Harvester Pride Park Derby in Derby

Took our 15 year old grandson here for his birthday (his choice) also our 11 year old granddaughter. Went on a Thursday straight from school so got there for 3.30. Had the early evening set menu 2course 9.99 kids had 3 course 12. 99. Good value for money £60 including drinks. Food ok for a midweek treat. Burgers chicken scampi etc.. Pub grub. Service was good and easy to park. Not too busy at the time we went

A mixed experience, Gabrielle who waited our table was abrupt and rude in taking orders. She was often reminding us that we have to give the table up and rushing us to eat. Not what you expect from table service at all and I hope this is addressed! Other than this the food was nice! Karl the chef did a fantastic job.

We have used the Harvester in Derby for the last 20 years or so. We have always found the food to be spot on. The staff are very friendly and nothing is ever too much trouble, they are always happy to help. Thankyou guys see you soon

An excellent meal and service. I like the Harvester concept with the free salad but with the new cheaper 3 course menu I really felt it was spot on.

Had a lovely experience at the harvester today. Our server Ben was wonderful. His customer service was some of the best I’ve seen and he made our experience at the harvester really enjoyable. The food was lovely and portioned well. Will definitely return 👍🏼

Amazing people food and atmosphere. Just make sure you enter your reg when you park as you could get fined otherwise which I did but got resolved successfully. A++

We went to the harvester yesterday at lunch time and had some lovely food, we were served by, I believe her name is Jo, and she was lovely, made sure everything was okay for us and always had a smile on her face! We will definitely come back soon :)

Great friendly staff and quality food always great quick and reliable service

The place has free parking; waiter was very nice. The atmosphere was warm and we felt very welcomed. The food took about 45 minutes to come and we weren’t too happy with the quality. The pineapple and gammon were 10/10. The bbq ribs was very disappointing. Hardly had flavour and the steak was mean to be a medium rare but the meat was slightly grey on one half of the portion. We got 25% off using the app which was quite relieving especially because our food wasn’t that great

While waiting to be served we noticed Sharon was bobbing about busy as a bee. Sharon is a lovely, attentive, happy and engaging Lady. Our meals were cooked perfectly and presented beautifully, thankyou Ben.

No rotisserie chicken for 45 minutes and the chicken in my stack and my partners skewer was dry as a bone

You get exactly what is says on the tin. Food is fine beer is acceptable & ambance is the same whichever Harvester you go to. Having said that the Ribs are the best you can get in England & the Salad bar is worth a visit on its own. Huge shout out to Lin, who went above & beyond to deliver customer delight. She's a star & deserves more recognition. I'll be back

This is a very good choice. The staff and food could not fault. Harriet was a breath of fresh air very helpful and a great personality. Will definitely be back. Well done to all.

I did say after my last visit that I would not go again, but several months later, I did! I regretted it, menu is very limiting for someone with certain dietry requirements, (low fat). Time to think again,which is a shame because this is a very convenient place to meet up with friends and family. Update, getting very expensive!!!!

I ate here whilst on business, and pre-booked a table. I arrived slightly early but my table was available. Jess my server was friendly and efficient. The food (cooked by Aman) was excellent, although I think the prices have increased. I had the free salad, which was good, and the Original Combo. Great service and food.

Salad was very poor, food items had little flavour (tomato, pepper, lettuce). Waiting 90 mins for food and it not being told the wait would be so long was annoying, my 20 month old was fed with food I took with me whilst we waited. I had a free main meal voucher with a long list of exclusions, when I used it they deducted an uneaten child's meal from my bill, this was a meal(not a main) and was poorly explained in the email with the voucher. There was no ice in the drinks refill machine. The chips were very very very heavily salted, I was unable to eat them. Staff were fine and helpful - apart from the lack of informing anyone of a long old wait. I would not have stayed if I had known, I would not have ordered a meal for my 20 month if I'd known too

Really like food here but when you order it to house seem really disappointing because always miss bits out every time order from Uber I Order good amount time just never understand everytime ever miss my hash brown or my beans or my egg just piss take don’t understand how you can miss something every time you have list read from it double check the bags when send off easy . Other then that food is nice here

Booked in at the last minute after having visited Oxygen free jumping trampoline park. We couldn't get a table for 7 of us so we had to book a table of 4 and a table of 3, they put us next to each other when we explained what we'd had to do. Food was good, I had a 25% off food voucher as I signed up for the harvester club (free to do). Pudding was also good. I would definitely go back and visit again.

Huge thanks to Ed, Chris and the team at The Harvester, Pride Park for hosting a fantastic celebration for the Fairfax Meadow team. The whole team were super helpful and helped make the event a huge success, they genuinely couldn't do enough. Come here for the football, charged me £5 to park the car even though we were drinking and eating here. We asked for a table for 6 and said only a table for 4 so my two sons 10 & 12 had sandwiches outside seeing as they couldn’t accommodate us all. They asked them not to eat on site even though they were drinking and eating crisps purchased from the Pub “petty if you ask me”. The whole time we were sat at the table to eat there was plenty of tables available to accommodate us all but clearly didn’t want to be accommodating. I wasn’t impressed at all with the service as we had kids with us and we are a quiet bunch. There was literally about 10 people in the pub altogether so being more accommodating wasn’t much to ask. The staff at the Bar were lovely and nice but it went down hill when we wanted to eat if you ask me. Between us 3 adults we’ve spent a fortune in here today with drinks and food and wasn’t nice to see the restaurant empty with plenty of seats to offer. My boys had to go without hence why they reverted to their sandwiches in the car that were meant for the journey home. I am not one for complaining but it’s warranted completely especially when between us 3 adults we’ve spent £120+. We was definitely treated differently with us being from Cardiff and our money is as good as anyone else’s. Really disappointed over all.

Arrived and the chef stood at the front of the kitchen clearly does not enjoy his job, passive aggressively flipping slices of bacon. The lady serving us was lovely. Food came out a little too quickly, I ordered a classic breakfast. The beans were went straight back as they were stone cold. The ‘toast’ was warm bread, flopping after butter. I did ask for the bacon to be crispy, but not cremated and dry to the point it cut my throat as it went down. The beans that came back were luke warm and had zero taste. The only nice part of the breakfast was the poached egg. The waitress came to check and the meal was sent back. She offered another but I decided not to waste my time nor money. Aside from the dissatisfaction in the food and the angry bacon flipper the waitresses were smiling and happy to help.

We have been alot of times to harvester over the years and it never fails. I usually have something off the grill the 1983 combo is lovely and the potato skins amazing and I can't say no to a rocky horror sundae.The service we've received has always been very good cannot fault .10/10

The service we received was impeccable. Our waiter Ben was fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble despite a busy restaurant. Regular check backs for drinks and if we were ok and a lovely level of interaction. The food was piping hot and absolutely gorgeous. Didn’t expect the world from a chain and with a voucher but will return with friends and family 100%

Food was fantastic and we got a great price as well, only disappointment was that our waitress seemed completely disinterested and almost annoyed with us as customers despite barely speaking to us.

We arrived to get a table to be told we could only sit at the bar area. We placed our food order and an hour later the food arrived cold. Made a complaint to the duty manager who said she had only just served it out. Clearly the food had been sat around in the kitchen area for over ten minutes as it was not edible. Got a refund and left. Service was horrendous, not dining there again

Disgusting service. Thrown out within an hour of ordering a bottle of wine. We were told it was managers digression that they were closing early but the manager did not have the guts to tell us and sent a very unprofessional young lady to tell us to leave. We had not finished our wine and were told to leave. I have never been treated in such an unprofessional way. Absolutely disgraceful way to treat paying customers.

We arrived at our booking, admittedly 30 minutes early. The restaurant was far from full. We explained we were early and apologised. The host lady was nice enough, saying she would see if she could seat us early (again, the restaurant was not overly busy. A few tables full, including one large family birthday of 10 or so people, who arrived just before us) Then the 'manager' sue came. Complained LOUDLY and RUDELY in front of us that we were half an hour early and then stormed off. We should have walked out then and there. The host seated us at an empty table anyway, and we ordered drinks. Our orders were taken promptly, but that was the last thing that was prompt. With no warning, we were waiting an HOUR for our food from placing the order. No updates, and the only apology came when the food was finally delivered to our table. We ordered the classic burger, halloumi skewers and a kids chicken Goujons. The table we were at was swarmed by fruit flies. My husband killed 7 with a napkin in the space of 10 minutes. He then sat that the window was full of dozens of dead flies. We mentioned this to the server who said there was nothing they could do about it. When the food arrived, I was massively disappointed. Nearly £16 for ONE very dry, halloumi skewer with a texture like rubber, a stale pitta, a small portion of undercooked chips and some coleslaw .... Which is available on the salad bar anyway. This meal was NOT worth the money. After the attitude of duty manger Sue at our arrival, we didn't dare complain, and so paid and left. We will never be returning to a Harvester, that's for sure!!!

Hello, I went today to have dinner without booking a table and I was sent to the bar again. I would understand if it is full of people and is ov ercrowded,but not for more than 30%-40% of empty tables. The last time I did stay, I was in the bar and I was told the same, and the place did not get full during the time I had dinner. I would suggest they place a sign on any reserved table. This policy does not make sense for me. Is this company rules ? Also,the tables and the floor were sticky like I'm walking on glue. I obviously did not stay this time.

I've never had any trouble at the havister before. BUT! This time we went to our table as I sat down the seat was dirty with food on it. The main reason though was the amount of flies that were going around was awful we had spoke to a member of staff they said pest control has been phoned. We tried ignoring it then one of us had gone to the toilet and there were flies in and out of the toilet like I say I have never experienced the havister to be this bad before .

Best meal I've had in long time top quality food and lovely staff

Excellent choice on the menu. Good value for money, 3 courses for £15. Kids menu had 3 different price ranges and plenty to choose from in each section, dessert included for kids. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Delicious meal and lovely waitress. Service could have been quicker for drinks but all in all a nice evening.

Our server in training Evans was very attentive and gave us excellent service! Being patient with us as we went through our order of 6 courses Our food which was prepared my Bailey the day we went was perfect, the half rotisserie chicken was cooked to perfection, juicy and tender, the full rack of ribs were excellent and left a pile of bones that had been cleaned, and the impossible dirty burger was amazing, i’m not vegan personally but i’ve always wanted to try a proper vegan burger and my first experiences were not disappointing! However it was a bit tall too fit in my mouth haha overall me and my family are extremely happy and satisfied with every aspect of service we received today, thank you again to Evans and Bailey! We will be back soon! :)

Great food great value and service.

The servers were good but the food less so. Steak was good. Chips were good. Onion rings were not hot and tasted like cardboard. Mushroom looked shrivelled up. Blue cheese sauce was developing a skin on top. These components looked like they were not freshly cooked.

First of all. I am a massive fan of harvester, it's just that this one was a disappointment... As it is the summer holiday, I understand it is very busy, fully booked and we had not booked. We were told to say and order at the bar, It's usually table service well it was at the chesterfield and the Birmingham one, or am I imagining things? Anyway, we order food and are told there is a 30 minute food wait, understandable, but the salad on the salad bar was looking like it had been there all day. The food itself was tasteless but the steak was good. And the toilets were filthy. I still love harvester, but we shall Stick to the chesterfield one! I think they were having a bad day, I'm sure it would of been fine if they weren't so busy! At the start the staff should have just said it was fully booked and they could not serve us. It was disappointing and we won't be back to this harvester in the near future!

Clean and comfortable with a relaxed atmosphere. Good choice of food and drinks and food was well cooked and presented. Staff attentive but gave us time to browse the menu.

Shown to the table and there looked like the people who had the table before had been having a food fight the floor around the table was disgusting Had your hoover broke???? First impressions were not good. We’re not informed there was no rotisserie chicken and no ice cream until we were ordering so 2 of us had to pick an alternative. Felt this should have been told to us on arrival One of the drinks options we wanted was also not available The steak that was ordered medium rare came well done. We did mention this and the waiter did offer to get another but we’d waited long enough so just ate it. The waiter removed one of the drinks for us as a gesture of goodwill Spent over £120 and ended up disappointed. Will not be rushing back

Let's just start with 'We're going back' We walked in off the cuff as they say. They were very busy one side so we waited a little while before heading to the right which was the bar area. Got a drink from the bar while we looked at the menu via the app. Very polite and friendly staff. Food came quickly and there's large selection of salad available. Picture is of the Dirty Burger. It was lush. Very tender and very well cooked. If there was a minor megative it was the app. It just needs a minor user experience tweek. I had forgotten to order salad for my husband but the young lady serving us who was really polite sorted that for me quickly and without fuss. Daughter had an ice cream sundae and I had a chocolate fudgecake for dessert. Again perfect. Not far from Pride Park in Derby. I'd recommend a visit for food. There's also an outside area and there are trees around the area to shade from traffic noise.

Had a great experience with our waitress Jess, she was amazing and went above and beyond for me and my family including taking a huge interest in our baby which was great...

We visited the harvester at pride park Derby, - our server was Lewis, and i must say he was exceptional in every way. Very friendly and throughout our meal he asked if everything was OK, if we were OK with drinks, anything else he could get for us etc, a very polite and helpful young man.

I took my daugth on last sat as it was her 20th birthday the food was delicius fantastic service we were tild it would be a bit of a wait but it was faster thrn they origional told us will def go soona again

Got to love a harvester with unlimited salad bar. Nice menu and very good staff
