I grew up in Northampton and often come back to visit my sister who lives in the Mounts area. With her house being so near to the town centre we usually wander that way for coffee and end up in one of the major chain cafes out of habit but as today was beautifully sunny we trotted out in a different direction and happened upon this brilliant little cafe. Everything was very reasonably priced (the cakes were so yummy we almost went back for seconds at the price! 🐷) the coffee was excellent and the lady who served us was lovely too. We sat out at the kerbisde table and watched the world go by. We're already planning our next trip to try out the afternoon tea...

I think they call this a "community" cafe and the staff and other customers were very friendly. Plenty of banter going on amongst the assumed regulars making a relaxed atmosphere. They make their own gluten free cakes which is ideal for a Coeliac. All enjoyable and would go back now we have worked out the slightly baffling door arrangements on the toilets!

Nice place very clean n staff were friendly Food was lovely Only reason ime giving a 4 star and not a five is simply because i think if ime paying 7.99 for a breakfast it would be nice to have a tea or coffee included like most other places do instead of having to pay extra These are the little things that get people back. Just my opinion tho. Other than that Top notch

Fantastic food, great coffee and a family atmosphere make this the best cafe in Northampton. Recommend to anyone in the area, worth going out of your way for. Fresh baked cakes are always available and great treat for the kids. Great couple who run the place make everyone feel welcome. Top experience.

Popped in for a breakfast ,food very good and enjoyed watching the world go by from a window seat. Most clientele seemed to know each other so just a little clicky and male owner standing around the shop a little loud. It may have been just the time we went in,so would give it another go.

First time I went there it was during the blistering heatwave and I was so thirsty, Heather made me a soya milk based banana milkshake. It was creamy, not too sweet and ice cold and so refreshing, I had a medium sized one for the really good price of £1.80. 10/10

It's been a while since I came here - always loved the charm and friendliness of the owners and the wide selection of teas available! Wide variety and tastes catered to when asked - love my bacon crispy and Heather delivers! Always a fun time with Bungle and his stories, the nice crafts from Heather that she does on display and to buy and genuinely a lovely atmosphere! Glad that it hasn't changed!!!

A cup of tea and a jacket potato with tuna and cheese for lunch simple but delicious. Charming host and customers alike.

Strange setup, very small and with a strange collection of things around the place. I felt the place was shabby and I had a general feeling that hygiene might not have been a top priority. Food wasn't cooked very well, limp bacon and underdone egg (still jelly white), overall not a great experience, I did not like the place it's literally a 2 minute walk from my front door but will not be going back.

Fabulous cafe, Heather is delightful. Food is delicious and well worth any wait. Homemade cakes, including gluten free options. Vegetarian and vegan options also available.

Friendly community orientated café serving homemade food. Cooked to order so may be a short wait but well worth it and if time's tight you can phone ahead and order so it's ready when you get there. They always have gluten free cake available and use Drury Tea & Coffee which is fair traded. Heather also sells her homemade fudge, chutneys and preserves alongside individually crafted gifts and paintings.

Served fresh so a short wait but worth it. Responsibly sourced food eg coffee supporting international fair trade. Pleasant atmosphere and take out service. Great. Well done.

Stopped by for late lunch at 3pm Sunday (today), in part due to positive reviews. We were not greeted on entry, so we seated ourselves next to another occupied table. Surveyed the menu, decided what to order, and then placed menus down and waited. And waited. Several servers went by, and we were also in view of the bartender. No one said anything to us or even acknowledges us. After waiting about 20 minutes for someone to came over to offer service, we decided to leave.

We go mainly for our Son. Wacky warehouse has been a godsend to us whilst he’s a toddler and looking to burn off some energy. Victoria is always working in wacky warehouse when we are there and she is so attentive, always there to serve but also always interacts with the children and has even helped me when i’ve been on my own and my child has been having a meltdown about leaving. Couldn’t ask for better service, definitely enjoys her job and it shows!
