they make incredible weak coffee - flavoured water. This is often the problem when one drinks black coffee the taste cannot be disguised

We also pop into the cafe after we have been to the library, it's always exceptionally clean with a varied of homemade cakes, sandwiches and savouries. Small, not many seats of tables but they do have outside space if the weather is nice. Reasonable prices also and you will get great service.

This cafe is situated in the library and although small is just superb and the staff are just lovely. Good choice of food, tasty and well presented and the costs are very reasonable. I think this is well worth a visit.

Very friendly staff. Very accessible. Freshly prepped food. Part of the Harridge Library Complex, also provides catering for the complex. Great standard food, lots of on site baked treats, good value for money

We called today 8th January 2018 to Hayridge Cafe - we ordered two jacket potatoes, whilst waiting for our food - I saw the assistant remove our 2 spuds from the microwave. One fell on the floor - the other assistant then bent down to pick it up and gave it to her colleague to prepare for our fillings. When it was bought to our table - I asked if my potato had been dropped on the floor - her reply was - YES BUT IT WON'T HURT. I did try and eat it but quite honestly I didn't fancy it - after being on the floor. Sorry but although the girls were pleasant - I won't be returning for food.

Popped in for a light lunch. Had a couple of baked potatoes and tea. Really nice setting and food was delicious, plus nice service from the young lady working there. Happy to recommend and great to see this is a part of the local library.

Called in to library to activate my new library card and decided to try their cafe. We had two lovely jacket potatoes and a drink all for £12.00. Really good service and enjoyed our meal. Helpful and friendly staff in both the library and cafe. We will call again.

Having been in here on an odd occasion I have to say it's another case of a lovely resource with an below average cafe. The Hayridge is a fantastic new library / meeting space but the coffee is attrocius bean to cup machine , the food appears to be prepacked by Devon Norse who also provide catering services to other council run properties . The only saving grace is some of the cakes are home baked on the premises. There are much better places to eat in Cullompton for sure.

This unassuming little cafe is hidden away behind the library in a modern building at the end of the high street. Sparkling clean, quiet and welcoming, light and airy. Lots of outside seating, too. The menu is simple (home made soup, panninis, jacket potatoes etc) but well presented. Service was quick and the staff were welcoming.

Keepers Cottage never fails to impress, especially when it comes to comfort food. Their steak and ale pie is a standout—packed with tender meat, rich gravy, and a perfectly flaky crust. The portions are always generous, and the sides are just as satisfying. It’s a place that consistently delivers on flavour, making it easy to see why it was such a favourite of mine when I lived nearby. Definitely a spot worth revisiting!

Quite hard to rate this tbh. Despite the lowest rating I would stay again. The pub itself is excellent with excellent well kept ale and a nice atmosphere. The accommodation was a little more hit and miss. The room itself was absolutely fine, warm a good size and we were shown how to use the thermostat. Lights were subtle and pleasant though one side light didn't work, but equally it is cheap and affordable. Not enough towels provided, but on request we got more of these. No coffee in the shared kitchen and the WiFi was patchy to say the least. The boiler makes a low humming at night, so if like me these things bother you, worth investing in earplugs, but it didn't bother the rest of the family. However these are all fairly minor details and not something which bothers me overly with cheaper accommodation like this. The main issue was being locked out of the rooms on the evening of Christmas day alongside the other residents staying at the same time. That was pretty poor, but we did get it rectified fairly quickly; within about 45 minutes, it did help having local connections here as the other residents had been waiting an additional 30 minutes at least and had no such luck. Tbh makes an amusing story at least.
