Such a shame this Harvester is closing. Always had lunch here when in West Brom. Great food, lovely atmosphere and great helpful friendly staff. Thanks to all the staff.

Lovely ambience, scrumptious food, huge variety of items in salad bar which is free with any main dish and amazing staff. Amy in particular was really friendly and polite.

Have been here a few times now for breakfast and each time it has been amazing. The bacon is especially gorgeous but all of it is lovely. Will carry on going back. The staff are really nice, make you feel special and nothing is to much for them. Also the building it’s self is nice and clean.

We only wanted to visit for dessert, which we explained to the Front of House staff member upon arrival. She was friendly and assured us that wouldn’t be a problem. 15 minutes later, nobody had been over to take our order or even ask if we wanted drinks. The restaurant wasn’t particularly busy (less than half full) so the staff can’t use this as an excuse. So as we felt like our custom wasn’t valued and we were being ignored, we left. During our wasted time waiting, we witnessed a couple stand at the ‘please wait to be seated’ sign for 3-4 minutes and nobody came over to greet/seat them, so they walked out as well. Two lots of customers lost within the space of a few minutes - well done Harvester for alienating people! You should be grateful for the custom considering the ‘cost of living crisis’ but instead you choose to treat customers who are willing to visit with a lack of service.

Visited on a Saturday morning, they had breakfast with Santa going on, everyone seemed to be having a great time. Breakfast was very busy but ee got served quickly with drinks and extra toast, very quickly. Delicious, hot, filling. Thank you to all team, especially the GM Mitch. Will defo recommend and revisit soon.

Arriving on quite a quiet Sunday (27/11) evening we were waiting to be seated but gave up and found our own seats. Apart from this it was a great experience... Food was amazing I struggled to finish it icl, atmosphere was great and had some good banter from the Shift Supervisor, Skye, who accommodated our every needs. Even after I scared her into thinking we were going to do a runner, lovely girl. (Wished I'd got her number/insta tbh but I'm sure I'll be around that way again some time 😊😂 p.s. if you read this cringy comment don't hesitate to comment back 😂) But no, overall was wicked will deffo be going back.

We went for breakfast before a little shopping. The staff were very helpful & polite. We had the breakfast & eggs Mediterranean. All the food was lovely & very reasonably priced. The manager split the bills with what we had so we could all pay on card separately so saved the hassle for us.

Had a lovely meal here tonight. All staff extremely pleasant and helpful. The food was lovely and hot all salad nice a fresh. One of the best harvesters I’ve been to for a while . Keep up the good work guys.

We were celebrating two birthdays today. However one of the birthday woman could'nt make it and so we just celebrated one birthday. This meant there was less people turning up. Rather than move us to another table, we were able to stay where we were, which was really nice. We were waited on by Kun, who went the extra mile to help. Only a couple of days ago, we went to a birthday and we were waited on by Oli, who was fantastic. As for the food, we all had a variety of food, where fish and chips was the most popular. We all agreed that the food was excellent.

We were greeted by kan who seated us. She moved chairs for me as I am in wheelchair. A lot of places I go never think of this . The service and the food was first class. A really enjoyable lunch . Will be back there soon.

four of us had been shopping so hungry and tired we went to the harvester, its in a good area local to shops and cinema so easy to get to and its has a nice bright outlook to it with the glass windows at the front and easy access for people who are disabled or using walking frames etc. we all started with the salad and then each of had a different meal from burger, chicken, pasta etc and of course the puddings so we where well pleased and had value for money the waitresses where lovely and took our orders quite quickly and we did not have to wait long for our orders but gave us enough time to eat our salad before our meal came, some times in other harvesters they bring your main meal before you have finished your starter

Omg thought I’d treat my two before they go to uni I ordered a nacho starter a lump of cheese stuck to 2 Doritos and it didn’t taste right left a horrid taste in mouth! Yuk! Dips plain and warm should have been cold !

I came to Harvester with a friend, after being abit skeptical about the mixed set of reviews I saw online. I had the cowboy burger and onion rings. The cowboy burger is very big ( two fried chicken breast) so I took it apart and only ate one piece of chicken with the burger. Midway, I stumbled into hard clumps of meat! Which I wasn’t very happy about at all. The onion rings taste plain and boring which I was also disappointed about. However, the bread is really nice (apart of the salad bar). The thousand island sauce is also nice. The fries were thick however small with the portion. Wouldn’t go here again.

Went here today, as it was quiet and somewhere different. Shown to a table straight away by a friendly member of staff. Having decided what to order waited, and decided to get up as nobody was taking our order. Friendly manager then came and took our order. After 30 minutes and trying to find someone to ask where our order was. Waited another 5 minutes only to be told it wont be long. After another 5 minutes chased a member of staff to see if we could pay for our coffee and cancel our order as couldn't wait any longer. Only to be told our order is 2nd in the line. Explained again we couldn't wait. The had to wait another 5 minutes to get our change for the coffee's we had paid for. No wonder this place is quiet, shame, but how long does it take to cook a breakfast? If it was busy we could understand.

Visited today and what a disgrace it was.

I don't normally leave reviews unless it's bad but as I was happy with my experience I'd like to leave a rare positive review. I was happy with the food and happy with the service. I'll be back again soon.

We visited early in the morning on Monday 29th July. Myself, the wife, two kids and the mother in law.

We waited about 3 minutes for our host to seat us. No problem to help ourselves to salad before ordering. We ordered 2 courses each for £8.99.

We have visited here several times for breakfast and it appears to be getting worse, there always seems to be something not working or somethings not on the basic breakfast menu, this week it was scrambled eggs !! Yes scrambled egg, u can have fried or poached but not scrambled !! Apparently this is because it is brought in ready made !!! Ready made scrambled egg, correct me if I’m wrong but is scrambled egg not easier to make than poached egg ?? It appears the “chief” is not permitted to make them from scratch using the same eggs that he would to poach !!! The veggie sausages were like bullets and whilst we were offered a replacement we had already waited 20 minutes to be served and another 20 minutes for our cooked breakfast !! The previous time we went there their was no continental by which I mean fruit yogurt bread ! Crumpets n muffins because the island had broken down !! Why we can’t have bread crumpets and muffins regardless just amazes me, to say Harvester West Brom hS gone down hill is an understatement !!

Popped in for a quick dinner after a great couple of hours shopping .. the waiting staff were lovely and efficient. We were given a decent amount of time befor being asked if we were ready to order.. my only issue was that I watched the chef in the open kitchen on his phone which wasntbtye best but I ignored it .. as my sons meal waited on the hot plate I watched the chef mix a sauce with his finger and wiped his hand on his cloth the place it on a plate I though to myself theres no way hes going to serve that to someone so i was horrified when the waitress brought that plate over to me.. I immediately asked the waitress to replace this sauce with a new one that had not be mixed with the chefs finger.

Ordered a full English breakfast, which was tasty and a good price. Also brought a coffee, which came with unlimited refill. The other half ordered pancakes, which she enjoyed and said they tasted fresh.

Friendly staff, but that's it I'm afraid, no chicken breast, no sausages, I opted for the sticky salmon which I was told would take 20 minutes but took about an hour to arrive and the rice was freezing cold, don't understand why it took so long as there was only maybe 10 people in the restaurant. So during our wait we naturally hit the salad bar which unfortunately was pity full. No white bread rolls, no pasta, no potatoe salad, very little salad left and what was left was dry, there was 3 dodgy looking rice concoctions which was swimming in some weird looking liquid. Simply awful.

If I ask my family where do you want to go eat. They always say Harvester in West Bromwich. As it has something for everyone.

I went there today with a friend and we ordered the all in unlimited breakfast. The waitress told us the chef would cook anything we wanted and have as much as we wanted. Our breakfast arrived cold! Missing off sausages and eggs fried eggs were cold and hard. They said they had ran out of sausages and the other customers were also complaining that their food too was cold and missing off sausages, avocados and their eggs weren't cooked very well from what they had shown us. I was appalled. Poorly run and bad attitudes from staff. Never eating there again

Dont bother go somewhere eles food was cold when it did arrive which was 45 mins and they got order wrong , staff were a bit naughty as we had ordered food from menu , which they had given us once seated, that was available on special at a lower price but was not told.

Received this for my meal on Monday 04th February 2019 before I had eaten. 7 chips, coleslaw which looked like it was from someone else’s plate, overcooked corn and 3 leaves. Absolutely disgusting, plus we had to wait well over and hour for our food and the restaurant was pretty empty.

Came here for lunch when out shopping. Has spicy sweetcorn fritters and pulled pork quesadilla to share plus salad bar. Salad bar was a little lacking with a lot of things not in stock such as thousand island and French dressings. The food itself was tasty but the quesadilla was so spicy it made your mouth burn. When opening it up it must have contained 15+ jalapeños, once taking some of these out it was much better but slightly sweet, staff lovely and food came quickly, would come again but wouldn’t have quesadilla.

Today I went to harvester, quite hungry but not hungry enough to get a big main meal, so I ordered off the ‘feel good’ menu which has a smaller amount of calories bur it never mentioned having a small amount of food. In my meal I was meant to get butternut squash, quinoa, soya beams and tofu skewers also assorted salads and broccoli. What I received was cous cous, spinach leaves, grated carrot, three skewers with two pieces of tofu each, two short pieces of broccoli and no tomatoes.

visited here on 6-11-18 at 8.30pm what a mistake, went in and waited 5 minutes at the front desk nobody came to us. we had to go to the bar to get attention. we finally got seated and ordered our food within 5 minutes. 30 minutes later i asked the waitress if our food was coming, she went to check and returned saying it would be a few more minutes. 20 minutes after that we asked again for our food, we were told it was being plated and offered a free drink for our trouble which we accepted. and after 1 hr 5 minutes our food finally arrived. and it was just terrible. my chicken breast was way over cooked, steamed veg was luke warm, mash was like pulped cardboard. i ate it because i was starving. my wife had the frenchie burger which she took 2 bites out of and pushed it too the side of the table. overall , absolutely terrible. would not visit this harvester ever again, not even if the food was free. 1/10, and thats being generous.

Visited this restaurant lunchtime today[22/10/18]. My wife and myself fancied a salad [have done this before and comparatively healthy as a meal], at £4-49p each, reasonably priced, except that choice was limited due to doubling up on coleslaw, due to no potato salad, and no cucumber, although both listed on the labelling.

I went to harvester for the first time,I enjoyed the food,good choice for my great granddaughter who is 18 months old,i enjoyed the choice of salad to eat,The waiter was very friendly I will visit again.

Me & my husband like to come to harvester every time I have a Sunday morning off work, as I usually work on breakfast at a different site. I have always found it friendly and the food and service are usually exceptional. However when we visited on Sunday 30th September what a difference. Firstly we had a wait when we came in and it was the chef who gave us a menu we picked a table. The young waitress was to busy cleaning a table and did not come over to us for about 10 minutes. Then when I ordered my poached eggs I was told they had no poached eggs or fried in fact they only had scrambled, after a while we ordered with scrambled as didn't have much choice. When breakfast came sausages were raw inside hash browns cold,beans cold my husband had steak medium which came out rare.even the music is usually nice & relaxing but we sat by toilets and all we could here was very loud r&b; music coming from the serving hatch where they prepare the meals. The staff looked very miserable I don't usually complain as I said I am a breakfast waitress myself and I no the procedure but I found I had no choice as if this is how people are treated you are going to loose a lot of guests and it's a shame as your usually a brilliant place to come

got there at midday, ordered our main meal , went and got drinks and a bowl of salad . not halfway through eating our salad the waiter delivered our main meal. I left it on the side as I hadn't finished the salad. within a minute another waiter asked if I wanted it boxed to take away. I explained that I hadn't even started it due to the fact the main meal arrived before I had eaten my salad. I felt very rushed and with the price of the drinks I felt it is getting quite expensive . on reflection I didn't feel satisfied at all in fact we left feeling we had been rushed and did not enjoy the experience. it was on a Thursday and not busy at all

For a change from the usual eating places we thought we’d try Harvester. However after standing and waiting and waiting and waiting to be even be acknowledge by any member of staff inclusive of the manager we decided to turn round and leave. I couldn’t understand as it was quite and by the time we left there was a que waiting to go in.

Came for a family lunch and it wasn’t busy at all only another 3 family’s in, food came and it was stone cold,dry and just chucked onto the plate. One of the front of house team threw several dirty looks towards me and even nearly pushed me out of the way as to get past me (baring in mind there was another route and I was sorting my child). Doubt we will be eating here again. Used to be nice food and nice staff.

Salad bar good. Large choice on menu which is good. Food is tasty and particularly recommend the fish and chips. Great place to eat with family and friends as something for everyone.

Hadn't had a breakfast here in a couple of years, so popped in one morning with the Mrs & Kid. The breakfast bar seemed limited compared to last time, & they had a lot of vegetarian/vegan stuff awaiting delivery, so the wife had to eat basic stuff from that breakfast bar. What they did have in stock was nice, but all in all, nothing to shout about.

I am giving 2 stars for the brilliant service. Food-wise there was nothing much for me to eat because most vegetarian options hadn’t been delivered that morning.

Food was nice but it just ages to come out and it wasn't even busy! We then ordered dessert but asked if it could be taken away and they said no so we said okay. they presumed we had said leave it and cancelled our order and didn't even tell us so we were waiting half an hour for our dessert!!! Pre ordered our food for a work lunch, but waited ages for our food, which had 2 meals missing from 14 when it eventually arrived. The salad bar was badly stocked and my meal which was a feel good salad, promised roasted butternut squash, char grilled broccoli and grapes was terrible the butternut and broccoli were completely raw and there were no grapes. After 2 hours the deserts (also pre ordered) had not arrived. It was unbearably hot with no air conditioning on, the place was not overly busy but service was shocking.

We visited harvester for a family meal. Friendly service and quick with food order but honestly the food was such a let down I had to give this review a very poor rating. The food tasted like it had been left over and reheated. The chips were hard and stale. I ordered a peri peri burger which tasted tangy and had no resemblance to a peri peri flavour at all. We also ordered the fish and chips which wasnt hot and tasted as though it was around 5 mins from going completely cold. It wasn’t fresh fish it tasted like frozen fish you can buy from a supermarket. Overall a very disappointing meal that came at a pricey cost of £54 for 5 of us so it wasn’t money well spent. Would not visit again and would advise if you are in West Bromwich new square you take a trip to Nando’s or the burger stand!

My husband and I had a very disappointing experience at this harvester. When we came to ordering our meals my husband ordered the rotisserie chicken and I ordered jambalaya. We were told there was a 30 minute wait on the chicken, when we said we would wait for this we were told that it wasn't possible as it would hold up other tables orders, it was very quiet in the resturant. As we were eating our salad we were told that the jambalaya wouldn't be able to be served either as it was still frozen. We weren't ready for our mains so we were unsure as to why this couldn't have been cooked. As we both couldn't have our chosen meals we would have expected to have some form of compensation however we were told that this wasn't possible. Ice cream was also off the menu. We won't be in any hurry to return here.
