Had a great meal and the sever Mark, was so pleasant and professional nothing was too much trouble. Had a great night and would definitely recommend

Visited for breakfast. First impressions were poor due to the car park being dug up/inaccessible, but this was the fault of The Fort, and not Harvester itself. Friendly greeting from the server. Initially disappointed as the option for unlimited breakfast/create your own breakfasts have gone. I don’t know why, as that was a great, flexible option that reduced food waste as you only ordered what you wanted to eat. Followed by further disappointment and annoyance to be told that no items on breakfasts can be swapped!! Absolutely ridiculous! We wanted the veggie breakfast but do not eat ‘vegetarian sausage’ (don’t even get me started on how this name is so wrong) or meat substitutes of any kind. However, we were not permitted to remove those from the breakfast and replace with something basic like a hash brown (which is definitely cheaper!) The only ‘solution’ offered by the server was to charge us for each individual breakfast item as a side, which would have ended up costing more!! Why should we pay extra when it would take literally no effort for the kitchen to cook 5 or 6 hash browns instead of 4?! There were literally only two other tables with customers at this time, so there’s no excuse of Harvester being too ‘busy’ to make swaps. Moreover, there is no mention whatsoever on the menu about swaps on breakfast items being forbidden. Clear lack of communication with customers. There is no rationale behind this stupid decision. If I’d had an allergy to tomato, I bet that could have been taken off the breakfast and swapped for a non-tomato item. In the end due to being short on time, we had to pay full price for the veggie breakfast and just ask for the ‘veggie sausages’ to be removed from the order. No swap would be authorised without us being charged an additional amount. Therefore we were overcharged as the price of the breakfast included food that we don’t eat, and Harvester refused to replace those items (with hash browns or veggie fingers that they would have already been cooking!). The breakfast was brought to the table fairly promptly. However, further issues included: lacklustre presentation of the breakfast on the plate, one of my eggs had a big piece of shell on it, the other egg was broken and looked shabby (seemed like the dregs they wanted to get rid of), the tap water we ordered was forgotten and not brought over at any point (we paid for additional drinks too). Oh, and the toast arrived cold which suggested it had been sat for ages or plated first (should be plated last, hot and straight from the toaster) and the eggs quickly went cold, which impacted the overall taste and experience. Tea and mushrooms went cold quickly too. If we’d had more time, I would have complained about the temperature/quality of the food. Harvester should think more about customer service, rather than enforcing ludicrous rules which make no sense! Us vegetarians already have so little choice (including at Harvester!) and it is unacceptable that the majority of cooked vegetarian options involve meat substitutes, with no flexibility to make slight adaptations for people who do not wish to eat such swill.

My first time dining with harvester, on arrival noticing the restaurant was well presented and clean, I was greeted by carlene who was very welcoming she taken our ordered making sure we had no allergies. All the girls who were on today were all very family oriented food was well presented perfect temperature all of our food was on point, delicious.My mom had fish and chips, and commented it was the best fish she had ever had in any restaurant she has ever been in. Well done to all the team and kitchen staff brilliant experience will definitely recommend and be coming again! Thank you :)

Brilliant service. A lady was struggling with her child's behaviour and the staff were kind and reassuring. Not often seen in restaurants. Very happy.

My friend and I came for breakfast this morning and had the absolute best service from Cat! Service was prompt, food served quickly and piping hot. The restaurant itself was well laid out and super clean. 10/10 would recommend anyone coming here, especially when Cat is working!

The £8 chicken deal was excellent value, the half rotisserie chicken was really nice and so was the double classic chicken burger. We were very impressed. The salad bar was fully stocked and tasted fresh. The soda and lime with mint was a nice twist - almost like a virgin Mojito. Our server Jack was lovely and he also made a great recommendation of pairing sage chips with gravy. The restaurant itself was nice and peaceful with lots of natural light from the big windows. We will be back!

I wish I could give this a 0 start rating, we came in as a collective group of 20, and we where first greeted with rather a rather abysmal welcome, to then be ordered to go to our table which we then sat and waited 40 minutes just for our salad bowls! very poor customer service on a whole but I would like to mention I work in the hospitality trade myself and as a collective restaurant you are meant to prioritise the bigger size tables, after we received our salad bowls, some people had already got their mains on our table, and others waited over an hour for their meals, which where average to say the least, as I explained being in the trade myself i understand the difficulties larger sized tables can bring however the restaurant itself only had around 20 people in besides our table. After our mains were collected upon finishing our meals, we then had another 40 minute wait with a desert order for only 5 people! A very poor experience and would advise larger sized tables to book somewhere else unless you want a night ruined like we had.

Tonight I had my dinner with my family at the harvester fort in Birmingham, Absolutely rubbish service and a very confusing offers not clear from the waiters, long wait for the food , chicken dry and the bill was full of extra not explained clearly from the menu and the staff. Definitely won't see me and my money again. Absolutely rubbish.

I wouldn't recommend at all I asked for a plain beyond burger it came with some kind of sauce I told to waiter and he just said sorry about that 102 .00 I spend overpriced and I didn't enjoy it first and last time visit yuk

This was our first time visiting this Harvester, we were greeted warmly by a friendly man called Jack. We had booked a table as we didn’t know how busy it would be as we aren’t from the area and we were quickly identified and taken to a booth. Jack was very friendly and was efficient in taking drink orders and then food orders. The restaurant was very clean, the salad bar was fully stocked and very fresh. Our order came quickly and was cooked well and was all very tasty. We were off to a concert and this was a great place to go before we drove to the arena which was only about 15 mins away - it was really nice to have great service and great food.

Detritus everywhere. Tables not cleared, absolute carnage, food on the floor etc. RANK! My rotisserie chicken was inedible, so flaming dry t'was like eating feathers. Hubby's order came up wrong. No apology. What a horrendous experience. Bread rolls were stone cold, when they used to be warm and crispy back in the day when folks used to care. Why so grim now? Not the Harvester brand we knew and loved where we used to live a decade ago. My goodness me, revisting Harvester as a trip down Memory Lane has left us all scarred. Absolute shocker!

Awful awful just advoid we didnt evan get as far as ordering as that bad.. didn't have the chicken so couldn't order anything with R Chicken. So that ruled out everything we wanted. As couldn't even have the mixed grill ultimate anything with it.. Just AWFUL LEFT DIDN'T EAT

Was shown to table by pleasant lad, ordered pot of tea and a coffee, toast and jam, mug of tea arrived half full, coffee was lukewarm, toast didn’t arrive , so I had to go and ask , asked a young g girl for toast, looked at me if I was mad , finally brought my toast , no butter just jam , not impressed here.

Visited for a joint birthday meal and the food and the staff were amazing.. even though there were 12 of us with 5 separate bills 🙈 We had Shanelle as our waitress and I can’t praise her enough!! She was genuinely nice and so polite! She was even great with the kids. The best I’ve had in such a long time! Thank you Shanelle, we will definitely return!

Visited here for breakfast. When i visited it was quiet with only a couple of other customers dining. Pleasantly greeted by staff who showed me to my table and took my order. Restaurant looked clean as did the toilet area. Ordered the classic breakfast, which surprisingly didn't take to long to arrive. The breakfast was presented well, however it ended there. The breakfast was just about lukewarm, with some of the items actually cool to the touch. The toast was cold and there was no way the butter would even begin to melt on it. The bacon was cold and fat on the side was pale and horrible, The sausages were lukewarm and looked like they had been overcooked and then just left on the side to go cold and dry before being plated up The hash browns were only lukewarm and not crisp. Even the beans were just about lukewarm. The only thing that appeared to have been cooked fresh and hot was the eggs. Unbelievable they can't serve a hot breakfast. It's not like it was cooked hot and left on the side to go cold because of how busy it was. Seriously disappointing food from the kitchen staff, who looked like he didn't want to be there.

Served by a charming young man, didn’t have a name tag. Quick service. Great food and experience all round. Will be returning!!!
