Always a fab experience at hickorys. Staff are always friendly and can never do enough for you. We visit atleast twice a year and have never had a bad experience We popped in this weekend for my step daughter’s birthday. Food was fab as always Special mention to Dan our server Super friendly and welcoming

Went for our 25th anniversary. They looked after us, put aside a fab table which they decorated, they made a lovely fuss of us, and gave us a beautifully decorated board with complimentary cake and drinks. Georgia was so awesome and made or meal so special. That's even before talking about the epic food, service, and ambience. 10/10

Visited yesterday lunchtime with friend. Warm welcome on entering, staff are always lovely here. Sat on decking outside as a glorious day. We both had wings as a main with potaine tots and they were amazing, first time trying them, omg I could have easily eaten a double portion. I had bbq wing my friend had the louisiana. Come covered in the sauce served with celery, very tasty. I had s'mores for after, very tasty, my only suggestion for this is the make the French toast sweeter and that would have been 100% perfect for my taste buds, friend had chocolate fudge cake, big portion and she loved it. Definately recommend this place for any type of visit, family, couples, friends, celebration and do recommend booking.

Food was great. Apart from the bacon appetizer being 2/3 fat. Service was nonchalant, even saying on exit 'thanks guys' without even looking up from the screen. Cost was good for what we got. HOWEVER, if i haven't asked what the £0.50p and £2 misc was on the bill it would have been more. They said it was possible due to something like an extra patty on the burger, they didn't know. We didn't order anything extra that wasn't on our food as standard from the menu. So in my opinion, they may do this on MANY meals and if people don't question it, they're making lots of extra money.

I took my partner to celebrate the recent publication of his palaeontology paper. When we got to the table we found the team at Hickory’s had decorated one of their signature wooden pigs with congratulatory messages. The service throughout was great and the food delicious (I am coeliac and had no problems finding gluten free). Special mention for Jessica who arranged everything over email and Eustace who went above and beyond in asking about my partner’s work and then went about creating a fossil-themed dessert board for us!

Booked today for a late father's day meal. It was so busy, and could see the staff were non stop. There was a delay on the food, but when it arrived it was outstanding. Heads up to the server Isaac. He put up with our fussy family requirements, and didn't bat an eyelid. Customer service on point, which in my opinion is the number 1 importance. Thanks guys we will be back

Love this place, if you like meat then you’re on to a good thing. Not really a good place if you’re a vegetarian or need halal and lacking in chicken options. However, if you’re like my husband and son and enjoy lots of meat then you’ll be happy. Do some nice mocktails too. Nice atmosphere whenever we have been.

So my first time at Hickory's, after spending 3/4 years in America working away I missed that BBQ food and opted and HOPED it would be similar. My god how wrong was I, this was a Terri me experience with food, NOTHING and I mean NOTHING was smoked, the brisket was dry, no meat on the ribs at all, mac n cheese was so watery. The staff were lovely and helpful and I really feel bad for them because the establishment is letting them down. This is NOT smokehouse, this is like going to McDonalds for a GENUINE beef burger, you get an idea of what a burger is but it's not wholesome. Please don't go here if you're looking for actual SMOKEHOUSE food. Normally you can smell the smokehouse from a while away but you can't even smell it inside. First and LAST time.... The bar is decent for a drink but that's the only thing I'll go for again.

The food was delicious and was better than Virgil’s BBQ restaurant in the US. We had the Barbecue Blowout which is available as a deal on Thursdays and it was so good! Everything tasted great and the portion size was brilliant. We really enjoyed it and the staff were so friendly. The free popcorn was also really nice. The only problem was all the children running around the restaurant, we felt like we were in the middle of a play area at one point! I know the restaurant can’t help it if parents are useless, but maybe they could be more strict and warn families that if children run around the restaurant they will have to leave as it is extremely unfair on other diners.

Had been looking forward to trying this American theme food restaurant. NOT for me ,was DISAPPOINTED .I was aware that we were allocated a hour and 15 minuets slot to eat and go which I was uncomfortable about, a short dinning time to have drinks starter mains and desert ,then having tried the Resturant that’s exactly what it is Eat and Go . The menu was a little limited for choice ,the food was expensive ,obviously pre prepared as the speed it was served , the whole experience was of disappointment and not value for money .This dinning experience wasn't a true representation of American style smoke house barbecue food the company claim and I don’t think the idea will be a success . We came here today for the first time to celebrate my husbands 60th. Absolutely spot on from start to finish. Really great service, attentive staff. Couldn’t do enough for you. Amy was lovely. This is a favourite place for the family and my kids love coming here for the food and cinema. Our past visits have been spot on but our latest one for my son’s birthday was a mixed bag, not all of the service or food was up to its usual high standards. My wife and kids food was ok but my cowboy steak was very tough also the chips were over salted. The first waitress we had didn’t seem interested but the waitress we had later ( I think her name is Poppy) made such a fuss of my son and daughter and definitely had the right attitude towards customers. I emailed Hickorys to give feedback and to give them their due they responded. These little things won’t put us off coming again and I’ll just put it down as a one off.

Great experience as always. I decided to leave a review as this place is a real pleasure to visit. Staff always friendly, welcoming and transmit happiness. The food is of good quality, the place is clean and overall absolutely worth the money.

We spent £97 on 1 starter (that we shared) and a shared platter. The ribs were burnt and dry, the brisket was dry, and the pulled pork was served in what I can only assume was a tin of baked beans? Genuinely awful food. We’d have spent less and got better at Miller and Carter. Servers had no idea what they were doing. Two people tried to take our order, we were brought a Diet Pepsi from a woman we hadn’t spoken to yet, and that we didn’t order, and nobody checked if the food was okay so we had to walk to the counter to complain about the dry food. We were offered a different dish (but we’d have to pay for it as we had ‘started eating’ the dish we didn’t like). Only saving grace was that we also ordered two milkshakes and they were very nice!

It was my sons birthday today and Amy our server was amazing throughout our whole lunch. She made it so special. Our sons only every wants to go here for his birthday as he always get spoilt. The gentleman behind the bar even came over to see him and wished him happy birthday. Food was amazing! I could not reccomend this place enough. By far the best hickorys. He even had a special birthday desert given to him. Thanks guys! You are legends . 💜

This place is an unknown gem! I found this place by accident and I am so glad I did. Me and my partner with our twins came here on Sunday 19th for brunch and we was blown away. Firstly we had such a lovely greeting at the door. They was able to accommodate us with our pushchair. We was served by a lovely young girl who I believe was named Bailey. I ordered the biscoff milkshake which was insanely good! Me and my partner both ordered the chicken and waffles which we was talking about the following day! Exceeded my expectations by a long way!

First time been and will return. Great menu,like the touch of popcorn and bottle of cold water when arrive. Warm welcome and friendly staff. Son very impressed with mac n cheese. Very good portions. My chicken was warm not hot but they quickly rectified with a full meal replacement and free drinks and all was delucious. Some great weekday offers available.

I would love to give the food 5 stars but this review is based on the lack of act-knowledge of management and team and value for money when service is below standard, Waiting for over 20 minutes to clear our plates, ( restaurant not busy, counter over 12 team members working) this never happened. Management and team was to busy having a full on conversation, yes have fun and talk at work but when it affects service and the fact they have now lost a customer, not just for this evening for buying a second drink and dessert but we will not be returning. When asked for the bill they stated these a tip jar.. I asked for this to be removed due to me having to ask for the bill and interrupting their conversation. No friendly Farewell after spending over £70 quid.

I wasn't expecting to have such an amazing experience. Everything was perfect. The staff were the right side of attentive. Very efficient. Leah... in particular is a credit to this establishment.
