We discovered this great bakery a few years ago when visiting a friend. Every time we're in the area now, we endeavour to check this place out. We love the french style patisserie, especially the Pain aux Chocolat, Cinnamon roll and Pain aux raisin. It's cozy place to relax. Away from the busy high street, Not really a place to work as there's limited seating and communal dining tables.

Amazing bakery! Cute atmosphere. I have been a few times and would definitely say it’s one of the best bakeries in the area.

I am so lucky to live around the corner from this wonderful bakery. Great coffee, huge croissants and the best baguettes this side of the channel.

Wonderful bakery. Quite surprising, as it is in a really unassuming location. They do some products really, really well. The croissants (all flavours) are truly the best in London; best outside of Paris, in my opinion. Other notable items are the olive stick and the milk & dark chocolate mousse cakes (superb!)

They have always had somewhat surly staff, but it's one of the few cafes with nice ambience in an otherwise underwhelming area. But now they have covered up all the plugs, so you cant work on a laptop or your phone. Be warned. If you've come to do a bit of work, go elsewhere. They just want you to consume your overpriced, 300% margin products quickly and leave.

I went to buy some loaves and rolls. Unfortunately, I lost my appetite when I saw files sitting on the loaves. The rolls were average. Considering the price, I won't visit again.

Lovely, friendly staff, great coffee and amazing pastries and breads made on site. Wish I had this on my doorstep as my local bakery. Lucky, lucky locals!!

This place is hidden off Kilburn high road but a must go! The coffee is delicious and the quality of the food is outstanding. Very quaint and the staff are so friendly.

the best , the friendlies and the MOST DANGEROUSLY DELICIOUS bakery in north west london. an almost 'family run' feel with delicious pastries and breads made on site. that's right - they bake and prepare all the food right there. a small staff of bakers and baristas but BIG FLAVOURS and so much more charming than the regular high street chain bigger names the croissants , plain, almond, custard, are SO tasty, so naughty, but so irresistible. also patiserie treats like guiness cake and lemon tart. also savoury lunch choices from soups to spinach ricotta roll. all rich in flavour and the perfect texture. friendly baristas serve all the coffee varieties you could wish for. your heart will love 'hart & lova' and your palate will too.

I moved in the area in June 2020, under 5 min walk away from this bakery. Due to covid they have been closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, which are my only days off int he week. Since June, I have been passing in front of the shop on my way to work and always wanted to go! My boyfriend works from home and he started going every day for his morning coffee and pastry. He would never stop talking about how incredible this place is and how friendly the staff was. A few weeks ago I managed to get a different rota, AND I FINALLY WENT. MULTIPLE TIMES through the month. THIS PLACE IS JUST SO AMAZING. everything is freshly baked. The guys working there, are the most helpful, kind, friendly staff. They remembered my coffee after the second time I went there, and made me feel like I was already a regular. YOU MUST TRY THEIR PAN AU CHOCOLAT!!! BEST ONES I HAD IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. Well done to the staff, the bakers and the owners for having such an amazing business! MY FAVOURITE PLACE IN KILBURN BY FAR <3

Amazing coffee and baked goods. Always hits the spot. The custard croissants are to die for. Definitely worth a visit!

Believe me I've eaten lots of almond croissants and these are the best you will ever taste. Crisp outside with just the right of amount of dense layered resistance inside. Pain au raisins are exceptional too. All perfectly baked. Wish I lived nearer, but just as well that I don't otherwise I'd be twice the size. Well worth making a detour for and so important to support quality like this during Covid and beyond.

What a lovely place to have coffee with loved ones. It is small cake and coffee shop, the lady owner is very lovely and does all cakes herself in the basement kitchen.

Vivo en el área y he estado aquí varias veces. La última vez que un grupo de nosotros compró un café, pero tuvimos que llevarlo afuera porque teníamos un perro (que no dejan entrar). I love this place. I like the ambience and the look of the patisserie, savouries and breads. The only thing that disappoints is the lack of variety in gluten free products.There have been four gluten free cakes, an almond cake &amp; raspberry (very nice), another berry cake (ok but a little 'spongey/rubbery' in texture, a carrot cake (sadly not offered any more, and two rich chocolate type cakes... both nice. Nowadays it is usually the almond and raspberry that's the only one on offer... I need variety! How I'd like a great plain or sultan scone, a nice savoury quiche, a GF croissant!!! ... Considering all the recent articles on how bad sugar is for us it would be great to have some fruit puree sweetened produce too... or something that as bad as sugar... I went to have lunch with a friend. The only thing I could have was soup... no gluten free bread or rolls and all the beautiful looking savouries were not suitable for me... Nowadays I just call in occasionally for a matcha tea or a coffee if I'm passing.

Popped in for a coffee. This is a really nice cafe, friendly staff, fantastic food etc. The food is all freshly made and is delicious. Would definitely return :)

Mi novio y yo fuimos a tomar un café para llevar y algo para picar en el desayuno. Me quedé impresionado con la calidad de mi Flat White y, cito, 'El mejor croissant que he tenido', el croissant de crema que es. Era un lugar en el que necesitaba parar, caminar y llevar. Solo hicimos una breve visita, pero el mostrador estaba lleno de hermosos postres, el personal era encantador y el ambiente era acogedor y agradable. Definitivamente volveré para mi piso blanco. . . todo el camino desde Southampton!

Conocí a algunos amigos en Belsize Road y, después de comer, caminaron a casa y caminé hacia el autobús, notando la gran pequeña panadería, escondida, como si no viviera o pasara, como yo. Nunca podría haber pasado por delante, ya que parecía tan interesante con las mesas afuera, así que se cruzó. Compré unos hermosos pasteles, crema pura y fruta maravillosa. Quería pedir un pastel de cumpleaños para mi visitante el próximo fin de semana. Así que mientras esperaba, disfruté un verdadero té de menta y observé lo que comía la gente. Are here twice in two days! It’s a hidden gem with some amazing, freshly made quiches, pastries and other treats. Some say this place might be slow but it’s small, personable and worth a wait (if you experience one).

Stumbled across this bakery by accident. Quaint interior, nice food and pleasant and helpful staff. It is not on a major road and intimate setting as there are not many tables.

Pequeño lugar con buena pastelería, croissants y pain au chocolat. No probamos la tarta pero tenían buena pinta. Llegó allí un par de veces para desayunar como visitar familiares en la zona, y nos ha impresionado el chocolate caliente y pasteles deliciosos.

Avevo voglia di provare questa bakery da tempo e, quando finalmente ne ho avuto la possibilità, non ha deluso le mie aspettative. Ho preso un ottimo caffelatte e un cornetto alla mandorla superlativo! Un concentrato di burro e goduria non adatto a chi è a dieta ma ci sono opzioni per tutti, tranquilli! Il mio ragazzo ha preso un succo di mela e la guinness cake anche questa davvero molto buona! Consiglio a tutti di venire qui!

Me pareció que esta panadería puramente por casualidad cuando visite a un amigo en la zona y qué maravilloso hallazgo. La panadería en sí es precioso. Luminoso, espacioso, bien presentada y la comida deliciosa, pero fue el personal el que realmente hizo mi visita tan agradable. Mujer joven que no encantadora dos podría haber sido más amable y servicial. Lo recomiendo encarecidamente a cualquiera que quiera un lugar agradable para comer. Hay una buena selección de comida con algunas buenas opciones vegetarianas. Aparte de los pasteles típicos, pasteles, sándwiches, ensaladas, bebidas, etc. también tienen el desayuno y el almuerzo, que tengo entendido que hay que reservar los fines de semana, porque la gente también disfruta comiendo allí. Es un gran lugar para familias, pop y ver por ti mismo.

Carisimo fuimos a desayunar y según la carta era 3,50 libras nos cobraron una barbaridad salimos disilucionados las dos parejas que fuimos. desayunamos 4cafes y 4mini molletes pequeños con mantequilla y nos compraron 20 libras, aparte la mantequilla. 0,50 cent. cada una para el mini pan. un robo vaya. y no te dan explicaciones.

Very sympathetic café, looks good, very friendly service, long opening hours. Great coffee and a large selection of pastries. Try the toasted English muffin with avocado bacon and poached egg! A fantastic breakfast. It's quite an oasis around here..

I ordered a cup of tea and was told to take a seat and it would be brought over shortly, which it was. Large mug, plenty of milk (which I didn’t need, but nice to have). A wide selection of pastries on offer, but I wasn’t hungry so can’t really comment other than to say they looked delicious. A sign stated that past a certain point they’d appreciate it if there were no buggies, owing to lack of space, which seems reasonable. People were working on laptops, but I couldn’t see any notice about free WiFi, so can’t elaborate on that.

I've been longing for a local cafe like this. I really miss local bakeries with freshly baked bread. Supermarket 'bakeries' don't cut it and I'm not a fan of Gail's.

We had breakfast at this beautiful cafe two mornings whilst in London. The staff are delightful and the food delicious. I also bought a cake to take away as I couldn't resist! The decor is really stylish and welcoming. There was a stream of people getting take away coffee both mornings who were clearly regulars. The staff had put up drawings done by children visiting the cafe and these made me smile as I love to see child friendly places { I am a teacher and a grandma! } We thoroughly recommend Hart and Lova. Fantastic!!

Hart &amp; Lova is an amazing bakery/cafè. I am so lucky to have it just few minutes from my house. I go there all the time and the great homemade cakes and pastries are always overcoming my expectations. You should totally try also the olive baguette!! This place is a little corner of joy and peace in a busy city as London.

Nice, cozy place to spend a rainy afternoon cocooned by tea and cake. Prices are slightly higher than places like Costa, but this is so much better! Plus I rather pay 20p extra than sit at a sticky table with people eating chicken wings brought from the nearest deli

Been back for a second time and it did not disappoint. This time tried tomato bread rolls, lovely and the Hot Chocolate is still good. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful and the choice of options is great. We have yet to try the croissants which is a popular choice so we will have to go back.

This is a very lovely small cafe where the make great coffee and fresh croissants. The only downside is that it's so expensive and there is a 50p charge for every item that is ordered if you dine in. This can easily end up being £5 extra for two people. This prevents customers from giving a few pounds as a tip as it leaves a bitter feeling in your mouth paying more for the same product. Otherwise great place for a croissant and coffee.

Great choice of savoury and sweet items. Sausage roll had a surprise kick (chilli flakes - only a few) but tasted great. The chocolate and custard tart was gloriously yummy. Hot Chocolate best we have tasted in a cafe for a long time. Chains ought to take note!! We will return.

Cosa dire... prelibatezze dolci e salate, a partire dal tipico "hot x bun" pasquale, locale familiare ed arredato con cura, gentilezza da parte del personale. Da provare se si è in uno degli hotel vicini, lo consiglio.

We were on holidays (frenchies in London) and we had 30min to wait.. fancy a coffee ? Why not.. but once in that lovely place, so many nice food !! I tryed the japaleno &amp; spinach cake.. really good.. then the bread and butter pudding.. OMG.. the best ever.. I just wait now until tomorow to get back there.. you're close to this place ? Do not hesitate, that's a real gem.By the way, the staff there is so nice that you can feel like at home instantly.. great job guys ;)

This cafe' is a very friendly and cosy place. The cakes and all the excellent different breads are freshly baked there so you will never be disappointed. There are not so many nice cafe' in the area so this is quite a nice find with a very good service as well. I highly recommend it !

My wife and I stopped in Hart and Lova after dropping our granddaughter at school. This bakery is in a business block on Belsize Road near its corner with Priory Road. It is a small, neat establishment with tables and a standup sidebar. The bakery offers a range of goods from bread to pastries. My wife had coffee with her breakfast, which was excellent. We both had egg combinations on an English muffin. The service was charming and the atmosphere, comfortable. Hart and Lova has wifi. A very nice place to begin the day.

Excellent, Excellent, Excellent! Service, food, coffee are all on point. Very comfortable spot to eat in, of course they also do take away. Best cinnamon role of my life (and just far enough from home to walk off all those calories after!). Can't wait to try their sourdough loaf next.

I found this place by chance while looking for cafes around the hotel that we stayed in during our vacation in London. We loved it, the food was great, coffee is so good and the staff are amazing. we tried the croissant, quiche and muffins and all tasted really good and yummy (actually the best croissant/ chocolate croissant I had in my life)Its located in Kilburn a bit hidden from the main road but for me its great, cozy atmosphere in the freezing London at the moment and I feel that I can spend a long time there reading or writing. I will defiantly go there again and again if I was in London.

Recent visits have been on my own but also come here with family. The coffee alone is a good reason to come but I sometimes eat as well. Pastries are really good.A little jewel in Kilburn.

Came here for a cup of coffee. Had two cups! They brew Monmouth coffee which I found absolutely exceptional. As to the food, I've enjoyed lemon tart and salmon quiche, both were good. I really liked the attitude of the staff it really makes the atmosphere of the cafe, very special.

This place is a fantastic Saturday morning brunch place. Very small interior but you usually get a spot to sit down, and the coffee, croissants and bread are fantastic. Plus the staff are always super lovely, which makes it a real treat. The cheese and ham croissant has been a little disappointing of late (smaller cheese and ham portion inside) but it's all still very high quality.

Great neighbourhood cafe, warning though: can get crowded at the weekends. The owner/head baker Julia and her staff are lovely. Dog &amp; baby friendly, this place has become a Kilburn institution in just 3 years. Love it! Neighbourhood is much better for it. They also do bespoke cakes for special occasions!

This was our first time in this bakery, as we live in Devon. They have a really huge assortment of savory and sweet items, as well as very good coffee. The pastries were so good that we had to buy some to bring back with us. The staff were amicable, engaging and made you feel like an old friend. The decor was clean, and the ambiance was that of home, a place where you could spend all day. I lament the fact that I live 4 hours away from this place, as I would love to go every week and enjoy a nice Sunday morning!

Hart &amp; Lova is a true gem in Kilburn, the food is delicious and organic and the coffee is great. The atmosphere is calm and has a cosy/homely feel. The interior is beautiful, even down to the cups they use to serve your food in. Ideal for all people! Worth a visit

Just came here with a friend for lunch randomly and we both had salmon and spinach quiche which was delicious!I would highly recommend it but need to try some of the pastries now :)

Have been going here regularly ever since it opened. It's a real breath of fresh air from the coffee chains in the area. The coffee and teas are excellent and the croissants are sizeable and delicious. The staff are lovely and friendly and there is a real neighbourhood feeling.

Do yourself a favour and visit this tempting cafe. The pastries, cakes and quiches are delicious and the cafe is warm and inviting. Very helpful and friendly staff make Hart and Lova a pleasure to visit. Lovely coffees and teas are also served. Yum!

This place has it all. Bright with a mix of eclectic furniture, not too old but not modern, interesting style and friendly staff. The coffee and croissants were first rate and this is somewhere to linger with plenty of space. I would be tempted to make a special journey but really it serves the local population and they are very lucky.

was reluctant to write this review, because this is one of my best kept secrets in an increasingly dull and grimy Kilburn. Kudos to the owner for not placing the place in the typically more cosmopolitan West Hampstead. First things first, the place was warms, and not reliant on you staying away from the door or buying extra cups of tea to keep the heat in. So I already felt welcome. A varied selection of fresh made cakes which look enticing and taste fresh. I hope the find a way to get more business without making the spot too widely known. Although I do appreciate the open welcoming atmosphere - it does not feel like a cliquey nichey boutique tea house. It genuinely comes across as a well lit, warm, artisan cake shop which happens to love making all sorts of people feel comfortable with cake.

I love this place for its bread but...it is very expensive. I understand this is a bakery and should charge more than "over-the-counter" breads. But in comparison - white bloomer is £ 0.80 in Tesco (about 5-10'min away) whereas here it is £ 3.50. Again, yes, freshly baked from bakery but that's very big difference. However I still buy from here because it is close to my flat, staff is kind, nice and welcoming. :)

Great coffee, relaxed and welcoming. Country kitchen feel makes it a great escape. Highly recommended. The patisseries are very tasty, and the croissants seriously buttery.

We were visiting our friend and decided to stop for a cuppa. There is nothing about this place that jumps out and say 'come on in'. But what a find! It was nice outside - but chilly with the bit of warmth from the sun.Inside was not full but busy. We decided to have a coffee and cakes for 11's outside. Wonderful! Nice friendly staff, good coffee and cakes to die for! All freshly baked and you could see it happening. I am sure this is a very busy place with the locals. It is worth a detour to go there and try it out if you're in the area.

We had quiche followed by milk chocolate cake. Had I known the cake was that good, I would have a double serving of cake for my afternoon tea.The raspberry chocolate cake was also great. Definitely be returning for one of the best chocolate cakes I've ever had. The quiche was good too.Not a massive selection of food but worth checking out.

Cute little place with homely little touches. Great service and the most fantastic choice of homemade cakes, pastries, savouries and more. Lovely coffee. Great relaxing find just off the busy hectic Kilburn high road.

Just decided to pop into Hart and Lova for a quiet coffee and when we saw the cakes on offer, well, I HAD to have one.The cafe is quiet. There are people at tables but its not a place where you feel you have to get out as soon as you sit down. The music isn't blaring. Its a haven.The coffee was perfect, but the cakes.....ahhhhh, the cakes !!!I enquired and was told that everything was made on site so decided that to indulge my sweet fantasy i would be modest and have a fruit tart. UNBELIEVABLE.Marzipan filling, done to perfection, the pastry: melt in your mouth.This is such a great cafe its worth the trip out to either sit and relax or simply just to buy cakes and savouries.So happy to have discovered it.

OMG ! My son recommended this patisserie and I looked on line saw the gallery of pictures of beautiful cakes and emailed Andrea placing my order.Service was impeccable. The presentation of the cake, its taste and the packaging were all excellent.Please believe me ;if you want a wow factor cake choose Hart and Lova to make it for you! Popped in here last month after eating at the Little Bay. (Cakes were for the next day!) The selection of cakes and pastries was great. I decided on a selection to take home with me. Carrot cake, chocolate tarte, salted caramel tarte which were all delicious. Also a salmon and spinach quiche which was gorgeous. Lovely little place, the female shop assistant was very friendly.

Great bread, pastries, the freshest cakes. Real cream, Belgian chocolate.... Some of the nicest baked products you will taste, you can get gluten free too. They will also make suitable for vegan cakes too. It's a bit expensive, even take away, but if you try the dark chocolate and raspberry cake, it looks heavy but just melts away in your mouth, you will understand why it's at a premium price. It is the best bakery come intimate coffee shop in NW6. Treat yourself.

the pastry cook is french, that means an expert in pastries and so taste all the pastries they make several times a day fresh. I love the Danish, sometimes still warm when they come on the table. But also all the other things they prepare. There are lots of things for lunch, not only sweet ones and accompanied by a flat white it'll make your day.
