Haytor Hotel in Torbay

We have just returned after a one night stay at the Haytor Hotel. We couldn't have been more impressed. The hotel is beautiful and so are the stunning gardens. We found the hotel to be spotlessly clean and maintained beautifully. It has a great relaxing atmosphere, just what we needed. The hosts John and Jane were so welcoming and friendly making sure we had everything we needed for a great stay, which we did. Tea and cake was a lovely touch on arrival. Breakfast was amazing, a huge selection was available and cooked to order, fresh and piping hot and super delicious. Would 100% recommend this hotel and if we ever visit Torquay again the Haytor would be the hotel of choice. Thank you John and Jane, a fantastic hotel with fantastic hosts.

Stunning hotel,this was are 2nd time here and i don’t usually go back to the same hotel! However we will keep coming back here. John and Jane are amazing at what they do. Breakfast is the best we have had and the rooms are absolutely stunning.we absolutely will be back

What a fantastic stay we had very impressive. Jane & John were the perfect hosts & made us feel very welcome. Coffee & cake on arrival which was just perfect. Our room was tastefully decorated lovely furniture bedding & plush carpets throughout. En suite also good & cleaned to a high standard. Full english breakfast served by John & cooked by Jane with a large selection of alternatives to choose from on the menu. Good parking & location. We would like to stay again with John & Jane & would highly recommend this hotel to others. Thank you to you both. De & Neil. 🤗

Great hotel: fantastic decor, lovely building, great breakfast and most importantly lovely hosts. Would definitely come again! Short walk down to the harbour and restaurants.

Thank you Jane & John for making our short visit to Torquay so enjoyable. You have the most lovely Hotel and the way you looked after us made us really feel at home. Check out the website you will see that the hotel is the absolute perfect getaway, with beautiful interiors and set within lush mature gardens and all within walking distance of some really lovely restaurants and the nearby Torquay Marina. We will certainly be back for so many reasons, but just to go back for the amazing breakfasts using local ingredients would be enough. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts and it was clear that they take great pride in giving the best experience they can for their guests. If you want a great value for money stay in Torquay with hosts that really look after you, look no further. E & L.

Wow! What an amazing little gem. My husband very kindly surprised me with a trip to Torquay to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We were greeted like old friends right from when we first arrived, with offers of cups of tea or coffee and asking how our journey had been. Our room was just beautiful with views of the sea too. Everything was spotless and they had very kindly made sure that they had catered for me as I am vegan. 🌱 They even came and wished us Happy Anniversary with some chocolate truffles for my husband and a few vegan cupcakes for me. Can not recommend enough and will definitely be returning as soon as we can.

Just returned from a 4 night stay as usual everthing was just perfect .Jane and John the owners really make all there guests very welcome through out your stay nothing is a problem for them .even when you arrive the first thing on there minds is do you want a coffee or tea plus if your lucky you can have lemon drizzle cake .the hotel is ideally situated for easy access to the harbour and all bars and eateries. Your included breakfast will set you up for the whole day such a great choice .rooms are excellent in great decorative order .we had a newly decorated room we just said WOW .there is a small bar plus free parking.and if your case is a bit heavy john is always willing to help you .ps we have been 4 times and other guests return many times because of the excellent owners and fantastic hotel . Keep the lemon drizzle coming will be back later in the year

We have recently returned from our holiday at the Haytor Hotel and from the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome by John and Jane who are wonderful hosts. Our suite was perfect and had everything we could wish for to make our stay special. Breakfast was superb - a good selection of choices but the full English breakfast was definitely the star of the show. The location is really convenient - a short walk to the harbour, bus stops etc. We would definitely recommend this hotel and will definitely return.
