Great drinks, bartenders & atmosphere. Ordered a cosmopolitan - it was perfectly sweet & strong. Extra acknowledgements to Don & Joao who served us, they were wonderful. Will definitely be coming back, thank you for such great hospitality.

Dom and Ethan ur killing it boys. Best service I’ve ever had, my mom was upset cuz we forgot her birthday cake but the boys made her feel so happy again!

Amazing experience on the rooftop. Beautiful aesthetic as well as amazing service and drinks made by Jaoa and Don. Would definitely recommend the Pornstar Martini and Cosmopolitan Martini!

Don and Ethan are legends. Incredible service and made us feel so welcome. Love this bar usually but they just bring that extra level of customer service. We will be returning regularly because of this !

Cool Bar, smart casual dress code

Fui a tomar algo, llegué tarde en comparación con mis amigos que ya estaban allí. Mi señora que no estaba en un buen estado necesitaba ir a casa, así que estábamos esperando en el vestíbulo para que ella pudiera reunir su orientación antes de irse y lo que parecía un gerente vino y nos dijo que ‘f*ck off and get out’ que era repugnante la forma en que nos habló y como estábamos dejando a otra persona que trabajaba allí también nos estaba diciendo que ‘f*ck off and we were all the same’ y cuando lo confronté sobre hablar con nosotros en que luego procedió a llamarme un ‘droga pequeña c*nt’ que era repugnante, ni siquiera lo hice a través de una pinta y mucho menos tomar cualquier droga! Lo único positivo que tengo que decir es que el portero de afuera era muy agradable y comprensible, nos sentó en la parte delantera y le consiguió agua a mi señora, también estuvo de acuerdo diciendo que no deberían habernos hablado así. Estas personas trabajan en un club nocturno/bar y no esperan que la gente esté borracha. Es como trabajar en un parque acuático y esperar no mojarse.

All the staff are very friendly and bubbly towards the customers they offer a wide range of cocktails and spirits too the music is great and atmosphere is energetic

AVOID IF YOU'RE IN A GROUP OF LADS. Me and my 3 freinds bought tickets for their event only to be denied entry by the door staff due to not being with any girls. We were told that there was to many lads inside so if we get one girl each we can come in. EVEN WITH PRE BOUGHT TICKETS. The manager was rude and backed his door staff when we challenged him about this. I'd strongly advise if you're planning a upcoming night out go somwhere else before you regret it!!!

Popped in to have a look at this place I was told about, happy hour was good and decorated to a high standard, went upstairs to roof terrace, nice and cosy with blanket, will definitely go back again.

Wouldn’t recommend to anyone! They don’t even let you in, got there and they said no more lads in the venue & told us all to leave the que. They let all the girls in tho. Shocking really! Seriously expensive in there too and they change the price of drinks in there to suit how pissed you are when you buy one

Este lugar se ve muy bien, sin embargo, ahí es donde termina! Personal de bar despistado y solo dos botellas de vino tinto para elegir, una por la botella solo y la otra no vale la pena el precio del corcho, (Ejem tapa de rosca) que se sirvió en una copa Aperol Spritz. Desafortunadamente, a pesar de pasar por alto la presentación, los contenidos tampoco eran buenos - demasiado tarta y barato. Este lugar es como un vestido Wetherspoons! ¿Henman y Cooper? Debería ser Henparty y Pooper

La música era genial y adecuada para todas las edades, estamos en nuestros 50, sin embargo, había gente más joven y mayor allí. Hay un cargo de £ 5 si usted entra después de las 5 pm, así que llegar antes si no quieres pagar esto.

Just nipped in for a beer and a couple cocktails.. but went to use toilet. Came back found my beer had been taken away. So I walked out. Was waiting on a couple mates. We're going somewhere else now.

Great roof top bar just off Colmore row. 2-4-1 cocktails if you go early doors. Really friendly staff and good vibe. It’s only a small space but they’ve made the most of it.

Hasta ahora ha sido una buena víspera... hemos tomado un par de cervezas sociales en un par de bares (Centro de Birmingham). Llegamos al tercer bar - solo somos 2 en esta etapa - al acercarnos a la entrada, el portero me dice amablemente que no se permiten bolsas de hombre aquí. Ahora... está claro que puede ver una sutil cruz sobre la correa en mí, ya que no la estoy ocultando, pero el bolso es tan pequeño, que está en mi espalda y no puede verlo de frente. Estoy sorprendido en esta etapa, ¿cómo puedes rechazar un bolso que es tan pequeño, que puedes casi verlo? Llevo un top negro y el lil’ bag también es negro. Créeme que no sabrías que estaba ahí. Le digo que es la bolsa solo tiene mi teléfono, gafas y llaves. es tan pequeña que nada más cabe dentro. Incluso vacío la bolsa delante de él y otros invitados - ¡no hay nada más ahí! Luego señala un letrero que dice que no se permiten bolsas. Me refiero a la tarifa suficiente, las reglas las pone el bar no el portero así que no tengo ningún problema con él directamente pero solo intento ilustrar que la pequeña bolsa que llevo es inofensiva. Sigue negándose a entrar así que vuelve a empacar la maleta. También veo a 3 o 4 invitados detrás de mí, así que, por cortesía, me hago a un lado y les digo que por favor me rodeen para no retrasar su entrada al bar. El portero los deja entrar. Mientras pasan a mi lado mi amigo le dice al portero, esas dos señoras tienen bolsas 2 veces más grandes que esta! y no les has impedido entrar, ni has mirado dentro de sus bolsas!! ¿De qué se trata todo eso? Estos bares necesitan darse cuenta de que sus clientes son las personas que los mantienen en un trabajo. No hay clientes, no hay dinero, no hay forma de pagar facturas, salarios y gastos generales. Eventualmente estos establecimientos terminan cerrando, pueden volver a abrir unos meses o años después y comenzar de nuevo. He sido cliente en este establecimiento en particular durante años. Lo he visto cambiar de manos de gestión al menos 4 o 5 veces y todavía apoyo comprando comida y bebida a lo largo de los años. Sin un cliente como yo, que trabaja y socializa en el centro de la ciudad, su bar estaría cerrado. Después de la pandemia, los bares literalmente suplicaban por los clientes y yo y mi grupo social y otros por igual, aún apoyamos y defendimos estos establecimientos. ¡Oh y corrígeme si me equivoco, pero estoy seguro de que este bar se cerró por completo! ¡No más! He terminado de gastar en su dirección y tristemente cuando cierre como sus predecesores, no levantaremos la ceja. Esperemos que aprenda a tratar al cliente decente adecuadamente.

Busy on the roof other than that empty

Didn't go in as I'm not paying £5 each to sit in a roof top garden which I suspect doesn't have the greatest of views!

Was having such a good night, then the girl at the bar started accusing me and my friend of pushing in. Then she told the security i called her racist and got me and my friends kicked out. Did nothing wrong, but still to blame!

£5 per person to go to the roof which doesn't have any great views in all honesty. Seriously save your money and enjoy the sunshine at one of the bars round the corner which have many tables available outside and you don't have to pay for them! Sadly won't be going here again.

Tidy rooftop bar. Quite busy though almost as if too many people are catered for.

Been there a few times and this time I was turned away for looking too casual!! They said my wife and her friend could go in. My friends were already on the rooftop terrace and when I met up with them later they said I looked a lot smarter than most that were inside. Least to say they will not be getting my (or my friends) business again.

Awful policies. Women with a bag are fine to enter but men with a bag are not allowed full stop, even if a search is carried out! Since when was discrimination against a gender allowed? If there is a no bag policy that is fine, but to only direct it at males is absurd.

Went on a Sunday bank holiday evening was very busy nice atmosphere and music was good, I have no idea about the food as didn’t eat their, the drinks are pricey though so be prepared

Group of 10 of us turned up for a night out and were turned away because one of us was wearing a cap. Despite us offering to remove the cap so to come in we were still denied. Very disappointed that such an establishment would allow such thugs as security

Really cool bar with good music and nice cocktails. It also has a secret rooftop which we discovered! It was a bit of a rainy day though so we didn’t stay up there for long.

I was passing this bar earlier today at approximately 11:30am, I made the mistake of wearing my county's GAA shirt and was called a fenian B***** by a couple of Rangers fans entering said pub. I certainly won't ever be entering a pub again that accepts anti catholic bigotry and racism from their patrons.

Popped in for a leaving drinks and really enjoyed the atmosphere and the hospitality.

We had a drink here on a Saturday. The rooftop terrace was open but there was no one up there. We did ask the rugby to come on but they said they didn’t want it to be a sports bar. The toilets definitely need to be refurbished

Embarrassing place - Asked for a Guinness, they poured me a Guinness off “tap”, sat down and realised straight away that it tasted horrible. Went back and asked how many pints had been pulled off to be told it’s not draught and that it’s from a can!!! Said to them “ok no worries I’ll drink it and order something else next time”. Note: Bar staff didn’t offer to change it or even give me something else. Sat down again, had a few more sips and genuinely couldn’t drink it so went back and told them I can’t drink it and could they pull me a Forged Irish Stout instead. After lots of huffs and puffs and some jumped in wannabe manager wobbling his head, I asked for the manager who couldn’t have given any less of a damn that all I wanted was to change my drink… It’s NYE…I came in before 9pm with an open wallet to have a good time… This incompetent manager has cost them easily £500 tonight. Happy New Year!

Just had cocktails 2 for 1 which were lovely.

We arrived at 7.30pm on a Saturday evening to celebrate my friends 30th birthday. We were a group of 9 male friends and told that we couldn't enter because there were already too many men inside. I could understand them using this as an excuse if we were all drunk or appeared to be rowdy but we were sober and respectful. Terrible customer service and will never return

I've been here a couple of times once for cocktails and the second for a night out. Both times were lovely, they have a good choice of cocktails during the day which you can take up to the roof top and sip on. I'd also like to add that the architecture within the building is breathtaking and unexpected with loads of detail on the walls if you opt to climbs the stairs as opposed to taking the lift. If your looking for a decent night out I'd recommend visiting. It is a fiver for entry and there a three floors (including the roof top) which play a mix of different genres ranging from garage, rnb etc. There a decent selection of drinks which are reasonably priced and the vibes were nice.

Security has a very strange understanding of fashion. They did not let me in claiming that I was “way too casual” as some other guys leaving the place wearing “shorts”! So my friends who were waiting for me left the place and we continued our night elsewhere.

All year round, the rooftop here is hands down my favourite place to drink in the city. We have attended in all seasons and, even when the weather is cold, the heated and covered rooftop area is really comfortable and holds a great vibe from early afternoon to early hours with DJs playing all sorts of old skool classics through to the night. All of the staff are friendly and we've never had any problems on the door. The venue is stunning and is in the perfect location for a smarter drink. The last few times we've came, we aimed to go somewhere else afterwards but ended up staying for the rest of the night. Highly recommend if you're after somewhere a little bit smarter with a more upmarket feel.

Absolutely love coming here the vibes are amazing the staff are amazing apart from one, the door lady who stamps your hands and you pay entry too is one off the rudest people I have ever met in my life. She’s had such a bad vibes about her doesn’t smile she’s not welcoming at all she’s actually really intimidating and she really brings down the services rating and puts a bad name on the this place because she’s the first person you see.

This is a slightly belated review but I just wanted to make an acknowledgement of bar managers Kieran and Josh. I visit Henman and Cooper regularly but there was one occasion earlier in the year where my friend (who has epilepsy) had quite a dramatic epileptic episode leaving her unconscious in the smoking area on the third floor. I can’t express how amazing the staff were at getting her to a safe part of the venue, as well as waiting for hours on end for an ambulance to arrive. Josh and Kieran (as well as other staff) were amazing at how well they looked after my friend, checked on her regularly and made me feel at ease at what was quite a stressful and worrying situation. Thank you to all the staff that assisted that night, and thank you to Henman and Cooper for your ability to handle such a situation.

Door man to my partner, can you turn your very small nike shoulder bag around so no one can see the logo as sports wear is not allowed. Oh OK, enter bar to see most people wearing trainers? So nike trainers or any trainers do not constitute sports wear? Funny that. How pathetic

Well what can I say ! Henman and Cooper has been my go to place for a few years now and to say I am disappointed with the experience I have had this evening doesn’t quite cut it. I have recommend this venue to many friends and tonight we were a group of 12 girlfriends that initially had no issues until one of our party wanted to go home and calling a local and trusted taxi she need cash to pay and I wanted to go to the cash point but upon telling the door staff I was just nipping to get some cash they said I would not be able to return because “why was I going to get cash” ? And told to get an Uber … we wanted to make sure our friend was in a cab with a firm we trusted ! After putting our friend in the cab we went back to the venue to be told we had been gone too long and couldn’t re enter …. I was frankly quite shocked to be turned away for such a ridiculous reason when I had already less than 20 minutes before to enter ! At 48 years of age I am not someone that would cause an issue or ever have in all the years of coming here. I feel there was no valid reason for me not to re enter the venue other than someone’s bad attitude. Not wanting to engage in any conflict about how I felt to the member of the door team we went on to the next venue where we gladly welcomed.

The whole place is a joke. They won't let you back in to look for lost items because of their 'drug policy' but don't check your stuff in the first place.

Female bartender recommended a drink (£9 cocktail drink) which was way off and tasted horrible, asked if she could change it to something else but she refused and said if I needed another then I will have to pay for it again. I ask if I could speak to a manager, at that point she said she was the manager. She was rude and abrupt as well as another bartender staff standing alongside her that looked down at me. She certainly doesn't know how to make cocktail drinks. Recommend more training on customer service and cocktails.

Female bartender which says she was also the manager recommended a drink and when I got the drink the taste was way off! I ask if she could change the drink to something else I was used to but she refused! I asked if I could speak to a manager to sort this out, at that point she said she was the manager and if I needed another drink I would need to pay for it. She was rude as well as the other staff workers giving unpleasant looks towards me. Be mindful of who you let make your drinks as not everyone can make a cocktail drink.

Decent roof top bar decent selection of drinks and good atmosphere. Slightly small so can be crowded and long wait for drinks but on a hot day its what you would expect.

Arbitrary reason for not letting people in. Waiting for friends and wouldn't let in one of my friends as he was wearing trainers. Then let in a pair with trainers after. Apparently it was because my friend had bubbles in his??? What if he'd had foot issues that meant only certain footwear was comfortable? Dress code says smart casual. Absolutely ridiculous, it's a surprise they even have customers. Won't be back.

It is a very nice bar with good music. The rooftop is beautiful. It is usually overcrowded, and the bar area is very busy with a long queue.

A racist venue the doorman said "Sorry mate not tonight" I asked why not he said "Managers instructions" they let other white people in after me Very disappointed and definitely won't be going again Update Saturday 3rd June 9PM I tried again yesterday, It was 9pm i was dressed in smart Grey Zara shorts with matching grey top and jacket it was still daylight and was again refused entry to get into your club, this time your doorman on the right who refused me last time said to the other doorman "Are we letting in shorts" he was looking for an excuse, the other doorman said "sorry your dressed to casual", I noticed other people with shorts on in the club, I raised this and he replied they have been here since the afternoon. Discrimination in the first degree and very unsettling to know other people in shorts were inside. Please notice from the attached picture the guy inside the club dressed in white is wearing shorts. 100% proof I subsequently went to 3 other bars nearby and their were many people wearing shorts. It is Sumner you can't wear trousers on such a hot day. I would like a the name of the General Manager as I haven't had a satisfactory and timely response from yourself.  Find attached a picture of the doorman the one on the right appears to have a personal grudge and totally exhibited a totally unprofessional and unacceptable attitude driven by his ego. I mentioned I had written to you and will be following it up. He replied "that's fine do what you want" then asked me to move off the steps. At all times I was remained calm and respectful. I will seek legal advice (if necessary): I believe my rights have been violated as the refusal was discriminatory. I also haven't had a response from the Henman and Cooper management. Update 6th June 2023 I will be speaking to the operations manager today.

Great roof bar middle of Birmingham

Ordered 2 drinks which had a really weird after taste ( Metalic / Iron) , went to the Bar to advise of this as it needed checking before they were to serve another pint. I then asked to order 2 different drinks from another pump, when I was told I need to speak to the bar manager. I had no issue at the time and just wanted to make them aware. The Bar manager took 15 minutes to arrive. He grabbed a straw and then advised that the drinks were F***ing fine and that I wouldn't be getting a free drink, this isn't what I had requested, I had requested to purchase 2 more drinks. The tone and manner of the Bar manager was appalling. I then asked if i could have my receipt off the till as i wasn't happy with how he had reacted and would look to write an email for the poor customer experience we had received, he then left the bar area and advised he would return with my receipt, 35 minutes after speaking to him he hadn't returned with the receipt , I asked the Bar staff to make contact with him to see where he was, the Bar staff refused this request? Why? is this not a basic request? Another 10 minutes passed before the clubs general manager come up to me and advised he would be able to sort my request for receipt, He returned 2/3 minutes later walking around the venue, he didn't re approach me with any receipts? A further 20 minutes had passed before Assistant General manager Josh was called by Radio, Josh took the time to listen to what had happened and was also quite confused as to why this issue has been left to escalate. Josh apologized for the issues we had and how we were spoken to, He advised of the email address where I will be able to voice my concerns Josh advised that he could print my receipts for both drinks purchased in there ( 2 x Old Mout Berries & Cherries & 2 x Stella Unfiltered), this took him less that a minute to complete can anyone explain why I was left for so long when Josh completed it so quickly? Josh then offered us some drinks free of charge as a way of apology, I politely declined as my friends had moved on to another bar at this point. If only Josh would of been available the 1 hour and 20 minutes before hand. Josh should be heavily praised for his customer service skills and should be an example for your business to follow in regards to Customer Experience. Josh if you are looking at a new career path like I advised Saturday please let me know as you will be a valuable asset to any business.

So so, thought this place was going to wow me, it did not. Food bland. Atmosphere tired.

I’ve had a great experience here many times, but I went on a bank holiday with pre paid tickets. We got there for 4pm (as the ticket stated) and there was no one on the door, so everyone in the venue hadn’t paid, we even asked around and that was confirmed by many guests. When the ticket lady finally arrived at gone 6pm we went to the downstairs bar and found out it was cheaper to just pay at the door - seems a little strange. We also wanted to pop out to meet some friends and come back, the ticket lady refused saying that ‘once your ticket has been scanned you can’t leave because we will be at full capacity and you will have to pay again’ I’m sure if we’ve prepaid, our tickets should be part of that capacity and nevertheless the capacity can be reassessed at reentry without having to pay twice? We asked to speak to the manager and the ticket lady claimed that was her so there was no one to escalate to. The next day I messaged the venue on instagram asking for a complaints email but I had no response. This experience has completely put me off the venue because of the aggressive, totally rude staff and completely unfair door policy.

Great atmosphere on Saturday night on rooftop bar. House music from the 80's to present day stuff enjoyed by crowd of all ages.

We sat at the bar as all the tables were fully booked. The decor is nice, a little on the dark side. The bar staff were friendly. We were greeted at the door by 2 lovely members of staff.

Love this roof top bar. In fact a rooftop bar is always good. Great music and they serve Grey Goose as standard. But why serve a great vodka with the worst tasting tonic. It was undrinkable. Its a great rooftop bar and even when its cold and the heaters are on it still good to up top and outside

Lovely night....until the drinks mixup. I ordered a mai tai, a dark and stormy, a beer and a prosecco. Drinks put in front of me all looking like my order apart from the mai tai which I'm waiting on. No problem to this point. All of a sudden the bell of a bar manager approaches asking if I'd taken a long island iced tea. I said no I'd taken a dark and stormy. I'm accused of taking the wrong drink rudely. In accused of taking a drink that wasn't put in front of me which very much was. Bar manager giving me sass and rolling his eyes. What an absolute tool. Zero customer service, zero politeness. I would have been very pleasant and apologetic but approached immediately with arrogance. He takes the drink off our table and then gives it to another person. Very unhygienic. Won't return. Bar tender however poured a great drink and the other staff very pleasant. Owner wants to have a word. He also spoke to his bar staff appalling to.

Went to this cocktail bar it was amazing all flores had a great night big up to henman and Cooper five stars 😃👍
