Good food, good drinks(lots of options), nice atmosphere. Tables inside and outside are also animal friendly. 100% recommend.

Went for lunch today with a friend! Excellent food, excellent value for money. Friendly and attentive staff! Great all round experience.

We held my grandfathers wake here, the food was delicious, the atmosphere was lovely. Friendly staff, managers attentive and checked in a few times to make sure we were all okay. Thank you ❤️

We as a family love going over to The Chase for food and drinks and it’s fantastic that we can take our dog with us too. Milly loves saying hello to the staff( and other customers) and getting lots of cuddles🥰. The staff are always friendly and the food is excellent😊

I had a fantastic experience ! The prawn starter was fresh and tasty, and the fish and chips were some of the best I’ve had—crispy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The service was friendly, and the prices were very reasonable. Highly recommend it!

All staff are polite and welcoming with a lovely service offered to all one member of staff amy always smiles and checks regularly to see if everything is OK for you she never seems to stop always clearing and serving customers she is definitely a great team member for the pub

Me and my wife came here for dinner yesterday, it was warm and welcoming upon arrival, the staff were friendly and attentive. I had the giant pigs in blankets and my wife had a rump steak, both were hot and delicious and can't grumble at the price. Would definitely return.

The Hatfield Chace is a lovely family pub and also dog friendly. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. The service is excellent and the food is very good and reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend 👌.

We went here after a remembrance parade, this year the 10th November we went to sevral places but all full there was only room here at this pub, myself being x forces we asked if they are doing discount to vets etc there reply was no we don't,..... then to add as you walked in there was no remembrance poppy's up etc, they had a Christmas tree up before remembrance day which is highly disrespectful in my opinion. We order food but but wish I'd walked out to be honest, when the food arrived I gave my chicken to a dog ner my table as it was as dry as a nuns c.......t but also to add the steak was covered in rock salt and was like eating the sea hence why i left it. there was no checking if the food was OK when we was eating it etc we forced it down because I'd been on parade in the cold most of the day and was starving... What a disrespectful and money grabbing business. But to add if you download a app you got a free drink but vetrans on remembrance day don't..... or get any money knocked off there bill. No wonder it had no vetrans in.... If I was you I'd avoid this place. Food overpriced and rubbish.

An absolute disgusting service and food in my sons first birthday on 30/09… We was basically chucked to the table, went to order drinks my partner ordered ours and bought my baby a capri sun which came with no straw and they said straws don’t come with capri suns 🤔 when they 100% do, so we had to shove a normal straw without a pointy end into his capri sun which spilled most of it out 🙃 Ordered food, The mixed grill was dry and had no flavour, i didn’t complain as I didn’t want to damper my baby’s first birthday as much as this place this. No check backs were done!! I literally had to wave to someone at the bar to come over! (i wouldn’t walk over as i had two high chairs blocking me in) my dads fish was also like rubber and undercooked, curry sauce FREEZING! hardly apologised for this and they sent another one our 15 minutes later when the rest of the party was finished! And again no check back on this when it was rubbery and gross! all they had to say when my dad handed it back was ‘oh okay sorry’ like ?? 😂 We had a birthday cake too which we handed over, my dad handed it over and they never asked him if we wanted them to sing happy birthday? sorry but just common knowledge when someone hands you over a birthday cake to ask that question 🙃 When collecting our plates which had been sat there for a long time, the woman came over and said are you finished, so I said yes thank you, my mum made a lil joke at me saying not like they’ve been sat there for 12 hours, to which this woman gave dirty looks to us all! Sorry but have you worked properly in hospitality?😂 I could go on for days, ruined my little boys first birthday meal by how rude and dumb these workers were, guess you have to have no social skills or respect to get a job at The Chase 🤪 Anywho, just avoid. I shall add that it was DEAD in there, just one other table eating food.

Just called in for drinks. Pretty good beer selection and a likeable outside beer garden.

Feel this has deteriorated in this last year ..the back of the pub which is the best part.. is now closed for functions only.. and the food was very underwhelming .No fruit for our drinks he said " non cut..." only takes 1/2 second etc.. Overall it was unappealing .. I'm not sure if this is under new management but it feels very different.. shame

Never been disappointed with the Chace, we love it here! It's dog friendly throughout, cosy inside and serves great food everytime. Highly recommend our local to anyone.

Smoky. The smell of cigarettes came in throughout the pub from outside.

Whilst the beer was good, the food was very poor! Chips that were clearly pre cooked and warmed but still significantly cold ... cardboard has more floavour!

Just been for a burger today and unfortunately they are not fresh patties. It's very obvious they are frozen and cheap ingredients.

Staff friendly and helpful. Since the makeover the whole place seems to have been lifted. The new menus are fab with choices to suit everyone. My husbands favourite is their pie, and I tried their gammon. When it came it was a large thick steak (roughly 1" thick), it's the best gammon I've eaten in a long time, it was very moist and juicy. Their fish is a firm favourite too, white, thick and enough for an oap to take some home for their 'supper'!! Definitely a place to go...5* for everyone! X

(Bank holiday weekend )Sunday dinner was very disappointed,Frozen mash on plate, not fresh mash , tased awful meat was rammy, veg was okay but could of been hotter. Definitely will not be going back again . Kids would not eat the mash or meat waste of money .. Fella got a burger and said it was okay but not very hot .

Didn't eat but, the food looked good so, will be doing very soon.

As this was a funeral 'wake ', I gave it a 5star for atmosphere purely because we were in a separate part of the main 'pub' area so it felt very private and the locals/staff and or even people just going out for dinner were all very respectful and kept to a distance. The food that was provided was to a fantastic standard. The hot food was hot (🤷‍♂️) and the salad was fresh and clean. A very nice presentation and plenty of it. From.local word of mouth, this place is good for all different occasions, there is also a choice of room size for the smaller gatherings if required. Lots of easy free parking space on site. It is also on a bus route if needed. Overall, top scores all round. I would definitely recommend 👌 👍

Good location offering good food and a great range of drinks. Inside, it's split into a sports bar section, casual section with comfy sofas and chairs and a more traditional dining section. The outside space also huge and welcoming. Cracking place.

Had the hunters chicken good value although chicken was a bit on the dry side

We utilised the special 50% off the full bill offer this week and both had rump steak. The whole meal was amazing and cooked beautifully. The steak was so thick and free from fat it was more like a piece of fillet ! Will definitely be returning. 2 rump steak meals, garlic bread. 2 x pepper sauces and a nachos start to share...£18 (after 50% disxount). We unfortunately didn't realise to open the tab first snd pay for meal and drinks together, so we paid full for the drinks but cant complain at £18 for two steaks and sides.

We called in for an impromptu lunch and were surprised by the selection 4 people fed and watered for £60. Highly recommended 👌

Absolutely amazing pub. Seen it be built up really well. Got married at church and had my wedding reception here after in the function room. They did really well Me my husband and daughter love it here. Foods amazing.

Only called for a couple of beers...seemed busy but just average beer....and very loud locals....sorry not my kind of place but each to their own...

Today we held mums wake here, and from the booking to today nothing was too much trouble for them, excellent service and the buffet was the best I've ever had, will definitely visit again but under happier circumstances

Recently came here for lunch on Christmas Eve to have a catch-up with a friend. The food was and up to standard as compared to other chain pubs. Service was good, would visit again and recommend if you are looking for somewhere local to get some pub-grub. I booked online via their website and it was straight-forward, stress free.

Been a few times, never had anything but an excellent meal, and it's reasonably priced!

Needed a pub that would accommodate a puppy and large group so gave here a go. Nice and easy to book online even though it was a large group. Really enjoyed it. The Sunday lunches were a good size. Nobody rushed us even though the booking said 1.5 hrs and the service was very good. Will be returning.

We visited last night and had not been for a while. Our son had a cheeseburger and said it was very dry. Both my husband and I had steak, ordered medium rare Husbands was ok, mine was closer to the middle rare if not raw. We told the waiter and he didn’t really know what we were talking about. He took it back and he came back medium with cold chips and my peppercorn sauce was cold too. The steak had just been dumped back on the plate with cold food. Not good, used to be our go to, not any more.

The most amazing food. Proper proper nice homely cooked fresh food. Ingredients all fresh. Portion size very good. Deserts equally amazing. Not had pub food this good in a very long time. We will be back.

group off three friend two had roast I had off the very limited Sunday menu. ,All 3 meals had issue, I had hunters chicken, sauce was lovely but the chickens was dry.

Lovely shame good service finishes so early though

Lovely friendly staff, however a large reservation was made for 6pm on a Sunday. We weren't told on arrival what time the kitchen closed, so sadly, some of our guests had to go without food or desserts. We were also not aware that children were not permitted in the pub after 9 pm, so was asked to leave by a member of staff (although politely and a little embarrassed). One of the party, a 90 year old, ordered a dilute orange juice only to be served with a drink that was lukewarm and made with tap water. The same guest ordered chocolate cake and ice cream and said it was horrible tasting. On the positive side, the rest of the meals were large portions, even the children's meals, and the delivery of the orders was quick. Probably because the kitchen staff wanted to go home.

Food is nice but quite expensive. The lunchtime deals are good but otherwise too expensive. And drinks are also overpriced just for draft coke.

Came for a meal tonight and we were really disappointed. The food wasn't nowhere near as good as the last couple of times we have been. Staff were lovely, love the atmosphere but the food was terrible.

Honestly I will be giving a pass for a long time I had mixed grill. Missed the peas off and didn't even fetch them out. Steak tasted of something awful and wasn't even cooked medium, and gammon rolled in fat. Wings ,beans and sausage stone cold only item that was warm were the chips. Only order 3 meals and could not even fetch them out at same time was about 6 mins between the first 2 and the 3rd plate coming and the place wasn't even busy. Used to enjoy coming here but now another place on the list of not go. And if a chef ever puts garnish on every meal as Gordon ramsay would say they shouldn't be in a kitchen

Used online table service, each time I had to go bar and ask for drink after 40 minute wait. Only 1 bar staff on. How can 1 person serve at the bar and wait on all those tables its impossible. £7.25 for a single smirnoff and coke I kid you not!! The whole place had no atmosphere at all, no background music. Someone was playing music off there phone in the dining room. Such a shame I used to love this place

Had a hot & cold buffet here yesterday for my late Mum’s wake. The food was really good & plentiful. Service was excellent, staff very friendly. Myself & my family would definitely recommend The Chace for such an occasion.

Went to an 80th Birthday party Saturday afternoon it was lovely, the buffet was excellent.

Went twice last week. Wed and Sun both times the meals were great. Must say the Sunday roast was amazing. You need to go you wont be disappointed

Went for the first time on Sunday 16th April, absolutely loved it, food first class, pleasant atmosphere, definitely be going again soon.

Went for a meal yesterday with my husband and our oldest grandson, it's been a very long time since we had any half as nice when eating out absolutely loved it ❤️

Dropped in for lunch, and was quite quiet, though it was midweek. A varied menu with mostly main meals. A very small selection of lunchtime options was a little disappointing. I had a steak sub with onions which was well cooked and very tasty. I'd visit again as overall the food was good, staff were pleasant and polite and the establishment is clean.

Had a reservation for mother's day dinner. They decided to cancel and let me know an hour before we was due to leave. Very disappointing and unprofessional, never again Hatfield Chase. Happy mothers day.

My son was at a private party today so me & my daughter went for lunch, the food was very nice & arrived very quickly, however my peppercorn sauce was missing, I went to the bar which was rather busy, I'd been waiting a while & my food was getting cold so I said excuse me to a barstaff to be told rudely 'I'm busy serving' so I went & sat back down quite annoyed, when we'd finished our plates were cleared so I asked for my daughters ice cream, 20 mins later no ice cream so we left, food good & would recommend, service needs improvement

Lovely meal. The gammon was about as next level as you could get it. Addition was being able to watch the football too. Will be visiting on my next visit to Doncaster from the North East

Allowed us to walk in, sit down and ponder the menu before we ordered. Only after we ordered they came and told us that the kitchen closed at 6pm. Nowhere on the website does it state this. No signage anywhere. Instead of asking if we still wanted drinks they cancelled the entire order for refund. I will not return here again.
