Bouncer called Ian was fantastic My son got a bit too worse for wear and was found by Ian in the toilets He had the sense to get my son's phone and ring me to pick him up When I got there he was looking after him and helped me get him to the car I honestly can't thank Ian enough, he's got the best attitude and he's just amazing Thank you Ian

Mixed reviews in the town tonight, especially the so called doorman at hidden. The man on the left of the picture no issues thank you. the larger so called "gentleman" on the right, huge issue, long story but the main issues very simply were. 1. Lier, 2. rude, 3. unprofessional, 4. Foul mouthed and over all a very nasty person.

Was in the area meeting up with old friends from university. We went to Hidden bar. What a amazing vibe great drinks deals. Also the manger Rhys went above and beyond one I lost my phone helped me find it again. Great bar, great vibe amazing service.

Ownership and male management are appalling speaking about females in a degrading manner in ear shot of customers could think of better bars to go to in Sunderland Already left a review on Google and had no response from business

Loved the decor on FB so decides to visit early Sunday evening. On walking to the entrance a group of people were sitting, we assumed they were drinkers turned out one was a greeter who asked us to sign in - it wasn’t the warmest of welcomes. Once inside, decor is amazing, part is outside as it was part of an outdoor market. Plenty of gas fires to keep warm and indoor parts. Covid-19 precautions in place though our table hadn’t been cleaned so we had to wait a few minutes and then our drinks order was incorrect but rectified after a short wait. Reasonable prices. Lovely ambience. Hopefully Live music will be back and we’ll pop in again!

Very tasty food, great service and lots of memorabilia. For a small business you can’t get any better. Well worth a visit.

Nice place to have a drink it's like outside but not haha and it's probably the only place in the town that plays proper house music. If your in sunderland on the pop give this place a go 😉

The place has literally nothing going for it, ten customers would be classed as a busy night, think they are a classy cocktail bar but are far from it, far better and cheaper places to visit in Sunderland, promo guy has a bit of charm about him tho 💯

Although atmosphere is non existent as absolutely dead.. we were asked to move as table reserved from 6 so managed plans accordingly.. at 5:15 bar man told us guests had arrived early and we were to move after spending £75 on drinks! Not impressed!

Was great at first. Place is decorated lovely and drinks are creative. However, we were on a table that we were told was reserved from 6. Knowing we would leave before 6 we said it was fine. To then be asked at 5:20 to move as the people had came early. We didn’t know the table was reserved when we sat down as nothing was on the table and we had been there almost 2 hours before being told. Found the experience bad, as we had been having a good time. We had all spent over £70 in drinks and expected better. Even if they had been polite and arranged another table for us, instead of just being told to get up.

Was here last week with friends for a few drinks it was lovely atmosphere and lovely surroundings drinks are a bit pricey but we didn’t mind

Place was recommended & later stumbled across the place. Quirky, funky, good crowd & atmosphere. Go!

Visited here last night with the girls and what a lovely place the decor is amazing the drinks are not cheap but it’s worth paying for the surroundings will definitely be back

Booked a cocktail making session for granddaughters birthday 6 people in our party. Had a large booth received a complementary prosecco on arriving, good banter with the mixologist and great tasting cocktails. Participated in making three drinks ...Porn star martini - Bird of paradise - Sloe gin. Included bar snacks session lasted about an hour and a half ….total cost was £135 which worked out at £22.50 each. We then stayed for a couple of more cocktails at 2 for £10. Had a good night and would recommend. Its open aired but have plenty of heaters around the place and covered booths.

Even though the drinks are not cheap, the outside decor makes up for it and the wife loves to smoke outside so non smokers beware! Comfortable seating area and plenty of heaters for those chilly days/nights. Slight draw back is the two small bars, each may not have all your order and another trip to the bar might be called for.

I’d heard of this bar from my son. He had explained where it was, but I needed a friend to point us in the right direction. We went in on a Saturday night and it was less than half full, which unfortunately is good for Sunderland lately. The place was a little cold, however it is quite a size and boasts some good features. There is a well-stocked bar with cold bottles (not always a given in Sunderland). All told, it is a good addition to an ailing town which will hopefully kick start it back into something of its former self.

What a nice concept for a bar. A great way to enjoy a night in something different. Decent selection of drinks. Nice door staff. Appears to be a vape friendly place.

Popped here for drinks because we had never been and is really nice and does a nice selection of gins if your a gin lover only thing was it was a bit cold with it being open so think it will be worse over the winter months

Visited with friends, good service, great selection of gins. Good value for money. Love the outdoor atmosphere with the holiday theme. Great gathering place.

I went for drinks with my friends and we went into hidden. People were just smoking and there were ash trays on the tables. We were in an area that had signs up saying no smoking but this made no difference. There is an open able roof down the centre of the venue but this was completely closed so we all inhaled second hand smoke whilst in there. This was brought to the attention of the staff but they dismissed our questions and said they are allowed to operate because of the open able roof. My point it was not open!!!!! A smokers paradise in 2017 but for any non-smoker it was completely disgusting.

This is a little gem that is only open at weekends even thou it’s open to the elements you would never tell as there are plenty of heaters. There are plenty of booths and tables about for you to sit at and with a large drinks menu there is plenty to choose from.

This is a fab bar and can't believe it was the original market. Great location. Served a delicious raspberry Gin. Worth a visit.

Visited this weekend with friends after hearing great reports . Because it was dark outside the venue was like a ski chalet , really pretty and with patio heaters . Nice range of drinks and a relaxed atmosphere . Great addition to Sunderland.
