Amazing visit to Haworth Old Hall, we went for lunch and the food was incredible. More importantly we were looked after by Andrea who was amazing. Would definitely recommend!

Lovely atmosphere in this pub. Had a great birthday meal. Staff were really friendly and efficient. Thankyou ! Just found drinks expensive.

We needed a venue with character and good food that could handle 20 people for a 40th work anniversary - the Old Hall delivered on all points and we had a great evening.

I have never left a review but we had such an amazing experience, I felt the need to come on and leave one. The staff make this place. A special mention to Emma and Gemma who are bubbly and charismatic. A credit to your establishment. We had the gammon and steak Americano and wow, the 30% discount topped it off nicely. Keep up the good work.

We pre booked this pub for a meal having never been to Howarth before. Great location and easy to find. Staff really friendly. Beautiful n clean. Food is amazing and served promptly. Would definitely go again.

Stayed here three days for a family reunion on July 8th. The proprietor and staff made all eighteen of us feel very welcome. The food, drinks, service and atmosphere were excellent. Cannot praise Haworth Old Hall highly enough. Thank you.

Great food excellent staff and service but nearly £9 for a glass of wine. Come on how can you justify this it spoils what was an enjoyable meal.

The old hall Haworth was recommended to us so we popped in Friday 28th around 7.30 pm , it was quite full but will who is apparently the manager found us a table . Our waitress was Kirsty she was an excellent member of staff made us very welcome couldn't do enough for us was very informative regarding the menu and helpful as I have high cholesterol and pointed out items for my attention. The food I had tikka masala curry which was delicious my partner had the chicken in bacon special very delicious food . I highly recommend this place , it may be slightly high end but it's well worth it . Fabulous food and helpful pleasant staff ( Kirsty and will) makes the dining experience 100% will definitely be returning here next time I'm in Haworth.

a most beautiful setting, great company with my daughter and son in law, i did work in the kitchen here previously so i know the quality of the food and produce, we had a bowl of olives to share while we chose our tea from a good choice menu, all was perfect and a joyful evening we had

Very busy pub, but can't fault service or friendliness of the staff. We had 2 large dogs and they couldn't be more helpful to find us a table where we could tuck the dogs away. We were there for Sunday lunch which was busy. Food was excellent with a huge Yorkshire and lots of veg. We enjoyed sitting outside on the 2 seaters watching the world go by. Highly recommend.

What a shame.. for once decided instead of going for the good food, we thought we would go for gins and cocktails at 3.30 pm. The pub had a few guests in finishing off their lunch and it was quiet, but we when sat down near the open fire on an empty table, we were told by the waitress not to sit there and go into the back in the empty room where two staff were eating on their lunch break. I asked why we all couldn’t sit there, she replied I have to set the table for tea, I pointed out it was half three..but no we couldn’t sit there.. poor customer service to day the least"

Absolutely wonderful staff service, both members of staff that were working when we dined, (the manager I assume? and the waitress who served us, eve) were amazing. Offered us the best of service, both me and my friend felt so welcomed and will definitetlly come back. We asked for recommendations on which pies to order and the choice was definitely a good one. Atmosphere was astounding, recommend howarth old hall 👍dessert was beautiful too

This was one of the first places we visited when we arrived in Haworth, as it was lunchtime. The waitress was very attentive but careful not to crowd us. When she found out I was a coeliac, she produced a separate and comprehensive menu. We were so impressed that we returned tonight for a meal. Amazing service again! The food and choices are really good and we left very satisfied.

We visited the Old Hall the day before Mother's Day which was our first time visiting and had previously booked a table for Mother's Day. We received a warm welcome when we opened the oak door. We were shown where we would be sitting the following day with our dog. The building and interior is very impressive with huge open fireplaces. The meals and desserts were delicious and a great choice of dishes even though it was a Sunday. The staff were very friendly and there was a relaxed atmosphere. We were served fairly quickly by someone who when I asked was the manager. Very impressed with the quality of food and presentation by the chef(s) and the efficiency of staff on what was a very busy Mother's Day.

Fantastic well run establishment. The manager Will is an excellent host and is very friendly and polite and helpful and has that old school smart dressed Landlord aura and customer adaptation. The waitress Kirsty is probably one of the the best ever smiling and friendly and enthusiastic and passionate table service I have seen on a long time. She is a credit to the place. Food was bang on, tasty, fresh and delicious with perfectly prepared and presented. Cannot fault. All our party of 6 were treated like VIPs. David behind the bar and the bar manager (blonde hair lady) were the usual happy and warming welcome hosts. Diamond place and service. Compliments to the kitchen chefs and staff too. 👍👍👍👌💪

Haworth hall is a nice stay for a getaway, plenty to do in the area, only downfall is they do not do breakfast, saying that there are lots of little cafes in the immediate area.

Had a lovely meal last night. Staff where so friendly and food awesome. But at far end of bar some silly woman had a dog that barked all night. Three tables close to me actually left because they could not stand it any longer. If you are going to allow dogs they must be well behaved. It was the dog owners fault last night.She was so busy chatting to notice her dig was annoying everyone.

Great place but couldn't eat ,the pub was empty but people with tokens had reserved all the seats which spoilt it for us which was a shame

Went here in the past and food was great. Unfortunately we went for lunch today and the quality of food has gone down hill I’m afraid. When a place can’t be bothered to make homemade chips, you know it’s not going to be good. More like a Wetherspoons now but pricier which is a real shame. Service was good, however.

This place used to be great. Now taken over by a big company, the food is poor but the staff are fine. Won't be going back until it changes hands again.

Visited here on Sunday for our 2nd wedding anniversary..... it was amazing! Both myself and my hubby are foodies and wanted a proper Sunday roast while in the area.... we had initially tried to book a table at the Hawthorn (which was fully booked).... however,...

We ate here for the first time recently. Service and surroundings were lovely. I had a prawn cocktail (you can’t beat a good prawn cocktail lol) and followed this with a ribeye and peppercorn sauce. Both courses were very nice. Even better with a 30%...

The Old Hall is a great place to eat or drink. Still retaining a great atmosphere and historic feel, made more welcoming with the attention of Emma, the assistant manager, who is both welcoming and helpful, making our few brief visits a more pleasant experience....

Amazing, warm, friendly & great food..there are limited dog friendly tables, if you have a pooch and are one of the lucky three groups to get a table, there is a special menu for the four legged one, and great selection for the humans too. Steak was best I’ve had in long time, nachos were great too! Great atmosphere, prompt service and clean toilets. Strongly recommended.

Booked a table for 3 for 7.45 on a Wednesday night only to be told once we got to the table that it would be at least an hour before we would get our starters Apparently there was no problem in the kitchen other than they'd been greedy an allowed too many walk in customers at the expense of their regular booked customers.

Easy to book on the website and glad we did as on a Sunday night, it was packed. Also glad we got in before 1800 as it was even busier when we left. Food was tasty and plentiful, well presented and the menu was varied. Outstanding for the amount of choice on the gluten free menu. Swrvice was prompt and polite. Would recommend.

Brilliant would recommend anyone to come here! Staff were fab, especially our waitress Beth who helped us with any questions we had about the menu. 10/10 will be eating here again! Portion sizes were a little too much for me but rather that then not enough!

We went for a spot of lunch after taking the afternoon off of work. We didn't want much but thought a little sit down bite would be perfect.Firstly, the venue is stunning, with plentiful parking, easy access, tonnes of outdoor seating and a range of indoor tables. We were greeted by an incredibly friendly staff member who said we could choose any seat we wanted. Social anxiety got the better of me and I asked her to choose and we were seated in a lovely spot between the 2 rooms.We ordered from the sandwich menu which has a great selection. Selecting the Fish and a Bacon, Brie and Cranberry. I also upgraded to the Hand cut chips. The food was exceptional, you get an absolute mountain of chips and a slab of sandwich. Honestly, the portions were far in excess of what I hoped for it makes the price actually really good value for money. £25.00 for 2 sandwiches, upgraded chis and 2 teas is a very good price. I didn't need to eat tea, which is a rarity.When we were leaving the staff made friendly conversation, asking about the food, the rest of our day, what we were up to . It just tied the whole experience together in a lovely bow and told you that they were genuinely interested in their visitors.I cannot wait to go back already.

Lovely little pub! The room we stayed in for 4 nights was lovely and well kept and clean! The food and service was great and the staff were super friendly and obliging! Always helpful with advice on things to do in the local surrounding areas too. Does get a little loud at night but it’s a pub so can’t expect it to be quiet! Will most definitely stay here again!!! And Haworth is just stunning and steeped in so much history!Lucy and MattXxx

We waited over an hour with a 9 and 4 year old all starving food was overpriced and u Dee standard, we were offered nothing for the long wait and inconvenience, we asked for a specific table that had more room and was told it was reserved, no one sat at this table it stayed empty while we were squashed in a corner very very bad customer service will not be going back.

We had a great meal here on our first night of our stay in Haworth which as a town we loved. The service was great the server extremely friendly and chatty and we both had the Cod which was excellent. Also great value

We had very good food and service. The Vish cakes were amazing as a vegan option made from Banana Blossom which is a rare vegetable here in the UK. Wil return and highly recommended

As a local resident, I’ve been to the Haworth Old Hall many times and always enjoy food & drink. Today the waitress came over with a dog meal which had been left over from another table (random, I know!). She offered it to our dog but we politely refused (our dog is raw fed and had already been fed). Without thinking any more about it, I went to the bar and ordered our meals only to overhear the waitress referring to me as “a dickh*ad” because I didn’t want the dog meal for our dog! A little shocked, I apologised for being “a dickh*ad” and explained the dog’s restrictive diet. A little put off to return it I’m honest…there’s loads of other lovely drinking establishments I’ll prioritise in future .

Food is solid pub style food, but generous portion sizes, and great to find gluten free choices so well catered for. The fish sandwiches are a highlight and great value. Good to find a pub serving ‘alcohol free’ spirits…but disappointing that the prices are the same as standard gins…this just seems wrong when ‘duty’is meant to be the main percentage of cost for drinks! However, as somebody who is unable to drink alcohol it is nice to have the choice,even if it is a bit pricey.

The food was average but the service was really bad. The staff ignored me when I tried to catch their eye on many occasions (yes they did see me) and so I had to raise my voice to actually get them to come over. Weirdly they weren't the same with all customers which made it even worse.

We had the pleasure of staying at Haworth Old Hall for two nights over the August Bank Holiday weekend. The hotel is within a 5-10 min walk of both the The Bronte Parsonage Museum and the Worth Valley Steam Railway making it well located for sightseeing. But the jewel in the hotels crown is the dedicated, friendly and helpful staff. Despite being very busy all the staff we met took the time to make us feel really welcome and couldn’t have done more to facilitate a restful and enjoyable stay. We would certainly recommend the hotel not only for its exceptional customer service but also for a convenient base to explore the area on foot.

Visited with a party of eight, really nice restaurant, but while some dishes were excellent, those of us who picked the Old Hall burger and the 1621 burger felt very let down, particularly as the 1621 burger is a special option this year to celebrate the hall's 400th anniversary. Burgers were overcooked and with minimal secondary ingredients. By contrast the lamb kleftiko was excellent as were some other dishes.

We went in on spec and the young manager was extremely helpful and accommodated us even though the restaurant was due to be busy.He was extremely polite helpful and friendly. Food was ordered and was hot and delicious on arrival. I watched as the place got really busy and the staff took everything in their stride and treated everyone with individual attention. Could not have asked for more. Definitely recommend however remember to book!

Our visit was for an evening birthday meal, as we were staying in the locality. Good menu selection & large portions; great table service. I should add though, that the ladies loo's could have done with a bit more attention as they weren't particularly clean, although to be fair, they were very busy the evening we visited.

What a lovely experience, we stopped for lunch and both the staff and the food couldn't have been better, if you are visiting Haworth I urge you visit.

Had a very pleasant stay in room 1 for one night. The room was large, with a comfortable bed. We weren't disturbed at all by any noise from the bar. All staff were friendly. Breakfast is preselected the night before with the option of in your room, or in the dinning area, we chose the dining area option and where served by the lovely chef with a perfect full English which set us up for the day.Food in the evening was lovely, tho the portion sizes are large but good value

After all the wonderful weather we had had, on the 30th July My husband & I arrived on our mobility scooters looking like two drowned rats. On entering the Hall we were greeted by a member of staff who was so kind, helpful and most important made us feel so welcome and at home. The food was excellent, good value for money.If we are fortunate enough to visit Haworth again our first stop will most certainly be Haworth Old Hall. Thank you to all members of staff for a great meal, lovely welcoming staff and we wish you all the very best.

We ate here during a visit to Haworth. The menu was varied and the gluten free options were good. One point I would make is that the portions were huge, we ate here after walking to Top Withens and having deliberately missed lunch so we would have an appetite and still couldn't finish. I had the vegetable curry which was really tasty but with lentils in the curry, plus rice, bhaji and naan bread the meal was just too much.

Booked this place to eat during a weekend visit. The place is characterful and the staff were friendly and helpful. We had three courses of excellent quality food. The old hall steak pie was stuffed full of yummy steak chucks and it was a huge portion. We would definitely go again.

We came for a late dinner on a hot day and sat out in the beer garden. Really nice atmosphere, would of been better if there was music playing. A man outside made fresh pizza to order which was delish. Only problem was one of our party ordered pizza which came out in 10mins and the rest came out in 30mins by which time the pizza was long gone! Staff friendly but a bit inattentive, mains plates were not taken away for a while until our deserts arrived despite staff coming to and from the table for orders etc. Food was yummy, well presented and hot, fresh produce. One mistake with the coffee when asked for whiskey separate, but was taken away and replaced fairly quickly. Overall I would definitely recommend and come back. Shame the quiz wasn’t on.

I had a fantastic week here on a writing retreat - everyone was super-friendly and helpful, no matter how busy they were. The hall itself is stunning and very inspiring, with original architectural features, and I was still spotting new points of interest as I left! The room was very comfortable, and the space maximised with care and thought. I slept extremely well (rare!), and made great use of the table (a decent size, and an homage to Jane Eyre to boot!) with comfortable chairs - also rare!The food was delicious, great quality, plentiful and good value - service was also great despite the challenges of being extremely busy and under covid restrictions. I'm already looking forward to going back! Thank you all :)

My partner and I visited the Old Hall in Howarth in July 2021.The pub is centrally located and has ample parking around it.Service, was on our visit a bit patchy although it should be noted that this is during covid restrictions and its table service plus it was a hot summer evening so the pub was busy however the predominantly young staff did seem more intentent on talking to their friends and relatives and servicing tables appeared secondary which maybe why it took round 35 minutes for our orders to be taken, in hindsight I wished they wern't.Undercooked and cold vegetables  paired with overcooked and dry kleftiko lacking any sauce/gravy for me and for partner over cooked steak,when asked for rare which couldn't even be cut it was that tough and cold chips, couple this with a soft drink and mostly ice Aperol and there's little change from £50.Asked the waiter who I should take my concerns to and he said he'd tell the manager and then he promptly sat down and started chatting to his brother and mates again gave up after 10 minutes as life is just too shortA memorable experience for all the wrong reasons I'm afraid and one I won't be repeating and would urge caution for others considering sitting in a car park for poor service and worse food.

Friendly and welcoming staff with a good, varied menu. Steak and blue cheese sandwich was delicious and portion size was large. It tasted so nice though that I was determined to eat every bit of it! Beer choices were good and drink options plentiful. All the staff were interested in their customers which made you feel like guests, not customers.

Popped in after a long afternoon walking and sightseeing. Staff had a very warm welcome for us and our dog. We were advised of the offers on and the food was outstanding. Lovely atmosphere and would definitely visit again.

I risked my first indoor meal for this?Oh dear. We wanted to dine outside as we haven’t risked dining indoors since last year but the unpredictable Yorkshire weather urged us inside.Wanted to order the Vishcakes (vegan ‘fish cakes’ made with banana blossom) - one of the main reasons we decided to give this place a try. Of course, when it came to ordering we were told they didn’t have them. Ordered the vegan burger instead and upgraded from fries to hand cut chips.We waited nearly 40 minutes for our food to arrive. This was on a Monday after 1pm, and we were not advised there would be a delay. The staff did seem stressed.Burger was mediocre at best. Hand cut chips had clearly been pre-cooked and reheated, with most soggy and lots of small, overcooked, crunchy pieces. Coleslaw was bland and soggy.We do not recommend this venue.

Given current restrictions, it is difficult to judge a pub where you are seated outside. Service was warm and friendly, but the price for two drinks was outrageous.

Booked a table but arrived early , no problem in getting a table as it was empty inside . A good menu with plenty of choices . I ordered the 12oz Sirloin with Prawns (Surf and Turf) . My partner ordered the Lamb Kleftico with dophinoisse potatoes . Our plates arrived within 10 minutes which surprised us . My partners potatoes turned out to be undercooked and raw chips . My prawns were cold and only six small ones for the extra £4 . Fatty steak and cold cooked chips plus a couple of tired lettuce leaf. Altogether with two lagers Bill came to £47 that was minus the chips which we complained about . Was a long time ago I last went here and will definitely be another long time before we go again !

Booked here for an evening meal on Sunday night after the pub had been serving meals all day. The standard had not dropped, the food was excellent as was the choice. Will happily return here when in the area.

We had 2 meals here as we enjoyed the first so much he he we went back the night after food was delicious service was brilliant we sat out side as the weather was lovely and sunny the young staff was pleasant and chatty and nothing to much trouble cant wait to return

Lamb kleftico fell of the bone and was delicious. The Mediterranean vegetables went well with the dish. The steak and ale pie was good. I had steak very good.

The staff were inattentive and unfriendly. Took an hour to have our order taken and an hour and 45 mins before the main courses arrived, which was surprising as it was not extremely busy and was a midweek evening. It was a 21st birthday celebration so very disappointing. We will not be returning.

Hoping to experience a repeat of a wonderful meal a few years ago. Disappointing food this time but excellent service, appreciate its the first weekend of opening since lockdown.Little problem with a starter, really delicious whipped feta until came across a hair. Put right immediately by staff who couldn't be more apologetic. Thank you. However careful, this does happen very occasionally.Unfortunately, the main course was a huge disappointment. We both had the beef shortrib, having enjoyed similar on our last visit. However, not as described on the menu, tasteless and fatty rib. Gravy had no flavour whatsoever. Mashed potatoes were luke warm, no seasoning, no butter or milk and lumpy. No parsnips, standard broccolii and not tenderstem. Broccoli was the best bit. Did not stay for desert.Could have forgiven the starter mishap if the main had met expectations.Shame, lovely place, excellent customer service. May visit again in the future to see if it was just a one off bad dish.

Shame about the extremely slow / lack of service after waiting for over half an hour for table service after our main we decided to go elsewhere for desert. We did approach staff at the bar but no apology offered just told not to leave a tip. Such a shame considering how quiet it was. Wouldn’t recommend.

Lovely old building, beautifully decorated but let down by the tasteless lack lustre food. We opted for a he pasta dish which was definitely lacking in something but contained masses of frozen peas. Some of the waiting staff liked downright miserable too. Disappointing experience.

Brilliant that pubs and restaurants have opened indoors today. Out of everywhere we could go Haworth Old Hall was our first choice and we weren't disappointed. Fab food and brilliant service. Well done everybody. Can't be easy after all this time but you've pulled it off big style

Lovely outside area, plenty of covered tables, raining a lot lately! All of the staff are so polite and cheerful despite the drizzle over the last few days. Really enjoyed it here and hope they thrive when restrictions are lifted further. Toilets spotless!

I just want to write a review to say what a lovely time I have recently had As a Haworth local, I have been coming to Old Hall for years but I just wanted to take the time to say thank you to Niamh who truly looked after my table! She went above and beyond to make our evening special. Even with lockdown struggles she was attentive kind and beautiful xxx

My wife and I stayed at the Old Hall for two nights early November just prior to second lock down.Checkin was a pleasure. We were shown to our room by Harry. The room was a good size with a huge bed. All the usual room accompaniments and all very clean. The view from the room was a little uninspiring We enjoyed breakfast in the room on both mornings, having preordered the night before. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. Similarly, we dined in the restaurant/pub both evenings - again, food very good.Service was really very good throughout our stay, with all staff encountered delivering warm friendly and attentive service. Our first visit we were pretty much ignored. Our second visit was we were able to enjoy the beautiful features and good food.

We stayed at Haworth Old Hall for 2 nights. Lovely clean room. No worries at all about Covid-19 precautions. Had a lovely meal in the restaurant.

Good pub food, served by friendly staff, in a very historic building. Enjoyed the brief history of the building, supplied by a very helpful member of staff.

We popped in here for a quick lunch. My son eats lacto free and asked for the burger without cheese. The chef then advised the bun was a brioche (contains butter) so would swap for a ciabatta. My son said it's one of the best burgers He's ever had. The staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. It's a beautiful historical inn , sensitively decorated and cosy. Must visit again.

Had an anniversary meal here just the two of us and our dog Casper. Brilliant place, brilliant atmosphere and excellent food plus our dog was made very welcome. Good beer and good parking so we will definitely return. First class all round!

Had a evening meal here , pre booked covid 19 well adhered to, the building is great ,full of features the food was ok, nothing to get too excited about and a tad over priced.

Lovely old building and good food. We both had gammon which was very good. Staff friendly but seemed rushed. Good Covid safety in place.

We sat in shock observing the situation in this establishment, following a very disappointing meal last night. We were seated on a reserved table which felt tacky and sticky to the touch.A few customers around us were complaining of having to wait for meals, another table sent a meal back. A waitress ( un masked) was running around the busy room taking orders.When our meal came I’d asked for hand cut chips and got fries. My husband chose the Steak and ale pie £13.95 which he described as hard as rock...when he was served it a carrot shot off the plate onto the floor..Other customers were coming in and actually clearing the tables themselves before sitting down, we witnessed a few people doing this...the tables/chairs had not been cleaned Prior to them sitting down. My husband then complained about the lack of hygiene and the poor quality and expense of our meal. He was informed that they were doing their best. What the under-manager failed to understand was yes ..people may be using the hand sanitiser on entering the restaurant, however that was the only regulation in force. Unless there are more staff to assist in the hygiene here, Covid sadly will travel. Once my husband had complained lo and behold he started cleaning the tables...priceless
