Disgusting service. Thrown out within an hour of ordering a bottle of wine. We were told it was managers digression that they were closing early but the manager did not have the guts to tell us and sent a very unprofessional young lady to tell us to leave. We had not finished our wine and were told to leave. I have never been treated in such an unprofessional way. Absolutely disgraceful way to treat paying customers.

We arrived at our booking, admittedly 30 minutes early. The restaurant was far from full. We explained we were early and apologised. The host lady was nice enough, saying she would see if she could seat us early (again, the restaurant was not overly busy. A few tables full, including one large family birthday of 10 or so people, who arrived just before us) Then the 'manager' sue came. Complained LOUDLY and RUDELY in front of us that we were half an hour early and then stormed off. We should have walked out then and there. The host seated us at an empty table anyway, and we ordered drinks. Our orders were taken promptly, but that was the last thing that was prompt. With no warning, we were waiting an HOUR for our food from placing the order. No updates, and the only apology came when the food was finally delivered to our table. We ordered the classic burger, halloumi skewers and a kids chicken Goujons. The table we were at was swarmed by fruit flies. My husband killed 7 with a napkin in the space of 10 minutes. He then sat that the window was full of dozens of dead flies. We mentioned this to the server who said there was nothing they could do about it. When the food arrived, I was massively disappointed. Nearly £16 for ONE very dry, halloumi skewer with a texture like rubber, a stale pitta, a small portion of undercooked chips and some coleslaw .... Which is available on the salad bar anyway. This meal was NOT worth the money. After the attitude of duty manger Sue at our arrival, we didn't dare complain, and so paid and left. We will never be returning to a Harvester, that's for sure!!!

Hello, I went today to have dinner without booking a table and I was sent to the bar again. I would understand if it is full of people and is ov ercrowded,but not for more than 30%-40% of empty tables. The last time I did stay, I was in the bar and I was told the same, and the place did not get full during the time I had dinner. I would suggest they place a sign on any reserved table. This policy does not make sense for me. Is this company rules ? Also,the tables and the floor were sticky like I'm walking on glue. I obviously did not stay this time.

Is ok As around not much to choose different restaurants with food.

I've never had any trouble at the havister before. BUT! This time we went to our table as I sat down the seat was dirty with food on it. The main reason though was the amount of flies that were going around was awful we had spoke to a member of staff they said pest control has been phoned. We tried ignoring it then one of us had gone to the toilet and there were flies in and out of the toilet like I say I have never experienced the havister to be this bad before .

Went at lunch time and had the 2 course lunch special, excellent value for money,huge portions which were very nicely presented. Should have got our hosts name but would just like to say he was excellent, very friendly and efficient.

Excellent choice on the menu. Good value for money, 3 courses for £15. Kids menu had 3 different price ranges and plenty to choose from in each section, dessert included for kids. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Great service very enjoyable experience sharon was very helpful we will definitely come back again on our yearly family Alton towers trip.

Our server in training Evans was very attentive and gave us excellent service! Being patient with us as we went through our order of 6 courses Our food which was prepared my Bailey the day we went was perfect, the half rotisserie chicken was cooked to perfection, juicy and tender, the full rack of ribs were excellent and left a pile of bones that had been cleaned, and the impossible dirty burger was amazing, i’m not vegan personally but i’ve always wanted to try a proper vegan burger and my first experiences were not disappointing! However it was a bit tall too fit in my mouth haha overall me and my family are extremely happy and satisfied with every aspect of service we received today, thank you again to Evans and Bailey! We will be back soon! :)

The servers were good but the food less so. Steak was good. Chips were good. Onion rings were not hot and tasted like cardboard. Mushroom looked shrivelled up. Blue cheese sauce was developing a skin on top. These components looked like they were not freshly cooked.

First of all. I am a massive fan of harvester, it's just that this one was a disappointment... As it is the summer holiday, I understand it is very busy, fully booked and we had not booked. We were told to say and order at the bar, It's usually table service well it was at the chesterfield and the Birmingham one, or am I imagining things? Anyway, we order food and are told there is a 30 minute food wait, understandable, but the salad on the salad bar was looking like it had been there all day. The food itself was tasteless but the steak was good. And the toilets were filthy. I still love harvester, but we shall Stick to the chesterfield one! I think they were having a bad day, I'm sure it would of been fine if they weren't so busy! At the start the staff should have just said it was fully booked and they could not serve us. It was disappointing and we won't be back to this harvester in the near future!

Great food great value and service.

Clean and comfortable with a relaxed atmosphere. Good choice of food and drinks and food was well cooked and presented. Staff attentive but gave us time to browse the menu.

Lewis was very welcoming and had good communication through out of our time at the harvester.

Shown to the table and there looked like the people who had the table before had been having a food fight the floor around the table was disgusting Had your hoover broke???? First impressions were not good. We’re not informed there was no rotisserie chicken and no ice cream until we were ordering so 2 of us had to pick an alternative. Felt this should have been told to us on arrival One of the drinks options we wanted was also not available The steak that was ordered medium rare came well done. We did mention this and the waiter did offer to get another but we’d waited long enough so just ate it. The waiter removed one of the drinks for us as a gesture of goodwill Spent over £120 and ended up disappointed. Will not be rushing back

Good food, reasonable price. Could do with a adults only seating area.

There was a mess up with my drinks a few times but Evie sorted it all out and gave us great service. Great meal

Let's just start with 'We're going back' We walked in off the cuff as they say. They were very busy one side so we waited a little while before heading to the right which was the bar area. Got a drink from the bar while we looked at the menu via the app. Very polite and friendly staff. Food came quickly and there's large selection of salad available. Picture is of the Dirty Burger. It was lush. Very tender and very well cooked. If there was a minor megative it was the app. It just needs a minor user experience tweek. I had forgotten to order salad for my husband but the young lady serving us who was really polite sorted that for me quickly and without fuss. Daughter had an ice cream sundae and I had a chocolate fudgecake for dessert. Again perfect. Not far from Pride Park in Derby. I'd recommend a visit for food. There's also an outside area and there are trees around the area to shade from traffic noise.

Had a great experience with our waitress Jess, she was amazing and went above and beyond for me and my family including taking a huge interest in our baby which was great...

We visited the harvester at pride park Derby, - our server was Lewis, and i must say he was exceptional in every way. Very friendly and throughout our meal he asked if everything was OK, if we were OK with drinks, anything else he could get for us etc, a very polite and helpful young man.

I took my daugth on last sat as it was her 20th birthday the food was delicius fantastic service we were tild it would be a bit of a wait but it was faster thrn they origional told us will def go soona again

Long wait for food , which was worth the wait , Food was very good , not impressed with garlic bread , would not order again . Steak was very , mixed grill was excellent , chicken was delicious . Our food was ok. Salad bar could have had a tidy up but it was very busy so all is forgiven. Our server, Kris was great.

One of my favourites for a quick bit of snap. Love my 7 ounce gammon with 2 eggs, chips and peas. Not forgetting a salad bowl starter and unlimited refills, god I love to get my moneys worth!

The food was amazing I had a classic chicken burger it had bacon chicken and some lettuce and i also had some dirty fries which were really nice Sharon and sue and all the staff were very kind big thanks for everything we will be back.

Food is simple, small portions and a bit bland but OK. Service friendly, on occasions a bit slow. Avoid during rush hour times, as the restaurant maybe empty the roads are impossible to drive on. Endless queues. It took me over 20 minutes to get out of the car park. It's not situated in the best location for this matter.

Service was quick and friendly. Sharon was our waitress and was very helpful and efficient. Karl the chef had made a good job of the food - the chicken was lovely and moist, chips very tasty and it all arrived promptly.

I recently had a meal from this restaurant and was very happy with the service. I have also visited the restaurant for breakfast and had the 'build your own' breakfast. This arrived quickly and was very good value for money. I would highly recommend this place and will be visiting again.

Friendly and efficient staff, gave a good service. The food was very tasty, I had battered halloumi. The portion size was good, with 4 good sized pieces of halloumi.

Very disappointing service from Duty manager Sue. We arrived at the restaurant for our 6pm booking but didn’t get our food until gone 7.30pm. After waiting an hour I asked Sue where our food was, she said she’d check, she came back 5 minutes later to say ‘they were waiting for chickens but no-one let them know’ I’m not sure what this means but she said the food would be just a couple of minutes longer but it still hadn’t arrived after ten minutes. Everyone around us that had arrived after us got their meals so I assume our order was lost. When the food finally came it was nice, although some of the sides were cold but the problem is after waiting well over an hour we’d pretty much demolished the salad bar and weren’t hungry. I ended up asking for a takeaway box for mine. When it came to paying the bill we asked if anything could be reduced, the waitress didn’t even have to ask why, said she would speak to her manager Sue but there was no apology. She came back and said she could remove the 2 refillable drinks from the bill meaning only 2 of us would get a reduction, we explained that we weren’t really happy with this and she said we’d need to speak to Sue which we said we’d like to. Sue came over looking very annoyed that we’d dared to ask. I explained the situation and she looked at me blankly until I politely asked if there was anything else she could do considering we’d all had to wait a very long time abs it had ruined our meal. We’d order more drinks than planned due to the wait so any of those could have been comped, we weren’t looking for a major reduction but she said she wouldn’t be doing anything further abs that’s that. Again there was no apology, no friendliness and quite frankly she was rude and patronising. I rarely leave negative reviews as you can see from my history and it’s not even the lack of reduction that bothered me it was her attitude and lack of any sort of apology that our meal had been ruined and we’d had to spend more money on extra drinks due to the time we were stuck there waiting!

Quiet our waitress was excellent her Manor was great and she was very pleasant. The meat prepared by Karl was super.

Lovely meal at the harvester. I have been twice in the past couple of weeks and our server Jo G has been awesome. Always nice when we come for a meal and we have great service from our waitresses. Jade was very helpful and pleasant while serving us, and the food cooked by Bailey was very nice.

The lady that served us tonight (sharon) was excellent. She made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. A very highly employable person!

Front of house was cheerful and asked if we registered the car. Showed us to our table and the name of the person who would be looking after is. The waitress was happy and attentive. She also asked if we registered our car. The food was lovely and nice and hot.

Haven’t been here since before I had the baby and I’d been looking forward to it. Food was great, staff accommodating to my boisterous boys.

The salad bar is well stocked ,never had a bad meal ,staff very polite and helpful, our fav go to place

The food and drink was average however check your bill as they add there own tip to your bill before you pay.

Our waitress Evie was so lovely husbands egg was a little raw and my onion rings were very burnt but it didn't stop a wonderful meal and the same bar was awesome x
