Honest Burgers in Greenwich

We visited during the marathon weekend, and we were lucky to get a table during the Saturday lunchtime rush. Although it is a small space, we thought it was well lit and well laid out. I was a bit disappointed that there were limited options on the menu for someone with a small appetite. I wanted a burger, but knew I wouldn't be able to manage burger with rosemary fries. It was clear from the menu that only children under 12 could order from the kids menu. Bit disappointing, as a child's portion size would have been a better option for me. My husband went for the honest burger with rosemary fries, and I went for the chicken wings. We shared the wings, and I tasted his burger and fries. I have to say, the chicken wings were the BEST I have ever tasted, and I would order them again, but a smaller burger option would have been my first choice. Staff were great, and our food was served quickly considering how busy the restaurant was.

I love the food at honest burger. It's always delicious, my main issue is with the service. Twice now I've ordered a delivery and it's been nabbed by another delivery driver causing me to wait for ridiculous periods of time, I only find out what's going on when I phone. Getting through to anyone on the phone takes about 20mins, and I found that the staff were'nt really sympathetic to my problem. I would suggest a new system where uber eats drivers don't just come in and swipe any bag at random. Their whole business model comes from delivering quickly, so they are completely careless about order accuracy whereas Honest Burger should strive for good customer satisfaction. I have been to a few branches and never experienced an issue, but this is turning into a regular thing at the greenwich branch. If you go here, make sure you dine in!

Wanted to try the limited addition Homewrecker chicken burger. The chicken was very thin and felt like it came from frozen. Portion of homewrecker cheese was a joke compared to advertising. Barely could even taste it. Very good portion of fries. Service was fine, but nothing special. It was a quiet evening. [photo 1 is my burger, 2 is the advertised burger]

Judging by other people’s reviews I’m sure their service in person is great but their delivery is horrible. I would strongly recommend against ordering from Honest Burgers via any delivery app. Missing drinks, an obscenely long wait time on a Tuesday eve (?), and cold food. Such a disappointment. Will not be ordering again.

Best place in Greenwich to have a burger

Really good, fresh, flavoursome food, served in a clean and inviting space. The customer service was exceptional - the lady with the pink hair made our visit extra special (5 star). Definitely coming back! Great job Honest Burgers Greenwich 👌🏽

It is a very cramped place, number one. If you want to have a conversation, forget it. It is perfect for an unexpected or bad date (NOISY)😆. The food was ok; the Honest burger was good, the fries were the best part, and the coleslaw had no taste. The onion rings were tasty, but four small ones and three tiny wings hardly justified the price. The staff is friendly but not very attentive. It was a small beer selection, but the wife was happy with the wine.

The waitresses were rather slow at first, but the food came quickly. I had a double smash burger and it was delicious. If you are really hungry, I recommend that you have a side snack. My table companions also really enjoyed it. Definitely recommended everywhere!

We went for little munchies. The staff was very lovely but I was a bit disappointed with the food. The rosemary fries didn’t really have a distinctive flavour of rosemary. In the vegan coleslaw, I thought they would put vegan mayo but it was just the salad without the mayo. The onion rings were way too oily. The burgers looked great so maybe I will be back for some burgers and other non vegetarian options. The mojito we took was great !!! Would recommend it during the summers :)

I think these were the BEST fries/chips I've ever tasted while eating out. The chicken burger was also very light on the stomach and delicious taste-wise. I would definitely recommend going ! The music was sometimes a little loud it felt like and we waited maybe 20-30 mins for the food, but honestly, it was great. (Plus, the chicken is halal there !)

Dined in on 16/03 (5pm) Quick service however bland burgers and overcooked wings. Service by two of the waitresses was pleasant and quick. However, one of the waitresses (I’d like to point out the one wearing glasses) was extremely rude. Service charge is optional, if the food is not up to standard we are free to request it be removed. I did so and the waitress aforementioned decided to sarcastically say “thank you so much” and drop the card machine quite aggressively onto the table. She then proceeded to gossip about it making it clear I could hear on two occasions. I think the other waitress felt embarrassed. Really unacceptable, entitled, and unprofessional. …also justifies my rationale for removing service charge in the first place. I’ve had good meals in Honest Burgers, namely in Liverpool Street, however, I won’t be going back to the Greenwich branch

One of the tastiest veggie burgers in London. 10/10 Super kind staff and really liked the vibe. Update : This place has become a regular date night spot, enjoyed the same.

I ordered a delivery of tribute burger and rosemary fries, the fries were fine but I didn’t receive the correct burger and my burger Pattie was burnt. This is unacceptable especially considering I spent £18 on this meal to receive an incorrect order of poor quality food.

Visited the place yesterday and had a good experience as always. The waiter recommended the pesto chicken burger — it was absolutely delicious. The waitress was also very kind and accommodating.

Food was OK as burgers go at this price range. When I went, they got one of our tables orders wrong,but as we waited so long and was hungry, we chose not to wait for them to correct it.

The burgers were excellent and came in massive portions. Our server was friendly and polite. The decor and atmosphere were upbeat. The sound was nice but a bit too loud for my liking. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place. 👌

Food was amazing and staff lovely and accommodating. Music really loud, so for Autistic and people with Hyperacusis a bit of a struggle. Staff did turn down a little, but said they are not really allowed by order of those above. It was early 1pm, maybe the powers above could do lower volume for lunch. We would love to be able to make it a regular, but the loudness would stop us

I had a brilliant experience at HBG. While the food was good as usual, it was the above and beyond customer service that has earned it my 5-star rating. They staff were attentive, friendly and very helpful when myself and my kids ran into a bit of an issue. The manager worked to resolve the issue and did so with kindness and fairness. I would visit again to say thank you for their compassion and understanding. Great staff and insanely good customer service. Many, many thanks.

Staff were so preoccupied with cleaning (banging pots and pans very loudly) to get us out and close-up, they forgot to place my partners order. This was well before closing, mind. At least they comped us my meal.

We are frequent customers, these are the best burgers in London by far, although it is clear that quality has been dropping, I wish they focus more in the quality instead of trying to keep prices too low.

I have visited the Honest Burger Greenwich twice and it is definitely one of my favourite burger shops in London. Roberto is really friendly and helpful, he even remembered us when we went for the second time. The signature Greenwich burger is a must-try in this branch and we love to rosemary chips too.

The place was freezing. Definitely need to invest in proper heating. Chips were hard. But burgers were nice. Staff were nice too. But the cold was too much.

Unfortunately, our burgers had a few problems. My chorizo wasn't cooked properly, and my daughters chicken in her burger half was ok. The other half of the chicken was so tough that she wasn't able to eat it A little less salt on the chips is definitely needed. I like salt, but it was way too much Other than that, it was fine, and under the circumstances, I would go back 👍🏾

I wasn’t going to post this but after ordering this for valentines I thought, hopefully this can deter someone else from ordering and experiencing such atrocity. Thank God for Uber eats because they also thought this was absolutely shocking and refunded my money immediately. I rather not write too much and allow the pictures to speak for itself….

To be honest never been to Honest Burgers before but it will definitely not be the last. Food was great, had the tribute burger with some rosemary fries that were crispy and perfectly seasoned. The staple of the evening was the service. The waiter I had was called Markus I think, he was polite, friendly and very helpful will be back again soon.

Food and service was great, but the toilets need significant attention.

This store in particular clearly can't handle the volume of takeaways via Uber Eats. Most of the times they have issues to get the food ready on time and the drivers cancel over and over until the order is completely cancelled after 2 hours waiting. If the order goes through, the quality is not the same as the other stores. On top of that, nobody picks up the phone. Do not recommend to order from here. They should not be available on Uber Eats.

My partner and I visited the weekend before last. The food and service were great. From the time our order was taken to the food being in front of us however was less than 10 minutes. As it was pretty busy, I suspect we got a meal that was either pre-made or a misfire. It was way to quick to be made to order. Still, it tasted great regardless. Staff were great 👍

Shocking delivery service - restaurant packed bag wrong (order on bag was correct, food wasn't) - then tried to blame it on uber, then refused to replace food, and were rude. Avoid.

What we liked: the commitment to local producers and sustainability. The options of burgers etc and vegetarian options. The staff were a little weary on a Sunday night but pleasant and quite efficient. The beer and cocktail were good too. What we thought needed to be better. Our food wasn’t very warm when it arrived. Putting it on cold enamel plates meant it cooled down really quickly and wasn’t very nice. No one came to check we were ok, but asked when we paid the bill.

My boyfriend and I tried Honest burger for the first time and it was fantastic! We ordered Smashed and onion rings, both were so tasty. Also good cost performance. Simple and delicious! If you couldn’t decide which one would you choose, I recommend Smashed! Good atmosphere, friendly staff :)

The clue is in the name. It's a burger restaurant. So you're coming for burgers and chips. You can choose how well you want your burger cooked, from medium rare to well done. There's also gluten free buns if you're coeliac. The rosemary fries are really good. So are the onion rings. Other sides include buffalo wings. Don't think I've had the gravy, because from how other people rave about it I should remember it. They have a range of drinks, including cocktails. The mint lemonade is ok.

Very good burger but not the good places

Honestly the WORST service I have ever received from a restaurant. Would not recommend to anyone and would never go back there, the staff were insanely rude and dismissive. We waited 45 minutes for food that never came, we were informed the staff were "checking" for our food but they never did, they laughed and walked off. Not one person apologised or explained why our food wasn't coming, all the staff were avoiding eye contact with us and just ignoring us. People that came into the restaurant AFTER us were getting their food before us. There were multiple bags of deliveroo orders and none being made for the customers in the actual restaurant. Disgustingly rude staff and terrible service. In particular a young brunette girl, middle aged blonde woman and girl with pink hair. Management needs sorting out. Multiple people walked out due to no food and lack of customer service. DO. BETTER!!!

Friendly staff and the best onion rings in the business

Overall quite disappointing. Service was great, got us a table straight away and both individuals on the waiting staff took good care of us but the food was pretty disappointing. £15 for a chicken burger that was almost nearing the size of a slider, even by London standards is a little ridiculous. The taste was good but if you go to many places and pay that amount for a burger and you will get a generous portion with a stacked burger but my oversight for not doing my research I guess.

After a long time, we finally tried eating at honest burger. Really friendly and helpful staff, the burgers are very good, but the rosemary fries are a big plus. The possibility of also having the gluten-free version of all the sandwiches is really convenient. Highly recommended.

Walked in and was showed to a table, hostest seemed lovely. I've never been to honest burger before so I was looking forward to a smash burger, but sadly it was a total let down, we had sat there for 15 mins, and no one had come to serve us, I walked up to the hostest and asked if we needed to come up to order she said no ill come to you. Another 15 mins later still no one, people had left and now a waitress was cleaning the table, another 2 parties came in, sat down and the hostess came along and took their order. We had sat there for a solid 30 mins with the parking on my car for an hour we hadn't got any where, we got up and left. Never have I felt so ashamed to be a customer. We sat there peacefully, and got completely ignored. Sadly it doesn't matter how good their burgers may be, but I will not be visiting any honest Burgers ever.

Cocktail list is a bit short but everything else was incredible. Highly highly recommend the buffalo wings.

We went to honest burgers and they asked us to wait 20 minutes for a table, once we got our table they told us they didn’t have any chicken burgers which was not convenient considering one of the people on our table could only eat Halal meat. As we order, they tell us they don’t have any gluten free buns either, when one of us has celiac. It would have been a lot more convenient if they had told us this information before they told us to wait 20 minutes and we could have gone to any of the many restaurants nearby. We ordered and, I had waited about 45 minutes for my order of a smash burger which just seemed to be forgotten about until reminded. The food was good but the service was horrible.

I've been a frequently visiting customer since 2018, making sure I visit Honest Burgers Greenwich when in the area. My rating back then would have been 5 stars - great service, substantial portions, good value for money. Things have changed since then for the worse. No more milkshakes because staff have to go upstairs to make them whilst the bar is downstairs. Portion sizes have dramatically been reduced whilst prices have gone up. The serving of fries is less than half what it used to be. Today my visit was the worst I've ever had...no plant based burgers in stock, and the food came out 70 minutes after sitting down. We were told it was due to a "ticketing issue". This delay only caused more chaos as our toddler and newborn were with us. I'll no longer be making trips to Greenwich to enjoy the food here. Its a shame they no longer work hard to do right thing by their customers...more dishonest than honest these days.

Great gluten free vegetarian options

I do like Honest Burgers, but I have to admit it’s not my first option to eat out. However, today I went to this branch and the Greenwich burger was out of this world — probably one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. Honest Burgers should definitely include it on their regular menu because it’s so so so good! Also, today was my first time trying their homemade lemonade, it was a great surprise as well. What a shame they don’t have the Greenwich burger at every branch.

Okay food, small portions; overpriced!! Not going again!

My order had to be sent back to the kitchen twice because it was not what I asked for. They remade my order but my friend had finished most of their food before mine arrived. The team didn’t have the drink I requested but it took 10 minutes to tell me this. When asked how the meal was I shared my feedback and the server voluntarily took 20% off the bill in recognition of the issues but left the 10% service on and didn’t remove the drink I never received. The food itself was tasty it’s just a shame about the communication issues between the serving staff and kitchen and the subsequent customer service. Other tables around me also had service issues, with one receiving a normal burger bun instead of gluten free and missing sides. Next time I’ll try the burger place opposite this one.

We arrived at noon to the busy restaurant, but there was room to seat us and we were so happy to have the privilege to sit and enjoy a hamburger and fries with a gluten-free bun. The bun was wonderful, the hamburger high quality and the chips - a little spicy for our taste but still very tasty. Reasonable prices, good service. Highly recommend!

Always a brilliant time at Honest Burgers- truly anything you order will always be delicious, but what blew my mind was the GRAVY! An absolute dream dipping the burger into the gravy- so flavourful and delish. The drinks were also lovely!

Think twice if you're ordering via Uber Eats and you're hungry. Ordered a kids burger for daughter as an end of week treat for her. As seen in photo, ordered just before 5:30pm and received just after 7pm after calling the restaurant to chase. Might not all be HB's fault as it wasn't a big order, probably more Uber Eats, but if you're ordering from them you'd expect it to be delivered within the estimated timeframe (was showing 40-55mins on the app when ordering). Food arrived cold and stale. Disappointed.

My star rating reflects that the fries were nice but not really how I like them. Burger was lovely - served “medium” (pink) and loved the BBQ sauce. Kindly served extra portion of fries as my friend pointed out a few black chips but I am aware many potatoes have issues at the present time due to water logged ground and so spuds are damaged. The extra fries were not asked for but offered for which we were grateful. Clearly very popular local restaurant as there was wave after wave of delivery driver pick ups so choose where you sit to avoid cold draught in winter evenings. Staff were polite & kind.
