I stayed just for one night as I was collecting a vehicle nearby. The selection was being made for commercial purposes based 100% on price, £46.00 one nite booked direct by phone. Designated car park included. What could one expect, absolutely amazing cuisine , few staff present , did they work ,nothing was an effort , every request met with a genuine smile and a " can do" ethic. I selected a single occupancy room with a double bed, bath and shower, streamed TV, all the little paraphanalia associated with a bigger spend. Everything worked, the bed was comfy, hot water, decent bath and shower, bedding was new and crisp. The towels were missing and soon presented upon request by the consummate professional reception/bar and restaurant lady Nero. I also had a starter/ meal and a couple of pints of local brewed bitter, I could not fault it in any way. ( Traditional Indian food ) In clientele terms it's accurate to say it was challenging on behalf of the business itself , in such a quaint village, Quiet, local forest walks available, I believe it's also canine friendly. The T.v's abound , Cricket was on so a few locals with that passion were in for a while, with them they brought atmosphere and general utilisation. My hearty congrats to the staff and Company, work in progress, a pleasure to stay there. Would I stay again, absolutely. Thankyou, P.S.

Property is in serious need of investment, rather run down. Positive: Good location, with friendly enough staff that can cook an alright curry. Fresh towels and basic cleaning for rooms daily. Negative: Mold in bathrooms with no ventilation. Worn out mattresses. Small TV that is unable to connect to the WiFi despite having the feature. Mains wall sockets that plugs won't go fully into, making electrocution hazards. Hot tap on the shower exploded in our first room and nearly flooded the bathroom. Sink not attached in second room, if lent on may fall on your feet. Massive potholes in the carpark.

Thumping music until 2am when the website boasts of 19 quiet rooms. The rooms are tired, the bathrooms mouldy, the TV didn't work. I honestly have nothing positive to say apart from the location was good. I highly recommend avoiding this place.

I should have spent my money on a tent, there would be more amenities. Shower did not work, flush on toilet sticks, window wedged open and single glazed meaning freezing room, couple of tea bags provided though no kettle, curtains didn't fit the broken window. Your car will nearly break upon entering the car park due to the crater in the road. Beer tasted like soap in the bar. Apart from that, absolutely brilliant.

Only had an Indian meal in the restaurant. Bar was very quiet, mind you, weather was awful! Hotel in middle of quiet village/town location.

The owners treating the hotel and staff horribly. I used to work there for a decade. The owners kept cutting the wages of employees, even refusing to pay me all together, forced me to resign. After multiple conversations and promises, they still haven't paid me for almost 2 months of work. (January and February). I'm not the only one. The remaining managers try their best to run the business but the owners make it extremely difficult. Avoid giving business to SK hotels, including the Bram.

Unfortunately, this dinner was a disappointment from start to finish. I would strongly recommend that the restaurant implement a staff training day, as the service was shocking, especially given the price point. For £17.95, I was served an elderflower fizz that was reminiscent of a Wetherspoons cocktail—no garnish, too much sugar syrup, served in a gin bowl with excessive ice and just a straw and stirrer. It took ages to arrive after we had to order at the bar, due to a lack of staff taking orders at the table. The barman who appeared to be working solo was clearly flustered and evidently required either help or supervision, as the drink quality, presentation, and wait time was just not good enough for the price. This was just the start of a series of disappointments. My partner and I were then shown to our table, which was in an empty second room. Whilst this may seem romantic, we found it rather strange, especially considering the other room was nearly full. It seemed like the seating should have been split more evenly. We were greeted by another waitress who seemed pleasant but was unfortunately uninterested and lacked knowledge of the dishes. When we asked for recommendations, she responded with, "I don’t know. It depends on your palate." Typically, I would have expected more enthusiasm and knowledge about the menu, but this was not the case. After selecting our dishes and a bottle of red wine, we waited. The food arrived fairly quickly, but the wine was nowhere to be seen. It’s standard for drinks to be served before the food, so this felt odd. When our starter was cleared, we reminded the waitress about the wine. She looked at us blankly before bringing over the wine list and asking which bottle we had ordered, as she had forgotten. When our main courses arrived, the wine still hadn’t come. Despite having pointed out the Cabernet Sauvignon twice, we were then informed it was out of stock and asked to choose another. I would have expected the waitress to know about the shortage, but we accepted the mistake and asked for two glasses of Pinot Noir, as we were already onto the main course. Having worked in hospitality myself, it is common knowledge that if an issue arises it must be rectified with a matter of urgency. Unfortunately, this wasn’t the case here. It wasn’t until we had finished our main courses that the wine finally arrived—without an apology or explanation. Throughout the meal, we were also not checked up on - another standard practice of hospitality, which made it even more difficult to address the issue of the wine. When the bill came, I asked the manager to remove the wine charges. Whilst he agreed, I would have expected him to be aware of the situation and offer compensation without me having to request it. As for the food, it was fine but nothing memorable. I had the linguine, and my partner had the lamb. Both were enjoyable enough, but given the £30-40 price point for the main courses, the overall experience didn’t meet expectations. We didn’t bother staying for dessert due to our frustration with the service. What was meant to be a special, romantic meal ended up being a major letdown and waste of money.

Restaurant area is super clean. Great Quarter Burger meal deal I had was well cooked, not greasy and most importantly well priced and super tasty. A little gem in the heart of Pevensey Bay! Would highly recommend.
