Harry's Traditional Fish & Chips in Sutton

These were nasty! The chips tasted as if they'd been cooked in old oil and the sausage in batter had been microwaved. Lol they think people can't tell... We won't be back. It goes without saying the majority have no tastebuds. Need to do better than this.

Phew has this place become expensive (for what you get). Lovely, clean, friendly atmosphere when you go in. I usually just buy chips to accompany whatever I’m cooking at home in an emergency. So this review is about the chips really and let’s be honest it’s half the meal. The majority of the chips were inedible as they’re so small and sharp and impossible to bite into so end up left over on the plate sliding around. You don’t mind a few here and there, but for the price it’s not really acceptable. The chips that did make the cut were bland to be honest. No flavour to speak of which leads me to believe they’re not good quality. 3 or 4 years ago I would never have complained.

Very pricey , I know there is inflation but they have above inflation prices but the service is good but fish and chip is not longer a poor person dinner

Our usual fish and chip shop that we’ve used for the 30+ years we’ve lived in the area has closed. We’ve tried several other local fish and chip shops and been disappointed as they just aren’t anywhere as good as we’ve been used to. Have driven past Harry’s virtually every day but never tried it. So glad we did, everything we’ve had has been cooked to order and is piping hot with huge portions of chips. Husband particularly pleased that they offer skate wing which is a rarity today. Our original fish and chip shop took some beating , but Harry’s is better.

Found this place by accident and orfer two haddock and chips. I regularly order fish and chips, but was shocked by how good the fish tasted. I have ordered three times since my first trip and the haddock has been exceptional everytimr. Far better that other fish that I have had elsewhere. The chips were good, but the fish is the really winner here! An amazing find, don't sleep on the restaurant.

So glad we did - excellent service, delicious, well-cooked food and generous portions. Lovely people too. Obviously a find as can be busy but well worth the wait.

This Fish and Chip shop produces really excellent fish and chips. They are always freshly cooked with lovely crispy chips to accompany the crispy batter on the fish. I popped in because it was convenient and have been popping in regularly ever since. Really lovely place for take away fish and chips. Totally recommended!
