Harwich Kebab in Tendring

Very tasty kebabs and pizzas! I’m always happy with their food and quick service 👍

I ordered from them a medium and a large kebab. When I got my food and opened it I noticed that it was not a large at all infact both kebabs were smaller than a medium size!! I rang to speak to them as I ordered and medium and large, I was passed on to the manager who was very disrespectful down the phone when speaking to him he refused to accept they made an error he told me he sent 1 medium and 1 large then when I explained they are no way a large he said no I sent you both large so he’d changed his story to begin with when I tried to question this his response was if you don’t like it don’t order from here. Very poor customer service food wasn’t even hot. As you can see from the photo the kebab doesn’t in anyway resemble a large

I did a walk in order and ordered 2 small Donna kebabs and a small chips and when I got home to eat it they had got my order wrong I didn’t ask for salad they gave me salad I asked for burger sauce they gave me garlic mayo how is that remotely close and my chips where stone cold and drowning in vinegar when I asked not I will not be ordering from here again

Multipl43 times been to this takeaway and I have never had anything even remotely edible this place is a shambles with terrible effort took over an hour and a half to get the food that was so un appealing its not sitting on top of the bin witout even being eaten.

ate from here last night up all night being ill meat was asked for well done it was underdone and i know things have gone up in price but £7 more than last time and food portion size gone down wont use again

Ordered food £9.70 for large mixed meet and chips and the size of a kids portion, chips cold, and the prices are a joke 👌

Poor food cost just for 1 person is a joke but 1 thing i can say thats good is they are open late if you want something to eat at midnight but thats all i can say about this place and food was extremely late and cold

Got delivery order wrong ... Again . Have short changed Me in shop , phoned me up to cancel order as don't deliver to house names ... Yet my house is a number ....

Absolutely disgusting my sons kebab was dry and Absolutely horrible, the cheesy garlic bread was nice but not worth £15

We visited Harwich for a week and ate here once - we just walked up the main strip of shops to see what there was, it was late 6-7PM, the kids were hungry and we just needed to get something. We ordered chicken nuggets and 2 chips. The chips were OK, crispy enough, nothing special but acceptable. The chicken nuggets were standard frozen chicken nuggets, fried, they tasted a bit bland and a bit dry but they did the job. We were missing a portion of chips but we went back in and they sorted it out right away. Staff were friendly enough, not too talkative but not rude in any way, nice people. We would probably eat here again in similar circumstances, if we needed a quick bite or just to mix it up and have something we haven't had for a while but I think there are better options in Harwich.

We were on holiday on a nearby holiday park and refused to pay the prices in the venue so ordered food in, absolutely great food and a very quick service!

I ordered the special mixed kebab. The meat was great but total lack of attention to detail as they forgot both the pitta bread and the salad. This isn't the first time.

The chips were supposed to be a large come in a small box absolutely appalling food was freezing cold do not recommend will not be coming back! Oh yeah and the hair that was also in my food 🙄

First time going here, and probably the last. Shop looked clean and staff were friendly enough. Chips were like cardboard and not nice at all. Chicken shish was nicely cooked quite tasty, the doner was bland. Portion size wasn't great, just glad I didn't order the small.

Proper friendly staff and never any issues. Might even order a pizza from there now.

Accepted order on just eat even though they didn't have all the items we ordered in stock. They changed the order without asking and did not offer any partial refund, staff was also rude on the phone and hung up not giving me a chance to respond. Shame since we order from there regularly, will not be ordering again.

Tried several things on the menu only because other places were closed. Always terrible quality, bad pizza, dry salty chicken. Just bad everything

What a load of crap their delivery service is! They do nothing but lie about delivery times. Still waiting nearly 2 hours after a 45 minute given delivery time. DONT BOTHER. It’s quicker to cook your own dinner - and then some! Rubbish rubbish rubbish

Good for fried breakfast. Portions are very generous and staff were fantastic. We were very well looked after!

They want u to wear a mask but none of the staff had no hand sanitizer anywhere should be the same rules for staff and customers alike covid has not gone away just because the lockdown was lifted and ordered chips had to go back in wasn't put in the bag very disapointed

I called for a pick up, got there to be told I hadn't ordered. Wile waiting I noticed one of them put the wrong sauce on a burger and wipe it off with a tea towel. They had 5 people working in a small area without face masks, only taking cash? Isn't everyone avoiding cash? Also wile waiting I was joined by 3 other customers in that tiny place.. Nothing was said! Relax everyone the pandemics over apparently.

Unfortunately whilst convenient for the town it is not the best. Lamb in a Lamb Shish Kebab was extremely tough and it was not well packaged. Before eating I had to pick all the bits of soggy paper out of it! Average is generous because it was quiet when I visited

Kebab was dry. Had hard bits in it. Would not recommend to any one. Never Again. Not a fan. But the people in there are friendly.

Dirty, unclean horrible staff, horrible food horrible EVERYTHING! This place needs to be shut down before they kill someone..... people finding metal in the food? As well as other unknown things, Like come on what the hell is wrong with this place. DO NOT EAT!

Absolute joke! We order from them regularly and for the first time I had to call as I ordered a salad on pitta with hummus, it came With hardly any salad in a burnt hard pitta and no hummus, called back to ask for A replacement only to have some young rude boy tell me that it was fine! Said I could Get credit for my next order! Of £3! Said no, instead could you send two apple Pies for the same Amount for the kids to have... said no that’s not how we work! Was soooo rude I ended up hanging the phone up!.. definitely not ordering from them Again! Chips were cold, the kids burgers were burnt! Going to find another takeaway from now on!!

So hit and miss. When it's great it's great but tonight the chicken was dry and burnt and no garlic sauce. Id like to say this is a one off but 50% of the time getting sent poor quality ,over cooked kebabs. Prices gone up hugely over last two years as well.

The owner is very rude when I phoned up about a missing order, then he phoned me back and said “outside 20 minutes come get your food “ if it’s a delivery surly you should deliver.... I will never use him again no surprise you have a 2 ⭐️ Ratting pal it really should be 0 for 💩

As a treat for my kids ordered their favourite chicken nuggets and chips when food arrived order was wrong and they had southern fried chicken n chips of which they won't eat apparently according to the rude staff it was my error and order was correct as if ide order my kids food wrong I was left with 2 upset kids and uneaten wasted food rude staff could have dealt with it better than saying will offer a discount on nuggets want to contradict any of this by saying all call are recorded go for it then you'll see it's your error shame on you disgraceful

Worst experience ever! Rude staff which tried to charge us more for an order we had already paid for.

£25.50 spent only item that was acceptable was Pepsi max and coleslaw . Apple pie pastry not cooked Chicken and chips dry over cooked disgusting , like been refried . Kabab was rank !! Just complete mess to look at all went in bin . Never again the bread had large piece missing , the meat tasted rubbery , the salad well best not to there. I've given 1 star as it did arrive in the end . Had to cook 10pm at night so not happy

Dropped in for a kebab on the way home and it wasn't terrible but not the best i've had either. Nothing to really make this stand out from the crowd so will give it another go

Delivery driver is always so friendly. Always on time if not earlier. Food tastes good so can't complain 😊

Sadly will be the last time I order from here now the minimum order is 15 pound and delivery is 2 pound it's just become too expensive to order for one if I finish work late. Plenty of other more reasonable take aways in town

Have always ordered from this takeaway. Had some good and some bad experiences (majority bad) but after the last two orders I have placed I will not be ordering again. Staff make you feel uncomfortable, food is always late and tastes disgusting. Had a chicken burger tonight that tasted like plastic, was burnt and chicken was chewy. Ordered an apple pie and the dough was not cooked. And had things missing from my order. Woman who delivered violently rang my doorbell before giving me a chance to get to the door and was rude to me afterwards although she was ten minutes late. It’s obvious that no care is put into their food whatsoever and if I could leave a lower star rating then I would.

Ordered two kababs and a garlic bread. They came nearly an hour late with wrong kabab stating the one I asked for was out of stock and this was a replacement made by the chef! I asked for refund and they asked for kabab to be given to delivery driver. 5 minutes later they call to ask me to take it to shop for refund. When i refused due to having a 1 month old baby they then asked if i would accept money off next order instead which I also refused! Awful service, awful cold and late food and awful everything. Guess I have to wait up now for deliver driver to see if they turn up or not with my refund

Me and partner ordered this place via a popular takeaway app. I placed the order and my partner went and picked it up. When I was unpacking the meal I realised there was an item missing. I then phoned the takeaway to explain the situation. The person on the other end of the phone read my order out which was correct but even though i explained an item wasn't there he insisted it was in the bag.........it wasn't. He kept repeating himself. So he was in effect calling me a liar. I never would phone up somewhere to try and get a free wrap costing 5 or 6 pounds. Disgusting service. Ended with a refund via the app.AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Shame on them i am a truck driver stuck in harwich they are .2miles away and wont deliever to me ive done a 15hr day shame on tbem

kebabs seem small compared to other places but chicken pieces enormous ! chips seem to be cooked more than once. reasonable food .

Staff are so rude, especially the fat bald one. Shows that's he's blaitantly talking about you in his own language.Touches your food then wipes his hands on his sweaty top then touches your food again. Foods always cold, chips and always soggy and curry sauce is usually still frozen. Forget most of your order. Wouldn't recommend what so ever.

Awful experience, always get the order wrong and get all arsey when you tell them theve wrote it wrong! Not using them again! Curry sauce is always cold too!

Ordered from here just the other day. It was the worst takeway experience i have had. I ordered food from them at 7.45 which they repeated back to me and i did them. My food was not delivered untill 9.30 and this was all after i had to ring up and ask where my order was and a staff of theres said we had not placed an order. Then once he realised we had placed an order it took a further 10 mins to come only to find that had forgot a kabab and bottle of drink which then ended up not coming untill 10.30pm. This takeaway is a joke, they acuse you of not placing orders, take hours to even turn up, forget half the order and to top it off second time they come to the door with missed out order they get rude and say you didnt say anything was missing, when its there job to get the order right and it was repeated back to them twice!! I am totally disgusted with there service and will not be ordering from here again.

I ordered a kebab and it never came I tried to call to complain and I got no answer even though they was open

We order from here regularly and it was an on going joke to ask "what have they missed". Most of the time we don't bother calling them to moan but tonight I did and the rude bloke said I was a liar and said I will need to pay for the stuff that was missing, I said don't bother and 20 minutes later he appeared at my door with the rest of my order demanding the money so I told him where to go. Won't be going there ever again.

i hated it because i got about 5 pices of chicken in my meel and then the person i was talking to hung up on me with an atatude

They didn't send my complete order. When I phoned to complain the manager was very rude and and kept telling me I had it wrong and kept repeating my order to me. I pointed out that the receipt that was attached to the bag had checks against every item apart from the item missing but he was rudely adamant that I had it. I didn't. It's a shame that after that I will no longer be ordering from them as I do like their food but can't stand rubbish customer service.

Great takeaway food, especially the donner meat (try a donner roll!)
