Harvester Restaurant in Birmingham

Had a lovely lunch here today. I ordered the haddock and chips which was really nice. We were served by Demi who was really friendly, professional and helpful. Will definitely be coming back.

Went to the Harvester yesterday evening, was seated swiftly near the salad cart, Zane served us and was attentive and fast ! She was lovely, though she had to go our night was finished by Tom ! Absolutely loved our night will visit again soon !

Thomas was our server and was fabulous really made our meal an experience to remember 100% will be back and asking for him again

Great service and George was great very polite and helpful. Food was lovely and came in a timely manner. Nice atmosphere too

Went for breakfast with family and was looked after by the lovely Zane who was very kind, attentive and charismatic. She kept us all entertained including our baby who was obsessed with her charms on her lineyard!! Food was lovely, nice and quiet for a Sunday morning, but the highlight was definately Zane who really put a smile on our faces. She really was the highlight of the visit and despite us being quite a large group with various requests throughout our meal, nothing was too much trouble for her. I ordered a meal using the Too Good To Go app. Everything was accepted. When I arrived to pick up I waited for 10 minutes and was then told there was no chicken. This has happened to me before. I asked if there was any replacement I could have and was told no. So another wasted journey. Avoid using this restaurant on Too Good To Go. Terrible customer service for the second time

Strongly recommend you order your starter and drinks, have them and then request the waiting staff put in the order for your main course, as we practically had everything at once when we were looking forward to a leisurely-paced meal. Anything deep fried had batter so quickly heated that it was brittle and burnt (we cracked the batter off and the meat and fish were fine to eat), so maybe avoid those and have rotisserie/carvery food.

Typically I wouldn’t leave a review however, Monday afternoon I was served by a lovely young lady named Leanne and he service was some of the most pleasant I have ever had the chance to receive. The food was also immaculate but I truly believe the atmosphere plays a huge factor aswell and I believe that’s the reason this experience has popped into a couple conversations this week. Keep it up!

Great experience today! George was our waiter for lunch today and he gave me a good explanation of the difference between the two big ribs dishes ! And he was spot on the mega ribs were Brilliant

Lovely and kind service from leighan, friendly and took time to really deliver a great experience. Food was lovely, delivered in great time and she kept checking if everything was okay with food and service, which created a lovely atmosphere. Outstanding service!!

Always enjoy a meal at the Harvester Boldmere and we were not disappointed this time either. Our waiter Zane was very friendly and efficient. Nothing was too much trouble for her. Meal was delicious (thank you Ashley) although chips should have been hotter. A very enjoyable evening.

Had a lovely late lunch with my partner. Food was good quality and the service was polite and very efficient. We will return.

Would highly recommend Harvester, Boldmere. The 2 or 3 course meal offer is excellent value for money. Food was excellent, piping hot with lovely fresh salad bar. My dad loves going here for the lemon sundae. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Found out they do a quiz on a Thursday night so decided to stay. It was only £2 per person and you also get a free chocolate bar! Excellent for a cheap night out. Will certainly be going again.

I popped in for a quick breakfast with my sister and it was absolutely delicious! The chef Owen made some of the best poached eggs I've ever had, they popped to perfection, bravo Owen!

Food and service was fantastic!! The host of Zane was brilliant and made us feel very welcome. Would highly recommend!!

Had a great time, all staff were very accommodating, Ben sat us quickly and our Server took no time at all in making sure we were okay and found us a table we liked better, at the end Zane our waitress helped us through getting the app so we could see the options available! Avoid at all costs! Got a table after a short wait and had drinks order taken but no sign of drinks when food order was taken. Over 20 minutes later the waitress came back to say that one of the beers ordered was not available and asked if we'd order something different. Had enough by then and just got up and walked out...will definitely not be back! We'd had poor service there previously but decided to give it another try Anniversary night out ruined.....thanks Harvester!

I absolutely live this particular harvester. They are really accommodating to my specific needs and also my families individual needs now too. I go to Harvester Boldmere on a weekly basis and often twice a week! I would highly recommend them. As a bonus, a member of staff called Lindsey and Kelly are particularly staff to mention and now that kirsty and Ben have took over management, they have continued to accommodate for my needs. Going to Harvester Boldmere is, literally, what I choose to do in my time on Leave from the hospital. I highly recommend them!

Very helpful front of house ( Kelly). Disappointed with the hot buffet. Menu stated meat free bacon, meat free sausages & poached eggs, but there wasn’t any on the buffet table. So I could only have continental at the cooked breakfast price ( paid for before sitting at the table) . Tasty fresh fruit & yogurt. Nice selection of croissants but I didn’t have any as on a healthy diet.

Had a lovely meal last night. The food was excellent and Toby was attentive, helpful and friendly. An absolute asset to the restaurant.

Had a lovely meal with family. Rich was our waiter who was very professional and accommodating. Salad was fresh, good choice and tasty. Meals were delicious. Excellent value and definitely will be going back.

George who looked after us was absolutely fantastic, he was very polite and helpful, me and my boyfriend had a baby with us and he was very helpful with getting highchair and was very friendly, made our experience very pleasant, thank you George

So we came here tonight as we fancied treating ourselves to a nice meal that is a bit far out the way for us. When we got there we were seated pretty quickly but waited about 20 mins before a server came and checked on us which was no problem, we ordered our food and drinks and shortly were given our salad bowls, but then waited over 25 minutes for our drinks my partner had to go and ask for our drinks an then they came, very quickly after that we had our food come mine was fine i cant complain but my partners meal was absolutely stone cold all of it the only thing that was warm was the chips, and then when we mentioned this to our server he said he will chuck it back on the grill, but we stated that everything apart from the chips were cold and that surely by putting a steak back on the grill is going to ruin it in terms of how she wants her steak cooked, anyways he bough back her food and it was just as cold its like it hadnt even been touched but then he also took away our cutlery so we had no steak knives and one fork between us that i had to ask for again. In the end me an my partner just shared my food as we once again told the server about the meal and he just said he will knock some money off. Couldn't leave quick enough but it felt as if the lad serving us was avoiding us. All in all it was really disappointing and still paid a lot of money for food that was ruined. The staff were apparently very under trained and the pub management need to sort it out, will not be coming back. I never leave negative reviews but this really needs addressing it was embarrassing

Amazing service by our waiter Toby, he was quick and attentive! the food was brought over quickly and was also enjoyable.

Today i was here at the Boldmere Harvester in Sutton and i was served by Samuel who was just fantastic, the service was stunning and we couldn't if asked for anything else he was nothing but polite and was working so hard as he was on his own in this one area of the restaurant. We was at the Fort last week and the service and food was terrible and today just showed the difference in class! My sirloin steak was cooked to perfection and Samuel said the chef who cooked it was called Corey. Thankyou so much to Samuel for the service and Corey for the amazing meal. We are booked in again next week and can't wait to come back.

I don’t know where to start as the service and the food were both amazing. Our two waiters Sam and Reagan were brilliant, always checking on us and very friendly. The food was superb, the best harvester we have ever had, cooked to perfection. Overall it was a lovely meal and I will definitely be coming back.

A friend was visiting from germany, and was flying home on sunday, we hadnt been here for a long time so decided to book a table. The waitress explained how everything had worked and we were seated.Our drinks order was taken straight away, I asked if an item on the menu could be veganised and the waitress must of forgotten, You could see she was nervous and clearly stressed out. Which is understandable.Our food order was taken and there were some problems so the manager came to take our order.The Chilli Non Carne came stone cold, 2 of the Tapas sides were missing even after being read off the menu, The peas were also cold. I felt sorry for the waitress as she clearly had not been given the training she needed.I definitly wouldnt visit here again, Service from the waitress was fantastic, But it was also very slow, Never really anybody around, a table that came in after us ended up with their food before us.

Came on 21/7, was boiling hot inside and outside the restaurant/bar but were served promptly by very friendly staff. Would come back here again

As the title says I love this restaurant so much! I am a regular with the family and every time we go for a meal we are met with amazing food and even better service! The staff have always gone above and beyond to provide special dietary requirements for my nan and have always made every visit a pleasure for every family member. Emma especially has always provided an amazing service and now going to the restaurant isnt just about the food, we return for the service too.

The hotel restaurant we booked let us down but the kind host/manager at Harvester accommodated us at short notice on two tables in the same area (observing covid rules). Our server, Tash, was superb and turned our previously fraught evening into a very pleasant one. The restaurant was busy but she managed our party of 11, including 5 children, with ease. She was great, funny, beautiful. Thank you also to the man who let us in. You saved the day. The food was delicious and good value too. Bravo.

Went for meal out as a family meal for the first time in along time. Wonderful staff, Maz you were great! All our meals were the best we’ve ever had at a Harvester. We’ll done to all the staff, food quality was great. We will definitely be back.

I came to breakfast on Saturday 12th June with my daughter and it was the first time we had been out since the lockdowns together, we were seated and served by a young man (i didnt catch his name) he served us for our duration and made sure we had everything we needed, he was brilliant. The food was ansolutely incredible, i had a classic breakfast and it was out of this world i told the young lad to tell the chef that i wanted to do a review about them both. The young man said the chef was called James. (Can you find out the young lads name i feel like he did tell us but i can't think of what it was at all) We will definately come back to this lovely restaurant for breakfast again, who knows, we may venture out for lunch or tea one of the days. We visited here on the off chance for lunch as we had the day off. We were greeted at the door by Sam who went through all ‘the new way to dine’, making everything seem simple. The menu and the food were brilliant and the service from Sam was VERY GOOD and a welcome for our return to dining out. Thank you for the service!

Hello to the manager of Harvester Sutton, We came in today and sat on a round table in the middle of the restaurant, the table was ok but just a little too close to other tables, this is our only critisism, Sam was our server and him and Molly were fantastic during our stay. At the end we asked how could we make a difference by leaving a review and they said if we leave a review for them they get free bottles of alcohol so here is to Molly And Sam. We have booked back in for 2 weeks time so we hope they are both on together again. Chefs were brilliant. Keep it up! ThankyouMartin.

Today i came in and Hungary. food with my friend, we had two beautiful starters of Prawns and a nice barbeque stack thing for our dinner, it was absolutely stunning. Our first meet up at an actual pub for months and months. Molly was the girl who seated us and Sam looked after us for the duration of our time. It was very busy but everything went smoothly and we had a lovely time xSam and Molly were so polite and i hope they get this message. They will know who i am when they see this review as i told them i was leaving that i would do the review. We was sat in a booth right by the kitchen

Had lunch here on 8th October then got an ECP parking ticket despite entering details into the system inside the restaurant. Took the notice in when I received it and was assured it would be dealt with by them and quashed and it was happening all the time. TOday received a final demand for £85 and of course the Harvester is now closed so I'm stuck. Disgusted,

I visit the Boldmere frequently, the team are always accommodating to myself and my family’s needs and are all lovely, bubbly people. The food is second to none, always fill up on the salad bar before though and can never finish my main!! On a whole a really pleasant experience as always!

Returned to harvester Boldmere last night and wow were we impressed. The staff were friendly and attentive despite being fairly busy and under pressure with current rules. The salad cart was served to us, like last time we visited, which is efficient and effective. Food was delicious but the service was the icing on the cake!

I came to the harvester last night at around 7pm i was spoken to by a lovely young lady at the door called Molly who seated me and my friend Irene, we were served by a lovely server Sam who was nothing but friendly and helpful he made us feel right at home, the food was delicious and the staff were so kind, big thankyou to Molly and Sam for working so hard to make us feel taken care of. I only have one negative and that was that only these two staff members were working so i felt bad for them because it was busy and there was alot of customers being a bit rude to them so i did feel sorry for them as it was not there fault, there was one more lady running drinks but she was the bartender so she wasnt really helping with food as i presume its not her job. But other than they could of done with one more person to help them. Without a doubt though Molly and Sam offered outstanding service and we will definately be returning in the near future.Thankyou for taking your time to read this, please let Molly and Sam know we have left this review.Janet x

We pre-booked a table using their App, when we arrived we waited five minutes before anyone came to reception to take us to our table - the NHS Track and Trace QR code didn't work which we mentioned to a member of staff to be old that it didn't matter because we had booked - well it does matter as we are using the NHS Trace and Trace App to monitor any potential risks of infection and clearly none of the other diners there could use it either! Given that Birmingham is at risk of going into tier 3 because of infections this is not really acceptable. When we were taken to our table we were given food menus for the kids and a main menu. We asked about the menu to check the terms of the £1 kids offer code we had been given on their app and were then told explicitly that we could use it on the lunch menu which was then brought to us. the waiter said 'it works with any main meal' we said even from the lunch menu? He replied 'any main meal from any menu - just not on an order of just a starter or dessert' My husband and I ordered some drinks - I had an Apperol spritzer - that was fine, however my Husbands Mojito tasted like soda water with a hint of lime, and was very bitter, we couldn't taste the rum, there was no mint and no sugar syrup and had a slice of lemon in it? We complained and was told that there wasn't any mint or sugar so we asked for a different drink because it wasn't very nice at all. Also there wasn't any straws for our children's drinks. We ordered from the lunch menu, and from the kids menu - while waiting for our food two tables nearby were mixing and seat swapping whilst their kids were running around everywhere - including around our table. This was not challenged by staff! Staff also were wearing their face masks below their noses on occasions too! The food came out and was generally fine - although daughter had a very tiny portion of sweet potato fries - despite only being 5 years old she also needed to eat the whole side order of Mac and Cheese we had ordered to share. There was a very long wait until our plates were cleared, we ordered the puddings and they came out - generally fine although my Husband waffle was so tough that he nearly broke the metal soon trying to eat it! We were not offered more drinks? Finally when we asked for the bill we were then told that the voucher didn't work because we had the lunch menu - we said to the waiter, but you said it would, and he said 'oh you should have checked the terms and conditions' I said we checked with you, he said he would loo into it, and then send a waitress to deal with us, I explained what we were told,, and then she went away, and came back with - you should have checked the terms and conditions!!! This meant we over paid £8.00 for lunch it cost £10.00 for our kids meals which should have cost £2.00. Needless to say it was a poor experience, and I don't think we will be going back any time soon! Certainly not during Covid restrictions! Its only around the corner from where we live, but I would rather go somewhere else! I am leaving this review because despite us raisin concerns about this directly with the staff on each negative point raised, nothing was really done - visited 13:302/10/2020 - I hoe staff check CCTV re the points above and update their NHS track and trace QR Code - for the safety of all visitors!

Just terrible! Over the years this place has got worse and worse! The quality of the food and service is beyond poor you would be better going to the Wetherspoons or one of the many restaurants in Boldmere instead.

Wouldn’t even recommend to people I dislike, it’s that bad. Service is non existent, staff are unfriendly and unhelpful. We waited to be seated at an unclean table. Once seated another couple were seated at the table next to us which was not at all distanced or COVID secure. Waited at table for 15 minutes and not one member of staff even entered the room to take a drinks order. I went to the bar to ask if somebody could serve and was unpolitely told it was table service only before I could even ask if anybody was coming around to take orders. Another table who had already had drinks went to the bar to ask if they were taking orders and the bar lady came in, walked straight past our table and did not serve us. In the end we gave up and walked out to go elsewhere. Worst service I have ever had in a pub. Doesn’t give me much faith in the restaurant either. Never returning again. Spoke to the member of staff on the way out to let him know why we were leaving. He seemed disinterested.

My Dad who has been isolating since the start of this sorry business wanted a full English fry up. So we decided on the Harvester which is local to him with good disabled access, required as he has a mobility issue. The staff are always wonderful and very accommodating. I’m afraid that’s where the good review stops. What can I say about the breakfast menu. The range is excellent but I’m afraid they are let down by the simple things. We had the full English, the vegetarian and the vegan. On all three the mushrooms and tomatoes were cold. Not even a hint of heat from the pass. The vegan couldn’t have toast as they have no vegan butter. The meat free sausages were grey, hard and completely devoid of texture. Why not In the age of Linda McCartney who in my opinion has these on lockdown can’t these be served instead. Get the basics right. Decent mushrooms and more than 2 which I assume they consider a portion. Decent bread instead of the thin sliced generic white stuff and good butter. All make the difference Would I go again - not for breakfast no.

Had family meal last night and have to say it was excellent. The food was great and service exemplary. The COVID restrictions were were very well maintained and felt very safe. The only one downside was the wait for the salad bar but with the number of people I guess you have to expect it. Altogether a great evening out.

The staff could not of been more welcoming, our Golden retriever was welcomed with open arms and sausages along with fuss from every member of staff. The area we sat in was well social distanced.The food was ok but nothing to write home about but we were made to feel very welcome and comfortable. Will definitely be back .

Popped in here as I down from Scotland visiting my daughter's and we went in for lunch and gotta stay very good safety measures in place with regards to 2020's baddest friend Covid .... Food was decent and well presented and staff were good from the onset particular Sam who was very professional attending to out table ... Only moan think for the area it in place could do with a lick of paint as it looks very dated and sorta off putting... I a council estate lad from Manchester so not posh haha ... Thanks again

Having been restricted by the Covid-19 pandemic, we as a family of 7 had 5 birthdays in which to celebrate. We chose The Harvester because we knew it was child friendly and with a 10 & a 4yr old to take into account we thought we'd give it a go.We were determined to enjoy it regardless of "new normal" customs but everything from the salad bar, which was well stocked and fresh, to the drinks, the main meals and desserts were all very tasty and cooked as requested. The service (Fiona) was prompt and polite as well as being efficient in her job was an added bonus especially considering the uncomfortable heat.We did take advantage of the "Eat out to Help out" campaign but if we know that this is normal in terms of food quality and service then I would happily pay full price and return once more, that's for sure.

Had a great visit this evening! Staff friendly as always Aaron on the bar and Emma helping us get settled ready for our meal! A+ as always!!

First restaurant I went to since the re opening, obviously had social distancing measures. I enjoyed my food here, the side/starter dishes were the best of the lot.

Visited Saturday 18th July for lunch and what a lovely return it was! This is the first time I have been out since lockdown and was initially worried about rules being put in place however, upon arrival this was eased. Plenty of hand sanitiser was dotted around the restaurant. I had the salad cart explained and when I went up was greeted by a wonderful server who was polite and followed social distancing rules as well as telling me what was available. Food was high quality and good value for money and service was friendly and attentive with refills being filled promptly upon request. Staff had a very good cycle set in place in order to adhere to guidelines, which I thought was excellent and removed the need to wear a mask or any other protective equipment. Will most certainly be returning soon!

Keep away from here food was the worst ever I am a chef an never saw such bad producers food I saw chef there heard someone should his name (David) an he looked like he had been dragged through an edge an also looked like he was on drugs if management don’t take this further I’ll get the police an EHO AND NSF involved

First time back since lockdown to a harvester. The GM explained the new measures when we first arrived, hand sanitizers across the pub and tables socially distanced. It felt really safe and the team has done a great job. Our waitress aless was great and the food came quickly and was amazing. The Salad bar was served by a friendly chef who gave very generous portions and asked if we would like more. Definitely will be going again and a very good experience.

We were staying next door and wanted a restaurant nearby. We didn't expect too much, it's a Harvester! But what we got was a clean environment. Relaxed, but attentive staff. Cracking menu with food for all tastes and dietary requirements. A big thank you to Alice who was knowledgeable and attentive, with nothing being too much trouble for her.

Food tasted amazing however, staff in Boldmere could be more friendly and deals could be more precise rather than misleading as I had a groupon voucher for two free courses for two and we ended up paying an extra £17.

I haven’t been here in quite a while but was pleasantly surprised. I had a lovely steak and my wife had a burger. We also made use of the delicious salad bar. Our meals were cooked to exactly how we like them and were very tasty.

Terrible disinterested staff kept us waiting 10 minutes before acknowledging us then very surly. Floor covered in what looked like several days worth of food. Walked out. Avoid at all costs

Visited as part of a staff night out .... Had a great section of the restaurant reserved for us .... Service was excellent given that we were quite a rowdy bunch !! Huge thanks to Manager Kevin , Aless and Maz (two others , sorry , didn't get your names !!) Thanks also to Dave and the kitchen team for putting together an awesome buffet that looked so fresh and appetising when it came out !! Thanks again to all of you and if you're really unlucky , we'll be booking again for another night !! There's a reason this place has thrived for so long in Boldmere .... Great staff , great atmosphere and beautiful food !! Awesome !!

Would never go here or recommend anyone to go here , staff here mainly the chef and waitress are more interested in their dirty affair , than cooking or serving customers , avoid this dirty hole

Myself and two friends went to this restaurant on Friday 10th January for an evening meal. The food was very good and the service excellent. We had a variety of meals from triple chicken (3 types of chicken - Breast, southern fried and cajun) to prawns in garlic and we all enjoyed the food thoroughly. The waitress service was first class, very friendly and nothing was too much trouble including swapping the chips for salad. Would definately recommend but might be wise to book first as it can get very busy.

Fab evening , arrived earlier than booking and was taken straight to table. Our waitress was Molly s and what a credit to you and your business she is. Quick drink and food order taken, and starters were out before we'd had chance to finish our buffet saladbar . Promptly cleared and mains brought out immediately, we declined dessert as was too full but in and out within 90 minutes fab so we could make the most of our kiddie free eve . Thank u so much .

Had booked here for breakfast with Santa, arrived at 11am, behind another customer waiting at the desk. Eventually a member of staff came over and took the customers infront to a table, we were then left standing for another 15ninutes and the member of staff could be seen strolling around the restaurant. My husband had to go over and ask if we could be seated, he then came over no apology or sorry for your wait. We then were taken to the table and given a paper menu with no prices? Random. We all decided on cooked breakfasts and were told to help ourselves to buffet drinks and continental. There were no plates or cups for food or drink. Hardly anything left on the continental buffet, another customer asked for food to be refilled and was told there wasn’t any left. When our breakfast came it was cold. Very disappointed with the whole experience. Definitely wouldn’t recommend Harvester Boldmere and we will never be returning.

Visited the Harvester in Boldmere this morning for breakfast with Santa. Very disappointing! Cold food, despite being first in restaurant at 9am. Congealed eggs, beans that seemed they were straight out of the tin, bacon barely cooked. No choice of hot drink, tea and coffee only! What about people who only drink fruit tea. Needless to say, not an experience I shall be repeating.

I booked the Harvester Boldmere for a group lunch, we pre ordered a combination of starters and sweet, plus a main course for everyone, the food is what you would expect and the staff worked really hard to bring the food out at the same time.

Went again to the harvester boldmere road Sutton Coldfield and we were greeted straight away by Lindsey one of the waitresses, she always makes you feel a valued customer nothing is too much bother for her.we usually start with the salad followed by a main and pudding all this for £8.99 and we had a different main and each one was great, and the pudding is too die for Black currant mousse with ice cream.great value for money

Just returned from a very pleasant lunch at harvester Boldmere had their lunch special which is two courses for£8.99 or three courses for an extra £2 making £10.99 before 5pm this also includes unlimited salad and a roll and butter,we opted for two courses and one of us had a starter and the other a desert our main course was gammon with chips ,onion rings a tomatoe and large mushroom plus the salad hence only managed two courses but really enjoyed this meal and would recommend it especially going just after 2pm as it is fairly quiet then but have also been for their evening special at bassets Pole resteraunt a few pound more but a bit more choice but found it also very good

Spent the day in Boldmere so popped in for lunch the staff was very friendly and efficient we were seated straight away staff and our order was taken food arrived sizzling hot and very tasty will be back real soon.

I am TOTALLY impressed with the Salad and Main Meal I had! I had a Child's portion of Half rack Ribs, with Triple cooked chunky Chips, with Steamed Veg. It was AMAZING! The meat was succulent and the Chips were lovely and crispy on the outside, and the Veg steamed to perfection! All the meal was just the right temperature too. Staff Friendly, nothing was too much! Will be re-visiting again soon.

no bacon no scrambled was told run out of it sat down to look at menu was going pay 9.99 all in so went for 5.99 one hard egg two very cheap sausages half a tom.one mushroom two hashbrowns and little glass to get your drinks in

We stopped in for some food as we are staying nearby for a family gathering.

If i could get ria to wait on my table everytime we go harvester we would be very happy ,ria is very enthusiastic and always willing to help as well as very polite and funny , you wont go wrong if ask for her to wait your table

Mom & I went for lunch today & chose the £8.99 for 2 course meal. After trip to salad bar had boneless chicken breast (deliciously soft) with well cooked jacket potato & veg. Chose lemon cake & ice cream (custard for mom) & it was fab. Large cake that was moist & moorish. Good food & good value for money. Special mention to Marianne, who as friendly & efficient as always...

Visited the Harvester with 12 family members. Service was quick and the food was good. One thing to remember is to put your registration number into the machine on the bar. A family member did not do this and unfortunately received a parking ticket, which put a damper on the night out for her.

The restaurant was clean and tidy on entering; we were quickly met by our server Natasha who looked after us very well during our stay. The salad bar was well stocked and all looked fresh.

Haven't been to the harvester for a while but it had been refurbished and everything was clean and fresh. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly and the restaurant was busy. The staff were very friendly but not intrusive. Would definitely recommend for both get togethers and quiet nights out.

Visited on my own on a Friday night (I don't have many friends) ... A lot of new front of house staff ... No bad thing ... Seated promptly at a nice table ... Given a food menu and had my food and drink order taken within minutes ... It was a Friday so it had to be fish and chips really ... Fish was beautiful and the new chunky chips are so much better than the horrible skinny fries !! Perfect portion size and definitely worth the price !! Didn't get the name of the waitress (my bad) but she was extremely friendly ... The new tablets for taking orders look good if a little clunky but it's a better appearance than the previous iServes where it was actually hard to tell if staff were working or just messaging their mates !! Good service on the bar after the meal and a decent band on ... Not much to dislike really !! Well done you !! :)

not bad, not good, fruit tasted like tinned fruit, bacon was not great, capachino coffe was foul tasting.

Me and a relative visited this restaurant and was immediately made to feel welcome by Lindsey, she was polite and attentive and sat us quickly. She served us our drinks and took our food orders all after recommending us many delicious options from the lunch time menu and a special menu. During the lunch rush it got very busy and I noticed that Lindsey was rushed off her poor feet! Noticing the other waitress, I watched her for a while and realised she was hardly doing anything, standing at the hot lights on her phone or just Moseying around ignoring that her colleague was serving multiple people at once. I think the waitresses name was Hannah, it genuinely made me feel upset to see because Lindsey was working so hard. Hannah’s attitude put a downer on the meal but hats off to Lindsey, she’s a credit to the establishment!

The staff cannot do enough for you here, the food is excellent and the kids love this place. Ask my children where they want to go and always harvester is the first choice. Thank you Boldmere

I took my mother to the Harvester last night 5th July. Although we live virtually on the doorstep she hadn’t been since her anniversary in 1998! What a lovely experience we had. As we were seated we were delighted to see they had kept the salad card which when we went over was stocked with everything you would want. All staff we encountered despite being busy were all very friendly and attentive. My mother had the half chicken which she said was “perfect” and my fish and chips was amazing.

Ate at Harvester Boldmere tonight and was served by Emma S who seemed entirely disinterested in us. She did not introduce herself, and perhaps more importantly she did not introduce the young girl following her around, presumably she was in training however Emma should have explained that to us rather than leaving her standing there awkwardly.

Went to this Harvester for the last time tonight. Second time in a month and food was dreadful. Salad bar is more like a trough. Ingredients were old, lettuce was brown and onions looking translucent like they were frozen. Food quality in general has gone downhill as it used to be ok. This place falling into a horrible rut where food quality is not important. Stay away from this place. Might as well throw your money out in the street. Never Again.

A nice pub but don't forget to enter your car reg inside the pub . Had an offer to try so decided to try this one Emma our waitress was lovely bright and cheerful Food was served quickly and was piping hot and tasted wonderfully over indulged this time so no room for deserts this time but will be back again

We visited with a large group of friends the service was very good and all the food came out hot and everyone was served together.

Me and my family visited the Harvester in Boldmere last week and I just wanted to say how happy I was with the service! Food was great, good selection and very tasty and the free salad bowl was a nice addition. Also Emma R who served us was lovely and friendly. Please let her know she's doing a great job!

Visited Saturday night 9 p.m. as part of a table of 9 to celebrate my God daughters 20th Birthday. We arrived at 8.30 and had a drink. We ordered our food, had a chat, went to the salad bar which was nice, ate our salad, had a chat, then our poor waitress had to tell us the ipad she had used to take our order had crashed and she had to come and take the order all over again. Also quite a few things on the menu were not available. So we waited patiently these things happen. When our food arrived I was really disappointed I ordered four dishes of the tapas menu, two of the four were not good, the loaded potatoes looked really grey and old and not very warm the cheese did nit look good. My calamari was burnt to a crisp and was inedible, my Son ordered a chicken dish and asked for the sauce to be served seperate as he was not sure he would like it, he was disappointed when it arrived smothered in the sauce, particularly as this was his second choice, his first choice being unavailable. We ordered drinks and a jug of water, the drinks came but not the water. He had a word with the Manager who was apologetic and kindly gave us 20% off our meal. Free car parking was welcome, the coffee was good. Considering the restaurant was very quiet, I think you could have done better. We have visited before when it was standing room only and the food was much better. Sorry Harvester, I rarely give a negative rweview but think you need to do better.

I haven't been to this restaurant for a couple of years, it's somewhere I've always enjoyed going. However, it would appear that there have been changes and now the menu is nowhere near as extensive as it used to be and is a bit more pricey. I also remember the portions used to be a lot more generous - when I go out to eat I want a meal, not a nicely presented child's portion of food. That's not a problem exclusive to Harvester these days unfortunately.

What a poor restaurant with really bad customer service! The sirloin steak was not available So I asked for an alternative steak ... But was told I would have to pay an additional fee ! As it’s company policy I also wanted to order a sauce and a topper ! So I was quite willing to spend too Wack ... And my friends and I would’ve shared a bottle of wine ! I’ll bill probably would’ve come to about £70 ! Due to the really poor customer service we left the restaurant ! This could’ve been Rectified by not charge me an extra 3 pounds for Different steak ! Considering the restaurant was at fault for not having an item in stock I do not feel that I should be penalised for a good this! Very poor !!!
