Harvester in Aberdeen City

Took some visiting family for lunch. They had an excellent time and the food was super. Big mention to Jane for her wonderful attention.

First visit as our son has just moved to Aberdeen & the restaurant is only a mile from his home. It has nice surroundings & sure the riverside location will be lovely in the summertime to enjoy the outside area. The menu has a large selection & the free salad bar is a bonus. The food was tasty, good quality & generous portions. We were served by Linda who gave good advice on wine selection. Her service was very efficient & friendly with lots of fun chat. We'll definitely be back as a family when we visit from Edinburgh. Our son's local now so he'll be back soon with friends.

Never had a bad experience here. We are regular visitors and are known to most of the staff. Linda served us this time and always takes time to chat. The portions are enough, but not to leave you short. The free salad is always a good start to the meal.

Sarah made our visit today so very enjoyable. She had the balance of being very friendly & welcoming while being very professional too. Sarah displayed today what I think of as “good old fashioned customer service”…it’s an art that makes you feel like you are the only people in the restaurant despite it being busy! Food was lovely & presented really well.

Once we were seated everything was great food was fantastic and our drinks were good too. The staff were all very friendly. Monia our server was fantastic. There are a good choice of food and drinks to choose from.

Just came down for a few drinks and a bit of food. Lovely staff (especially Kasia, wee bit nuts but brilliant!) half decent food.

The 3 of us had a lovely meal, we all chose from the Christmas menu and were very happy with both the meal and the service, from Monia. A pleasant surprise when the bill came too!

Very easy to book in for a table via the website. I came with my boyfriend for some lunch and it was amazing. Sarah our server was so lovely and helpful with our choices and we didn’t feel rushed at all. Overall such a nice experience

Excellent family restaurant. Food is good and the service is always good. I had the rotiserie chicken, the others had the full rack of ribs and chicken skewers all had clean plates. The unlimited salad is delicious.

Took my wife and granddaughter for a meal, shown to a table straight away, and the staff were cheerful and helpful. The food was amazing and good value.

Stopped past for dinner and to use a voucher we had been given after a bit of a bad experience elsewhere. Brilliant service, arrived early but were seated with no fuss, staff were wonderful, so friendly and attentive, nothing was too much trouble for them. Service was fast, Food was very nice, huge portions!!, we were completely stuffed. Also had no idea they are also a dog friendly restaurant, so we will visit again with our doggo in tow. Thank you so much for a lovely evening 🙂

The service was great. We did not have to wait for long for our food and drinks. The food was cooked to perfection, exactly the way we wanted it.

Great staff very friendly and helpful. Basic food but very good value for money the unlimited salad is always a bonus and a good selection.

Now admittedly I'm a fussy customer, I'm the fifty questions before I can order type of person, but Jane handled all my questions patiently, she was really informative about the menu, super helpful. We both liked the salad barThe food was good, I enjoyed the chicken skewers, I'd went for two on the advice of Jane when I described how hungry I was and I was glad I did, although one is a decent portion, they also came with a lovely soft flatbread and a big pot of sweet potato fries. The option of soft drinks with free refills was a good offer. There was a small issue with one meal but Jane dealt with it quickly, and apologised, really excellent service.

A fantastic breakfast as always! Food is always piping hot and fresh, the unlimited coffee is pretty good too! A really good selection of non traditional breakfasts too if you aren’t a full English kind of person!

TERRIBLE 🥴 EVENING MEAL EXPERIENCE , -YET AGAIN ! Visited last week, an early evening eve supper.... Not particularly busy at 6pm, ordered starter, course and dessert, from set menu. 2 waitresses working upper part, both could be heard very loudly dealing with diners, in an approach I can only describe as bizarre... To the point that departing diners passing were overheard commenting they could now remove their ear-plugs... Food mediochre, Steak over-priced and grissly, dessert was forgotten about by absentee waitress, who saw no effort to apologise at till-point when we left & gave-up, after waiting an age... Pleasant Manager, who seems to try his best, waiting staff could adopt a more discrete approach indeed and still remain friendly, it is not presented well outdoors, very scruffy and in dire need of a tidy up and refurb, as many have commented additionally. Possible ownership changes have left this Harvester neglected? However having visited several others elsewhere in the U.K, the issues at Aberdeen seem unique only to this branch.... Last week was my final ever visit, even with discount vouchers this branch is awful, as others have commented-table needed a better clean, floor was sticky and messy, several items not available and inept waiting staff, all made for a waste of money... My tip -AVOID!!!!

We went for Christmas dinner and was disappointed, we did not all get the proper starter that we had ordered, then waited 1 and 1/2 hours before we got our main course, one of our party had enough and left.

Its a fantastic restaurant! Its our favorite restaurant, the food its really delicious, and all the People are very nice! Monia was the waitress who served us and she is very friendly. And the prices are affordable!!!

When we arrived we were shown to a table but on reflection decided we didn’t want to sit there as it was quite close to the door and we were both cold. Sarah spotted our dilemma and immediately came over and offered another table. She quickly came back and took our drinks order and gave us our salad bowls. She returned with our drinks and took our food order which then arrived shortly. Sarah has served me and my friend and my family on numerous occasions and is very friendly, helpful and funny.

Absolutely fabulous experience today had been put off after a couple of poor meals a few months back but staff are always great especially Sarah. Food was 10 out of 10 today thank you Kait everything was great but Nachos and steak were the best!
