Had a lovely meal at the Katarina today with my wife and 2 children. Sharon was our server and she was very friendly, helpful and attentive - she even remembered me from eating there about 20 years ago!! The food was great and brought out to us in a timely fashion. Would recommend

Salad bar was empty. They filled it up after we had to ask for each salad. Salad bar is upstairs.

Very disappointing experience this evening. Nobody at entrance, so sat myself. Could hear loud laughing from the waitress upstairs, messing about with the chefs and slagging off customers, witnessed her bad mouthing a customer on the phone. Whilst 10 customers downstairs came in and left as were ignored. I was served by a fantastic gentleman here only two weeks ago. It's a shame someone like this is losing the restaurant business. Food was good though!

Always have lovely food and great service at the katamarina. Edyta is a superstar and very helpful. The managers on the door are very welcoming amd accommodating.

The place was lovely we were seated straight away and the server was really nice they salad bar was as good as always and the food was quick hot and was amazing and well priced to. Meet one of the chefs Amy and she was lovely to talk to and was helpful when finding everything we need. The toilet were clean and well stock as well overall an great experience and I will be back.

Food ok but too many products frozen foods salad bar uninspiring

Day trip to Brighton from the north Kent coast is always a great day. The Mrs knows i love a cheeky Harvester. Been to this one a few times. We look past the dirty walls because you know what you’re gonna get. So this trip was looking great until our food took over 35mins to arrive, when I got up to ask I couldn’t find her (she was on a break) the lady said she would be right back. As soon as I sat down our food was bought over with a “good timing” It looked great as you can see in the photos. Sadly it was cold. Every element of the plate. When I bought this up the manager came over. Apologetic enough but I got the feeling he knew the food was sitting on the pass (our waitress was in a break) So not in the mood to wait we asked for the Bill so we could leave. He waived the bill for salad and Pepsi.

Staff are lovely. Can't fault them. Food not so much. You're paying an awful lot for a main just to get a salad bowl. And the mains are a bit meh.

Shocking!! Bad attitude from girl behind bar out of chicken, potatos and salad bar wasn't stocked. Don't waste your money.

Our waitress was AMAZING! She was a blonde, Polish lady and the service was really top class. The meal was nice but not amazing. As usual, the salad bar was great but the nachos were very poor. I was expecting some lovely melted cheese but it was a small bowl with cold tortilla chips and a small dribble of squeezy cheese sauce and a few other toppings. I think for the price, this wasn't really great and i didn't really enjoy. The rest of the meal was nice though. Chips were great and chicken was also nice. We will be back as we had a lovely evening, I just wont be ordering the nachos. Thanks.

Serious supplier issues. Limited menu and salad bar. Wife's chicken looked like an old bit of jelly. We've been here before and it was better, much better. Service was polite and cheerful. Seems like the staff are being let down by their management.

Greeted by Lee who took us to our table full of smiles. Edyta took our order(again full of smiles) & friendly. Salad bar was full & fresh & meal took the perfect amount of time to arrive after we'd eaten our salad. Gavin & Scott were chefs on duty(I asked) as the steaks were cooked perfectly. The whole presentation was excellent & nice hot food! Overall this was a value for money excellent meal. Air con is a bit chilly in certain areas but we asked for a warm corner on arrival & it was the warmest area in the restaurant upstairs. The staff are all so professional & attentive...its a pity the harvester on brighton seafront is not like this one..will def return & highly recommend.

The food was great and well priced for 4 of us, and the boys really enjoyed doing their activities packs! Cassie was fantastic at helping us out with our table's food intolerances. She went above and beyond to make sure all we had was safe for us to eat. I was so sorry to not have any cash to leave her a tip, maybe making that an option on the card machine would be helpful!

Cassie was very helpful and friendly cannot fault any of the staff. Food was great have eaten here 3 times now this month. Can't think of how you can improve other than staffing levels down stairs everyone was extremely busy cannot thank you all enough.

Short staffed so a bit slow but friendly service so no complaints, I wasn't in a hurry! Steaks were decent, and the trimmings and calamari strips. Disappointed there was no ice cream available. Salad bar a bit limp but it was a quiet Thursday evening so probably par. Standard Harvester experience on the whole, can't complain :)

I went with my family.. The table was dirty, the menus were dirty.. The floor was dirty... Two toilets were out of order.. The food was awful... Half hot half warm.. Some dishes were completely dry... Worst experience in a restaurant to date.

Visited 27.08.24. Food was amazing - super value with the summer kids eat for £1 deal for every adult main ordered. Salad bar always a delight. My husband is a vegan, and the vegan menu was great with lots of options. Sharon served us and was attentive, friendly and bang on with everything we ordered, couldn’t fault at all. If we’re in Brighton again soon we’ll definitely be back!!

Cassie is the absolute star of the show- so attentive and polite. Nothing was too much trouble. She was wonderful with all the guests. A real credit to your team. Thanks Cassie!

Visit at 8pm. Salad bar a mess mostly empty. The main meal was ok, The waiter looks like he wanted to be elsewhere. Continues children Screaming. You would have thought it was a children's soft play rather than a restaurant.

Where do I start ! We arrived yesterday after a lovely day , .firstly I had to look for staff , to see if they are open, then finally took upstairs. Very shabby looking harvester ! Un clean. ..absolutely ages for someone to take our orders .eventually the cold food arrived. Along with drinks ....by this time we wanted to just leave ...I only eat the scampi chios was cold . The others was 2 kids meal n my daughter has a chicken dish... Now waiting for the bill and to pay must of been 20mins or more ,, absolute joke!!! So we left .I thought was it , drove home back to London..... Once I was near Crawley I stated to feel alit not right , but it down to long day !! However now home 11pm ish , I don't feel the best head hurts , my chest n heart pumping fast. . Next 10 mins the toilet is required fast , then hot sweats stomach cramps....now I'm starting to feel sick also !!!, by 1 am I'm vomiting hot sweats , toilet upset stomach my chest hurts sweating......now 3 am I feel totally unwell vomiting etc... .i truly believe this is from this restaurant... This harvester let's all the other restaurant down...poor poor poor !!! By the way I only had a ham sandwich n breakfast so my stomach and vomiting was most definitely from this restaurant... I can't go to work today due to still feel unwell.

Absolutely horrendous staff were chatting while we were waiting an hour for our food and drinks and have food poisoning from this place. Do not recommend

Me and the family went to the harvester to have a meal for my partners birthday and instead walked out and went to Eastbourne harvester outside seating area was disgusting and benches are broken and umbrella's broken or just fell down on us! 10+ Seagulls next to us eating leftovers on the bench sharp steak knife on the floor!!! Was UNSAFE for my daughter to sit and eat!! Never again!

This was our first visit and we will definitely not come back. Despite not being busy at all and 4 people working on the flood, out table was dirty, no napkins and the menu was absolutely filthy. Food absolutely bland.

Salad bar : limited items,but fully stocked Main meal : food was mainly warm,but not pipeing hot (patoto fries were cool) Sides: two bowls of onion rings were amazing & hot. Serivce: quick & efficient Bill : £91 for 5 bowls of Salad 5 main course meals & 2 bowls of onion rings. Drinks : water for 5 (Jug of water)

The food was ok. We got the unlimited soft drink but wasn't told until after we got it that it was only carbonated drinks. No soft drink which is advertised. My wife e finds it hard to walk and struggled to walk up the stairs. The guy showing us to our table saw my wife struggling up the stairs. Only to mention once she eventually got up the stairs to say there is a lift. Was not happy. The cook behind the cook station was using very obscene language which my son could hear and was asking questions. Apart from the food. Everything else was a wash out.

Came here for a birthday treat from my mum. Cassie, our waitress has been amazing. So friendly, helpful, nothing was too much trouble & she sang happy birthday to me with a cake my mum brought. Definitely coming again.

My Dad, Uncle and I recently had a meal at this restaurant. Unfortunately we weren’t impressed. We waited over an hour for food and when it arrived it was near enough warm. I had a burger with sweet potato fries - the burger was hardly hot and the fries were undercooked and cold. My garlic bread (a small roll size) was burnt and I thought it was quite expensive at £5. The service was pretty standard. I wouldn’t recommend going here sadly.

We came here at 12pm on a Monday, we got a table straight away and was told to order at the bar which we weren’t expecting as it’s usually table service at these restaurants. We decided instead to order via the QR code on the table. This was very easy and we were able to make amendments to our dishes as well. Our drinks came soon after ordering however we weren’t provided with bowls for the salad bar which wasn’t a big issue. We then ended up waiting 45 minutes for our meals which were less than satisfactory. My partner ordered the southern fried chicken burger, the chicken was burned, the bacon was undercooked and her fries were cold. I had the gammon which was very nice, however the things it came with weren’t the best. The pineapple was just the chunks that come from the salad bar instead of a full grilled piece, the egg was over cooked and had a hard yolk and the peas were just not nice at all and looked past their best. We didn’t receive any check back from anyone so couldn’t inform them of our issues. We used to love the Harvester restaurants but they all seem to have gone down hill in recent months.

Arrived 19:45 - No chicken available which made our choice of the mixed grills unavailable (?!) - only told this after sitting for 20mins- Only Steaks & chicken breast options available on the menu. steaks ordered but came with cold chips, overcooked and cold onion rings, it’s a good job that the tomatoes/olives/chickpea salad was available as the rest of the salad was not available. Not asked even once if meal was ok, probably because they knew it wasn’t. Definitely not coming again. Harvester- up your game 😕

We ate out at the Katarins Harvester at Brighton Marina got lunch today and had an excellent time. From the moment of arrival we felt welcome and at ease, with staff upbeat and light hearted. Our waitress was really lovely, very friendly and provided excellent service to us and our children (her name was Cassie). The food was good quality with minimal wait time and the environment busy but relaxed. Thank you for an excellent lunch.

Where to start.... this establishment is awful the food is diabolical, I ended up in the toilet all night and my child was ill for a week with food poisoning. We was there for a special occasion and the service was awful, the salad bar looked like it been sitting there for hours and had not been refreshed we had to wait an hour for our food. The manager was unhelpful and seemed not intrested in helping us . All in all and absolute sh1t show. Don't waste your time or money here.

The service from Sharon was excellent! She was so friendly and proffesional. Worked really quick. Made the experience really enjoyable! The other staff who came over were also great, lovely atmosphere!

Arrived and waited at least 10 minutes to order a drink. When we finally ordered it took at least 10 mins to arrive. Salad bar was empty. What was there looked stale and miserable. No rolls. Asked the waitress/manageress if salad bar was going to be replenished and she said yes but on our 2nd visit to the meagre offerings only rolls had been brought out. I ordered a vegetable tart. Worst meal I have seen in a long time. It was literally a large overcooked pastry cup with a spoonful of mixed veg thrown in. Looked awful. Chips were cold. Sent it back and they did take it off the bill. My partner did enjoy his steak and the mushrooms were good.

My partner went upstairs twice to the salad bar and noticed that there was food sitting on the hot plate and after waiting 50 minutes for our food he had asked how long our food would be and turns out it was the food sitting on the hot plate for the past 30-40 minutes!! When the waitress gave us our food it was stone cold but she insisted that it was just freshly made and walked away. Did not enjoy the food at all, burger had no flavour, my partner left 3/4 of his meal. Only positive feedback was when we asked if we could take my sons dessert as a takeout (we didn’t fancy waiting another 50 minutes for a brownie with a toddler) they came back within 5 minutes with his takeout box. Definitely wouldn’t go back, if the restaurant was busy I could understand waiting that long but was very quiet.

Fabulous lunch yesterday. Wonderful welcome & respectful consideration given to our groups needs. Lovely helpful & friendly table service. Absolutely made our meet up special for our friends Birthday.

I had the mega mixed grill, when it arrived the only hot item was the bbq ribs, the rest of it was warm. Also the steak, chicken and the gammon were very dry. Got my meal taken off the bill as I couldn't eat it.

Chris kindly found a table for us on a very busy bank holiday, Shanon kindly served our drinks and checked we were ok. Katie done a brilliant job and for her 1st day was the only one to check what's best value for money (none of the other harvester have done that for us). Overall brilliant food, service and team. I would happily go there again! Even mum felt the food was better quality and she is very fussy. Thank you all for a great experience!

There was nothing particularly nice about this place. It was dirty under the table and black mould around the window, half eaten food on the carpet. It needs a good thorough clean. Despite them not being busy we waited an age for the food. When we reminded them we were told it was the computer, strange that as the couple next to us ordered just minutes before us and we're eating theirs. The waiter said he could have the food ready in 15 minutes, seems he has just forgotten us,. He came along empty handed and said it works be just another 3 mins for the chips, I said if it's any longer then don't bother and îd time him. Obviously it didn't arrive in 3,4, or 5 minutes, and to be honest I wished we hadn't bothered. It was a soggy tart with chips and coleslaw, and the salad cart which in my local Harvester is always clean and well stocked, wasn't! Several containers were empty and what was left was dried up and looked as though it had been there for a long time.... It was a waste of money and Def will not return there. It needs good management and a deep clean.

Go here often if we get food at the Marina - super easy, great service and lovely food with a big menu so you can’t go wrong. Cassie was absolutely lovely with my baby brother when we visited last, so sweet and friendly and made sure everything was perfect for us :)

Ordered the vegan chilli non carney. Have had in many places before. Usually lovely chunks of veg wirh the usual spices. Normally a veg delight. Not so here. I got a microwaved reheated paste of clunk's of mush. Cldnt distinguish a single vegetable. When waitress asked if all food was okay I said no I'm sorry please return this. I was not asked why or can I get you something else was told we will still bill you for it. I'm not a narky customer and its the first ever time I have sent anything back to a kitchen. Waitress was happy for me to sit without a meal in front of me not eating a meal while my partner and son had full meals they got the burgers and grill meals. My partners grill meal when ordered we were told the pulled pork was off the menu Still charged full price for this also. Wldnt recommend and definatly wouldn't be back.

Food is always good and breakfast is proper! Staff are super friendly and helpful , one of the staff members named Jay made us feel super welcomed and made sure we had everything we needed sauces ect
