Stopped here on the bike today for the first time, as I was in the area doing site visits with work. Immediately got told off for mentioning another cafe a few miles up the road 😂 I was made very welcome with typical biker banter, and told to go and annoy the regulars sat outside, who. I soon got to k ow a bit better. Great cafe, really tasty sausage torpedo with proper local sausages, and nice coffee. I will definitely be back!

Hungry Hogs was a NRR checkpoint. I stopped here for a break and a bite to eat,i am so glad i did. Firstly the atmosphere here was so friendly, the place was clean and the food smelt great. I had a sausage sandwich and coffee and it was absolutely gorgeous and filling. Apart from the good natured banter as it is in the countryside it is a nice quiet place to park of which there is plenty of room on the large layby. I have no hesitation in recommending Hungry Hogs to all and i will definitely be stopping here again if i get the chance. Cloudmaker on Youtube.

Very friendly and helpful staff as far as they are able. Sadly with three large steps to the indoor seating area not wheel chair friendly. Menu very limited but then it is a transport cafe and priced accordingly.

We were on our way home from a good day out riding and in need of some Tea & Coffee and we by chance came across The Hillside Café who were wrapping up for the day as it was 16:00 (4) in the afternoon but they got out some chairs and cooked up some excellent sausage baps. So we were Very impressed by the Service and the welcome and we will be going back there in the future really nice to have met you guys and we will recommend you to our RBLR Members and friends

A warm welcome and great breakfasts at reasonable prices. A great place to rest up your travel weary self for a short while, have a chat with other visitors and grab some grub. Inside and outside seating areas and bikers are most welcomed.

Called in with a mate whilst out for a ride on our motorcycles. Proprietor Sue is a real character. The place is clean. The grub is good and not too expensive. What’s not to like?

The new owner, Su, has taken this business on, now known as "Hungry Hogs at Hillside Cafe." Yes, there is a connection with motorcycles in the name and the fact that Su used to run the food outlet at the Uppingham Harley dealership.

Clean, cheap and cheerful. I drive passed this cafe every morning and called in one morning with colleagues for breakfast to celebrate finishing for Christmas. Lovely bacon and sausage sandwich with large mug of tea for £4. Great value and extremely welcoming and polite staff. Excellent service.

Dropped in for a quick breakfast after a site visit. Nice welcome, clean, decent toilets, free papers, TV. An example of how roadside food should be done.

We as a family, have had two Sunday lunches at the Green Dragon, both meals were lovely. Staff are warm and welcoming, great choice of drinks ,all served in traditional and comfortable surroundings. Brilliant local pub. Thank you.

Our grandchildren love a trip to the Olive Kitchen, it is quirky and fun. The best of pancakes and waffles are made there and that is the best thing. Tony is always good value and always loves to see people.

The Wheatsheaf is a hidden gem! Their Sunday lunch was absolutely delicious, and the service was top-notch. We followed up with a delightful dessert to round out the perfect meal. We took part in a 5-mile hike around the lovely countryside that surrounds Langham afterwards to walk it all off! If you're looking for a fantastic Sunday Lunch, I highly recommend giving The Wheatsheaf a try. You won't be disappointed! The beer selection and quality on the day we visited (real ales) were OK to good, middle rating there, but I wasn't there for a session, so that didn't detract. The seating layout is not as cosy as it could be, but the staff were very accommodating when we called in for a beer after the walk, allowing us to sit in the dining area. All round highly recommended
