This is a wonderful place that offers lovely food, including a full english breakfast, tea and coffee to all who need company and need a sanctuary for contemplation and want to meet new friends. Come and enjoy the excellent service and friendly faces. Delicious food, thank you.

A great place - service, atmosphere, truly uplifting. Pay as you please/pay what you can. A community in itself. Well worth a diversion to sample the delicious variety of lunches on offer. A real credit to Ellie and her team!

I first went to this place earlier this week, and found it right at the rear of this beautiful church. If you want a decent homemade sandwich, or eggs on toast with a mean cup of coffee this is the place to be. Well tucked away from the town, and it enjoys free parking.... If you really want to venture, you might even find a good book to read in the church library. Sally will always be happy to take your order with a smile and look after you. A perfect retreat if you’re passing through

Using food waste and enabling those who can’t afford a decent meal to have, surely gives you the opportunity to be able to give back in a positive way. Wow HeBrews an example to all.

Gorgeous little cafe in the heart of Addlestone, run by a rather impressive woman who is leading the way in Surrey's alternative cafe world. Eleanor is taking food waste head-on by using surplus food from big name supermarkets, she is bringing the community together by offering all food on a donation basis (pay as you feel) as well as tackling unemployment by training volunteers to be fit and ready for the work force. On top of all that she makes delicious, homely food and cakes and a mean cup of coffee. Despite not being a member of the church (where the cafe is located), this is the only cafe I'll visit in Addlestone. Where you are actually making a different just be being a patron! Make your next coffee and cake a worthy one.

Friendly welcome to the community-minded coffee shop in a lovely local church. Great coffee (skinny latte is recommended), simple, fresh home-cooked food and good service from cheerful and warm-hearted staff. We couldn't decide on scrambled eggs on toast or bacon sandwiches so the staff suggested eggs with bacon on the side, no trouble at all and a good call as both items were cooked exactly to my taste, were hot and delicious and served with proper HP Sauce.. Couldn't resist a slice of homemade Snickers brownie too. The only think that would have improved this tasty delight would have been a good dollop of extra thick double cream!! All this in a relaxed atmosphere which is perfect for locals or visitors alike. Wifi available and dogs welcomed too.

Affordable & friendly coffee shop, the staff are warm & welcoming. Great coffee & amazing food that is made by the lady that runs the shop, I cant believe the staff are volunteers, big coffee shops should take notes from these volunteers. I'll definitely be coming back. Thanks for a great experience

Staff are always really friendly, cakes are home-made and delicious, coffee is excellent and the latte is made just the way I like it. I'm not a church-goer but really enjoy the coffee shop with other local mums after the school drop-off.

Hadn't been to HeBrews for a while. Went for Friday lunch with an old friend. Lovely welcome from staff. It was really busy but service was still great. Enjoyed the quiche and salad.

I go to Hebrews regularly for a great coffee and lovely home-made cakes. They have being doing lunches on Fridays for a few weeks and I finally go to try it out. Had a lovely home-made quiche with salad (yummy dressing on the salad) and some slaw - Really enjoyable and as always, very friendly with great service. They also had home-made soup available as well as toasted sandwiches. Menu changes every week I think. Prices are amazingly low. You must try it out. FREE WiFi and magazines too.

The coffee was perfect but what really made it was the friendly service. I was asked exactly how I liked my coffee and was even offered hot milk. I enjoyed a piping hot large cup of freshly brewed Americano and sat chatting with an old friend in a warm cosy environment. If you feel like a change from the chain cafe's then give Hebrews a try.

Why go anywhere else if you're looking for good coffee in the area. An independent coffee house on the premises of St Paul's church, it stands on its own excellence and is completely different from, and much better, than your Starbucks, Costas etc. The coffee is the best around and the cakes and pastries, all of which are home made, are truly outstanding. You must try the ginger cookies! Add a very friendly and personable staff and comfortable atmosphere, you too will be delighted. Leave the chain coffee houses for when you visit London.

I visit this coffee shop whenever time allows so I have already tried the great coffee and delicious home made cakes. This week I happened to have time to pop in on Friday when lunch was also on the menu, not having time to stay for lunch I purchased a portion of soup and a cheese scone to takeaway. The soup (butternut squash and sweet potato) was absolutely delicious and the cheese scone was melt in the mouth. I hope that lunch is on menu for good as the quality and value is so much better than my office canteen!

I am a barista at another coffee shop in Surrey and might just have to throw in the towel now HeBrews has joined the coffee excellence league.I am notoriously meticulous among my friends, colleagues and near anyone I might discuss coffee with when it comes to coffee and can honestly say I believe HeBrews is now the only place around I will drink coffee other than that I have made with my own hands. The team at HeBrews know exactly how to brew a brew if coffee beans were ever intended to be brewed and don't even get me started on the coffee cake! You can taste just how fresh and home-made it is. Perfection in cake form.Artists at work - would recommend to a friend.

This coffee shop has changed my life!! Never again shall I darken the doorstep of any of those shabby corporates who offer little more than an office like business meeting cafe or howling kids intent of robbing you of life's joy. Great coffee, great staff, and great atmosphere, so it's Hebrews for me from now on.

Hebrews serves good coffee, made on the same professional machines as in the big chains but at a much lower price. They also do great home-made cakes at very sensible prices. the staff are very friendly and welcoming and the place has a lovely relaxed atmosphere, where people actually talk to each other! Free Parking and WiFi too. Really worth a visit.

HeBrews is a warm inviting cafe new to the Addlestone area. It is a cafe that has already established a strong base of clientele and as such has a relaxed warm friendly atmosphere. After chatting to the two co managers Ellie and Linda I learned that neither one had catering experience; but that does not show. Each brings excellent peopel skills to their operation and as such their friendly nature would bring people back for more. I was ready to overlook any lack of quality due to their lack of experience. But I was wrong. The coffee is excellent and the cakes and food served is the kind of homemade that you ask for some to take home. In summary when you visit HeBrews you will get excellent food and coffee and wonderful friendly service in a relaxed atmosphere.

HeBrews hasn't been open long, yet already seems to have built up a regular supply of customers who go back week after week (or even day after day!) The atmosphere is uplifting and peaceful, and whenever I've visited, I've come away feeling relaxed and refreshed. Nothing is too much trouble for the friendly staff, who make everyone welcome. I can't comment on the coffee (being a tea drinker!) but I can comment on the delicious home-made cakes which are very good value, if challenging to the waistline due to the temptation to have another piece! As it's early days for this venture, the cafe is currently only open weekday mornings and the menu is limited mainly to cakes and drinks, and this is the only reason I gave a 4. If it was to open longer and maybe provide some more savoury options, it would be a definite 5!

The washrooms are a disgrace requiring immediate repair, missing flush panel for over 7 weeks and a broken seat. Staff also upset that not repaired

Lovely lunchtime rolls but a bit pricey paying 20p per salad item. Weird and wonderful can drinks but would have liked some regular fizzy drinks as a choice too.

I popped in because I used to work there 40 years ago. I had a glass of wine, asked for ladies which turned out to be where the kitchen was when I was cook. The bar person was very friendly and welcoming. Would recommend, looks like they have local regulars still.
