The best fish and chips ever, we always order two large cod and one large chips - always excellent 👍

Have used this fish and chip shop frequently. However after todays visit would possibly never have a take away from there again.One portion was a regular fish and chips , the chips were not cooked all the way through so were hard and the fish was that greasy that when you picked it up fat was dripping out of it .It was basically drowning in fat.The second portion large fish and regular chips were equally as bad the fish looked as of it was reformed again soggy greasy batter under cooked chips .Totally tasteless mushy peas and flavourless watered down curry sauce. Majority of this food ended up in the bin and what we did eat made us feel poorly later. Can not understand how a piece of fish and a potato can be made to taste this bad.

Very nice service very nice fish and chips. Right next to the sandy beaches and the public toilets which are free to use most days of the week by the looks of things

Stopped off on our first evening walking back from the beach. The couple were very friendly and helpful and the food was freshly cooked to order, piping hot and delicious. Will certainly be returning

Not much to say. Lovely people, freshly cooked food which was very tasty and piping hot, you have a bit of a wait but it is so worth it.

While staying in Heacham we decided to have fish & chips from Heacham Fish Bar based on the reviews on here. We weren't disappointed. The fish is cooked to order.

Hot and fresh fish and chips. We had a large order that was prepared quickly without fuss. Our order included fish, chicken nuggets, chicken burger, battered sausage and lots of chips.

This place never disappoints,the fish is always on point and cooked to perfection,you should try there home made sweet and sour chicken balls they are lush,everything I've tried from there has always been good and lovely friendly staff,well worth the wait if its busy as you know your always getting quality fresh cooked food👍

Called in while on holiday in Heacham. Good size fish portions and batter was lovely and crispy and chips were gorgeous. Enjoyed them so much that went back again on Good Friday

Great local chippy family run , always takes the fish skin off for the children , always have a good happy person serving us . Scraps are always available which the kods love and fish is nice and fresh

Visited at lunch time. We were the only customers, everything was cooked to order. Good sized portions, the batter was fabulous, really crispy, as were the chips.

Tasty, well cooked chips and Haddock also- moist fish, crispy batter, very tasty! The restuarant was busy, but the wait was worth it, and the service, as always, is friendly and efficient.

Always have a chippy tea from here when we're at our place in Heacham - best of all of the chippies around - fabulous crispy batter and perfectly cooked chips.It can get very busy there - particularly Friday and Saturday evenings but you can avoid some of the wait by phoning your order in advance - even if you have to try a few times to get through it is well worth it!Highly recommended.

This is a lovely chippy only 3 allowed in but no problem standing outside.I knew it would be good because the locals are using it.We went back a couple of days later and the owner remembered us and wished us all the best for our holiday.

If you come to the sea side, you've got to have fish and chips and this is a great friendly place to get them from. The food was well cooked and hot. The portion of chicken I ordered was nice a moist, and the mushy peas were very tasty.

Best Fish and Chips around both Heacham and Hunstanton. Fish freshly cooked. Always a friendly service. Suggest phoning ahead to order particularly in the evenings as they get very busy. Expect a short wait for your freshly cooked fish to come out of the fryer.

One of the cleanest fish and chips shops we've visited.Beautiful cod in batter. Fish and oil very fresh. Massive amount of chips.Only comment : sparse with salt, despite asked for extra (bad for us, we know), but that has nothing to do with the excellent quality they deliver.

We visited Heacham Fish bar during our recent stay at Heacham Beech. We enjoyed our meal the fish well cooked with nice flakes of cod. The chips were also well cooked not pale and under cooked like some shops. We will definitely visit again and recommend.

Very Nice fish and chips, friendly owners. When we were there it was CASH only so bear this in mind. There is a cash machine round the corner at Tesco's. It is all made fresh to order, so expect a wait but it was not that long. It opened from 4pm when we were there not 4:45pm like the pictures said and you could call in telephone orders to save you some time.

We had haddock and chips and fish and chips. Given the COVID-19 restrictions, the whole process is quite lengthy as you need to phone in your order (we didn't) or give it in store, pay and then wait for the food to be cooked, waiting outside in a line on the pavement. However the food was worth the wait. Good traditional fish and chips. The chips were excellent, the sausage was also very good, the haddock was also nice but a little overcooked. Given how busy they were, it understandable that the odd minor mistake was being made.

Really tasty food, good portion size at a good price. We thoroughly enjoyed our food after a 10 minute wait due to how busy they were.

It was getting near sunset, so I ordered a battered sausage & chips to eat on the prom watching the sun go down. The staff were very friendly and my food came quickly.

My Visit today was an embarrassment for health and safety of customers, we where told to stand in the road where social distancing was impossible because the neighbours on the street do not like you standing on the pavement outside there house. No mask no problem said the young man in a high visibility jacket telling people to try and avoid the traffic while you wait for your phone ordered food that you still have to wait half an hour for after the allotted time.Someone will get hurt or worse waiting on that road.

Very good fish and chips, the sign in the window says you can ring your order through then pick it up when ready, but they really do need to give out menus, also its cash only

You won't find a better Fish 'n Chip shop in the area, where they cook everything fresh to order. Only complaint would be that the fish could do with being a bit bigger for the money.The couple who own the business are such lovely people.TRY IT!!

Not much to say except that the fish and chips are the best we have had in Norfolk, the owners are lovely and the service is great. We are lucky to live in their street!

This is a good place to go for traditional fish and chips. Their produce is really the best. I personally was a fish fryer for nigh on 40 years in a very well known shop in Northamptonshire. So I know my stuff and these are the best. Thanks Linda and Wey. See you again very soon.

30 min wait for a small fish, large and small chips, beans and a sausage. Came to £10.45.Locals came in after me with larger orders and were served a good 10 mins before me.When my food was finally bagged up, another local came in (who had previously called to order), she got served as priority, had to pay and wait for hers to be bagged up etc. I then got called over to collect my food that was sat behind the counter. To me that is piss poor and I won't return purely for this reason.Attached is a picture of a 'large' portion of chips that cost £2.50.... Make your own mind up and don't believe all the beaming reviews.

Having read reviews we decided we had to give it a try. Had lovely fresh fish and chips with the best curry sauce! Well worth a visit.

We both had a massive piece of haddock cooked to order. It was so good and worth waiting for. Only needed one large portion of chips between two. Highly recommended

Stopped by here Friday 27th September as we was staying in Heacham for the weekend. Very nice Fish & Chips Huge portions too. Mushy peas, Large Fish & Chips for 5 Adults & cod bites for my 4 year old cost under £45. Perhaps if you’re placing a large order it might be worth while phoning ahead as everything is cooked fresh to order.

I was pleasantly surprised by how good the fish and chips were from here. The fish was a massive fillet of WHALE and the chips were well cooked! I don't say these words lightly (as Ive been HIGHLY critical of the quality of fish and chips in the country and HUGELY disappointed far to many times in the past) but today wasn't one of those disappointing days! :)We also had battered sausages and they were tasty (I mean honestly, you could feel the pounds going on by just looking at these bad boys!!).So yeah, surprisingly good fish and chips (and sausages!).

Clearly an incredibly popular place - and for good reason too! Absolutely delicious fish and chips. My partner is vegan and had brought along her ready meal with her, as the place we were staying at didn't have a microwave - they very kindly heated it up for her, no questions asked and with a smile! Would definitely recommend, both for the food and the service! We'll be back!

I'm very fussy about my fish and chips, it has to be perfect with golden crispy batter and not overcooked fish. This was good but not perfect as the batter was far too thick and the fish was a bit overcooked, making it dry. Nice chips.

We ordered the three types of fish on offer; plaice, haddock, and cod. They were all cooked to order. The fish tasted fresh, the batter was crisp but the fillets were rather thin. The chips were over cooked but the home made curry sauce was nice. One of our daughters ordered a chicken and mushroom pie but was disappointed to find it had not been included with the order when we arrived home. We have had better at our local chippy.

Couldn't believe how reasonable the prices were. We had a jumbo sausage, sweet & sour chicken balls and large chips. The total came to just over £8. The food was good quality and the ladies who served us were friendly and polite. We asked for our food to be 'open' so we could eat it straightaway. Rather than trying to eat out of paper, we were given polystyrene containers, which was so much easier. Thank you for a lovely takeaway.

First time of visiting here as on holiday. Haddock was freshly cooked. Chips were lovely & hot. Only downside was we found the batter on the haddock a little thick though the fish itself was chunky & full of flavour. If we're in the area again we'll defo use again

We used this take away while staying in the nearby campsite. Recommended and didn't disappoint. Food cooked to order and both fish and chips were excellent value.

Went here twice during our stay in Heacham, the best fish n chips we've had in a long while, try it you won't be disappointed.

Used this takeaway whilst on holiday. Friendly, clean and the food is scrummy, my husband enjoyed the food so much that he had to try the plaice, cod and the haddock, I had the haddock three times, that's our years allowance for fish and chips used up...… but it was worth it.

Tried all the fish and chip shops in the area and myself and my wife rate this shop the best ! The fish and chips are always freshly cooked, only down side is finding a parking spot

We were staying Heacham so I checked the reviews first and all seemed OK. All I can say is I must have caught them on a bad day. Ordered haddock and when I got home and started to eat it discovered it had been cooked with the skin on. To remove it meant being unable to eat any of the batter which is my favourite bit. I have never had fish from a Chippy cooked like this. In addition the fish was very thin and was nothing like any haddock I have seen before.

Visited Thursday evening about 4.30. Three people waiting and no fish on counter, but then realised everything was cooked to order. Only had to wait about 20 minutes, but well worth the wait. Even though we were about 10 minutes away in the car, everything was still piping hot when we got back to caravan.

Ordered cod, chips, scampi, spring rolls, battered sausage and an impromptu sweet and sour chicken. Okay so......cod and chips were really nice, sausage and scampi okay, spring rolls were awesome and wasn’t going for sweet and sour chicken but got it and it was lush!! Great takeaway, quick on orders, food of the highest qualify and really nice staff. Highly recommend.

In a visit to Heacham, we have never tried this place but we definitely will again. All food cooked fresh, not expensive and yummy!

this appears to be a family run business - it is small but clean and tidy - food is generally cooked to order - I have not had a bad meal yet

This place is a little gem. The food is FAB and all cooked fresh, so you need to wait when it is busy. But the wait is well worth it!

Ok, so I visited at a busy time, but 1/2 hour wait for a portion of chips is a joke! I would have happily waited if it was a big order.

Beautiful white, tender cod and freshly cooked chips. We would definitely recommend a detour to Heacham to find the Fish Bar!

OK... so yes this little gem of a fish and chip shop is tiny. The parking is difficult for one reason and one reason only.... it is so popular because it's so good. A great find for holiday makers like us and a regular for the locals. There is an old adage if the locals eat there then you know it's going to be good. If you're willing to park a little bit away from the shop and walk in and you don't mind waiting for freshly cooked excellent food then this is the place. We had a large cod, plaice (batter light and crispy), and a veggie burger all with chips all yummy!

This small fish and chip shop is situated at the beginning of Heacham High Street, at busy times parking could be difficult. The Food is cooked to order and your place the order as you enter the shop, this does meand that at busy times there coukd be a wait of up to 20 minutes but the wait is worth it. The fish is perfectly cooked in a light batter, portion sizes are generous and there is a good number of traditional foods on the menu. If you want to avoid queuing for too long then you can phone your order through, however due to the busy shop you will have to be patient when calling as they may take a time to answer.

We arrived close to closing time to order fish and chips but they didn't complain and happily took our order and made the food fresh. The fish was beautiful and the batter light, the chips were good and the kids meal was a huge portion. We will definitely return on our next trip to the seaside!

This is a family run fish and chip shop and not only is the food above the norm but the owners and staff are so friendly always a smile. We had 1-Haddock and 2-Battered Sausages + a large portion of chips to take away, they were still hot after taking them home 10 mins away. The fish was done to perfection as was the sausages and the chips come straight out of the fryer and after draining were put into our bag so were piping hot. A very good meal for under £7.00, will be going again.

The smallest fish and chips portion I have ever had, You would think being near the coast you would get a decent size fish but we got tiny tiddlers. Not even thick, small and thin. Not even tasty. Go somewhere else.

We often stay in the Hunstanton area, and if we choose fish and chips, it has to be Heacham Fish Bar serving the freshest of fish and its not greasy like some. i have a problem eating fried food but at this fish shop I have never suffered following eating a take away. Thoroughly recommend. we did a bulk order for a large group of friends family, and everyone had a nice hot meal with no complaints about the food, only complements.

There's only so much you can say about fish and chips but they were fresh and tasty. We were on holiday and staying in Heacham so it was convenient to use here and it didn't disappoint. Would recommend. We had the haddock.

What do you do when you're at the seaside, you have a chippy tea! And it was delicious!! The chips were perfectly cooked, the scampi was lovely and the homemade curry sauce was honestly the best I've ever had! A meal very much enjoyed!

Were staying in a cottage opposite this place, so thought we'd give it a try while we were down here in Norfolk. Gosh, the fish was so mouth watering due to them keeping the skin on the cod which gives it an amazing taste!! Totally worth a visit if you're ever down here.

Heard a lot about this chip shop, have to say the fish was lovely, chips appeared a little undercooked. But good value for money.

Really nice fish and chips, however asked for them with salt and vinegar and then they asked if we wanted salt and vinegar which we confirmed but when we had taken our wrapped Fish and chips to the beach - there was no salt or vinegar on either! Shame because these were some of the nicest fish and chips I have had. With the salt and vinegar they may have been one of the best !! Also it would be great if napkins were provided in the bag as with most other places when you buy wrapped ones so remember your own.

One of the best Fish and Chip shops in West Norfolk in my opinion. Always guaranteed service with a smile too. As others have said, be prepared to wait as everything is cooked to order. Portions are a tad on the small size so bigger eaters may want to 'upsize'.Highly recommend the Half Pound cheeseburger !

First night of the holidays and we decided to have fish and chips from this outlet local to where we are stopping. Not used to food being cooked to order and after myself 8/9 people came in. My order wasn't started until everyone's order had been written down. I am used to going into a fish and chip shop where lots of fish and chips are cooked waiting for customer to buy. After an age I was served with my order. When I got it home both me and the wife were terribly disappointed. The fish had lots of bones in it and the chips were severely undercooked. We couldn't eat what we'd bought and had to settle for a crisp sandwich. Very disappointing especially at over £7 a portion
