What an absolute shower of s**t. Waited an hour for food. Clearly they were completely unable to deal with the function they had and normal customers. We gave up and cancelled the food and left as had to get daughter. Ruined our Saturday night. There’s nothing worse than telling people you can serve them when clearly you have no ability to do so. Why not just close the kitchen for the function? Greediness and an incompetent bar manager.

Fuimos allí porque escuchamos que el famoso restaurante tailandés Krapow de Clapton ahora está preparando la comida. No decepcionó, excelentes alitas pegajosas, buñuelos de calabaza, fideos y ensalada de papaya. El personal es muy servicial y amable. Gran pub antiguo con juegos y jardín, con un toque moderno de paredes azul oscuro, obras de arte enmarcadas y festival de la sidra. Definitivamente volveremos. Ambiente agradable el domingo al mediodía.

Vine aquí para almorzar con mi amigo en todos los aspectos, no era malo. Lo siento, pero ahí es donde termina. Nos sentamos y elegimos nuestra comida. Cuando fui al bar para pedir todo lo que quería no estaba disponible, no fue un buen comienzo. Pedí unas bebidas que tampoco me dieron Guinness porque la bomba estaba apagada. . El servicio en mis ojos era atroz. Y nunca hay una disculpa o un gerente a la vista. Si se trata de un establecimiento recién reformado y abierto, entonces creo que deben comenzar de nuevo en primer lugar con la capacitación del personal para solicitar un negocio y no solo a unas pocas personas y, definitivamente, a la atención al cliente. TOTALMENTE SHOCKING en mis ojos para ambos

Yo y un amigo llegamos alrededor de las 3 pm el 12 de agosto (un domingo). Aunque el pub parecía estar lleno con el personal del bar sacando comida a varias mesas, cuando mi amiga se acercó al bar y retiró su pedido, menú en mano, todo lo que ella pidió obtuvo la respuesta, "No, no tengas eso". No tienes eso tampoco ". Seguido por, "No tomaremos más pedidos de alimentos durante al menos media hora". Sus palabras exactas. Incluso cuando mi amigo pidió una pinta de Guinness, la respuesta del personal del bar fue: "No, no tenemos eso. Algo malo con las bombas ". Bueno, ese no es el problema de los clientes y no es lo que quieren escuchar. Dado que las personas se toman el tiempo para vestirse y hacen un esfuerzo por visitar un establecimiento en este pub en lugar de visitar por impulso, el personal del bar debería proporcionar un mejor servicio. He estado en este pub a mitad de semana solo y el servicio fue mediocre. Personalmente, no creo que el personal pueda manejar una gran afluencia de clientes en un momento dado. Como siempre, nunca hay un gerente en la escena para quejarse, así que nos levantamos y nos vamos para ir al pub Walnut Tree en la misma zona. También me informó un escenario similar de un amigo, además de que solo tiene que leer las terribles reseñas aquí para casarlas todas juntas y ver un patrón emergente.

Me han dicho que visitar el lugar de mi amigo en muchas ocasiones. Y ME finnaly., es muy bonito, pero la comida y las bebidas ofrecen bastante pobre. .

This is our local and I can’t say enough good things. Love the vibe, the people and always good music. The bar staff are excellent! Friendly, and always on it. Food is great, the burgers are awesome! So lucky to call this pub our local.

Great refurb on this local. Staff generally friendly except when had to wait to be served as 2 talking about how hungover they were instead of serving. 3 times we have been in, we have been completely unable to get a seat due to the amount of reserved tables, even hours in advance. Should be a small section for reservation and then first come first serve fof the rest. Place is like a creche as well with the account of babies, toddlers and children. At times we couldn't move from push chairs and kids bikes. Not the atmosphere one expects from a pub, especially after dark. Burgers are incredible though. Silver lining I guess.

The family stopped at this recently re-opened pub for lunch when in the area. The place has a number of rooms like the games room, a private area and the main pub. We all had different meals and all of them came quick and were very tasty. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place for families with children and others.

I felt welcome, had a couple of pints, average price for the type of place. Pool table. Nice décor and friendly staff. Will visit again

I just don't get this place at all. Terrible atmosphere, food bad, antiquated decor. No pool tables or entertainment. A bit old man-ish :(

This place could be a total goldmine. It's a stones throw from our front door and we were so excited when it re-opened but it's such let down. I appreciate it takes money to build something from scratch and it has all the ingredients for being amazing but it's not at all. Staff are friendly enough but the decor is very dated, menu choices aren't great either. It needs to close down and have some managers who really know what they are doing to bring the place back to life. Would not recommend 😞

Had a really bad experience in this place. Food and drink not good. Staff quite rude. Don't know quite what the situation is, but does not feel right. Not be going back again

This is our local pub which we visited once 9 years ago despite living in the area for 12 years, however embarrassingly following the threat of closure and its recent reopening, this has now become our local. It still could benefit from redecorating or a redesign but for the new owner it probably requires a significant spend. However drinks prices are good, my favourite Guinness tastes good. Recently experienced the food and was pleasantly surprised on how good it tasted. Will definitely be eating there again. They are good for hosting music and entertainment. We recently enjoyed a Soul and House music Sunday Soul session which was very good. They also had a bouncy castle in the garden making it very family friendly. Looking forward to seeing more improvements at our local.

A few years ago this used to be a great pub with fantastic food. However it has fallen apart. I would not recommend it to anyone.

This is our local, so it was good to see it open again. As a bit of a foodie we were pleasantly surprised when we had dinner the other night. We both had steaks- they were good quality and cooked well. my son had the homemade burger and he ate most of it which is a always a good sign. Would love the football back but imagine with the cost of the licence the pub will need to be busier then it is at the moment. decor could do with a refresh but good to have a local pub back. would recommend and if we want to keep this pub we should support it.

After a chequered history with the last owners running the business into the ground, I was interested to see how the newly opened bar would 'deliver'.Last weekend with little or no advertising the venue opened with the usual 'free drinks' which always attracts a crowd. However since then it has gone back to a few regulars during the day.The high price of food (£12 for a burger and almost £4 for a pint of beer) might have something to do with the lack of custom, and with 3 burly doorstaff searching for knives and drugs; this does nothing to make the welcome friendly.The new owners have an awful lot to do.

Our band frequently play here, and can say that the welcome we recieve from Tess and her staff are second to none. The crowd is very friendly and enthusiastic towards bands, and well worth a visit on Friday nights, which is the live music night...

Absolutely shocking the food was ridiculous the toilets smelt the bar our absolutely wrong will never go there again ever the beer was flat and overpriced drinks

Went to this pub for a bit to eat with friends and a couple of kids. Food was dirt cheap and came quite quickly. But there was a major downside, the food was far from great, I had sausage and mash, the mash was very microwaved overlooked so it had solid hard bits, kids had corn on he cob with their meal one of which had mild on it, not a problem though as it was replaced very quickly. But by then all faith was lost. This is an OK place to eat if you don't mind about what you're getting. neither my friends or I won't be eating there again
