Pret a Manger in City of London, Westminster

Okay, I am so glad that I didn’t let the bad reviews stop me from going. They didn’t have the Houmous Wrap I wanted and so I ordered my Coconut milk Mocha. When I asked about the food options, the beautiful young man Ibraham, came out to show me what he recommended (he couldn’t do enough for me, he even trotted over and grabbed me a spoon on my way out!). I chose the Avocado and Chicken Sandwich and it was lovely. I could have maybe used a touch of salt, but it tasted perfect by the last bite. The amount and quality of the avocado was amazing. I know they make everything fresh every day, because I’ve had a Pret “Too Good to Go” bag from one of the service’s nearest LHR, on the M1 north and there was so much high quality food in it… which is why I had to grab the Bircher Muesli! Never have I ever had anything like it before and I craved it so much after I tried it. The Mocha is “not too sweet” and it’s pleasant. I feel like I am enjoying it without overwhelming my body with too much sugar, or coffee. It’s both nice and feels clean. I believe it was Vlad who made that and he rang me up for my food. He was serious, but he was totally nice when I was nice to him. I commented about the reviews and shock they had 3 stars, because they were lovely. And now I can say that the food and drinks were worthy of the visit and the staff a delight. I don’t know if I’ll ever go back there, but I hope that anyone who does after reading my review, has a wonderful experience too. As far as Pret, the brand, I had no idea how fresh and high quality the majority of the food options were. It’s a league of its own compared to the other coffee house brands and anywhere with ready made to go sandwiches and salads. I feel like it’s got more class and love. And to think that I avoided it for so long! I will remember now. Thanks guys!

The attitude on your staff this morning was gross. Couldn’t warm a toastie up and didn’t really understand what he was trying to tell me and then was super rude when I didn’t quite understand it. The girl was no better either felt uncomfortable to order, also if you can’t heat up toasties don’t have them out

It's not the best, the good thing is that it is at the bus station... come with a circus mood because you can see anything... hahaha

Another day I had a mocha with some other items. The barista with the hijab made a really good mocha to the point, I loved it! Few months later, today again on my way, I had 2 mocha's but it was not up to the expectation unfortunately. It was just coffee shot, hot chocolate powder with steamed milk, but the milk was kinda luke warm to cold, not tasted fresh and also too much foamy milk. However, the team members were really good, and changed my drink after I asked them to make me hot chocolate and put the shot on top of that. I don’t know about pret standards of making that drink, but the way I saw in making mocha, they put chocolate powder on the bottom of the cup and on top of that coffee shot and then they filled it up with the steamed milk. It tasted too sweet in the last few sips. I wish a proper hot chocolate blend will make it taste evenly and better till the last sip.

no ice - why advice iced drinks then? also staff were dead behind the eyes and were very unfriendly and slow. waste of my time.

staff member was rude and there were very few bins. the bins they did have were overflowing and disgusting

the indian lady working at the till refused to refund me my discounted amount even though i scanned my club pret for a sandwich. she insisted and shook her head when it should be standard to ask whether i have the subscription before putting it in. not even helpful in the least and only tried to chase me away. by far the worst pret i’ve been to

Stale bread. The whole point of Pret is it's supposed to be fresh everyday. Standards are clearly slipping.

I witnessed a homeless man getting harrased, bullied and attempted to get thrown out, for simply having his breakfast. Matter of fact he was spending more money than myself and the rest of the customers. Absolutely appalling and extremely unprofessional. A disgrace to society

We had a quick pick up at this outlet near the Victoria coach station. There was a long queue, but the staff there were quick and patient and served with a smile. We picked up some snacks, cold drinks and chocolate mousse. This was good for the long journey to Nottingham. Good service and good taste what more do you need for the price you pay.

Food was fine. The member of staff who served me didn't seem to want to be there. Didn't say a word to me whilst he was serving me and practically threw my order at me. Having worked in both catering and food retail I understand how a bad day can make you feel, but there is absolutely no excuse for such unprofessional service.

Attendant very impolite. Food is not good also. Beggars inside the place.

The cup is not good. After some time passes, it opens, and the coffee falls. I lost my money and my trousers.

Dropped in today to grab a quick sandwich for my friend before they caught a coach. To say the experience was abysmal was an understatement. An incredibly rude man served my friend (who is still a child). He was snappy, insisting he only pay in cash if he has exact change and then changing his mind. When he was given a tenner he did a full check of the note as if it was fake. He then slammed the change, which was incorrect but we were too upset to say anything, into my friends hand. Completely unacceptable experience, it was aggressive and unprofessional. This wasn't due to a rush or anything, there was literally no queue, this was just terrible customer service.

I was travelling to Paris on Fri at 8am. 7.45am I went to pret. I picked up 3 Egg Avocado, tuna baguette, I grabbed 2 water, I asked one team member on the floor who was filling the drinks to help me get a 3rd bottle of water. He replied " the water is there, go and take it yourself" ... knowing i had so many stuffs in my hand and to hear such a reply.... sorry to say that the guy was really rude and misbehaved... customer service is crucial ... Very poor response from the guy and am really disappointed

Cashiers and barista were nice. Food shelves were almost empty not many options left.

Worst franchise in all of UK. Even the food seems to be substandard, smaller portions or incomplete preparation, compared to other branches. It’s in a squalid dangerous environment, surrounded by rough sleepers near the coach station. Store layout is very cramped. A few dirty benches. Rude staff who barely communicate in English. I wonder if the warehouse kitchens where Pret’s food is prepared sends bellow par standards to certain branches based on environment and customer demographics. The sandwiches, pots and coffee I bought here are worse than other branches.

Bad service staff doesn't make coffee as desired rude reaction they reply it's only like this , it's normal to have special requests on your coffee ........... low expectations

Terribly made cappuccino by a guy in oversized glasses. Quite horrendous

I live locally and pay the monthly subscription. However recently all the decent staff and left and most of the staff don’t know how to make a flat white and refuse to listen . Today I had a temporary member of staff who said his name was Steven , argue with me in front of customers . This branch really does need sorting out as the staff talk to each other whilst serving and get orders wrong and then argue with customers . Where is the manager ?

I visited this Pret yesterday after a very long journey, after waiting a few minutes for service even though no one was in the shop apart from me, I ordered an Iced drink and I understood if there was no ice to make it, but the attitude form barista is unacceptable, shouting that to me she still has no ice and she is not gonna make any iced drink, she could just say that without shouting and making angry faces, the server was surprised to the point he left till without finishing my transaction. I did have already very hard day and she made it even worse. I've been working in hospitality industry for years and I know it's stressful but it doesn't mean you have to be rude. It's time to train your people to know how to be polite to people even if they are not able to provide some sales.

Not organised at all. One barista on the bar during pick times. They forget to make my coffee. And I had to wait for a while.

Pleased don't buy a coffee from this place I had to duck out to catch my coach which was just about to leave. I don't even know when I was going to get my coffee if I did stay behind. The baristas take too long to make their coffee. Soft drinks still on the crates and not put on the shelves. Please avoid at all costs. Your coach journey is more important!

I asked to warm my croissant. The lady in the counter said unfortunately she can't do it. I don't know that doesn't make any sense. Worst service from where I get my best coffees. Please I request to the manager look for it. Thank you.

A good place to wait and recharge yourself before the coach comes. We are heading to Manchester city centre and will take a 5 hours coach so it is our brunch in the small cafe there. Amble space and nice surroundings, food is fresh and nice. Cannot complain for such a price.

Ho assaggiato un cinnamon danish, veramente delizioso e un chocolate chip cookie altrettanto buonissimo. In accompagnamento ai due ho preso anche un latte che però era leggermente troppo scaldato, risultava quindi al Plato un po’ bruciato. Le commesse sono gentili e l’ambiente gradevole.

Je mets rarement des mauvais avis mais la faut pas déconner !! 5h30 c'est normalement l ouverture . Nous attendions notre bus ce matin pour Liverpool , mon ado et moi avions soif et nous voulions acheter de l'eau et de la nourriture pour le bus. Le vendeur a décidé de nous prendre pour des idiots pendant 30 minutes . Il a bien compris que nous voulions consommer puisqu il a pris plaisir à ne pas ouvrir et nous regarder comme des animaux derrière une vitre . Sans parler de son hygiène finalement on a pu trouver dans un magasin une rue plus loin. Niveau hygiène et sécurité zéro !!! Il y a un papier devant la porte avec les horaires cela ne sert à rien puisque 6h le magasin n'était pas encore ouvert !!

There was not any sandwich at 8 am and the coffee was cold

I travel a lot and visit this location once per month. My experience was always okay until today. The staff were rude, didn't smile or say thanks, even if people thank them after being served. At 8 on Sunday morning, there were only 2 people working behind the counter, and 1 of them was clearly struggling with so many coffees to prepare. The coffee machine was not cleaned, so my coffee tasted like burnt coffee. The glass was not filled with milk, so I asked for more milk, and the staff member poured milk through the lid hole, spilled milk on the cup, and told me: there you go. I worked in hospitality for years, and I haven't seen something similar happen. There was no sorry involved when I asked him to clean the glass. He looked annoyed, I said thanks and have a nice day, and I left. Pret, train your staff, pay them better salaries, maintain some standards. Prices are already too high for the quality you offer.

no ice at 5pm… the staff are quite rude as well, one yelled at other customers. The seating area closes before 6pm. Most Pret I visit have friendly staff except this one

Absolute rubbish service.. The staff always seem half dizzy and confused.. I've had my order forgotten more times than I can count with my fingers. (Which is amazing because they have the orders on screen.. What's really annoying is that for over a month they have been claiming their filter machine has been broken.. But instead of putting a sign up, they let us queue up for ages only to be told its still not working.. and now after a month of this annoyance, they are now saying they don't serve filter anymore. (Even though its still showing on the online menu) Bit lame for a shop that is supposed to be coffee experts.. I'll never use the one in Victoria again..

Great location for a pret, coffee was good as normal and as I have a subscription as well I drink them a lot. Great you got a discount of food with a subscription as the food is always good. Perfect if your going on a trip from the coach station, as located just in side departures. Was really clean as well

No toilets! But worse is the staff, and their behavior. It’s supposedly a 24h open place, and it's 6:35 am, half of the cafe is closed because waitress doesn’t wanna clean that part, and says that those tables will open at 7am. The other half is completely full, no place to sit, people are standing here and there, but she still wouldn’t open the empty section and gets into quarrels with customers.. Disgraceful!

First time trying this brand. Was actually a very good surprise. The croissant was so damn delicious and taste exactly like the one we can find in France. (as a French person I'm very satisfied and happy of this discover) but unfortunately the coffee was not a pleasure at all.. Feel like the barista don't know how to make the difference between a latte and a flatwhite and even the technic, it was very bubbly. :(

They dont listen. I had to repeat my order 3 times and they still got it wrong. I asked for a hazelnut hot chocolate with half a shot of coffee. They made me a weak hot chocolate and then when i took it back they just added a shot of coffee instead of remaking the drink ehich made it way too strong. Ridiculous

Mark was a very rude shop assistant and he chose to serve somebody else although I was the first in line.

The staff(three females working around 17:00 on 3rd dec) were so rude to me when I requested if they can make my coffee faster. More focused on talking and humouring amongst themselves which is okay but not when it’s slowing down their service. One of them started acting as if it was a street fight and other kept arguing how it had been just a minute. Ridiculous attitude!

The worst coffee shop in the world. Staff are incompetent, rude and see customers as a problem- they have a real can't do attitude. Drinks aren't made properly. Prices are shocking for the service and quality provided. The only time I'll ever come back here is to sit down waiting for the coach, I won't buy anything.

I can't complain about Pret Victoria Station. In fact in honesty I thought it would be more expensive, but no, I was happy with the price, one straight cup of tea and a Danish swirl, hot and fresh. Despite clearly vocalising myself, the staff member took 3 go's before she could gear what I was saying, and made it clear she was miffed about it, but get ho. May have been the accent, I can't imagine Pret gets many polite smoggies. Pretty good all round.

Went to get a mocha this morning and i enquiry about blue light card or NHS discount. The staff member kindly gave me a free drink on the house. He was very polite and friendly service 🙂

I was at the station today and an pret employee saw the distress when I overheard an announcement stating that my coach would be leaving sooner than originally anticipated. Nevertheless he did a kind gesture and I am thoroughly grateful...thank you Nathan for your kindess today!

This café is the best. Great for dairy and gluten free people. Soy latte was made at perfect temperature and service was really quick considering we were at a busy station :)

All organic choices for tea and coffee. Love that there are 3 plant-based milks available (oat, rice-coconut and soy). Friendly staff! The only thing I wish is that when you ask a drink without the plastic lid that they would allow that, and even encourage you to not go for the extra single use plastic waste instead of replying “no we have to put the lid on for safety reasons”. That is just a lame excuse that doesn’t make sense…

The young lady serving clearly couldn't be asked to deal with me. I asked if they had still water not sparkling and she just said no. Left all my items on the counter without offering a bag, I had to ask someone else for one. She was too busy flirting with one of the stations workers. Very poor service

Opened 30 minutes late, slow and not organized staff. Food below average.

The man serving was counting coins from till as I waited to be served, I asked him to wash his hands, I waited, he went near the sink, touched the top of his fingers on one hand with a dribble of water no soap and preceded to make coffees, I was watching and a young girl said can I help I told her that I had asked the man to wash his hands, he said he did and he's not my servant, telling him to do this and that, I said it's basic hygiene, he told another young boy to refund my card and discarded the coffee, disgusting. he refused my coffee because I asked him to wash his hands .. yhe nice girl made me a fresh one

After opening no hot bakeries were available and huge que has formed instantly because dozens of people were waiting. To sum up we left without breakfast with 2 hours bus ride ahead. Shut earlier then the published specified time of 9pm wasn't happy as it was 20.43 and all I wanted was a quick sandwich. But they wouldnt let me in. Won't be using them again.

I used to go to this place but on the day and time im reporting this issue there was a thin lady who prepare drinks act very rudly against me. This kind of action totally inappropriate and not good for the shop as well.(i saw this happened to another customer as well.she should learn how to treat customers and I ll never go to this place again (in victoria coach station).

Sign and site says open at 6, but nearing 6.45 and no sign of opening soon, shame as I was looking forward to grabbing a coffee before my long coach journey.

Food and coffee great , however some staff training on friendly customer service seem required. Cheerful service with a smile it was not.

A nice mini can of elderflower before a coach home back in may 2019 or 18 , price is about what these franchises are so not bang for buck

I am a regular customer of Pret’s and use this company’s service on a daily basis. However, the pret’s at Victoria Coach station is horrendous. Several of the staff working on the till or preparing drinks look extremely miserable. They sometimes forget your order, have no customer service skills and forget how to smile. Been in to this store several times over the last few months and the staff never improve. Some look demotivated, uninterested and all seem like best friends talking too much and showing limited interests in the customers. I wouldn’t want to see this store on a Monday morning. Please improve by speaking to the staff on how to show enthusiasm for their role and maintain the reputation Pret’s thoroughly deserves.

By far the worse customer service, rude members of staff etc most members of staff are chatting behind the tills. Where’s the management? Just extremely messy, unprofessional and no organisation.

All the members of the staff are nice, but Aala ( sorry if my spelling is wrong) is a such a lovely girl! A+ customer service, always smiling and makes you feel happy too. She is doing a Great job for Pret !

Shout out to Nabeel! He was very polite and nice, I forgot a part of my order and he followed me to the station to bring it to me. He went an extra mile for making my day! Thank you, Nabeel!

Love pret usually but the 2 people who served me were rude and had no manners whatsoever.

The Energetic staffs brightens my day! They provides exceptional customer service, great vibes and made customer feels very welcomed! I would rather walk a bit longer to this one than going to the one in King’s rd where the staffs are laidback and gives a “you are not welcomed here” vibe..

I've always loved pret and especially their soups. Today I decided to have one while waiting for a bus. Mfriend and I sat down at a table that tbh was a bit wobbly. I had to stand up at some point and the table wobbled and managed to spill the soup absolutely everywhere. The staff was extremely nice, helped me clean and brought me a fresh soup immediately, even if it was partly my fault. It was busy and they still managed to be very nice and provide great costumer service!

I have so much impressed by all the staff members at the VCS. They are enthusiastic and hard working personalities. Their communication skills are very good with respective manner. The girl who made my hot drink was spot on. The mixing was of high quality. Credit to IKHLAS. Also not forgetting the rest of the team on the day - NAFISAH, NASRIN and HANI. Keep the good work-Hakuna Matata !

Standard Pret a mangee. Even if it says it open at 6am that is a lie. It's 6:35 right now and here I am, without a coffee. Please update the opening times.

Honestly I would give zero stars. I do love Pret products and I've been in so many Pret all around the country, but the one at Victoria Coach Station is absolutely awful. I had to repeat three times the coffee I wanted, and then they made the wrong one, and it was so hot that I had to wait about 30 minutes to drink it. And the staff is not friendly at all, kind of rude, not smily, they looked like walking deads. Please, stay away from this place.

My partner and I were at Victoria coach station at 6am waiting on our 7am coach. We noticed pret a manger was due to open at 6.30 which seemed perfect timing to grab some much needed breakfast and embark on the rest of our journey It got to 6.35am and another member of public asked 1 of the 2 men in store if it was opening now as it was due to. The man said 'no, 45minutes' then proceeded to stock the shelves exceptionally slowly whilst eating one of the pret baguettes in front of a full coach station... they seemed very rude and miserable and even by 7am when we left they still weren't close to opening. They are unprofessional and in no way an asset to the company. Luckily the other cafe and Greggs had opened early presumably in anticipation of pret opening late and losing custom once again How to give less then 1 star
