Hey Sushi in Gloucester

Ordered take away from here and it was great 😊 Salmon box was fresh and great portion size, yum! Takoyaki, tabiko gunkan and chicken kara-age with rice was great too. Will definitely order again and order was delivered by restaurant in great time. Thanks for a great meal!

Ordered via website and waited for 1hr45min. Called the restaurant to query the whereabouts of the driver, they couldn't locate the driver and saying 5 min each time we asked. We had to cancel. It happened twice. Not going to order from Hey Sushi.

We have ordered takeaway from HS on the last 3 occasions as new to the area. The food is hot and tasty and the sushi is very fresh. We are so happy to have found such a little gem! Very happy!

I’d really love to say my experience was great this time around as I frequently order from here with my partner but my chicken was absolutely inedible was like eating cold flavourless chalk, I called the store and to be fair to them they said they’ll remake it and get it sent over, but unfortunately the only difference was that this time it was warm. No flavour, no heat and like chewing on stones. Seems absolutely out of character for them as the salt and chilli chicken is usually succulent and full of flavour but it was nothing of the sorts this time and really put me off

Delivery arrived quickly but that's probably because nothing was fresh/left out for a long time. The edamame was over-boiled and falling apart, the duck and rice with mixed veg was just with Pak choi with barely any sauce and the sushi was vile. The maki was bland and the sashimi tasted gone off. Never ordering from here again. Also their free gift is a tiny bottle of aloe Vera water, jeez thanks!

Delivery driver was polite and on time. Food was great, they included the ginger and wasabi and chopsticks (some places charge you extra). Ribs were a touch too dry for my liking. Hence 4 stars for food Misi soup was very good Sushi and sashimi box was so freaking good!! Really impressed with it. Will definitely be back again

Omg how have i not tried this place before? We ordered from Just Eat and thr food came so fast , hot and fresh! I didn't think i had ordered enough, but it was so tasty and filling! The tempura was beautiful. The miso soup was the best ! It was all beautiful and lovely. Will definitely order again! Very soon!

Delicious, super friendly, great value. The salmon donburi was delicious, had a HUGE amount of salmon in there (great value for money), fresh and plenty of soy sachets. Staff were friendly and food was ready quickly. Highly recommend.

It was an amazing experience with the takeaway choice. First of all, the food was so fresh and really good. Also, it has been served in nice packaging with many sides like ginger, mustard, and soy sauce Although they are a takeaway place, they have good quality as a big restaurant. Best Sushi i've had in the UK hands down, it was Fresh, delicious and the rice was perfect. The seafood ramen was really tasty and a decent portion and the service was good. Will definitely be back :)

Blown away we've been looking for a great sushi place local and reasonably priced and we found it, we wasn't expecting the food to be this good had great sushi, gyozas and salt chilli squid and could not fault a thing all fresh and tastes amazing will definitely be ordering again

I don’t usually write reviews but I felt compelled to write one this time. Firstly, the food containers themselves were great quality, kept the food really nice and warm even after being left sitting for about 15 mins (as I had to take a call). The laksa bowl was yummy with plentiful ingredients, very authentic tasting. The dragon roll sushis tasted very fresh. The tori gyozas had a nice flavour and texture; I dunked them in my laksa soup and oh they were perfect! Bonus points for punctual delivery by a very pleasant young man. This is easily the best takeaway I’ve had in a very long time. Will definitely be returning :)

First time trying the menu. Had the vegan ramen, not bad. I like with lots of flavour, but this one was simple, authentic Japanese I assume. Not been to Japan so can't comment.

Food was yummy scrummy, speedy delivery. Also rang about allergens and the lady who responded was super helpful. And even when I was silly and accidentally ordered the dish containing fish (I just didn’t read, probably the heat getting to my head) she rang me back offering to switch it to match my dietary requirements instead of just leaving it. Very thoughtful and saved the disappointment of food I could not eat. Very happy with this experience.

I have always enjoyed excellent food from Hey Sushi. Google shows reviews for an address not a business. Please be aware that Hey Sushi has only been trading here since April 2022 so reviews from 5 years ago are a few businesses out of date.

Amazing food and lovely staff. We had a slight problem with our neighbour stealing our food and this brilliant place made us a replacement order free of charge. Will definitely be ordering again!

Never having been here before I did not know what to expect. After many disappointments in Chinese meals recently I was pleasantly surprised over the quality and quantity of the food. But it is true you get what you pay for, slightly pricier then local competition by I would say definitely worth it.

Having eaten a lot of Chinese food from a lot of different restaurants in Gloucester, I can honestly say this is the best. I've never once had a bad meal from them. The general tso's chicken is fantastic! I've never seen another restaurant sell that here and they nailed it.

Delicious, simply delicious. Everything was fresh, hot and tasty. The driver that delivered was super helpful, we have moved to a new build that’s not mapped yet and he made sure he found us.We will be ordering again that’s for sure. Have tried several and this one is the best by far.

Taste of China is absolutely delicious. The sharing box is so yummy. The chicken in black bean tastes so fresh and has loads of chilli which I love. The man who delivers is super friendly too. Also find the food doesn't give that racing heart feeling that so many Chinese restaurants do.

The owner of this business & owner of alleatapp are paying for fake reviews, read the reviews - a 2 year old can see they are fake reviews, is it because they are afraid their customers will get food poisoning ? because genuine businesses dont have to pay for fake reviews., & the people who have actually bought from them have left terrible reviews. in response to the owners response, no, the bad reviews are for the new "taste of china" , as well as the "golden bowls" you then deciced to add a load of obviously fake reviews, which are so obviously fake reviews, not only you but also the "alleatapp" both have loads of fake reviews. the reviews that are not fake are bad reviews for taste of china, not just golden bowls. (as well as golden bowls)

Probably shouldn't admit this but I have tried MANY Chinese restaurants in Gloucester. So far this is the best one. Their General Tso's chicken is PERFECT! This with the Singaporean chicken fried rice, it's absolutely delicious. I like that I can taste the ginger in the spring roles. You never get any actual flavour with spring roles, these on the other hand are very flavorful. 10/10 would recommend.

Order was wrong so called and was argued with, 50 min later as no replacement received called again and was argued with again. Finally got the delivery of the correct dish (had to give the wrong dish back so you could receiving that next!) but now the rest of the order is cold! Over 2 hours later! £42.30 worth of food and was treated like a liar!

Couldn’t praise the food enough!! Really difficult to find vegan chow mien (egg noodles are the norm), but they had no problem using different noodles for me. Delivery was super quick and everything arrived piping hot.

Ordered delicious food from here. Order extra of everything otherwise you'll end up fighting over it. They said they're halal but I haven't seen any certificate. EDIT: I went in to check the certificate, and their only proof was some Arabic writing on a box of food.

By far the best Chinese food in Gloucester.

Good Chinese. Delivery was fast and food was good. One star down as I was disappointed that the plain chow mein was just noodles (used to it coming with beansprouts and onion)

Ordered food in the shop tonight got home wrong main dish and food not upto usual standard prawn toast was unediable not worth the 20.00 i paid

Ordered salt and pepper chips, chicken chow mein, chicken with garlic and chilli sauce and a curry sauce. It also come with free prawn crackers. The chow mein and the salt and pepper chips were just "ok" but the curry sauce was too thick to pour out of the tub so I had to put a little boiling water into it to make it pour. The chicken in garlic and chilli sauce was not very good, the sauce was hot and tasted good but the chicken was cold in the middle, it was cooked but obviously reheated and not done properly. I won't order again, simple changes could make this place alot better, I mean they can't make a curry sauce correctly

Awful food burnt tastes burnt freezing cold. Phone and mention to them and he's very rude and uses excuse you've complained before. Never ever have. Rude. Don't go there. Use any other. Honestly. So many people have complained and they don't care

Very dissapointed. My other half curry was still cold as if its come out of a fridge or freezer. Shall not be using this place again as incorrectlt cooked chicken is dangerous to say the least.

I used to love their food, however today it was horrible, noodles were the wrong ones and were burnt, meat was very dry king prawn balls once you opened one the batter was all uncooked, deeply disappointed

Never again! Rice meals are ready made and just putting them to microwave to heat up! BBQ sauce taste like the poundland BBQ marinades! Spare ribs are so hard you can even crack your teeth just for bitting!

Hi pevious meals have been very good.This set meal for two was cold the duck was hiding and the egg fried rice was missing the egg {hiding with the duck} It cost just under 19 pounds my may complaint was we had a meal that was sub standard mainly onion lacking meat, cold and tough.The lady who took my complaint said she would take note. Not sorry that you did not enjoy the food, went on about past good comments. with but a meal if not up to standard should be compensated even with a sorry,You would not expect to pay in a sit down restaurant for cold and inferior food.When I said is that all you have to say she said yes you wont get anything else. even a discount off the next meal will have sweetened the spoilt evening.A poor meal does put dampners on a good night. As stated have enjoyed good meals in the past would I use them again not unless they adopt different complaints policy.She stated that the special has less meat and smaller portions than the regular meals no mention of this in the menu.

Great quality food, lots of meat, tastes very nice, and quite reasonably priced. Will definitely get food there again if in Gloucester hospital
