Hassans Grill in Peterborough

Either I’ve got stronger, or their donner on naans have gotten lighter? Naan was dry with hard parts. Clearly frozen, then defrosted and microwaved. Donner was okay. Hard parts that were clearly cooked and left sat for a while. Time to source elsewhere

Ordered pizzas from the restaurant. They were very oily, and my husband ordered spicy beef on the pizza, however it doesn’t look/taste like beef at all, it’s vegan beef or something else. I ordered a pizza with pineapple, corn and ham and they sent me corn, ham, and salami. Got refunded from uber eat for that, even tho I didn’t want the refund only the correct pizza, tried to call the restaurant but they were closed. We also ordered a burger, but the burger contains only the buns and the patty. Literally nothing else, not even sauce, salad nothing. I had to put sauce for myself at home. Very disappointed with the food, we don’t really eat out but definitely not from here. First and last. It arrived quick tho, the driver was nice and polite.

Bad quality. Doner meat was good. But the salad was dreadful. Lettuce was slimey. Service fee with delivery and “bag fee” was poor. Won’t order again

Hassans has always been our go to kebab shop but recently the quaility has slipped

My job means I have to eat take-away food 4 days a week, which isn't great but gives me a good insight into similar take-aways across the UK. I don't use delivery, so never comment on anything other than food quality and prices. Firstly, the price - this was about average and nothing to complain about. Secondly the food - the donner meat was nice and fresh, with a good flavour. There was very little salad, which is a bit odd as normally you get the opposite ratio (personally I like loads of salad, especially marinated cabbage). The chilli sauce was indian style (ketchup based), which i like. I also like Turkish/kebab shop homemade sauce so wouldnt mark it up or down on this. The biggest factor to give 3 stars is that the nan is not nan - it's a wrap. As a general rule of thumb, Turkish places give great salad, but poor nan bread. Whereas Indian/Asian don't pay much attention to salad but serve lovely fresh nan. So, whilst the food was ok, it didn't have any wow factor with bread or salad

ordered the food for delivery, last Sunday, wow amazing food couldn't eat it all as such big portions, and excellent quality. We had the chicken and lamb nan sandwiches. Delivery was really quick, delivery driver so friendly and polite. We would highly recommend Hussain's

Ordered tonight some Donna meat and chips for me and the family 🤢 the grease was nothing like I have ever seen before, it was dripping off the packaging and the chips were soggy, the meat was gritty and barely no salad. Never again!

**Edit *Usually a good late night order, dunno if taken over by someome, but point blank refused to serve me tonight. Ordered elsewhere and went to call (to ask for sauces ordered to be on the side, not put over.) Accidentally called Hassans, and call ignored. The food isn't actually that good tbh, just rated high first time as usually deliver quick. Not terrible, but also not worth being ignored for. Usually get the munchie box and some naan bread. Always spot on, as usual. Thanks guys!

my order was completely wrong not happy at all, ordered a £7 donner and chips with mayo to receive one with chilli saice so couldnt eat it!!! i have paid £7 for just chips!!! no salad at all in the box 😡

Don't understand where the negative reviews have come from? We've had pizzas from here for the last couple months and it's easily the best value for money. Very high quality, fresh and tasty 😋

it's was late we asked for update they said it would be about 10 mins more then we had to call them to find out where the driver was as he still hadn't arrived and was told another 7 or 8 minutes and even that turned into another 15 minutes and when it was driver got here they had forgotten the pizza from the pizza deal so had to go back and get it and then we found the jacket potatoe was cold and had to be warmed up and tasted horrible.

By far the best kebab and portion I have ever had. The lamb donner was lovely and so many chips and sauce. Really good kebab and would probably feed two people off of one portion

Hassan grill has always been our first choice for a take away. everything was perfect! My kids loves the chicken wraps and beefburgers from here. I ordered the munch box for the first time and loved it.. lots of chip and food. Quality food and fast delivery service. Thanks

Kebab was awful..usually much better.. the pitta was so hard you could snap it and the meat was so dry .. I didn’t eat most of it

this was my last chance to give you guys...after multiple orders I must say that kebab meat is the WORST in the area...burgers are OK, I like chilli sauce...in overall, very poor quality. to bad as I remember you guys years ago as a rally tasty place

The Burgers and fries are really good here, It's a late night takeaway. Staff are friendly. Dec 2023 it has a 5 star food rating.

We know a Friday night can be busy, usually our orders are delivered within 45mins but last night we waited 2 hours. Food was hot on arrival but there were no updates from the restaurant which was a bit disappointing

For this place I had a Hassan's burger which is your normal chicken beef and donner burger, cheesy chips like normal and a cheesy garlic bread pizza. It just tastes like your average takeaway, nothing to rave or moan about. The cheesy garlic bread was pretty decent to be fair, nice puffy cheese too. The place has been here for donkeys of years and I have ordered other bits from here in the past and it's consistent. Mine came to just over 12 quid which isn't too bad, came with a drink too. Ordered it at 2.20am and got told half an hour and it was here by 2.38am too. One of the best early hours takeaway in peterborough and the best thing is, it's open till 5am.

Cooked to perfection plus their chilli sauce I'd say is home made. The chicken and kebabs came piping hot! It was a delicious as always meal... would buy from them again...

Ordered one donner kebab, medium chips & meal deal 3 which was supposed to be chicken tikka. Two donners turned up instead.

absolute disgrace to hassans , found a hair on my garlic bread , called up and they said it was a thread from a box ?!?! they hadn’t even seen it or taken my complaint with seriousness . clearly a curly , short black hair update , called again and was sent out a fresh garlic bread , different and more competent person on the phone this time

Absolutely awful food! Was pretty much inedible! The box fell apart in my hands once out of the bag due to the amount of grease on the food, i then had grease literally running out of the box like a tap on to my floor. Some of the worst food i have had from this place or anywhere for that matter!

Best omelette i've had from a takeaway, chicken wrap is super simple & straight to the point i love it. Can't recommend enough if you just want to fill a hole without emptying the bank.

Food used to be really good here, they delivered to me at the weekend and ordered chicken nuggets for my daughter. they sent chicken chunks rather than nuggets and when i called them, rather than accept what i was saying, they argued with me that they changed supplier and that it was chicken nuggets, when it clearly wasnt, so my daughter didnt want to eat the chunks. They then said they would refund me that part of the order and never did. Do yourselves a favour and go elsewhere. Such a shame as we often order from here.

Really nice food today as the last few have not been that great. Second time we haven’t had the kids drink with the meal which is not good and the pizza is missing the pineapple I pay 70 p for every time I order so i don’t order pineapple anymore

I've got a lot of love for Hassans grill. Been ordering from there since back in 2011. Spirals are always spot on, although expensive these days. The burgers are decent but have gone up a fair bit, used to be able to get two burgers and spirals with a drink for £10, now it's £14 but cost of living I guess.. Pizzas can be hit and miss but usually are decent, usual takeaway style pizza. Wish they would bring back the spicy chicken fillet burger they stopped doing it back around 2015/16, now the chicken fillet is plain and bland. Overall a good local takeaway.
