Been here lots of times. Today very busy, staff dealt with very professionally. Bit of a wait for food but worth it. Enjoyed our late breakfast.

We came for brunch and loved everything about it. The staff were friendly and efficient, the surroundings were delightful and the food was excellent. We'll definitely be returning. The negative reviews really have left us baffled.

Much improved and good food selection. Had a fish goujon sandwich which was very tasty. Turkey sandwich looked good as well.

Food very poor for price, only just warm . Extremely disappointed particularly considering the prices. I not be visiting again and unfortunately cannot recommend.

Did I really pay £7.85 for one Americano and one cappuccino? Nice cafe and nice surroundings but I think you ought to look at your pricing structure.

I've been going years, all the staff have been, and are, very helpful and polite. It's good value for money and the food and drink is lovely. You feel very much at home. I highly recommend.

First the good bits - the service and coffee was good. Now the bad bits. The pizza base was undercooked edges dry and the middle soggy - pizza oven needs to be hotter. The all day breakfast - bacon like soles of a shoe, anaemic sausage best thing on the plate, hashbrown second best thing on the plate, two poached eggs with very pale yolk, odd smell and didn’t look right, beans a very strange bland taste, and a bland garlic (?) mushroom with a strange taste of which the entire meal had. Tried to mask with tomato ketchup but that didn’t work, all served atop a large thick soggy slice of toast. So left most of food on plate, a rarity with a fry-up. Might have been an off day, shame such poor quality expensive food discovered at Redbrick, where they have some of the top British furniture labels that bring customers in. Disappointing.

Great food which we both enjoyed but as someone has already said about 10% service charge on our bill for 2 people, this was declined and an appropriate tip left. Will go elsewhere when next visiting, if we were a party of 6 plus I could understand but 2 people, come on stop driving custom away by your silly pricing.

Ordered 2 flat whites and 2 x egg and bacon on toast. Extremely overcooked bacon so was scared to try the poached eggs and yes you guessed it - they were like bullets. Wasn’t expecting Michelin star food but at least learn to cook an egg. Staff going through the motions asked how meal was and when told eggs were hard couldnt have cared less and just wondered off lol When it was time to pay they then tried to bang a service charge on A service charge in a cafe for 2 people!!

Polite staff, nice bacon rolls. Went to till and was given bill which included 10% service charge. A bit presumptuous given there was only 2 of us and the service was the bare minimum you'd expect. Stopping expecting customers to subsidise your wage bill - assuming the staff see it - and pay them a decent wage. 3/5, 2/5 for the older man presenting me with the bill. Unlikely to eat there again anytime soon. And whose idea was it to let dogs in. Get a grip.

Had a lovely meal with the better half. You asked if you are happy with service charge, we had good service.

Wow where to start!! This great hidden away cafe and restaurant was the highlight of our trip to redbrick. Located on the first floor just round the escalators is a warm, welcoming and very tasty restaurant! I had the breakfast veggie bagel and my mum had the pork schnitzel sandwich, absolutely delicious. We got a portion of fries too which are 10/10. There’s a huge selection of dishes to choose from and the chef is so accommodating if you require dietary restrictions. There’s a huge choice of cakes and treats available too - which are all to die for. The service was great, very attentive and friendly staff. Can’t wait to come back!! Definitely recommend :)

We have eaten many times in the Hideaway Cafe. The food is always amazing. We had cashew chicken salad - delicious, and chicken burger. Again delicious and both generous portions. There’s a good atmosphere here being part of this fantastic mill. The deserts and cakes are also delicious. I can highly recommend eating here on your next visit to Redbrick Mill.

£25.40 for three coffees and three buns! Almost £8.50 each, I can hardly believe this. I have read of a service charge by other reviewers, so guess that applied with us today? No mention of this if so. Anyhow, a service charge in a cafe? What is going on in our country. So annoyed to read about a hidden service charge I cannot even comment on food & service. Youve been warned folks!

Me and my good lady went today and wasn't happy at all.. I was charged £3.50 for a 85 pence can of coke to start with , then my wife's coffee was cold. When we told the manager he brought us hot water instead of replacing it. My bacon sandwich came with a hash brown and the bacon was cremated. And the cost for this sandwich £7.50. Its day light robbery so our last visit.

We were doing a bit of furniture shopping and came across this place. The staff were totally excellent and simply couldn’t be faulted. The cafe itself was spotless and nicely presented and the food was restaurant standard without a doubt. Not the sort of place that you would go specially to but if you are shopping there I would highly recommend it!

This is a nicely presented cafe but overpriced. We had two lattes, which were £3.50 each according to the menu. This seems rather more expensive than other independent cafes or chain coffee shops, especially for just an average size cup. In fact, we noticed afterwards that a latte in the cafe on the same floor as Made.com is £2.90. When we came to pay, we questioned the cashier as to why we were being charged £7.70 rather than the £7 we expected. She very casually said it was due to the 10% service charge. There had been no mention of this from the waiter & I don’t believe this was written on the menu. I’ve never heard of a cafe charging a service charge. We had the charge removed without a problem but we won’t be returning.

Nice food, however the service charge should be optional. There was no mention from staff that this would be added on. I didn’t feel like there was a need for this service charge at all. Completely unnecessary for a cafe.

Whilst visiting the Redbrick Mill, we decided to have lunch at the Hideaway Kitchen Cafe. The welcome and service was friendly and very good. The menu had an interesting range of choices, and when served the freshly prepared meals were delicious and excellent. However this comes at some considerable cost and the drinks were very expensive, perhaps aligning with this upmarket retail outlet. The overall bill was also increased with an unannounced 10% service charge. Despite rating the service and food highly, we do not feel that the overall cost provides good value for money, and this would dissuade us revisiting.

Love Redbrick but Hideaway Kitchen let’s you down . We love Redbrick , service in Made showroom outstanding as always Hideaway Kitchen unfortunately a big let down . Told table service then we we asked what cakes they had she didn’t know ‘but you can go and look’, tried to take plates when we clearly were still eating , whacked on service charge without asking.. poor Made.com totally outstanding though 🤩

I went to Hideaway Kitchen with a few friends after an afternoon at Red Brick Mill and it was delightful! The pork belly salad was to die for and so was the warm chocolate brownie! The perfect end to a lovely afternoon. Plus the staff were very accommodating and definitely topped off the experience. We will be returning for sure!

Family meal. More bar staff needed and some did appear somewhat stressed. I ordered the rack of ribs, they tasted lovely but were no where near hot enough. Good JD sauce. The corn on the cobs were inedible, boiled within in an inch! My husband enjoyed his beef burger, but overall, for the price of food, it’s nothing special. Most of the party were just ‘erm, it was okay’. Good price on a bottle of red wine and the food came out as we ordered, we they wanted us to pay at the bar due to party size. Main male staff member greeting as we walked in was friendly.
