**Update** Have just been back for Breakfast and it wasn't that great I'm afraid to say, so downgraded to a 3* now. My date had pancakes with strawberries and it looked like roadkill, and tasted very Mehhhhh, is all we could say. Panicked super thick and bland, like a cake almost. The only highlight was the delicious FroCo (frozen custard). I had the XXL muffin stack, which looked huge in the picture, but in reality no bigger than a Mac's one. Again just mehhhh. The only highlight was the magic dusted tater tots, nice. Photos attached for reference. Service still about the same, but as they'd just opened I got a bit of that 'justbwoken up' vibe from the young staff. Also, they seasonally change the menus so didn't have what I'd gone for, the French Toast which is heavenly. Real let down today really. **Previous review: Wow, the Burnt bacon ends in Bourbon sauce were stunning. So we're the battered Gherkins, yum. Fajitas also great. The only letdown was my friends Bird and Beast Burger, the chicken was lovely but the beef burger part tasted like something out of a freezer from Iceland. Shouldn't be served it's that poor. Didn't ruin the night though, good service and a great meal overall

Can't say much more other than go and take a good appetite with you!

Amazing food, amazing atmosphere, would definitely come for brunch again

We just spent an evening here for my mum's retirement and it was fantastic the staff couldn't do enough for us, we're very attentive and the food was outstanding, so very happy we decided to go here, booking definitely recommended as it was very busy did not affect the quality of service and food though couldn't be happier

We came over to Blackpool to see friends and they took us here for a bite to eat. Got to say we loved it. Staff were friendly and helpful, we were able to get a sample taster of the Brisket which was a nice idea as it made our mind up on having it. Food didn't take long but was amazing, with the side dishes and starter (which we asked to all arrive at the same) we had our taste bubs spoilt. Great food, sauces, and drinks. Now we are back home. We are now looking to go again to one over our way. Would easily go back again.

Superb American style food everything in super size and that truly American Hickory Barbecue taste and flavours.

Authentic. Mouthwatering. Flavourful. If I had to sum up my trip in 3 words, that would be it. That platter for 2 is no joke. It was seemingly never-ending, and each individual component complemented each other perfectly. Our server was Matt and he was very friendly and polite, very quick with service. A lady walked us through the platter when it came to the table explaining each bit and what it goes well with. They did miss plating the brisket, and even though it took less than a minute to grab it they cut a bit more for the trouble! Perfect service, unreal food and quality that demands a second visit. 100% recommend trying it yourself.

Always have a good meal there. Food is always incredible. It was Saturday night so service was a bit more slow and less personalised than usual (understandable). We had a good time. Drinks were fantastic as well.

Tasty excellent food and service

We've been here twice now. There is a great atmosphere,the staff are very friendly and inviting and attentive. The food is excellent and very well presented. We had the sharing platter last night and we do not regret it. A sample of various cuts of meat. All cooked to perfection just simply melted. A definite must visit for couples or family's alike. 👍👌

Absolutely incredible service and food the staff were incredible specifically John ( our host) smells incredible as soon as you walk in and the food tastes just as good 100% worth it, great care if customers as toiletries are provided in the bathroom including nappies and wipes in the baby changing/disabled bathroom, will 1000% be going again

Overated for what you get very poor

After having 1 bad experience here we wanted to give it a second chance. Well worth it. Since then been back multiple times. Food is delicious. Popcorn on the tables is a nice touch too.

Food and service was good Not sure about the open kitchen & chefs not wearing hats or beard covers however.. Would of been nice for bottled drinks to be served with ice, and table tap water to be chilled and not room temp Wouldn’t be reluctant to try again All round OK

While visiting Blackpool we decided to try the Hickory Smokehouse Fleetwood for my husband's birthday, so glad we did. The food and service was absolutely first class and really friendly staff.

Been here a few times and the food is always excellent. Can’t fault it. Unless you ask for “no ice” in your soft drink it gets completely filled with ice, without much volume for your drink.

Visited for a birthday dinner mid-week. The style and décor of the restaurant was really great - adds to the American feel. The staff throughout were really friendly and were very good at assisting with an allergy in our group. The food itself was also great. I shared the Smokehouse Platter (containing a selection of the different menu items) which was a great way to sample what the restaurant had to offer. For dessert I had the Pecan Trash Pie which was also really nice. The pricing was a little more on the premium side - but for the service and good food it was definitely worth it!

Terrible service, overly loud sound system. No Rose Wine or Pinot Grigio Wine available as had run out apparently. Server talking in untelligible fake accent, calling everyone love. Food quality well short of average compared to prices being charged. Toilets grim, with no loo rolls in gents loo. Provided most of this feedback to front dest on dleparture, no interest as too busy on their mobile phones to pay attention.. Total check just shy o £250.00 pounds including on line pre paid deposit, No chance of repeat visit, quite embarrassing as took my visiting family from Australia who were less than impressed with experience from start to finish. To be 100 percent honest, would have been better off going to McDonald's at the big Morrisons just up the road, Never again, avoid at all costs.

Waitress removed our starters before food was finished, ruined the meal to be honest. Service charge should also not exist, it forces the customer into giving a tip despite bad service, the food & drink are already expensive enough.. We'll be going to Wetherspoons next time instead.

First trip out to Hickory's and was really impressed by the layout and atmosphere. Beautiful restaurant and the service was excellent. Great parking, friendly staff and the decor was in true American rustic style. But unfortunately it all changed when the food arrived. The food tasted great but the portion sizes of the meat were small.First up were the chicken Tacos and corn dogs. 3 small Tacos and 3 small corndogs. Certainly not worth the price at all ,but ok ok....we were ready for the mains....and when they arrived i was really disappointed. The smoked beef rib was big but wasnt full of meat. One side was quite thick and then it got smaller and was virtually bone from the halfway point to the other side of the rib. £24.99? No ways! Then came the Texas style Brisket at £20.99...2 chunky but small pieces of meat that i finished so quickly it was rediculous. Lovely tasting " American" food but definitely NOT American sizes! Memphis syle full ribs at £24.99....wife enjoyed those and left 3 because they were very tangy...not because she was full. She told me she could of easily finished them . Sizzling Fajitas at £17.25...sons gf enjoyed those. All in all a very good experience but the meat portions were small. Unfortunately i doubt we will be back . Quite expensive , great tasting, but ...Where's the meat?

Got to admit this place is amazing, I loved every single menu item we bought. My litter brother became obsessed and went back the next day. Staff are super friendly, decor is amazing and honestly the food is sublime. You get my thumbs up and more.

Had an absolute amazing experience here for dinner. Booked a table 15 minutes before we arrived and they managed to fit us in even though it was extremely busy. The servers are so friendly and helpful. Food was so nice and they accidentally didn’t put something on my order through so it ended up coming a bit late but they gave me a free drink and took that item off the bill. I really couldn’t believe how great the service was. Would 1000% recommend and will definitely be back 😊

Great first experience of an American smokehouse for the misses birthday. Portions were large, food was amazing. If I lived local I certainly would come back again. If your staying at Haven it's also 2 mins down the road 😅

I’m suitably impressed by Hickory’s… Walking in the door you can smell the smoke from the smokers - you can tell that the food is smoked on site - even before ordering. We ordered the platter for two to try the brisket, pulled pork, chicken wings, two styles of ribs and the maple corn bread. Once we said we had some food allergies at the table the manager was in charge. He sat down with a tablet and took it all seriously and we felt no pressure that we were rushed. Importantly they didn’t just cover the top 14 allergies - they listed all the ingredients - very important when you’re allergic to more than the top 14. Food came out well presented and at a good temp. Cornbread was moist, the brisket impressive and the wings, while not crispy, had a nice deep salty smoke to them. Excellent smoke ring on the beef rib. Bbq is my thing and for a regional chain of places this is one of the best outside London for some of this. Grape soda was probably the only disappointment as it wasn’t as good as a Welch grape soda. A reasonable selection of bourbons and whiskeys if you like them. Every table seemed to have a birthday which got them a free cake with a sparkler in it. Would come again.

Joe, (the bartender), was very welcoming. He had a positive attitude towards work and you can tell his passion for the industry extends further than just showing up to work. Highly knowledgeable in regards to the drinks menu and how to craft them. He really enhanced the "American experience" getting himself and other patrons immersed in the NFL night! Thank you Joe!

Staff and food was enjoyable! Couldn’t really fault the food. The cobb salad starter was excellent. Meat was all quality and tasty. The problems come with the surroundings and the bill. We were placed beside the frozen custard topping station and honestly, there was a steady flow of unruly kids back and forward filling their hands with toppings and walking back eating, I’m not a germ freak but that’s very unpleasant- needless to say when I ordered the custard I had it plain. Really unhygienic The bill, I must say the food isn’t overly cheap but the quality is there so it’s fine. My issue isn’t the price it’s the tip. I’ve been to restaurants who suggest a tip but never aside from the US (which we aren’t, nor should an American style restaurant be attempting to sneak this in due to our staff waging laws) The smokehouse as a group apply a “tip” already on the bill and “promise” the server won’t make it awkward if you don’t want to pay it. Well, we didn’t experience “no awkwardness” and honestly I wanted the ground to swallow me up when I asked if we needed to pay it. She made it very awkward and unpleasant. WHY, in the UK are the applying a tip- it’s not the US, nor should customers be accepting this as the norm. Staff are paid an actual wage and to say it’s well advertised and the level of care you receive is “Southern style” is just a cope out. Sadly I must say, for this one reason alone I will not visit again.

First time at Hickorys, we went for our anniversary, pleasant staff made us feel welcomed and had a nice little touch of wishing us a happy anniversary. Food was quick and so very delicious. Highly recommend.

We visited for my dil birthday. It was wonderful. We have a celiac grand daughter and they were fantastic.

Was very disappointed tonight, we have been before and absolutely loved it so we booked a table of 14 to celebrate my friends dad being over from Canada. Having been before we recommended here and was really let down tonight on both food and service. Some of us had nearly finished before the last meal was brought out (which we had to chase up), finished before we was asked if we wanted any sauces, when asking a question to a staff member was completely ignored. Safe to say we felt awful for the members of our party that haven't been before and doubt they will go again

The food was absolutely amazing. However service was good although slow.

It was my first time visiting tonight and my god it was amazing. I took my Grandma and my little boy. We got the sharing platter which was massive - I had to take some home in takeout boxes! My little boy loved the popcorn and waving the little flag they had on the table. I also got one of the Cherry sodas which was sooo good I'm craving another one now I'm home. 🤤 I really enjoyed filling in the kids activity pack which I didn't notice said "strictly not for grown-ups" until it was too late - oops!

Great service from the moment we walked in, we were made to feel very welcome. The manager gave us a free sample of the brisket to try as it was our first time there. Staff were very attentive. The food was great. The chicken in the basket appetiser was amazing. The smoked brisket was beautiful. The campfire marshmallows were good too and managed to eat them all before the fire went out!! Overall a fantastic experience. I would definitely recommend. Also we advised the manager we were there to celebrate a birthday and we had a free dessert.

First time visiting and can't wait to go again. The atmosphere is relaxed, friendly, and cosy. The food, wow. Big portions, so be aware (with 3 teenagers and a husband, this worked well). The staff are super helpful. I'm Celiac and dairy intolerant, this was my first time eating out in months, but they catered brilliantly. Made me feel at ease and have lots of choice, which is rare for dietary/allergy menus. Frickles are a must, the totes are epic, and the meat, wow. This will be a regular haunt for us now.

What a find! Came here for my birthday and had a fantastic evening. Not only was the restaurant clean, tidy and welcoming, with a fantastic atmosphere and decor, but the menu was perfect, and the staff amazing. Clean toilets, tasty food and parking outside. A little expensive but worth it for a treat.

Could not of asked for more, Adam was friendly and helpful, all the staff were friendly and helpful. Food was excellent, kid's loved the movie theatre and popcorn. Cornbread was awesome.

Went tonight but unfortunately was disappointed ,we had to ask about our table 3 times as we had booked but it wasn't ready .we ordered and the food came in a good time but again unfortunately I wasn't impressed ,the coleslaw was actually awful and fries were cold ,sorry but over priced and over rated, it looks the part but wouldn't visit again

Came here as we recently tried the one in lincoln. We went for the share platter which as usual was fantastic. It was my 40th and my sons 18th and George and Jordan let my son make a milkshake behind the bar and gave us free desert. Many thanks for making my sons day

Wow,first time inthe place. Well impressed,really authentic,and the smell...out of this world! I had brisket,holy moly,it was sooo tender,with a lovely sauce,also a nice slaw,sadly the chips/ fries were a bit...just in a cup,prob just frozen like you get in all run of the mill resturantes. ...but none were left! Great place,deffo return!

Service is exceptional, food is great and the place looks good - couldn't recommend it more.

Awful ! Went in for the first time on Thurs 8th Thought we would order the Smokehouse platter for two £60 Everything was either burnt ( pulled pork ) or dry ( both sets of ribs ) the only meat worth tasting was the brisket . Otherwise pants ! Never again 😒

Brilliant as usual. Only disappointment was the menu change to more of a summer menu so less personal choice as I'm not a burger person but still options they've also stopped the deals at the minute which I love but understandable as it's peak season Everything was perfect and we'll be visiting again soon we've been multiple times

First time and it's amazing it's the best American diner/ smokehouse I've been to on this is of the Atlantic

we came here a couple days ago for our dinner, we've never been before. We were welcomed by some very polite members of staff who seated us with a bag of popcorn and took our drink orders. I can't remember the name of out waitress but she was only young but so polite professional and made us feel very welcome. The food was honestly so nice all meat was so tender and tasty and their milkshakes and sodas are so good🤌 10/10 would recommend this place to other holiday goers looking for somewhere to have dinner. The atmosphere was beautiful too. it reminded me of a saloon. Not to mention the female bathrooms has sanitary products to hand, aswell as hairspray, and they were very clean and well maintained.

It used to be be lovely butnow it's food is mediocre and the cinema is dirty and stinks and full of misbehaving children throwing popcorn and jumping on seats. The service was slow. Very disappointing

We ate here as 5 people with 4 different choices of food. The USDA St Louis ribs were wonderful With a Bourbon glaze.The babyback were lovely as was the triple burger and the fajitas tasty.We shared sweets of frozen custard and chocolate fudge cake.The service was excellent and we all said the food good and the place for a Tuesday night busy.Reccomend this establishment but a booking usually necessary.

Absolutely loved this place! Went with the wife for a date night, and wasn't disappointed. Our server was just after turning 18, and was knowledgeable, courteous and funny whilst serving us. It is definitely a meat lovers dream, we shared a bowl of Frickles to start and then the sharing meat platter for a main. Neither one of us left hungry! Cocktails and a few beers rounded it off into a very good night. Will definitely visit in the future

One of the best eateries around

Currently still here full to the brim of wonderful food, cocktails and dessert. All staff were so kind and helpful. Special mention to Sophie our server was brill. Could not fault a single thing. We came here for our 11th anniversary meal (last year was Paris!) and they even brought us a special board and complementary cocktails! 10/10

Go here every month or so, always delicious food. Meat just falls off the bone , great atmosphere and service every time !

Enjoyed and spent over £200. So was a bit irked when my son was told that another tub of dipping sauce would be charged. When the bill arrived they had charged an extra £1. Now, am I being petty or were they being greedy. You decide.

I don’t always take the time to write reviews for restaurants but felt I had to for Hickory’s. This place was so lovely, great staff and amazing food. We visited the Blackpool area from the midlands for 5 days, and ate twice here during that time. Each time we were so impressed by the experience. Great choices of food and it tasted beautiful. Each time we visited it was very busy but service was quick and friendly. I have a food intolerance which I mentioned to my server. The manager then came over and went through my food choices, without making me feel awkward or anxious, which was lovely! It was my sons birthday on our first visit and he got a lovely free dessert with sparkler and everyone singing happy birthday! Top notch from start to finish - so much so we have located a more local branch to us and will be visiting, in hope it will be the same as this place! Thanks Hickory’s!!

Really good quality food here. Love the theme of the atmosphere and it was definitely interesting to see they had a little mini theatre for kids to watch movies while the parents eat. Food cooked to perfection. Probably one of the best brisket meals I've had in a while.

Waw waw waw amazing. Where to start. The staff were very friendly and approachable. The kids were given popcorn and had a cinema inside Dory and nemo playing. The kids loved this. And a great idea. I had the pulled pork brisket. It was amazing and the Sauce... Waw I can't describe it but barbeque style but so so tasty. Wife had the burgers chicken and hash brown. It was delicious. The kids had the a delicious chicken poppers. And a burger. The cost was £70 so well well worth it and can't believe we never tried it before our last night going back to Scotland. If we had this up in Scotland it would be a massive hit. The menus were so different like a newspaper which was a good different as it stayed a good memory. Toilets were clean and smelled good. Kind of weird to say that but Blackpool toilets were not all that good but these were clean tidy and comfortable. Lots of cosy memories now the place was decorated 5 star.

Food was just OK, service very poor, waited long time to take drinks order, missing cutlery, asked twice for more kitchen roll, gave up and took one from table behind, asked twice for bill. Loud music, children's running constantly through restaurant. Very disappointing, won't rush back.

The meat here was unbelievable, the platter for one had everything. Juicy meat didn't need a fork just pull it of the bone. The bourbon gravy is sticky and sweet, so moreish I had 3 helpings. The service was brilliant too, hannah sorted us out straight from the start friendly and funny. This is a must try establishment. If you like smoked meat, this is the place to go, little expensive but so worth it.
