Absolutely amazing food truck – a must-try! I stumbled upon this food truck by chance, and I’m so glad I did. The burgers are out of this world – juicy, packed with flavor, and perfectly grilled. The fish tacos? Simply outstanding. Fresh, crispy, and bursting with vibrant, zesty flavor – easily the best I’ve ever had. And don’t even get me started on the doughnuts... soft, fluffy, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Pure heaven! The service was super friendly and fast, and everything was made with obvious care and love for great food. This food truck is a gem – I’ll definitely be coming back for more!

Lovely friendly staff, big portions

There's nothing hiding at the hideaway let me tell you. We pulled in a little bit dubious about this burger van/gazebo/portaloo combination down a rickety old country lane only to be met with this gorgeously composed menu hand written in chalk on the side of a shipping container. The couple were very nice and our orders were taken a chief burger, chicken and beef burgers with salad bacon and cheese served with fries. A smoked boar hotdog with cheese a couple cans of soft drink £20. In all honesty we thought a bit steep for a "burger van" holy mother of Mary on the back of a motorcycle burger van on the outside. One hell of a kitchen on the inside. The food was out of this world phenomenal. My opinion on value for money has never changed so quickly the portions. The freshness of the product. No grease just layers of amazing flavour. Please please please go and give the hideaway a go! Fantastic little spot that deserves the spotlight.

It is a beautiful halfway point when you are taking a hike around the area. Beautiful vies of the countryside. The food was ok. It is what it is and expected when you are cooking from a food truck. I'm not sure the homemade chicken burgers were homemade, though. They were quite dry. It is a shame that the eating area overlooks the car park and blocks the view. Other than that the staff are very friendly. Prices vary, however, I thought was quite steep, considering. Anyhow, judgment cones from your own experience, and the area is a great place to explore.

So delicious, I pass this every time I head to the beach and finally made the decision to stop in. We ordered fish tacos and chilli loaded fries. The homemade nacho chips were amazing and a fresh salsa not slop from a jar complimented the crispy tacos. The loaded fries loved up to their name, delicious chilli. There was a few vegetarian options but possibly only one vegan offering depending on vegan mayo being available. This is my only criticism but an easy fix if you're reading 😉 beautiful view right up to chivvy and relaxed environment

Good views to have a drink with food.

We drove past Hideaway and decided to double back and grab some food. This is a hidden gem. They really understand flavour! I had a bacon cheese burger that left a smile on my face. The donuts looked amazing. My other half had the chilli loaded fries and they were impressively tasty. I have long said that great burgers can be done in a burger van and I'm pleased to say that Hideaway has absolutely nailed it. The views sitting outside in the sunshine was an added bonus!

We ( son, daughter & myself) popped in for the first time, after a day on the beach (porthtowan). We ordered 2 loaded fries with brisket and one chilli beef nacho. We caught the pair just getting ready to close up, they said ordering was no problem as they would take a while to ‘shut up shop’ The food came out - the lady serving was very polite, and friendly. The food was, dare I say it - piping hot, with homemade sauces and dressing, the salsa was delicious, fresh and crisp, the meat was melt in the mouth, and though we were all ‘starving’ we couldn’t finish it all, and took home the homemade donuts - the salted caramel were to die for delicious! ( my daughter commented )- it was better than a lot of restaurants we’ve ate at, - better food, and very reasonably priced. Beautiful scenery over- looking the valley, sun was shining - perfect end to a perfect day. We will definitely be returning, as we only live a couple of miles away, didn’t even know it was there, - hideaway is a good name 😂

Fantastic site for a spot of quiet lunch that serves generous portions and delicious food! The views are spectacular and the service is friendly and efficient. Have been twice now. They make their own bread and it's wonderful.

Decided to give this place a try last night. Beautiful quiet location, very friendly staff, and the food was superb. I had the mexican burger and my wife had the brisket burger, both came with salad and chips. Both tasted phenomenal and I’m even contemplating going there again tonight. I wholeheartedly recommend this little gem and I’ll definitely be a regular customer here. 👌

Found this place by accident as wifey was craving a hotdog and we can't get enough. Dirty loaded chips are amazing and the hotdogs are on another level. Had the burgers before along with a takeaway breakfast box.. a little gem of a place with stunning views.

Had first trip here just other day and had a burger nice fresh cooked food tasted good and prices are good for today's prices friendly staff and even bring to your table Also had a hotdog and not sure if onion is included in price but had no onion in but do think it should be included in price as it's one thing that's annoying about some places when you have to pay extra for every little extra fully understand paying when it's a item allready in for example a hot dog that has roll sausage onions but then you want cheese or something extra or a burger and want extra mushrooms or extra burger then understand paying Extra that said sauce is free I'd suggest trying a little before covering you're food might be just us but brown sauce tasted different to normal lol Only small gripe is could do with some plainer sausages for hotdogs for kids that don't like the strong taste and maybe a kids menu Won't drop a star for this and will be going again as need to try a breakfast box 🙂 Good to no onion's are included 🙂👍

We love coming here for lunch at the weekends, the food is amazing and the staff are so lovely and friendly! The doughnuts are simply delicious and made fresh, but they don’t last long so would recommend coming early!

Absolutely in love with this little place. Gorgeous food and great prices (breakfast, dohnut and bottle of drink for around £11). System is no fuss, just order at the counter and take away or eat there on the benches. Love that they grow some of their produce and make their own donuts, bread and burgers! Nice view of the farm from the seating area and nice decorations, overall lovely atmosphere. Dog friendly. Great little place to get good quality hot food on the go. Would definitely recommend. I hope they stay open I will definitely be using them a lot!

Ordered a hot dog for the toddlers lady lovely accommodating to split in half for the children as a big one too big for one each. We had cheese burgers absolutely lovely juicy mouthwatering and salad and fries included in price. Very good prices for 2023. Lovely little bench to sit and eat with amazing views. Clean and tidy environment.

Great little spot with a great selection of food cooked to order. There were 5 of us and 3 kids, all really enjoyed our food and were stuffed by the end. Really recommend.

What a find! Gorgeous food in a gorgeous location. Had the fish finger sandwich ( it was made from scratch fish goujons not your Birds Eye nonsense) with lemon mayonnaise. Took a home made donut home too…nom nom! Excellent chocolate to donut ratio.

Lovely tuna, sweetcorn, mayo, spring onion and salad, 9" Sub. Made fresh, as you wait. Nice people, quality food, good prices and a great location. 👍

The best doughnuts you can get in the area! They're absolutely delicious, had them a few times and they never disappoint. They are always fresh and the choice of filling is always great. Very friendly staff too. If you're in the area you should definitely try them😁

A lovely place with friendly staff, our family really enjoyed our breakfast here. Gorgeous fluffy American style pancakes with maple syrup and the breakfast bap I had was packed full and great value. Nutella donut went down very very well with my two year old! Lovely countryside views while eating. The owners happily chatting to my very chatty kids has ensured that they'll want to visit again!
