Amazing food and I'm not vegetarian, will certainly visit again.

Really uncomfortable vibe, seemed like the owner was acting oddly. I also know that they served vegan customers dairy and never told them !! super shocking and very dangerous/ careless never going again Be warned

Myself and the family went along to Haven for my brothers birthday on the reccomendation of another family member, and we can wholeheartedly recommend this to anyone looking for genuinely delicious food at a resonable price. We ordered the whole menu of 12 tapas dishes between 4 adults and 2 kids and every single one was eaten happily and with many compliments. The staff while busy, did an excellent job of catering to our needs and being very understanding of the kids being a bit fussy at points. The ambience of the Haven can best be described as cosy and homely, and very welcoming.

Overpriced with terrible communication. Beware if attempting to hire out the cocktail bar. Read the small print (doesn’t exist)

A very cosy place with great ambience, quick service and wonderful presentation. The food was out of this world- some of the flavors were so unique and i was all fresh. And a vegetarian place- a win win all in all

Came because my daughter is vegan. Sunday brunch menu. Superb food - full of flavour, good variety, fresh and delicious. Even the ketchup was homemade. Lovely service and atmosphere. Daughter’s review: yum yum, yum yum yum, yum yum!

I came for brunch and it was fantastic. A great menu and I was spoilt for choice. Fresh and fragrant food served with beautiful presentation. Very friendly staff and great atmosphere. I can’t wait to come back soon and I’m looking forward to exploring the bar at a later date.

Absolutely fantastic as always. I have honestly never had a bad dish in here let alone a bad meal! Everything is top drawer. Lunch or dinner I'd fully recommend!

Best avocado toast I've ever had and I usually would opt for a meat based one, but this was delicious without. Smoothies also very nice.

What a gem! The tapas they serve for dinner is incredible. We shared 7 dishes: each one was beautifully presented and tasted fantastic, a couple of them blew our minds. It’s easily the best meal I’ve had in Tunbridge Wells - my previous life as a carnivore included. We enjoyed the laid back vibes and also chatting to the owner, it’s clear that he and his team put a lot of effort and love into everything. Already planning our return and checking out the lunch menu!

I absolutely love this place. The food is always great (the avo toast in particular), the staff and lovely and the coffee is great. It's our regular brunch spot, and there's plenty of variety for vegans so you don't get bored. My husband is not vegan, and he really loves the food too.

My family visited here for brunch and my husband and I are both vegan and I’m gluten-free. All of us (kids included) thoroughly enjoyed the food and definitely would go again.

You don't have to be a vegetarian to eat here! Had a wonderful birthday meal here. Cocktails are beautifully made as well. The service and attention to detail is so refreshing. I am not a vegan or vegetarian, but this is some of the best food I have had in years. Different, and brilliant.

Considering the service and food, this place should be heaving. And yet, somehow a quiet, relaxed atmosphere adds to the experience. Highly recommend this place if you are looking for well prepared and presented delicious breakfast and brunch.

Went for lunch today… our first visit. The small plates were incredible. Stand out dishes were the broccoli, the halloumi chips with jam and the Korean cauliflower. Great cocktails and friendly staff. We will be back.

Absolutely love this place.. so friendly and relaxed you feel at home with your doggie too as they love dogs! The food was all superb 👌🏻 so many dairy free gluten free and vegan / vegetarian options 😋

Great experience for a vegetarian gluten free and vegan couple looking for lunch. So tasty that we went back on a second day and enjoyed it again. Could only see 2 staff but service was jolly, enthusiastic and competent. Vegan options were gorgeous and the gluten free options were clearly marked. Coffee fab. Will definitely be back when next in Tunbridge Wells!

Sharing platter was too small for two people and expensive at over £20. Nice flavours but not good value for money. As a lunch only 3 small pancakes per person. Annoyingly service charge added, cash was not accepted!

Very spenny for tiny (and not so delicious) portions. A whopping £4 for about two florets of broccoli had me maftin! In a nutshell, overpriced and underwhelmed. As a vegan chef myself, I felt like this doesn’t accurately highlight the spectacularity of what eating vegan can be.

Went here for lunch and had the best hot chocolate of my life (hazelnut with vegan whipped cream) and a delicious vegan burger! The atmosphere was lovely and we really enjoyed our food and drinks. Would definitely recommend!

I went to The Plant Base with my wife for dinner and we absolutely loved it. We shared 7 tapas dishes between us which was the perfect amount. It's impossible to choose a favourite but we particularly liked the hummus and pan fried broccoli. We also had a treacle tart for dessert which was delicious. The service was great too. We will definitely return soon!

Had a birthday lunch with my Wife and the food and service was great. Really tasty and the place was nicely full, which shows me they have a god loyal customer base. We will return when back in T .Wells for sure and this time we will aim for breakfast as the pancakes looked amazing!

Had a wonderful meal at the plant base last night. Chose 6 lovely tapas style dishes, 2 deserts and a bottle of wine all for under £80. Brilliant place to get great vegan food particularly if you like to try lots of different dishes and share with the table as we do. Lovely decor and lovely atmosphere. Will be coming back very soon!

Amazing food and better service !

The best vegan restaurant I’ve been to - such amazing food and service!

I don't mind paying the money for good vegan food and this restaurant is quite pricey. Unfortunately the quality of the food did not match the price we paid. Portion sizes were also very small. We left feeling a little hungry and slightly disappointed. Will not come back I'm afraid.

Visited The Plant Base in Tunbridge Wells yesterday evening and was completely blown away by the food. There were three of us at our table, so we ordered all of the sharing plates and each one was absolutely delicious. We were trying to decide on our favourites and found it impossible! The whipped hummus was a joy, the sweetcorn ribs were outstanding and the tofu satay was just fab. It was the first time I’ve enjoyed tofu. All of the sauces were really tasty and well seasoned. Huge congratulations to the chef. Please go and support him. He’s doing an amazing job 👏👏👏

I was so happy to find this little treasure. That hot chocolate was insane 🤩. Really enjoyed the food. The only downside was the restaurant blocks your mobile phone signal so I had to stand outside to send emails and messages for work.

Always a good experience at The Plant Base. Delicious fresh brunch and tons of smoothie choices. Great coffee, pancake stack, side orders. Staff are very friendly, love the decor - and dogs allowed too.

Amazing, creative, delicious, inspiring restaurant. As a confirmed meat eater I was reluctant to go - but went to humour my husband who has vegan leanings. Wow! I was blown away by the food - as delicious- no… more delicious than standard meat fare! If I could learn to cook like this I could certainly get on board with this lifestyle. Thank you for inspiring me - we’ll certainly be back.

We went to try this earlier today and booked for 11am. Lovely ambiance, organic and plant themed decor as what you would expect. Really good & tasty vegan food. Portion is alright but was expecting a lot bigger pancake. Quality is good and beautifully presented. Service is a bit slow. It would have been nicer to be asked if everything is alright with food, or asked if we wanted to have another drink and finally in the end when we paid, they could have checked how was the overall dining experience. None of that and not even a thank you for coming!! It’s a shame because of all the positive ones I’ve mentioned above.

Oh wow - this is a little gem! Found it in Happy Cow after looking up vegan options in Tunbridge Wells and even though the rest of my family is not vegan they loved it!! The food selection is awesome, came quickly and the staff were very friendly. Such a nice vibe and couldn’t suggest this place enough for any vegan or even non-vegans looking for something new!

Soooooooo good and yummy! I am never used to being able to choose anything from the menu and it has so many good options it was hard to choose. My whole party loved their meals and the sweet treats are so good too (especially the blondie)

Unfortunately our experience was awful. My partner and I had decided to go here due to reading good comments but we definitely won't be going back. The service was terrible, the waitress was rude and the food was very slow. I would have hated to think what it would have been like if it was busy! There was only us and one other couple in there and there is a reason for that! The menu didn't state all the allergies which was really disappointing as the menu looked great, I had chosen what I wanted to eat but then could only actually eat one thing off the menu. MY PARTNER HAS A NUT ALLERGY AND THEY SERVED HIM NUTS IN HIS MAIN COURSE!!!! Good job the wine was nice!

We chanced upon this place for lunch when we were on a short break away. So pleased we did. I am vegetarian but my husband isn't really, but is quite happy eating vegetarian or vegan quite a lot. We had sweet potato burritos which were absolutely delicious! I am glad I have the opportunity to thank the restaurant for a lovely lunch. I wish I had remembered to take photos for the review!

My youngest summed this up perfectly: “Wow! I am stuffed. That was delicious!” Can’t wait to get back when they’re back in their normal premises. We tried almost everything they’re offering in their temporary home and it was all fabulous.

I'm not a vegan - I've eaten steak in Argentina and it was the great. That said I would absolutely eat here again. Recommended by a great colleague so popped in for lunch yesterday - I had the item that was at the top of their standard menu; it's two words but I can't remember them. What I do remember is how delicious it was, mixture of guacamole, tofu, beans and a pepper atop it - really good portion size, very friendly and attentive staff. Relaxed atmosphere. Extra points for Monstera Wallpaper. (I'm delighted to learn that is a thing).

Having tried nearly all the plant based places to eat in Maidstone, Medway and Tunbridge wells- plant base’s dinner menu is now our firm favourite. The small plates are innovative, not a nut roast in sight. We tried about 80% of the menu, and not one dish disappointed. The blinis with vegan cream cheese, dill and Smokey carrot “salmon” blew my socks off, it’s so close to the real thing without the slime of fish I couldn’t believe it. The king oyster based “scallops” were excellent and the spinach and mushroom croquets are next level. The service was also very fast and friendly, the feel is cosy and warm, we were offered blankets. This is where I want to take all meat eaters to show them how amazing vegan food can be.

This restaurant is amazing! The food is outstanding and the staff attentive. The decor and atmosphere are lovely. There are no negatives and we’ll be going back very soon!

This time it was disappointing. We drove 45 minutes to get here only to find out they were not ready with the food for another 40minutes (it is advertised they start brunch from 9am, but they start really at 10am). The only thing we could had was porridge which in all fairness was just OK, not good value for money. We should have stayed at home today. Shame as we rememberred this as a nice place. We hope next time it will be a better experience so we can change this review.

Great vegan food, lovely service and dog friendly! I had a beautiful Buddha bowl with extra tofu and basil hummus. It was so flavourful and varied. Great portion size as well. The espresso/ banana smoothy was delish!

Super tasty, quality and nutritious vegan food! We had dinner at the place and came back for breakfast the next day - so delicious, and plenty of gluten free options. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Had an absolutely fantastic breakfast at this wonderful little restaurant. The food was wonderfully thought out and prepared. The staff were incredibly friendly and the restaurant is dog friendly which is a huge plus for us. The cherry on the cake was that the oat milk lattes were made to perfection, very rare to find all these things right in a caffe!

Food was good and staff were friendly but disorganised. Service was very slow. My partner's crepes were cold on arrival, as if they had been left standing around and the accompanying toast arrived 10 minutes later, after having to remind the waitress.

I have to say we were a bit disappointed by our lunch. We went for a Buddha bowl and were surprised by the measley portion size. Given they're around the £10 mark, it was poor value for money and made me want the old version of Plant Base back when it was reasonably priced for a filling meal. Perhaps it's got a bit too gentrified?! Note that most of the reviews and pictures on this page are for the old version of Plant Base.

Wow this place is amazing! Highly recommend for brunch. There is a huge menu, and all my non vegan family members were really impressed and said everything was delicious... that does not happen often! For me (as a vegan) this is one of the best vegan cafes I’ve ever been to.

Absolutely love the avocado on toast here! The only problem is stopping yourself from eating them every day...
