Awful 😖 Avoid! Unfriendly staff, food disgusting. I wouldn't give ANY stars! Dirty, cobwebs in the bar, outside tables filthy!!! Never again!

Dropped in for a meal while visiting family. Friendly greeting at the front door. Shown to our table. Alisha took our order, All I can say is what excellent customer service she demonstrated. Friendly, good character, good knowledge on the menu. Food was excellent. Well presented and hot. Overall an excellent visit which was made by the service of Alisha. She is a credit to you.

Sam our waitress was excellent ! Nothing was too much trouble . . We had a lovely breakfast which was excellent value for money - we will definitely be back ! Sam is a credit to ur establishment.

Food - the ONLY reason I'm giving it 2 stars is the salad is the only constant with Harvester ( assuming it's actually all available). No disrespect guys but the food is bad. It's just so bad. Like you know roughly what to expect and somehow you absolutely crush that expectation and make it worse. And that's HARVESTER, not this location or any one location. (Sovereign harbour Is worse, funnily enough) Service - Flawless. The floor staff are brilliant and conduct themselves well. They definitely make up for the food. Atmosphere - it's a Harvester. You know what you are waking into.

Kids running around standing on chairs and kicking a ball around was not relaxing parents thought it was funny and we're laughing . Feral children

Pretty good, really enjoyed it, I just wish they would cook the burger for a slightly shorter time when its for delivery, sometimes they are a bit stiff...saying that, still pretty good, and fab salad...

Went in today had a waitress who obviously didn’t want to be there she took a phone call in middle of taking our order and disappeared then a man came over and took rest of order, food was lovely waitress came back was going to give us bowls and walked off again and then gave bill I always normally leave a good tip but no way was I today

Very busy at peak periods so would recommend booking. Have a salad cart, food is ok. A little expensive for what it is but then again so is everything everywhere

Lunch time special not applied,charged individually. Only found at home. Phoned next day and although polite they couldn't refund the difference, about 12 pounds,over the phone so they suggested I pop in to get a refund. Yeah. An hours drive and nearly two gallons of diesel. Over the amount it will refund,so took my name for next time I go in. Great food but won't be popping in too soon. Shame.

Came in tonight for a quick meal and had great service from Lana. Was amazed how she remembered all our drinks and food orders without an iPad in front of her! Lovely evening out!

Came in for dinner on a busy Saturday and was served my Cassie, who gave excellent service and had banter with us. Our food that was brought over by Rebecca was delicious. Will be back soon!!

Honestly I had a great time , The Waitress Ella was amazing and made sure everything went smoothly and the food was good too.

We had a great family meal. We felt well looked after and the restaurant was nicely full. We enjoyed the food and with the vouchers on the app, it was good value for money.

Everything was great. One thing we noticed during our meal was that our steak knives were well past their sell-by date! The black plastic handles were either broken, piece missing, loose or cracked and about to break off. The salad bar needed a little attention too, they do tend to deteriorate quite quickly, where some items are not topped up or food spills into other compartments, it needed some TLC. But we had a great time celebrating my birthday.

Never ordering again. It was 50 minutes before they even started preparing it. Nearly 2 hours later got rotten salad, ribs with no meat and paid extortionate prices for waffle with maple syrup to have just a tablespoon worth. Don't bother ordering from here.

Been a while since last visited this restaurant, mainly go to the one in the sovereign harbour for the view. Came in for lunch today . Atmosphere all round was pleasant , greeted by very friendly staff who quickly showed us to a table and showed us the menus. Everywhere was very clean and tidy and well presented. Went for the 2 courses for £13.99 (main & dessert) . Food was amazing with good portion sizes. Didn't have to wait to long either. Great visit really provides a calm and friendly environment to enjoy a great meal. Hopefully back soon

I’ve only given 3 stars for quality, even tho it was very nice the bag my food was in wasn’t sealed, anybody could ov touched my food it wasn’t protected at all, I no no-one did but that’s not the point it should’ve been sealed…

Not a clean restaurant. After being put in the out back of the restaurant next to a radiator that had flaking paint. The table was sticky and the bottom of the table was cruddy, not dirt from the morning sitting. We were sitting opposite the chicken rotisserie you could see crudd upthe side. My husband visited the toilet which were dirty.

Had lunch here with my wife, the food was good, always like the free salad cart. The waitress was lovely & very attentive. Would definitely come here again & would recommend to friends.

Salad was stale tasting, only battered or breaded fish options. Everything comes with potatoes or chips. Garden peas were so dehydrated they looked geriatric. No options for alternative salads as a main. Both sides of the salad bar had the same options. Bread rolls were dried out. Won't be going back.

Foods good but missing the salad I ordered

Went here with a large group of people and the waitress was patient and really friendly, read back our orders correctly even with an allergy requirement. The food arrived swiftly and was hot and DELICIOUS! A few of us had the Beyond Burger and it was amazing, I also had a mini sundae dessert with a baileys latte - YUM! Almost forgot to mention of course the salad bar which I have always loved about Harvesters - and they had a great selection of drinks, I love trying the vodka soda with the cherry syrup. Will be back again soon!

Visited with work colleagues on Christmas Eve for a hot drink and lunch. Lovely atmosphere.

Food was awful the fish batter was full of oil and was not crispy, the chips where overdone and the salt shaker was empty. waitress was friendly. I went there for my birthday and It was not a good experience so won't be going back there ever again. overpriced for what we got and bad food.

The service was very good. It was busy and there didn't seem enough staff to be able to properly clean - our table was a bit sticky and they simply did not have time to clear up the food from the floor before the next tables arrived. I appreciate that parents should clear up the mess their children make, but unfortunately not all do. But the staff were working hard and doing the best they could under the circumstances. The food was fairly mediocre, the salad bar has gone downhill, the chips were poor quality, and what were those square fried things on the plate? The pea sprout garnish was so withered it needed resuscitating, and I'm glad the kids meals were only £1 as the burgers were very poor. The chicken and ribs were adequate but the presentation was poor. Just as well the serving staff raised the score!

Manageress and waitress were very friendly and helpful. Her staff are letting her down... toilet floor and table was so sticky! Salt and pepper shakers empty or blocked. Salad cart not being restocked. The food was just bad and having not even eaten an apple all day and hiked the seven sisters... despite that I couldn't eat half of it. It was so overcooked all of it and too tough to cut. Manager took money off the bill and was apologetic but her chefs are taking the piss on their wage either because they want too or because they can't be bothered.. which is still a piss take. 35-40k salary and they can't cook an egg. Maybe they need to be put on a support plan and a basic cooking course. Nothing difficult about a jacket potato and gammon.

Good food, but what really made this 5-star worthy was our server, Violet! Thank you for the amazing service, hope to see you again soon!

not a bad stop for some refreshments

Food is very average for the price. Chips were just warm when they arrived on our plates, they were replaced but almost finished our food when they came. Chicken skewers were dry. Two small cokes ordered, arrived in small bottles which were £3.40 each !! On the plus side, staff were very friendly and polite but will not be returning.

Fantastic breakfast with Santa experience

Updated, since a previous visit 6 years ago, which was a 2*. My most recent visit was with my kids for Chrismas breakfast. The help with booking over the phone was great. We got disconnented and continued straight back, no messy about. On the day of the visit we were greeted well with humour and smiles, it's goes a long way if you look like you like a your job which the staff on this day looked to be having. We met Santa at our table, and he was lovely, high fives all around, and really broke the ice with the kids. Didn't know santa would give a fist bump and drop a rap. Very versitile. The food was very nice and hot, cooked really well, the kids' meals were a good size for then, and the adult portions were more than enough (for me) if you went ultimate. Overall, from a 2 * up to a well-deserved 5* like over harvesters I go to. Thank you for fitting us in at late notice and making such a nice experience.

Have messed up here a few times now. One on my birthday when I ordered a vegan burger and received a very sorry looking bun with hardly any salad and 2 meat pattys inside. We gave it another chance yesterday but ended up waiting 40 minutes for our sides, only to find out (when we could finally get a staff members attention) that something had gone wrong and that they weren't going to be served. Our server said that she would never eat at the harvester herself and that a few kitchen workers had quite recently quit and mistakes were being made frequently whilst new staff were being trained. Won't be coming back. Servers were also not very attentive, at all.

Horrible smell from the toilet at the entrance, waited 45 minutes for our food and after finally getting our server’s attention, discovered no one knew what had happened to the items we had ordered. The food and service were both poor. After two prior experiences that played out similarly, tonight will be our last visit.

Excellent food, friendly efficient service

Absolutely dire. The meal came out and I thought I'd been served a child's portion. When I put the first piece of chicken in my mouth the rubbery texture immediately made me realise it hadn't been cooked properly. The waitress agreed without any fuss and offered a replacement. I politely declined and we left.

Great lunch catch up food very tasty and good value

It was a good visit, staff were friendly. The only trouble we had was our main meals were brought out while I was still eating my starter so had to get them to put it under the heat lamps at the grill area. I think they should have checked we were finished our starters before bringing out the mains if only to remove the plates so there would be room for our mains. Not a major issue & I would recommend this Harvester.

Called in late for a sunday breakfast was really good full English. Both girls who served us were very polite and helpful. Very happy with our visit and enjoyed the food and coffee.

The food was average. The waiting staff were great. Super friendly and helpful. There was a large group of us to manage and nothing was too much

No draught beers only bottled. The portions were ridiculously small and of poor quality. It was all very dried up and disappointing. My meal was cold and I. had to send back which I then had to eat on my own as the rest of my family had finished by the time my meal was returned.

Had a family meal celebrating a 30th birthday. The atmosphere was very relaxed and the food came out in good time. All the staff were great and nothing was too much trouble. Izy behind the bar was very helpful.

Booked a table at the Harvester, horse and groom for a 30th birthday. There was 17 of us, despite this there was no issues, we were seated together, no mix ups on the meals and our waitress Paige was patient and attentive. Would definitely recommend, food was great, service was quick and efficient and staff were lovely. Would again like to thank Paige and her helper, I think her name was Amy and Izy from the bar ensuring our glasses were never empty. Very impressed!!

Having been to harvester for many years and always good food however this time not so good. Booked online no problem got there staff were nice the place was busy as it usually is on saturday.ordered meals wait was about 20 min which was longer than normal but ok my wife had ribs which were nice but her chips were cool l had simply chicken and jacket potatoe the chicken was thin and very dry so overcooked for me we didn't complain as were very hungry at time. So sorry for bad review but meals just weren't up to usual standards.

The last two times I have been here, this place has been right proper rubbish. The last time was just abysmal, salad bar half depleted, as in, empty containers, no potato salad, no pasta salad, bit of lettuce left in the bottom, no sweetcorn, empty topping jars, and various other containers half empty, also, the bread/sauce section, no plates, almost no butter/spread, at least one jar of sauce was almost empty, and others well depeleted, missing sauces from the shelves too, and to top it off, the bread was crap too. What made it all worse, it was not even that busy (and no this was not a case of being understaffed, which I know does happen and which is sometimes a genuine reason), and no one came out to the salad bar until I was over half way through my crappy meal, which as a good half hour later, it should have be done a long time before this, and I cannot understand why the waiting staff had not mentioned it to the kitchen crew, nor why the kitchen crew had not been out to check, obviously nobody thought it was worth bothering with. Added to this, the food was trash, overcooked steak, over cooked sausages, over cooked eggs, chicken that was like powder, soggy/cold chips, cold peas, warm slaw, clearly no love had gone into the effort at all and it had clearly sat under the heat lamps for too long, again, which I cannot grasp cos it was hardly busy. It was clearly a, 'the manager was on a break moment', or the manager was simply somewhere else, prompting staff to do as little as possible, because almost all the staff were standing about chatting in the corner, behind the cooks counter etc, you could see them doing sweet FA when there were clearly things that needed doing and that should have been done and that should not require a prompt from customers. It was clear that no one gave a crap about the salad bar or the bread/sauce section, nor much else by the resulting experience, and even when I mentioned there were no plates etc, which they got for me to be fair, it did not prompt anyone to come and check any of it nor anyone to take a look at the salad bar's lack of content. New menu is crap, lost a couple or more favourites, some stuff has been reduced and in some cases a price increase too. I wont be going back, it is firmly in the overpriced, sub-par and generally a bland experience catgegory now, and not worth the time, effort or the money, even the low-grade maccies at polegate is better than this and a fifth of the price.

Food was good, always enjpy the salad bar. I had the dirty bird burger. Was a bit dry but nothing a bit of the kicking Garlic sauce couldn't sort. Our server, a lovely lady called Sam, was lovely and made us feel at home by cracking jokes. She was super helpful and kind. A real credit to your business.

We celebrated our sons 15th birthday last night, we had the loveliest waitress (i didn't catch her name ) we sat at the back by the salad bar, she was rushed off her feet but went above and beyond to make sure we was ok, got my son a birthday pudding, took photos of my family. Thank you so much :)

Ordered for 2 adults and 1 child. Took over 1 hour 15 to arrive and was missing over half the order. Driver didn’t care and no answer at restaurant. Not the first time and only ordered as daughter really wanted harvester as a treat.

Chicken was nice and moist and chips were good but the ribs were shocking barely had any meat on them and were very dry think they were overcooked. Won’t be ordering ribs again. Brownie was good. Nice meal overall.

Ordered chicken burgers and was sent beef. Against my religion to consume beef.
