Hello Kitchen Chinese Takeaway in Eastleigh

First time I have used this take away and it will be the last. Decided to give them ago I drove down to the take away to order my meal. up on viewing the menu I chose 3 dishes Spare ribs capital sauce Chicken Chow mein Sweet and sour chicken balls total cost just over £21.00 Rib's were fatty Sauce was nice Chow Mein had no flavour was very bland not appealing to the eye Chicken balls well the pieces of chicken inside them so small they were all batter total waste of money Not recommended at all.

We moved from the area 4 years ago and now live in Chandler’s Ford, but we still come here because they are the best!

Used for many years. Always amazing food at a good price. Never disappointed with thier food. Would especially recommend the crispy chilly beef.

Awful service, incredibly late delivery time and cold food. We ordered a delivery order and was advised it would take 90 minutes to get here. Way longer than the other Chinese takeaways usually take in the area but I think ‘it’s fine, I’ll wait’… that was a mistake. After the 90 minutes wait we were advised of, the food was not here. 30 mins more I wait, and still the food isn’t here. That’s 2 hours and still no food. I try to call, the line just rings and rings until it cuts out. This happened 5 times before I decide to drive there (defeating the whole point of the takeaway ‘service’ they offer…). I get there and stand at the till for 10 mins before someone comes, I say that I have been waiting 2 hours and that it is crazy and ask if it would be quicker if I just collect. No apology given, they just ask my address and say it has been sent. The person was very rude and flippant about it which was not appreciated at all. I ask when it was sent out and their very useful response was ‘I don’t know, I can’t tell’. I leave to go home and finally get a call from partner to say food has FINALLY arrived, 2 hours and 20 minutes after ordering. The food when it got to my house was cold (shock) which was the icing on the cake of poor service. Will not be ordering again.

Never again would I order for delivery 1 hour 45 minutes advised for delivery after 2 hours phoned and was told that had now changed and would be at less another half hour from when I phoned totally messed up our Saturday night do not order for delivery unless you eat first

Chips had been re fried at least 3 times disgusting called back and they put the phone down on me normally the food is good and hot and tasty will buy from them again

Brilliant , been using Hello Kitchen for about a year , every takeaway has been spot on, would highly recommend

I ordered a gluten free chicken rice noodle dish and i know there’s a risk eating out with an allergy but there was still soy sauce in my dish (which i’m not allowed ) and i ended up getting ill ... There was also two black hairs in my dish . None of us that ordered from there has black hair . I’m very disappointed.

Excellent Food, best takeaway around Hedge End. Quick friendly service despite being busy. All food cooked well, up to the usual standard.

Have had many takeaways always good. Delivery is always within time given but often sooner. Would recommend.

Great tasting food, quick take away service and at a reasonable cost - one dish would be sufficient to share between two if you were not too hungry! Based on the few times that I have eaten food from Hello Kitchen, I would revisit again.

This people are just terrible.....they didn’t deliver any sauces with my takeaway ....then sent someone a week later with a tub of sauce 😂....waste of money ....no gratification just you haven’t ordered that sauce before !!!... dry old noddles ....will never order again ....rude rude rude

Didn't have dinner ready last Tuesday so decided to stop at Chinese takeaway hello kitchen haven't used this place for some months no surprise hasn't changed food was excellent quick service and dry reasonable highly recommend this venue

Amex says these guys accept Amex but the restaurant refuses to accept. Go with a different card else they won't be able to take payment from you.

Been using Hello Kitchen since it opened and lately it has not been great, batter on prawns not crispy, chow mein is bland, crispy beef is soggy with too much sauce, sweet and sour sauce too sour, BBQ ribs are very good still though. I've decided to take my money elsewhere as it is now the 3rd choice Chinese takeout in Hedge End.

We order from here early week and are always pleased with our meal Its always hot and delivered on time

We’re regular customers and love the food- lots of flavour and well priced with good deliver service. They missed out on a huge £100 order tonight because they don’t have a queuing system on their phone. They only have one phone line and after 43 attempts at calling them over 15 minutes I gave up and got a huge fish and chips order instead. The phone was constantly engaged and this is not the 1st time I’ve advised them to upgrade their phone system. You need to invest in a queuing system on the phone line- ideally one that gives approximate wait time. You’ve probably missed out on a huge amount of money over the last few years as a result of not investing a relatively small amount.

I was staying at a hotel nearby and have been for quite a while; I was constantly going to the usual places for dinner and decided I fancied something different.

The sweet and sour chicken balls were very good - light and tasty with succulent chicken but the crispy beef didn't appear to have any beef in the thin batter strips. Flavour came from the sauce. Not sure if I would use this Take Away again.

Never again.chow mein and pancake roll tasted like dirty dish water cloth. I also asked for special curry I got given a chunky mushroom curry.why treat your customers in this vile way.and wtf you doing to the food to make it taste like that. should be ashamed of yourselfs. Vile.

Delivered the wrong order when I called them to tell them of the mistake I was told I would have to wait 2hrs for my order to be sent out. And what they sent wasn't that nice. Dont know if it has changed hands Refused to credit me the difference.

The food here is amazing however sometime trying to get through on the phone can be a struggle but the staff are always pleasant.

I here mixed reviews of Hello Kitchen however I have never had a bad takeaway from it. I find the food hot and tasty. The staff seem nice and helpful and the actual premises is large and clean.

The delivery was as they said it would be 25 minutes delivery person was very polite The food was hot and very tasty chosen was great as was the chicken curry all the food was great not a bad price either

Food here is pretty good but the guy at the counter is so rude. Twice now I have been “told off” . Last time it was for wanting to add a can of Coke to order when I arrived after forget to ask for one when ordering over the phone. I mean really!? Heaven knows what he would do if you asked to pay by card if it was under £12 as there are A4 print outs all over the place reminding people. Waiting room is absolutely freezing as well. You feel like unwelcome guests from arrival to departure.

This place used to serve good quality food with generous portions. That was when they first opened. I don't know if there have been changes of staff or maybe they've just got complacent but our latest take away was really poor. Not much of it & tasteless. The Singapore noodles were dry & almost inedible. The young man at the counter simply grunts at his customers. Badly in need of a customer service training course. He needs to realise we pay his wages. Won't be returning.

Couldn’t find the menu online, so had to go to there to order. Food was cooked fresh to order and was pleasant enough.

The woman on the phone had to check what a vegan was before informing my partner that there were no options on the menu.

One of the best Chinese takeaways in the area in my opinion. Good food and well prepared. Sensible prices and friendly service. I'm sure others have their preferences but this is the one my wife and I prefer locally.

Delivery arrived after nearly an hour, I think they should have warned us of the longish wait. More disappointing though was the food. It arrived hot and wasn’t too greasy or salty but unfortunately much of it was quite tasteless. Should have been much better as it was a bit on the pricey side.

This was the second time we've had a takeaway here, based on recommendations from relatives and it was just as good as the first meal, which was exceptional. The kitchen is open so you can see the chefs cooking, the staff were friendly, offering fortune cookies for free as well and the food was on time and piping hot. From our experience of using other takeaways in the area, this is without doubt the best of the bunch at the moment and we'll be going back.... again and again.

Ordered and ready in 20 kind. Excellent taste and all tasted really fresh. This was confirmed when one dish we wanted was sold out which was good to know they don’t have bowls of it lying around in chillers. Always a good take away

This is a good takeaway with the usual menus. It was perfectly acceptable but nothing special. Efficient and quick to prepare food ordered by phone. Can't comment on a delivery service as we collected our food.

I have seen a number of other reviews of HK and interestingly the good ones say the food is lovely and the bad ones say customer service is poor. I have to say the food is very tasty and we are regular customers and have never had poor customer service. pity they don't have a proper restaurant as the food could make it in a restaurant setting

I really enjoy the food as it is fresh and not greasy like other takeaways however the people are so rude. I phoned up to get a takeaway and the man on the phone literally SIGED when I asked to pay by card over the phone. Plus it is a lot more expensive and no freebies such as prawn crackers even when spending £40+. I need to find a Chinese in hedge end with better food and I'll never buy it from here again just because of the people.

Have used HK for about a year now and always right on time and very very tasty!Sometimes at weekends they get very busy so book well in advance like I do!Their king prawns are to die for!!

This used to be our Chinese of choice since moving to the area 2 years ago but since getting such terrible customer from the very rude lady on the phone at Hello Kitchen we will now be taking our business elsewhere.

Best Chinese in the Hedge End/Botley area. Food was always really tasty. Always delivered on time.Shame about the staff taking orders over the phone. Simply, Rude! Bad attitude and clearly didn't want to be there. Maybe you should remember that customers are paying your wages! But not to worry, we won't be an inconvenience you anymore...

We asked the staff at our hotel for a good Chinese place and they recommended this. What a little gem. It might not look like much from the outside but the food was delicious and was ready soon after we ordered. So thank you to the friendly staff for the delicious meal

Top takeaway, wouldn't go anywhere else for a Chinese take away, very quick service and friendly and polite. Above all the food tasted great. We also did a large order for around 30 people, where we were offered a discount and the delivery and overall service was very good, The staff also helped us to make a great choice

We usually find this the best cones but after waiting a hour and a half for cold Chinese I don't think we will be returning. Called up after a hour and got told it would be here within 2 minutes, 30 minutes later it was here and cold :( very disappointed....

If I was writing this review a few weeks ago I would have asked for gold stars because the food was always restaurent quality and cooked to perfection every time.So the new owners are now in and immediately standards have slipped and a once great takeaway is now just another takeaway offering below average food.Soggy king prawns, a pot of empty mussel shells in a very salty black Bean sauce and the once spectacular house special fried rice now without its prawns and bulked out with good old carrot.I would like to think tonight was just an "off night" and hope normal service will be resumed for our next visit. If it's not there won't be a next time.

Made the awful decision of giving this takeaway another go but shouldn't have bothered. Food was cold and the noodles were clumped together and uncooked. Found a black hair in my food and complained but was accused of making it up to get a free meal! We went in to collect the order and it was evident that we were all blond. Rude staff and an unhappy customer! Will never come here again and strongly urge others not to.

Everything cooked to order. The chicken and sweet corn soup was absolutely lovely, didn't want it to end. Great meal guys. Definitely order again why cook, when you have the best Chinese food at a tap of a button.

Food took THREE HOURS after being told twice that it would "only be another half hour" and that it was "on its way". Some of the food was barely warm. Items were missing. The fourth time we called I was told I'd get a refund...which hasn't happened yet either. Doubt I'll use again.

Appreciate it is NYE - but took over two hours to arrive When we called to check they said 5minutes, it arrived 20minutes later. The delivery man apologised saying it had only just been cooked.

What can one say, the food was out of this world. Lovely and hot, food cooked to perfection l, made a great family night and feast.

I was a little apprehensive after reading some trip advisor reviews but our meal was fantastic, we all thoroughly enjoyed it. The delivery was a little late but this is to be expected on a Saturday night.
