Absolutely TERRIBLE! I ordered 3 drinks while my sis has gone to get something from the car. When the staff came back she only had 2 drinks and saw there were 3 of us. Looking down on us and said SARCASTICALLY “OH!? THERE’S 3 OF YOU AND YOU ONLY ORDERED 2 DRINKS!!?” I ignored her words and tone of voice and said I ordered 1 Pepsi and 2 Pepsi max. Waited for quite awhile for her to come back to take our order. As we haven’t been to this Harvester for some time due to change of location and just visiting our parents, we did not know the changes. For Salad bar, before customers can help themselves once they have sat down and ordered drinks but it’s different now, we have to wait for the staff to give the bowl and make the order. HOWEVER, the same lady who was serving us, SHOUTED at my brother ACROSS the restaurant and said “YOU CAN’T GET THE SALAD, YOU HAVE TO ORDER!!!!” We were shocked as well as the people who were sat next to our table us. She should have came over to my brother to inform him and in a proper manner. I work in Hotel Industry and this is UNACCEPTABLE!!! VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Who would want to be shouted at, as if it seems we were there to steal and not pay!? First of all, she should have came and said “apologies but we will need to take order first and give the bowl for the salad bar, I’ll come over to your table if you’re ready to order. BUT NO! When my brother came back, of course he was UNHAPPY WITH HOW HE HAS BEEN TREATED. My brother said you don’t have to shout from across and the staff was very confrontational, she said “EXCUSE ME WHAT ARE YOU SAYING!? DON’T BE RUDE!!!” With her eyebrows raised and leaned back as if she was surprise of our reaction because of her ACTIONS. She repeated with AN AGGRESSIVE voice this time “NO! NO! WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY!” My brother then, said you were the one being rude earlier, you could have came over and said it nicely. The staff did not stop and tried to justify her actions. As we were hungry, my brother just said, look we are here to eat, we would like to order. She did not stop and said she will GET HER MANAGER! We told the manager what happened and he apologised and said maybe it came across differently to us. We said no, she was all lovely to all other customers she was serving around us but she was spoke differently to us. (Note-: We are asians and all other customers were English). He asked if we want to be served by a different staff and we said, yes please. NOW, while we were eating having our lunch at around 12-1pm on 2nd October 2024. I noticed the staff (the lady) has been GLARING AT US especially at my brother in between of her taking orders from the other tables. My brother have noticed as well and told us. IT WAS VERY UPSETTING TO THE POINT WE COULD NOT EAT PROPERLY BECAUSE WE HAVE LOSS OUR APPETITE DUE TO THIS DISGUSTING BEHAVIOUR!!! I asked the manager to speak with me in private, and she glared at me when she heard this. I told the manager, how his staff (the lady) has made us felt (horrible). We came here to eat and enjoy our lunch, not to be treated this way. I told the manager, this is VERY DEGRADING. How she treated us was different to others. I told the manager, do you know how we feel and how we see this???? Of course the manager, apologised and said again, it could have come across differently. I said no, SHE IS RACIST. We are not asking to be treated special. The Manager said, he will speak to his staff. TO THE OWNER OF HARVESTER FRIMLEY GREEN-: Please kindly look into this matter, it is unacceptable to have staff who mistreats your customers. We used to come here often and your staff has always been great and lovely! And we have never encountered racial discrimination at your restaurant until yesterday. I had breakfast with several aunties and uncles this morning and mentioned them about what happened. They told me they have encountered the same with a certain staff not just once. When they described the staff, we found out IT WAS THE SAME PERSON. **The staff (lady) was more on the overweight side, blonde hair with glasses.**

Really disappointed with our visit last night. The place was packed and only had 1 person doing drinks and about 3 staff serving (who then had to clear and make desserts too). Apparently they had plenty of staff, but the Manager refused to call in extra help. If that is true, then clearly making money is the priority, not making sure customers are served in good time and wanting to return.

Visited today (11th Sept) with my friends after work. Our waitress, Sadie was fantastic. Not only was she friendly and efficient but she also brought a lot of warmth to the service and really enhanced our experience. She’s a credit to the team at harvester! Even though 'Harvester' is an anagram of 'starve her' we didn't go hungry on our visit. My ol' Dutch came up with a plan to maximise her free salad bowl. She piled the bowl high with salad stuff and then poked a sharpened bike wheel spoke through it all. Then she started sticking stuff on the end of the makeshift skewer. When she got back to the table her salad bowl was about 18 inches high with skewered salad stuff. "Why didn't you just make more than one trip, my little plum tomato?" I suggested. "Can you do that, then?" my ol' Dutch said. "Yes, of course." "Now 'e piggin' tells me!"

Was sat at a table that was absolutely filthy, my son has autism and the table was in a alcove type place, we asked if we could move over to another table but was told it had been booked for 8 people so we couldn’t. Food was small, hardly any chips on plate, bread rolls were stale, parts of the salad were grey, drinks were cheap pop, paid £100 for food and drink that was poor. Desserts were good. Can’t fault them but that was it. Really very disappointed as we took our children for a family meal which wasn’t at all great. It turned out the table we asked if we could move to (which was apparently reserved) was free the entire time we were there. No one had turned up!

I'm never normally negative about places I've visited, but I was saddened with this place as I went a long time ago (years) and have been back in the area awhile and thought we would go for dinner. Online booking was a breeze, but then you get 8+ text messages on the day to confirm you're coming. We always arrive early so we can enjoy a drink before our food and admittedly we like to space out nibbles starters main etc. Firstly, the waitress was the best part and did everything she could to help but we literally finished a salad bowl ( the salad bar is still amazing and the best thing about Harvester ) and our mains arrived after we had asked if we could delay the main for a bit, but it was literally there in 5 minutes or less. We asked for it to be taken back, and this upset the chef who left it on the side loudly, remarking that it would not be re cooked. We became aware from other diners as we are all sat so close that their meals were incorrect, under cooked, or not as described on the menu and all I can say is I've never heard a manager apologise so much. When the food was bought back to us, it had indeed been re cooked as thanks to other diners ordering similar food, our meals were re cooked. The food itself was good and value for money but the place itself is very worn out and needs a refurbishment urgently, the garden is huge and dog friendly but the litter and dogs mess bags lying around put you off being there. The garden itself is unkempt and in need of attention. The addition of ashtrays to the outside areas would be a good idea as between staff and customers there were cigarette butt's everywhere. The building is in dire need of repainting and drastic repair and cleaning. Staff wise, the young girl who served us and the lady who served other customers around us were very good and competent, but the young men serving need to possibly get training in customer service as referring to people as "mate" when they are old enough thier fathers or grandparents is not polite. The other fascinating issue is the lack of awareness by staff that they can be heard when in the rear courtyard discussing customers and their comments again are not polite.

Tried to book a table here last night well in advance of the time but it kept failing on the app and laptop. I ran out of time to call them but drove 70+ miles to meet my brother here. Thought no issues right? When we got here and I walked in, a man looked at me and made a point of tapping a sign on a board, I thought he meant I needed to put in my reg plate. He then said 'We're closed, Read the sign'. The sign literally said 'Wait here to be seated'. The man then escorted us out, there was a A4 printout stuck to the interior glass. But I was talking to my brother while walking in. Maybe locking the door might be a more obvious sign you're closed perhaps.

My children and partner are allergic to milk. There was confusion and stress surrounding the desserts, whereby my daughter was served a cone with her non dairy ice cream, which she was advised was dairy free. It was not. Whilst my partner and I appreciate that the waitress was a trainee, the management clearly failed in this instance to exercise full safety precautions. Having discussed the situation with the manager Eli, he assured me it would be addressed in a team brief the following day to ensure all staff are appropriately trained before being asked to take this kind of responsibility. The manner in which Eli responded to our perturbance was suitable and respectful. I would be happy to visit again, as long as safety measures have improved.

After a hour of sitting at our table which was very cramped. The assistant manager came over and told us we have to hurry up as we only have the table for 1hour 30mins. We told them we are waiting on someone who got stuck in traffic. He said they have already booked the table out within the hour. At this point the restaurant was not busy and many empty tables around us. We ordered food and more drinks and the food was very poor quality. The steak (we ordered well done) was burnt (black) on the outside and very dry and under seasoned and the ribs were undercooked. The Mac’n’cheese was microwaved and only had a few pieces of pasta under the over heated cheese. The trainee was training another member of staff during their “very busy” period and our server never came and asked us about or food or if we needed anything until we have very obviously finished. We have been here before and never had this poor service.

Staff lovely and friendly and helpful. Yes it's a bit dated but we love the harvester salad bar which was great. We both had steaks, my DH was perfect unfortunately mine was mainly grizzle. Staff did ask if all was OK but after a stressful week, I didn't have the strength to moan. They do have a lunchtime menu, which would have been cheaper, unfortunately as GF and lactose intolerant ( yes i know boring) their wasn't any choice for me.

Whenever we visit our son we treat ourselves to a meal from Amish. Having eaten there when it was a sit down restaurant we continued to have take away food and have not have been disappointed. We had Chicken Passanda, Lamb Sag and Lemon rice. The portions were generous with plenty of meat. Looking forward to our next meal!

We came for a spa package, overall happy with our stay. The hotel and grounds are beautiful (esp as it was decorated for Christmas!) and all the staff we encountered from the reception to the restaurant to the spa were all really friendly and welcoming which was lovely. Spa - it was a really nice vibe, generally clean, changing rooms could have been cleaner. We had 25 minute massages booked, didn't get the full 25 mins (<20) but nonetheless the massages were pretty good and the whole experience was nice. Rooms have everything you need, comfy beds, only complaint was we had noisy neighbours next door who woke up early and bashed around a lot... better soundproofing or ear plugs would help!

I should have realised when I saw dirty marks on the front entrance. It is a basic pub. Only 2 people there when we arrived just after 12.30. The table was grimy. And wet. We waited for the rest of the family to arrive. The menus are greasy and dirty. But we had all travelled some way, and don't know the area, so we stayed. The starters were OK. Avoid the fish pie. It consisted of a very thick layer of potato, and a layer of fish, but no sauce around the fish, so it was very dry. We did mention this at the time, but no apology and no reduction in the bill. We won't be going back.

I've had the new iced whipped late twice now in two days and both times hasn't been great. They don't seem to do it the same as other places and this time they used caramel syrup instead of caramel sauce which is totally different and not the point of the drink.
