We visited for my dil birthday. It was wonderful. We have a celiac grand daughter and they were fantastic.

Was very disappointed tonight, we have been before and absolutely loved it so we booked a table of 14 to celebrate my friends dad being over from Canada. Having been before we recommended here and was really let down tonight on both food and service. Some of us had nearly finished before the last meal was brought out (which we had to chase up), finished before we was asked if we wanted any sauces, when asking a question to a staff member was completely ignored. Safe to say we felt awful for the members of our party that haven't been before and doubt they will go again

It was my first time visiting tonight and my god it was amazing. I took my Grandma and my little boy. We got the sharing platter which was massive - I had to take some home in takeout boxes! My little boy loved the popcorn and waving the little flag they had on the table. I also got one of the Cherry sodas which was sooo good I'm craving another one now I'm home. 🤤 I really enjoyed filling in the kids activity pack which I didn't notice said "strictly not for grown-ups" until it was too late - oops!

First time visiting and can't wait to go again. The atmosphere is relaxed, friendly, and cosy. The food, wow. Big portions, so be aware (with 3 teenagers and a husband, this worked well). The staff are super helpful. I'm Celiac and dairy intolerant, this was my first time eating out in months, but they catered brilliantly. Made me feel at ease and have lots of choice, which is rare for dietary/allergy menus. Frickles are a must, the totes are epic, and the meat, wow. This will be a regular haunt for us now.

Great service from the moment we walked in, we were made to feel very welcome. The manager gave us a free sample of the brisket to try as it was our first time there. Staff were very attentive. The food was great. The chicken in the basket appetiser was amazing. The smoked brisket was beautiful. The campfire marshmallows were good too and managed to eat them all before the fire went out!! Overall a fantastic experience. I would definitely recommend. Also we advised the manager we were there to celebrate a birthday and we had a free dessert.

What a find! Came here for my birthday and had a fantastic evening. Not only was the restaurant clean, tidy and welcoming, with a fantastic atmosphere and decor, but the menu was perfect, and the staff amazing. Clean toilets, tasty food and parking outside. A little expensive but worth it for a treat.

Could not of asked for more, Adam was friendly and helpful, all the staff were friendly and helpful. Food was excellent, kid's loved the movie theatre and popcorn. Cornbread was awesome.

Went tonight but unfortunately was disappointed ,we had to ask about our table 3 times as we had booked but it wasn't ready .we ordered and the food came in a good time but again unfortunately I wasn't impressed ,the coleslaw was actually awful and fries were cold ,sorry but over priced and over rated, it looks the part but wouldn't visit again

Came here as we recently tried the one in lincoln. We went for the share platter which as usual was fantastic. It was my 40th and my sons 18th and George and Jordan let my son make a milkshake behind the bar and gave us free desert. Many thanks for making my sons day

Wow,first time inthe place. Well impressed,really authentic,and the smell...out of this world! I had brisket,holy moly,it was sooo tender,with a lovely sauce,also a nice slaw,sadly the chips/ fries were a bit...just in a cup,prob just frozen like you get in all run of the mill resturantes. ...but none were left! Great place,deffo return!

Service is exceptional, food is great and the place looks good - couldn't recommend it more.

We find it a better place to eat later in evening due to unruly kids around teatime

Only disappointment was the menu change to more of a summer menu so less personal choice as I'm not a burger person but still options they've also stopped the deals at the minute which I love but understandable as it's peak season Everything was perfect and we'll be visiting again soon we've been multiple times

Awful ! Went in for the first time on Thurs 8th Thought we would order the Smokehouse platter for two £60 Everything was either burnt ( pulled pork ) or dry ( both sets of ribs ) the only meat worth tasting was the brisket . Otherwise pants ! Never again 😒

It used to be be lovely butnow it's food is mediocre and the cinema is dirty and stinks and full of misbehaving children throwing popcorn and jumping on seats. The service was slow. Very disappointing

we came here a couple days ago for our dinner, we've never been before. We were welcomed by some very polite members of staff who seated us with a bag of popcorn and took our drink orders. I can't remember the name of out waitress but she was only young but so polite professional and made us feel very welcome. The food was honestly so nice all meat was so tender and tasty and their milkshakes and sodas are so good🤌 10/10 would recommend this place to other holiday goers looking for somewhere to have dinner. The atmosphere was beautiful too. it reminded me of a saloon. Not to mention the female bathrooms has sanitary products to hand, aswell as hairspray, and they were very clean and well maintained.

We ate here as 5 people with 4 different choices of food. The USDA St Louis ribs were wonderful With a Bourbon glaze.The babyback were lovely as was the triple burger and the fajitas tasty.We shared sweets of frozen custard and chocolate fudge cake.The service was excellent and we all said the food good and the place for a Tuesday night busy.Reccomend this establishment but a booking usually necessary.

One of the best eateries around

Absolutely loved this place! Went with the wife for a date night, and wasn't disappointed. Our server was just after turning 18, and was knowledgeable, courteous and funny whilst serving us. It is definitely a meat lovers dream, we shared a bowl of Frickles to start and then the sharing meat platter for a main. Neither one of us left hungry! Cocktails and a few beers rounded it off into a very good night. Will definitely visit in the future

Currently still here full to the brim of wonderful food, cocktails and dessert. All staff were so kind and helpful. Special mention to Sophie our server was brill. Could not fault a single thing. We came here for our 11th anniversary meal (last year was Paris!) and they even brought us a special board and complementary cocktails! 10/10

Go here every month or so, always delicious food. Meat just falls off the bone , great atmosphere and service every time !

Enjoyed and spent over £200. So was a bit irked when my son was told that another tub of dipping sauce would be charged. When the bill arrived they had charged an extra £1. Now, am I being petty or were they being greedy. You decide.

If this sort of place is for you then you will probably love it. Food is average but below par for price and by no means a 'speciality' smoke house. Quite a lot of yee haaing which the children thought was fun.

I don’t always take the time to write reviews for restaurants but felt I had to for Hickory’s. This place was so lovely, great staff and amazing food. We visited the Blackpool area from the midlands for 5 days, and ate twice here during that time. Each time we were so impressed by the experience. Great choices of food and it tasted beautiful. Each time we visited it was very busy but service was quick and friendly. I have a food intolerance which I mentioned to my server. The manager then came over and went through my food choices, without making me feel awkward or anxious, which was lovely! It was my sons birthday on our first visit and he got a lovely free dessert with sparkler and everyone singing happy birthday! Top notch from start to finish - so much so we have located a more local branch to us and will be visiting, in hope it will be the same as this place! Thanks Hickory’s!!

Really good quality food here. Love the theme of the atmosphere and it was definitely interesting to see they had a little mini theatre for kids to watch movies while the parents eat. Food cooked to perfection. Probably one of the best brisket meals I've had in a while.

Waw waw waw amazing. Where to start. The staff were very friendly and approachable. The kids were given popcorn and had a cinema inside Dory and nemo playing. The kids loved this. And a great idea. I had the pulled pork brisket. It was amazing and the Sauce... Waw I can't describe it but barbeque style but so so tasty. Wife had the burgers chicken and hash brown. It was delicious. The kids had the a delicious chicken poppers. And a burger. The cost was £70 so well well worth it and can't believe we never tried it before our last night going back to Scotland. If we had this up in Scotland it would be a massive hit. The menus were so different like a newspaper which was a good different as it stayed a good memory. Toilets were clean and smelled good. Kind of weird to say that but Blackpool toilets were not all that good but these were clean tidy and comfortable. Lots of cosy memories now the place was decorated 5 star.

Food was just OK, service very poor, waited long time to take drinks order, missing cutlery, asked twice for more kitchen roll, gave up and took one from table behind, asked twice for bill. Loud music, children's running constantly through restaurant. Very disappointing, won't rush back.

We visited Hickory's for our anniversary.We were seated immediately, given water and pop corn straight away...a really nice touch.Our server was called Adam,nothing was too much trouble.He was fantastic.The food was absolutely delicious.We will definitely be returning.

The meat here was unbelievable, the platter for one had everything. Juicy meat didn't need a fork just pull it of the bone. The bourbon gravy is sticky and sweet, so moreish I had 3 helpings. The service was brilliant too, hannah sorted us out straight from the start friendly and funny. This is a must try establishment. If you like smoked meat, this is the place to go, little expensive but so worth it.

A well presented building with ample parking. Lady on the door was efficient but didn’t seem interested in anything other than getting us to seats quickly- it took me a while to realise the paper placemat in front of me was actually the menu - she could have introduced us to the restaurant a bit better IMHO. Server was James was ok, spoilt a bit by the young blonde lady who didn’t crack a smile once when delivering drinks didn’t seem interested in who’s drink was who’s just wanted to get them off her hands quickly (a theme is running here isn’t it!) Food was excellent- exactly what I was hoping for. The drinks were over priced unfortunately. They do add on an automatic tip which you can take off but as I was paying with a gift voucher I didn’t bother. I find this system of tipping makes staff less personable and interested in making your experience as a customer a happy one - they didn’t really earn it and I doubt most people will ask for it to be removed out of shame - I’ll say again if I’d been on my own or didn’t have a voucher I would have removed it. I’m glad I’ve been but I doubt I’ll go back 3/5

Chips r really salty 🧂 kids mac cheese was the right size

It was my birthday dinner and me and my best pals booked the night before for a feast, THE RIBS!!!! holy moly they are something else... drip of the bone, lathered in sauce which you can order more if you need..... one of my party had the sharer for one which is big enough for two and I had the USDA Ribs imported from St Louis. so the real American flavours!! - my other guests decided to order lots of sides and share like a US tapas and they loved trying all the different bites!! the atmosphere was great and the staff went head and shoulders above to make sure we were happy! including a welcome chat from the manager, which in the UK is very rare but more than lovely!! all the staff had a smile and were striving for us to have a good evening! which finished in a birthday donut with a candle and a birthday song ending with a YEEHAAA!! and the cherry on top was the free tray of assorted alcoholic shots.... which went down a treat! thank you HICKORYS! we will be back... and if you are looking for somewhere in the vicinity of BPL to celebrate this is a great shout!! - my only thing would be is that it would have been great to have heard a little bit of LIVE music - I know they have this at weekends but would have loved a guitarist in a cowboy hat singing us some Kenny Rog! otherwise it was PERFECT! P.s Try the Margheritas! they are mighty fine!

we LOVED our trip to Hickorys thornton. Was our friends birthday and staff went above and beyond. Shout out to our waitress Gemma! amazing food, amazing gluten free options and care with allergens taken. so sad they dont have down south. cant wait to return

Warm welcome, meat is stunning, a wee cinema for the kids is a brilliant touch. All round amazing place which can easily cater for any occasion. Just wish they had one in Scotland!

Ate alone at lunch today. I ordered off their Sani & Soda £11.99 deal. The Chicken Club Sandwich was huge. Grape Soda delish. Service from staff just fabulous, the young girl that served me was smiley, polite and attentive. I find Hickorys quite pricey for its normal meals sometimes but this lunch deal was well worth the money. 👍

The steak was just right,enjoyable. Place was clean but a bit noisy. Its a very good family place with things to give pleasure to children.

Very, very disappointing. Read most of the reviews which were mostly excellent, however we must have come on an off day. We had a platter for 2 and cornchips with pulled pork. First of all I questioned the beef rib which was black, not very dark brown but pure black, I was told that this was normal and that the meat inside would be moist and succulent - not true, it was tasty but very dry as were the rest of the meats, the pulled pork both on the platter and cornchips was far to salty and for me inedible, I mentioned this to the server and he just said that this was his favourite dish on the menu. All in all, I was very disappointed and will certainly not be revisiting. JohnB

Definitely not American size portions. Quite expensive, noisy. However; very friendly staff, and the quality of the food was commendable but nothing outstanding. The vibe of the place was akin to a top end sports bar. Over- rated.

Seem too wait a while for the staff member who was introduced to take care of us and found it quicker to flag any staff member over for extra drinks or items. Nice place & food good for a group social price £ average

This place was amazing went for my birthday they were so much choice and well worth them money we drove 1 hour to get here and was so worth it. We booked and it wasn’t over busy. The cocktails were very good and was only 2 for £12 . Would definitely be going back

Wouldn't recommend it to anyone going Absolutely rubbish food for the price kids food was hard and my son had an allergic reaction the the ketchup sauce as the vinegar in the sauce was too strong and burnt all his mouth asked them for the sauce they use and they brought out a total different sauce. Manager or floor manger that night came out and felt like she was trying to give us parent lesson woth my own children waiter all stood round talking and faces like slapped bottoms then had the audacity to laugh when we asked about my 9 month old reaction to the sauce Absolutely horrible. We was also allocated a waiter that night called Matt and said he would look after us that night and with in 3 minutes was allocated 2 different waiters the chocolate used for the marshmallows fire was cheap chocolate for price of it same with the marshmallows will be taking this to food standard as we are really upset with the lack of responsibility held here. Was booked for my friends 30th birthday

We went to Hickory's (Thornton) last night to celebrate our wedding anniversary and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We've been before so knew what to expect and we weren't disappointed. I may have mentioned on the booking form that we were celebrating our anniversary but never expected a congratulations pig sign on the table or a pre dessert sparkler with a donut and cream. 😁 The food as always was awesome the 'Return of the Hog Mac's was beautiful and I will be ordering it again next time. The attentive service and little touches were perfect and hats off to the team. I know some people complain about the 'cost' and poor 'value for money' but at the end of the day you pay for what you get and in my eyes our bill and value for money was spot on. 5⭐'s all day 👌👍

We have been to Hickerys Thornton 4 times now, and it's amazing. The food is fantastic, the ales are pretty good too, you're not getting pub grub but great cooked food. The staff are very pleasant and they make sure your ok through your stay. Yes, it might be a bit more expensive than pub grub, but the food is cooked to perfection, and there is plenty that you leave full. 100% give it ago you will pleasantly surprised.

First time eating here and the staff were fabulous. We were there for a kids party (there are a lot here it seems) and the staff were happily, helpful and knowledgeable. A real credit. The little cinema at the back you can just go in is a lovely touch and others could learn from it. The food is great but at the high end pricing wise. A rack of ribs with chips was £24 but everyone's food was lovely

Great food. Lovely staff, very pleasant even when busy. Nice atmosphere. Great outdoor play area for the kids. Fantastic cinema room. Popcorn given out on arrival ( when you are seated)and staff will bring more out at your request, its a lovely touch. Saves buying desserts for the kids too :)

Went for my 60th as a treat from my daughter. Whilst the service was good unfortunately, the brisket was not. At a cost of £26 for brisket and chips, I had to leave half the so called brisket because it was full of fat.

Hannah was fabulous. Lovely waitress, friendly, efficient, professional and helpful. Food amazing as usual. Still my fave restaurant locally.

Wow what an amazing place to eat. So glad we booked. Place was packed on a Thursday evening which is a testament to how good it is. We had the sharing platter, sub, burger with bacon bites onion rings and southern fried chicken. All delicious all hot and all filling. Service is fantastic and staff very very helpful. We shall return.

Amazing! Wonderful staff. We visited for my husband's birthday and they had a birthday sign on the table and came out with a dessert for him at the end and sang happy birthday. The meat dishes were all amazing and plentiful. We loved our starters of frickles and smoked bacon bites too. Not the cheapest place to eat but a real experience, I'm sure we will visit again soon.

We often go here but invited our parents and grandparents for a 30th birthday, the staff were very friendly and helpful with my grandparents who were struggling with the menu, and quick to check back if we needed anything more. The food was excellent as always, they have always been consistent we havent had a bad meal here and been several times, we almost always order the beef brisket.

Me and friend went on Saturday evening, it was very busy, we got seats at the bar, staff friendly, helpful and bent over backwards when my friend's meal didn't come even though I order two meals.. We got non alcoholic drinks and two very yummy milkshakes. Hopefully come again

Ordered slow cooked braised steak. It was awful just all fatty inedible..Complained they brought me a second one, this was worse, even waiter admitted it did not look good. Offered me another meal but by that time had enough!! To be fair they knocked it off the bill but spoilt the night. Husband had the same meal his was ok. I had this meal before it was delicious. Think the chef would have checked second time that it was ok.!! Staff were lovely and very apologetic

Great service and amazing food! The staff were attentive and friendly, ensuring we had everything we wanted, just how we wanted it. All of the meats we had were delicious (brisket, ribs, chicken, corn dogs) and the mac & cheese and tater tots were great too. I'll definitely be going back here! Or to one of the other Hickory's!

The food was amazing and staff were amazing on entry. Me,my partner and daughter just called in without booking on the off chance, we got a table and some very good food. My only issue was the level of service after being seated, we did not get the same level of service we have received at the Southport location. All being said I would definitely revisit the Thornton site. 🙂

Always busy, booking is recommended. Staff are really pleasant and happy to help with queries. The tater tots were delicious, not so keen on the chicken and waffle, but that's personal preference. Everyone in our group enjoyed their food.

Lovely place with the most mouthwatering food. We took our dog and they were so welcoming and accommodating. You can sit inside at the bar or outside in a heated booth. We sat outside on a nice day and the staff were always checking in with us to make sure we were okay and had everything we needed. Worth the money for the quality of food and service. Thanks guys!

Great place and fantastic food , especially the brisket beef, we have that every time we go and the staff are always friendly and helpful
