Highfield Fish Bar in Arun

Simple no frills fish n chip shop. I've travelled around the coast and I'm always searching for a better chip shop, I have not found one better than Highfield. Prices are low for the quality. A Cod n Large chips is a tenner. It's £12.50 most other places.

Been coming here nearly forty years and despite a couple of others within easy walking distance it really is my all-time favourite.,,food always cooked to perfection and served with a smile...you won't beat Kevin and the girls!

I have been using this chippy for several years now and find it the best in town by a country mile ,,,the food is Allways tasty and hot and good value for money,, the owner is Allways chatty and happy akd easy to deal with as are the assistants who work for him ,, especially the young lady who seems to work on Friday nights and likes running ,,very helpful and a great sense of humour as has the owner ,, so I find it hard to understand a previous review that seems to say the opposite,, Friday night I picked up my food and it’s was as nice as Allways freshly cooked abd service with a smile ,,, so do yourselfs a favour abd get down to Highfield fish bar and enjoy the best chippy in Bognor..

Honestly guys...Don't do it to yourself. My only way of coping with this dreadful place was to consume, what I would describe as, a 'monstrous serving' of Tesco own-brand whiskey! Unfortunately, that was the only serving of food and drink that had any substantial quantity that night. We were lured in to a false sense; the chap behind the counter, who took our order, was great. The lady who took our money...not so much! Listening to her, very rudely, tell us to get out the shop and make way for other customers was equally as painful as probing your brain through your ear canal with knitting needles that had recently been sterilised in a Bunsen Burner set to 'Blue'. Despite, on two occasions, once to the chap who began cooking our food and again to the evil lady who took our money, giving our order, they still got it wrong! We got home to find one of our mains had a very disappointing 'large' portion of chips, and the other main with no portion of chips! When we returned to sort this out we were again inflicted to this horrible, patronising response from the lady in question; we were being quite pleasant! :( Anyway, it's safe to say, that I'd rather get spanked by Covid than ever give this 'plaice' (Seriously, it's actually not funny!) a penny more for their over-priced, bland, tiny portions of food, or indeed their over-priced, unpleasant, huge portions of rudeness! Go catch your own fish, it'll be less effort.

We are not locals, but we’re travelling thru, friendly guy, lovely chips worth the visit. Also does vegan pea fritters, vegan burgers and mushrooms

We quite often get this on Friday for a treat. Always nice food, good service, friendly staff and generous portions!

Been going here for years and buy lunch once a week and occasionally at the weekend. Great portions and customer service.

Incredible food and the staff are fantastic. My local chippy and i wouldnt think of going anywhere else.

Great service friendly service and if the assistant only remmebered our ketchup it would help, very forgetful but great fun either way, threatened me with a ketchup bottle 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Popped in a few time recently and never had any issues. The staff are always friendly to me and my son and the food is tasty, fresh and hot. 100% recommend.

this is agreat chippy old style menu and good clean and tasty food and also good portions well worth the money

Only came here as our local chippy had shut for a fortnight holiday Just had chips which were good as far as quality is concerned, but it had to be the smallest 'large' chips we've ever had. No plans for a repeat visit.

No te defraudará con su pescado 'n' chips té/cena si tienes desde aquí. recién preparado por el propietario Kevin a la perfección. Su personal es muy agradable y siempre tienen una sonrisa y te hacen sentir bienvenido. Si vives en el Bognor Regis o alrededores y no han visitado el 'Highfield pescado Bar" que debería probar este "fish and chips" ... no sabes lo que te estás perdiendo.

Recogimos un 10% de descuento en el bono aquí desde nuestro parque de vacaciones, si tienes uno no te molestes es un lugar horrible.

The fish and chips from here are lovely , crispy chips fluffy inside , lovely crispy batter and well cooked fish . Would recommend to anyone wanting a fish supper take away .

it is hard to find a fish & chips bar that match the codfather in nortolt we had fish & chips twice in Bognor and although the fish was nice the batter and the chips do not compare to Northolt the staff here was ver nice and gave you a good welcome but the fish was ready and I am not sure how long it had been ther but it was ok

Best Food, Warm Welcome, Excellent Customer Service. Best Around, Also keep coming back and back, anybody on holiday or never been to this fish & chip shop I would recommended you try it
