No complaints about the food itself, it was all very tasty and good quality, but I cannot tolerate things in things on plates. The chips were in a basket on the plate. Just put the chips on the plate, please. The plates were too small for the servings. It would have been nice to have a larger plate to be able to manoeuvre the food and also to add the salad, rather than having a separate small bowl. I like everything on the plate, not having to eat out of deep sided vessels on the plate. Our server was friendly, polite and efficient.

Clean and tidy, salad bar is always fresh and clean. The staff are great, especially Laura who is just fantastic, funny and can’t do enough for you.

The food and service was excellent. Samir looked after us well. Watched him working really hard looking after everyone in his area.

Popped in today for a quick bite to eat. Book a time slot however arrived early. They were more than accommodating and allowed us to sit down to eat earlier. The server name was Laura. She was fantastic and her service was outstanding. She was very friendly and helpful due to our son being a fussy eater. We have been to this harvester before and Laura was our server that time, which our son remembered. Her service then and still is fantastic. She is welcoming, friendly and nothing is issue that she can’t sort for you

Girly lunch! Popped in at lunchtime on the off chance they might be able to fit us in, was greeted by the beautiful Samir! Who looked after us the whole time we were there! Service was amazing, lots of playful banter which made us all giggle, super relaxing. Food & drinks were fab, they had everything we asked for. 👌

Nice food, was let down by the servers not coming over for a long period of time. We had to go find someone, so we could pay and leave.

We had an impromptu family meal and was seated straight away. The service was brilliant (thank you Samir) and the food was great. The salad area was well stocked and everything fresh. Would definitely recommend.

Very very disappointed with the service and food received, we waited at the front to be greeted by a manager who didn’t check for an allergies ,we then ordered from the lunch menu and waited for our food which took a little longer than expected. As soon as we got our mains which we (both had simply chicken )we quickly realised the chicken was not well cooked and on closer inspection mine was pink in the middle, this was also realised this after my friend had eaten his saying it was very rubbery, I then went to the toilet and looked for a member of staff to sort the issue, I then couldn’t find a single member of staff and no manager to be seen which is strange as there was only about 8 tables in the restaurant, so we sat and waited for 30 minutes at the table with no sight of our server, then she came over and asked if we were finished i explained the chicken situation and her reply was “I will tell the kitchen”. Which was fine but I expected an apology. We had one meal taken of the bill which I found very unsatisfactory and in all honestly expected to just pay for the drinks. Upon leaving I tried to find a manager to have a conversation but found no one so had to leave a review online. I work in waitering myself and in all honesty every time I have been here during lunch I leave very disappointed with the food.

Visited on a busy Thursday evening. The service was polite and efficient. On enquiring about any Ale availability I was told that only John Smiths was available. I decided on a lime and soda. At £2.50 a pint it was rather expensive. The food was not great. The burger bun had freezer burn and the bottom half was soggy. The salmon was clearly frozen and microwaved. At £17 it was not good value. The salad bar offered the usual harvester items which were all available.

Always a great experience when we visit the Harvester

Always had good food and service here and have been a few times and never had a need to complain. Always leave full and had plenty of food. Price is fairly reasonable as well.

We had the best time celebrating my Grandads 75th birthday at the Colchester, Essex restaurant.Vienna serviced myself and my family and went above and beyond for not just us, but every table she served. She is an absolute credit to the Harvester team and I'll be returning because of the outstanding service she provided. She was brilliant the whole way through and was just as amazing with my toddler.

Visited Harvester Stanway this evening. It was very busy and although we hadn't booked we were seated straight away in the bar area. Our server Samir was cheerful and very accommodating when a small issued arised. He made our evening more enjoyable.

Very disappointed. Salad bar was nearly gone no butter only lurpak to have with the bread rolls . I ordered chicken skewers with satay sauce as don't like chilli low and behold they make it with chili in nothing to say that on the menu. Waitress was fine but overall not worth the money. Didn't have the desert as so upset with main. Manager did take of the price of the skewer but didn't make up for the disappointment.

Amazing experience at Harvester Stanway for my nan’s 89th birthday made that way by Samir the waiter who couldn’t have been more accommodating. He was particularly understanding and helpful with my nan - even spoilt her with a birthday cake, candle and song for dessert 🥰 would absolutely bring her back again based on our experience cheers bud!

Samir was our server on our recent visit. He went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. Food was ok, felt it was expensive for what we had, but had a discount voucher which helped!

My partner and I had a lovely experience on a Saturday lunchtime. We were served by Sara, who seemed to deal with overseeing lots of tables superbly. She even offered to bring our refill drinks to us filled, which we thought was a nice touch. Food was wonderful, if portions were a little on the large side. My partner would recommend the rice bowl that seems to have been recently added to the menu :)
