Slowest initial service I’ve ever experienced, waited for around 15 minutes to order drinks, there were two other covers at the time, we occupied the third table. Waitress seems uninterested and indifferent and rather lazy. No sign of anyone else to take our orders. Two margaritas eventually turned up and did not resemble the description either in taste or look. Tasted horrid. All the food turned up at once rather than the starters first. Spring rolls were cold and bland (straight out of a bulk buy freezer bag?) - sent them back to re heat - no apology, more indifference, disrespectful. Food itself was not tasty and there was nothing whatsoever nice or special about it. Service was poor with no enthusiasm or respect for these customers. I refused to pay their service charge of course and it was still probably the worst £67 I’ve ever spent on food. I felt embarrassed to have booked a table in this place of eating with my daughter, really horrid experience. So many other better options within walking distance of this place which I wish I’d explored.

Hichki exceeded all my expectations! The food was a true representation of authentic Indian flavors, and the service was exceptional. A must-visit for anyone seeking a culinary adventure in London.

Comida muy rica, aunque algo picante para nuestro paladar mediterráneo: diferentes platos de pollo y cordero, arroz y samosas. El servicio fue fantástico.

Poor service, took ages to take order. Once ordered the main was out within 5 minutes so not freshly cooked. Drinks and cutlery hadnt made it to the table before the food. Staff were nowhere to be seen and were miserable throughout. Food was bland and cold. The tikla massala taste like tomato soup with chicken in. I ended up throwing up straight after the meal in the restaurant toilet.

This is one of the most authentic Indian food and snacks I’ve eaten. Forget the Bengali run brick lane, unless that’s what you like. The restaurant at the front is quite informal and modestly decorated. However, they have a 150 seater function room at the back fully equipped with a bar, disco lights and a dj. We celebrated a youthful 60th over here, which was a resounding success. Everyone enjoyed it thoroughly with not a negative word said. We had a cross section of friends and family. Infact, they still talk about it. The proprietor went out of his way to make this night amazing. He had ordered a SURPRISE bangra dholak drummer to bring in the cake- wow! The three course dinner was brilliant and appreciated by all, children were served stir fry and chips. The staff were just brilliant and a renowned dj from radio got everyone on their feet. I recommend this place highly.

Was so angry for coming here. Everything here was bad. Very overpriced food for tiny portions. Food tastes okay…if you were getting it from your local takeaway. Took about 20 minutes to take our order. The service was abysmal; had to ask multiple times to actually get napkins, or chilli sauce or extra Nan. By the time they bought the nan I sent it back as the rest of our food has gone cold.

This place doesn't get enough good reviews! People should really try it out. I don't normally like 'fusion' menus and, to be honest, I just went for the Indian stuff on the menu but the food I had was brilliant. We loved it all. There's a lot of compeition in this part of London, and this is the best I've eaten at which are in the mid-price range of food. It's not an extensive menu, but the food is really tasty! I'm leaving the East End soon, and I will miss this place.

Service was rubbish and they had rats running around which was so disturbing. Lady had long nails which was touching the food and put me of eating. They noticed that we had seen the rats and didn’t mention anything. Overall bad experience.

We were seated by a very grumpy waitress and waited about 25 minutes for someone to come to take our order. Food took very long time to come, all the food were cold when it arrived. We ordered lamb biryani which was really horrible, meat was dry and burnt, there's more clove and black pepper then rice. Chicken Jalfrezi was taste less, all I could taste is tomato. The severs were all moody/grumpy. Nice restaurant, average food and over priced. They have put the price up for Ramadan. Prices a very much different then what they advertise online i.e Chicken Lollipop online it says £7.50 but on the Ramadan menu it's £ll. Table next to us were complaining about the price to the waitress. I won't be visiting these place again.

Very pretty restaurant with lots of potential but extremely poor customer service. We ordered our starter and drinks and mains to come later. All the food arrived at the same time so by the time we finished the started, our mains got cold!!! Once we finished, they didn’t bother to take the dirty plates. We wanted to relax after dinner. It was really hard trying to get the attention of the waiters even though the restaurant was not busy! There was only 3 tables of people.

I am a person who does not go and start posting reviews after a meal but this one I had to... Apart from the fact that it is terribly overpriced for such small portions. I spent nearly £60 but didn't even feel filled up and no I am not massive. But I don't mind that too much but for me, decent service is what I pay for! It was a decent start, we entered about 1.5h (9:30pm) before closing. We ordered food and drinks and waited about 45-50 minutes while other tables came after were being served. The restaurant was hardly busy. Food finally came but I can already see the waiters are rushing to close for the day. We asked for our drinks twice, the first time completely ignored, and then a second time, we were already halfway through the food. But this is nothing, wait to hear this! While we were still eating, a waiter came and asked if we wanted our bill, then started to take empty dishes and asked for the dish that was fully, if I wanted it packed for takeaway, we were still eating!!! It was 10:45 at that time and they say they close at 11. But we waited and waited to be served! I have never had a service this bad and rude ever and I feel angry, as a local will make sure no one I know thinks about wasting their money. If only the service was as beautiful as the restaurant decor. Looks can be good for a new starter but service and quality is key, look at Lahore on Commercial road for example!

Good food and nice location and place. We also use to regularly order the Chicken Biryanis on ubereats that were £13.95 buy one get one free.. but now its gone up to £17.95.. which makes it expensive now when you add on delivery and service charges. Such a shame as we use to like the odd biryani takeaway.

I had the boneless chicken jalfrezi, aubergine, and daal with plain rice and it was probably one of the best Indian restaurant dine in meal I've had in a very long time - very tasty, authentic, and quality ingredients used.
