Heap's Sausages in Greenwich

We sat outback in heated undercover area which was quiet, clean and had patio heaters and blankets. The queue with locals a great sign. We had the sausage bap. It was fantastic. Would recommend. Well filled with sausage, bap lovely and fresh.

Everyone should try Heap’s when in Greenwich. Great food served by charming and helpful staff. A great choice of sausages and the bacon is so good.

Had a takeaway breakfast here with my partner. Between us we had a big bap (Egg, one bacon rasher, two sausage) a sausage bap and one coffee and it was £19.55. VERY expensive for what it was BUT it's also very good quality and served quickly. Id be torn about going back, purely on value for money grounds, but if you don mind paying, its very nice

Wow what a hidden gem. Absolutely superb food and nice selection of drinks including beer and wine. The real joy not surprisingly are the sausages. Would 100% recommend this place. Nicely tucked away off a back street away from the crowds too.

Having watched my wife start the London Marathon, and then walked to Greenwich to see her again as she passed through, my daughter and I needed some lunchtime sustenance. We passed Heap's en route to do battle with the DLR for our next rendezvous, and spotted the sausage baps. Delicious sausages and prompt service set us up for the next few hours. Will remember for next time we're in Greenwich!

The finest section of sausages. No trip to Greenwich is complete without buying a selection of their amazing wares and parking oneself outside with a coffee and delicious cannoli to contemplate when to eat them. For my money its the toulouse followed by the cumberland. Or just but one of each and have a tasting session. Then there's the burgers. Great staff, fabulous food.

The bacon bap was disappointing. The bread roll looked and tasted like a bargain basement bap. Okay but didn’t match expectations

I miss being able to sit inside since they have done away with indoor seating however it doesn’t distract from the amazing fresh food and wonderful service! The sausages are tasty, service is efficient and by far one of the friendliest cafes in Greenwich. When weather is kind it’s nice to sit outside and people watch. There’s always lots of locals to chat to and very friendly neighbourhood dogs 🐕

Heaps, you pay for the quality! I was so very impressed with this lovely little deli! Top points from me. You must pay a visit if you are in Greenwich. There’s often a line outside for a reason.

We were walking through the park talking about wanting to get breakfast and a guy overheard us and recommended here... so glad he did! We had a sausage and onion bap and a bacon and avocado bap, both were excellent! Cute little deli shop too. Will definitely go here again.

I've been to Heaps a couple of times, whether just for a quick coffee while walking round Greenwich or a breakfast roll and can safely say it's one of the best little cafes in Greenwich. The service is excellent, there's a good selection of things to choose and the coffee is really nice, would highly recommend!

A few years ago a friend and I had full breakfasts at Mr Heap's (sat inside) and it was lovely - despite the price. Fair sized platefuls too. We were hoping to have another couple of breakfasts a few weeks ago, but it seems full breakfasts are no longer done, and the prices of the other options were just too high. Plus - just two outside seats - both taken. Disappointed, we carried on walking... So - not a critique of the food - I'm sure it's still lovely...

Staying in the area for a couple of days, we decided to have breakfasts out and had read some good on-line reviews about Heap's. Pleased to stay it lived up to expectations with a couple of breakfast rolls enjoyed outside in the rain! Fortunately there is some cover and enough room for a very small number of people to be safely distanced outside. Great sausages and bacon! And efficiently served with a smile and a nice welcome. Thank you!

We called for breakfast and sat on the benches outside. The staff are very helpful, attentive and efficient. Everyone we saw getting served received personal service as the staff came out to take orders very quickly and remembered who had ordered what. So that's a good start. The service matches the food - absolute high quality. Extremely impressed. I asked for an egg instead of avocado and it was no problem. The food was hot and very fresh. My husband is a meat eater and he found the quality of his sandwich to be outstanding. Absolutely worth a visit to support a small business doing everything right!

Visited here several time. Close to the park. Best sausage roll ever! Can also pick up other items on the menu as well as fresh sausages to cook at home.

Approaching 1pm on a Friday in Tier 3 and people are queuing down the road to place takeaway orders - students, mums with kids, workmen. When I finally make it to the front of the queue and into the shop I am offered mulled wine. There are mince pies of the proper traditional kind - sweet, but at the same time so tart and boozy they make you gasp. And as for the famous sausage bap, pure heaven. Properly meaty and herby in a giant bun. Properly cheered me up amidst Covid ChristMad bleakness. Hope they can open up properly again soon.

Acabo de tomar un maravilloso desayuno de bap de salchicha para llevar, corrí a casa para comerlo y todavía estaba caliente y totalmente delicioso, definitivamente lo volveré a hacer.También había pedido por adelantado algunas salchichas por teléfono antes de ir a recogerlas, estaban listas para que las recogiéramos, sin esperas, personal encantador, todo hecho con sonrisas y una actitud alegre y amistosa.Ahora espero con ansias deliciosas salchichas y puré en la semana.Gracias Heaps, eres el mejor.

Never known better than the takeaway breakfast baps they have created since lockdown. All the family have favourites. Mine is the sausage and bacon. Veggie and vegan options too. And blooming good pastries and coffee. Well done.

My partner and myself popped in for breakfast on a Sunday morning. It was busy but they fit us in. We both had the English breakfast which was great , in particularly I loved the sausages. You can buy the produce in the shop too if you want to take some home

Stayed at Ibis hotel across rd as at concert at O2 spotted this great cafe and decided to visit next day. It didn’t disappoint very friendly service great food and reasonable price £22 for a large breakfast and tea

Tried sausage bap, boerewors and Mr heaps. Boerewors is Ok, half pork half beef. I willl go for Mr heap any day. Coffee ok, not great. Its a small place so you’ll have to wait +15 min

We go the hot dog and the full english breakfast; the mushrooms were phenomenal, but the sausages and bacon not great. The bun wasnt crispy. The beans were nice. The place is very small and during the weekend it gets incredibly busy to the point of not enjoyable. Might come back because of the nice elements, but overall average.

Visited today (10.01.2020), We asked the lady behind the counter for a Vegan sausage bap to which she rolled her eyes and replied " are you actually vegan or you just doing the trendy veganary month whilst laughing.The cook then picked up" vegan " sausages and put them on the grill right where meat sausgages were being cooked 20 seconds before.Visited here multiple times last year and there was much nicer staff that didnt give you attitude because you like something different than them.Won't visit again.

After a brisk walk on Greenwich Park with the dogs we decided to get sausage baps, we thoroughly enjoyed them and were planning to revisit before we returned home but time constraints didn't allow, would highly recommend these properly made sausages

After a farce at Wetherspoons, found Heaps nearby. A small venue but big on helpfulness. Much variety for breakfast/lunch etc and made and cooked fresh on the premises. Enzo could not do enough to get us seated and served. Superb service and attitude. Also bought some sausages and burgers before we left. Will return whenever in the area.

De passage au musée national de la Marine, nous sommes tombés par hasard dans ce restaurant. Absolument délicieux ! L’ambiance est sympa et les vendeurs tout à fait agréables.

Ci siamo concessi una pausa per un panino in questo locale durante il soggiorno a Greenwich. Il locale è piccolo ma offre una buona selezione di panini con salsiccia o hamburger o la tipica colazione inglese o dolci e torte.

Muy pequeño pero bonito lugar para comer algo bueno. Tenía las salchichas vegetarianas con aguacate que estaba genial regado con una buena taza. Me recordó a una tienda de pasteles y puré. Siempre podría conseguir comida para llevar y sentarse en el parque de Greenwich si el clima justo a la vuelta de la esquina. Precios razonables y puede comprar salchichas para cocinar en casa.

Descubrí este pequeño café mientras caminaba hacia el museo (y enfrente del teatro), que anuncian salchichas y hamburguesas gourmet, puede tener salchichas precocinadas o pagar una prima (y esperar) para que se cocinen a la orden. Habíamos precocinado y estaban absolutamente bien. También compramos algunas hamburguesas para la cena de las próximas noches, se encogieron más de lo esperado, así que definitivamente no eran gigantes para cuando las comimos, pero aún así estaban muy sabrosas.

Ce restaurant est une boucherie de quartier très agréable dans laquelle on peut manger (tout est préparé devant nous!). Le plat typique britannique "saucisses-bacon-oeuf-haricots en sauce tomate-champignons à la crème" a ravi petits et grands! Les prix sont très raisonnables au vu du très bon repas. Nous recommandons !

Sell the best sausage rolls I’ve ever tasted and bought sausages to take home, they are amazing, best I’ve ever had. The service in this shop is always bad, they don’t seem to know what they’re doing half the time, not even polite. If the food was any less tasty, wouldn’t bother going but as it’s so good you tend to put up with lax service

Situer à une rue de l'observatoire de Greenwich, cette boucherie artisanale qui fait aussi restaurant propose de bon produits de qualité. Grandement satisfait part le breakfast traditionnel, mais d'autre plat sont disponibles.

Love this place! Whenever I have guests staying over, I always bring them here. Sometimes you may have to wait for a table, but it is worth the wait. The sausages are delicious (lamb one is my favourite), and their 'slice of cake' is fab with a cuppa.

I have been to a Heaps before, and enjoyed but as we were in Greenwich, this seemed the perfect opportunity to treat my partner, who is a sausage and mash fan. The meal didn't disappoint, sausages and lovely thick unctuous onion gravy, I had a burger with a thick slice of bacon, both dishes, hot and quickly served. Washed down with a lovely bottle of IPA, then followed by pudding and coffee. All delicious, charming service, great meal ,reasonably priced.

This is a great wee eatery in Greenwich. The venue does not sit too many people and when I visited with a street girl I met outside the bus station it was full. Nonetheless the staff were on top of their game and coped well. This is not a vegetarians idea of paradise as the display counter is choc full of lots of varieties of meaty sausages. Too many flavours for me to list...I had a roll with two bangers on it and the street girl had the house hot dog. My dish was very tasty and the street girl said hers was the best hot dog she has ever had. ..and to be fair she has had a few in her time and is well qualified to pass critique . We also had a tea and a coffee and I really have to " Heap" praise upon Heaps as the latte was really nice. No bitter after tastes like some I have had.

A great destination for any sausage lover! The menu offered lots of options, and we were given a choice of sausages with our ‘Sausage and Mash’ selection... The food was cooked while we waited in the most quaint, cosy and relaxed cafe and tasted absolutely delicious! Enzo was a great host and we’ll be back, without a doubt.

The place in itself was very tiny and intime! Good street food for small or big hunger! Hot dog sausage was different from traditional hot dogs - but was very tasty! Recommend!

Heap's sausages is the BEST place for gourmet sausages! They supply the best sausages I've ever tasted. I do not say that lightly! So many unique and tasty sausages. My favourite is the Sweet Italian closely followed by Toulouse. The Christmas cognac one was superb too. I go with my boyfriend for sausage and mash, or breakfast with coffee, we also love going in the evening for sausage and wine. Enzo is a great host and very helpful when helping you to decide which sausage to buy to take home. The young boy that works here could do with improving his customer service a notch. Heaps is our favourite cosy spot in Greenwich :) The cafe is small but cosy. Avoid the busy times and try anydish with sausage! I always buy sausages to go from here. If you like sausage and/or bacon you must come here!

Wer von London aus einen Ausflug nach Greenwich macht, ist zunächst erschlagen, es ist wirklich überall sehr sehr voll. Aber nicht entmutigen lassen, auf dem Weg zum Park kommt ihr am Heaps vorbei. Es ist ein kleiner netter Imbiss, der sich auf Sausages spezialisiert hat. Fix und fertig sind die Cumberland Sausages, die man fix bekommt, in unterschiedlichen Varianten, mit Mash, und der wundervollen Red Onion Gravy nur als Beispiel. Wenn man etwas mehr Zeit mitbringt, kann man sich auch besondere Sausages braten lassen, es gibt gut 15 verschiedene Sorgen, Guiness und Bacon, Italian Style mit Fenchel, es lohnt auf jeden Fall. Sitzen ist meist recht eng, geht aber alles auch to go und ist dann sogar etwas preiswerter. 10 Schritte weiter ist dann der wunderbare Park, dort kann man in Ruhe das schöne Wetter und das typisch englische Essen genießen. Ist man sehr früh dran, kann man dort auch cooked breakfast genießen. Wir kommen wieder

We had spotted this cafe on a previous visit and, as my husband is a bit of a sausage connoisseur, we decided to call in. I had a bacon bap - ok but a bit pricey at £4.25. My husband chose the standard port sausage one - he wanted a sandwich but only baps available. The sausage itself was most disappointing for him as it was very anaemic looking and the skin was unpleasant to eat, being a bit tough. Additionally, the flavour of the sausage was overpoweringly herby. That too was pricey at £4.75. He ate it as he was hungry but he was disappointed.

Its a great independent food/drink outlet in a great location for park and market and it supports local people. And if you are veggies/vegans theres also a new place right next door for you guys.

The place is small but we found a table for 3 and ordered our breakfast. The bacon sandwich was very nice but stingy on the bacon and my daughter enjoyed her sausage sandwich. However I found my sausage on a stick very disappointing and only had one bite. I thought it was greasy, bland and fatty.

I loved the sausage roll I had, Italian and very delicately flavoured and seasoned. A real treat for those with a good palate. Sadly my mom(poor palate) said she could have had 5 Greggs sausage rolls for the same price, but tasty as those are, they are just junk thrown together. This is a classy sausage maker for connoisseurs! Sadlythough the coffee was terrible, either poorly tamped or ground as it tasted weak and what I could taste was over extracted. Suspect some training of barista skill would help greatly in this regard. Definitely going ack for sausages though!

This is gourmet sausage heaven in a great location, just around the corner from Greenwich Markets. The staff were so helpful and friendly. The sausages that we chose had fantastic flavour and were cooked fresh when we placed our order. We also had a very nice Bakewell tart with coffee. It is definitely a place frequented by locals and they know when a place is good. There are not many seats here but we managed to get one at 11.30am, before the lunchtime rush. I highly recommend Heaps and we'll definitely be back next time we're in Greenwich.

Visted Heaps before we started on our day visit to the Greenwich sights. Couldnt have started our day better, lovely full English breakfast including amazing sausages. Pot of hot tea giving us 2 cups each. Service Good, friendly staff. Obviously used regularly by locals. Go to Heaps...you will not regret It!

Great sausages, nice decor, and you actually can watch sausages being made! Super convenient to the maritime museum. Can get crowded as it’s not that big.

Nos alojábamos localmente y no nos gustaba el desayuno estándar del hotel (Greenwich Ibis). Surgieron montones cuando busqué un café para desayunar. No nos dimos cuenta de lo cerca que estaba realmente, literalmente a 2 minutos de la carretera. Muy sabrosa y buena porción. Salchicha, tocino, alubias, champiñones y panecillos más una taza de té 6. 95. Ambiente encantador y puede ver salchichas que se hacen en la parte posterior de la tienda. Ojalá viviéramos lo suficientemente local para comprar y llevar a casa las salchichas. Opciones vegetarianas disponibles.

I read about Heap’s when looking for good eats in Greenwich and as we wanted some quick and unfussy food this was perfect. Sausages, mash and onion gravy. All good and hot and tasty and a fair price. Tables all clean and tidy. Will certainly visit again and buy some to cook at home.

Breakfast sausages are fantastic. Tasty and meaty. Could have been cooked longer to brown them more but still very good. Service was quick and polite. A small room with not a great amount of tables and seating. Would def visit again.

Stumbled across this wonderful place when up in Greenwich for a training course and the smell wafting down the street drew me in. Amazing sausage sandwiches to go.

The bacon, sausage and egg rolls from here are the perfect remedy for a heavy night out! Great, non-greasy sausages and flavourful bacon make Heap’s the place to eat on a Sunday morning. They do a take away option which is perfect as they’re so busy here!

Not only do they make superb sausages but they also cook them for you as well, the breakfast is really good made tastier by the fact the the meat is made on the site. The staff are really nice and helpful.

We were stoping at the IBIS Greenwich only about 100 yards away so decided to give this place a try for breakfast as on our way to the Maritime Museum.

Our first port of call on our day out in Greenwich, only a minute or so walk from Greenwich Park (the corner near the maritime museum). Wife had breakfast plate, kids the kid version of the same and I had the breakfast bap. Sausages very tasty as was the bacon. We all thoroughly enjoyed our food. They also had a very clean customer toilet. Thanks team.

We were staying locally but our hotel charged £20 per person for breakfast so we went to Heap’s instead and I’m very glad we did! Their homemade sausages were delicious and the brunch we had set us up for a day of sight-seeing. We didn’t need to book. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Order a bacon sarnie on brown bread and got a stale white bap with one fatty under cooked in edible bacon.top it off with brown sauce... Specifically requested none! Twice! Straight in the bin! Waste Wouldn't go back wasn't particularly friendly either.

El personal es amable y estamos dispuestos a preparar el desayuno, como nos gustó y artículos por el desayuno intercambiamos juego así que podría haber justo lo que queríamos. La comida era de muy buena calidad, tuve el desayuno vegetariano, que es sin duda lo recomendaría. Me gustaría volver y probar una de las tartas.

To venner og jeg fik den klassiske engelske morgenmads tallerken. Super lækker - hjemmelavede pølser, bønnerne i lille skål så de ikke smattede resten til. Små lækre stegte champignons vendt i fløde. Fremragende kaffe. Og super hyggeligt lille sted. Og sidst men ikke mindst var personalet sødt og imødekommende

Just went into Heap's for lunch and asked if they take card (it's a tiny little place and I was only going to get a sandwich so was anticipating a minimum spend). The tall, young, brunette man looked at me like I was an alien for a good minute and eventually said "uh yeah" like I was a complete idiot. Completely unnecessary, he was clearly having a bad day and wanted to take it out on someone.

We decided to go on a Sunday morning to try out the sausages. They were really lovely. However, there is a little wait for a table. But it was worth it. We ordered the full breakfast. Bacon, sausages are gorgeous. The cream mushroom were nice, but a bit stingy on quantity. The egg was fried disappointingly though. Would recommend for the experience.

Questo piccolo locale è specializzato in salsicce di cui ne ha numero varietà, anche una italiana. Abbiamo trovato personale sempre sorridente e premuroso e un servizio rapido. Può essere un ottimo posto per una pausa pranzo differente, i piatti sono buoni anche se non molto vari (quasi tutti a base di salsiccia), i prezzi abbastanza nella media londinese.

Un montón es un lugar que a menudo un domingo por la mañana después de mi paseo por el parque! Sin duda lo recomiendo para visitar! Es un lugar precioso, enorme variedad de salchichas, pero no está limitado a eso, tiene un gran desayuno ofrece alta calidad y café! Todo el personal es fantástico!
