Have eaten here on numerous occasions, I just have one issue to address and that’s the vegetables, I like my veg aldente but unfortunately I can only describe the side veg as raw. I would rather slightly over cooked than undercooked. In all other respects I have no complaints

Excellent independent Italian restaurant. Quality of food was very high and portions were big - we took some home with us in the end! This is a popular restaurant and was busy on a Friday night. Good atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Lovely restaurant. We love visiting Mimi e Coco it’s our favourite restaurant and never fails to impress us. We had such a wonderful wedding reception there, just over a year ago, and visit as often as we can. Ample quality food and great service. We had yet another smashing meal there last night.

My first visit here, I regret I'd not been earlier: outstanding quality food on generous proportions: a delicious king Prawn in Chilli starter , main of Sea Bass was perfect, lovely steamed vegetables and perfect small roast potatoes cooked in olive oil. All our extended family, a group of (18) really appreciated the friendliness of the staff and manageress ( Amy) and the attentive service. It was a perfect evening.

Just had some nice food here..only problem was, the restaurant was freezing cold and my pancake for desert was cold. I expected a hot pancake with the ice cream. My feet were freezing during my meal and I had to put my jacket back on to keep me warm. Maybe they cant afford the heating bills, I dont know. So unfortunately, I wont be going there again this winter. I told the waitress I was cold but she didnt turn any heating on. Overall, nice food, but not looking after the customer enough.

This was my only second visit after several years as we live in the midlands. Booked for a family meal with my son, daughter-in-law, daughter and her fiancé. The service was just right and the food was simply delicious, flavour packed and perfectly cooked and served.

Visited on a Saturday evening, the restaurant was busy but not overly full. Staff friendly and efficient. Very good selection of dishes on the menu. We had four different pasta dishes between us, all were very good with very nice flavours. We had a very nice ltalian red wine - it was good to see a relative short list of wines but all well chosen as both wines we tried were very good. The deserts were also good, especially the panna cotta. Overall a very nice Italian restaurant and we'll worth a visit.

Visited early on a Saturday evening - the place was buzzing. We had a couple of starters to share between four of us - they were a very good size and the meats were delicious. We then had a range of pasta dishes, all were excellently cooked and great flavours. Choice of wines were also good. Service friendly and efficient - overall a very good evening with great Italian food.

Arrived at 1.45. Ordered beef Carpatio and Squid which were good. By around 2.30 restaurant was fairly empty. Ordered a second drink and waited for mains. By 3pm still waiting and a party of four who had arrived an hour after us had been served starters and mains!!! When we queried this we were told it took longer to cook prawn linguine. We paid for our drinks and starters £37 and left. Be warned.

We have eaten at this restaurant with our son a few times. We arrived at the restaurant around 7.30 and it was very busy, with at least one large party seated. Regardless, the staff were very attentive and promptly took our drinks and food orders. Food arrived in a timely manner and was plentiful and delicious.

Took my new partner to show her where I was brought up and we walked around no such park before heading to my late Mum and Dads favourite restaurant It did not disappoint and the staff were very accommodating and the food as always very good with ample portions It was a lovely way to end the day

We had a fantastic group party at Mimi e Coco and was brilliant looked after by Amy and her team. The venue was nicely decorated, providing a warm and hospitable environment. The food came out on time and was generously portioned and tasty. Overall we had a very pleasant evening. Thanks once again to Amy!

This was our Christmas dinner fun evening out, but where as I had the traditional turkey along with others, some of us chose something different from the menu. Firstly what a lovely place, spacious, very Christmassy, friendly staff and attentive, with a good sense of humour. Gives good Italian food and ample. Loved it and hope one day to go again.

I normally don’t write reviews but this time I have to. I have been mimi’s customer since opened and going there regularly some reviews are totally mis displayed it looks like there have been to another restaurant. The food is beautiful and the staff is friendly and helpful. The menu has many dishes to choose from. I went there on Friday and it was fully booked but Fabrizio told us to come back in an hour and he arranged a table for us. I love this restaurant I really get upset with people that don’t have other things to do but complain for anything, they are the real miserables

Needs a overhaul of decor full of tat.... it was a cold night tonight and I would say there was no heating on it was freezing in there....my food sea bass in foil was ok my partners liver and bacon was fatty and dry over priced

Looking a bit tired and old fashioned. Felt it needed an upgrade. However it was quite full on a mid week evening. The menu was a bit old looking. Specials board is written on a blackboard though as is the desert one. Think that it has a lot of loyal regulars.

Best italian restaurant in Sutton and Cheam. The good is very fresh and tastes exactly like it does in Italy. The ambience takes you to Italy and the staff are wonderful Italian family. Strongly recommend for any occasion.

What a gem of a restaurant not only has it a buzzy atmosphere that reminds you of being on holiday the food was delicious. There is so much choice and the portion sizes are large. Everything tasted lovely and fresh and we even had to take a doggy bag home with us as there was so much. The staff are really friendly and even tho they were very busy we didn’t get neglected and they always were smiling. We will definitely go back and have already told others about our great night out there.

Bad abrupt service and all who ate Lamb were ill that evening and the following day.

Visited as a party of 3 to celebrate a birthday and we thoroughly enjoyed a lovely meal. We all ate different starters and mains; large, varied choice on the regular menu plus a specials board. Very generous portions which meant we regrettably had no room for dessert, despite the temptations. The restaurant was pretty full for a Thursday eve which is a good sign and other customers also appeared happily satisfied with their meals. Service was good and the restaurant has an authentic Italian feel which was welcoming. Highly recommended and we look forward to a re-visit to sample more of the menu.

We dined here on Saturday evening as were looking for a lovely Italian meal. The two ladies who served us were really friendly & helpful & gave us a lovely table in the window.

Went here last night for a catch up with friends, lovely little family restaurant, the portions are really large - but ask to share a starter - they won’t mind. Food quality is really lovely - we had a great crab & mango salad and squid to start - then their lasagne is yummy as was the veal escalope with spaghetti & tomato sauce. The creme brûlée was also gorgeous as were the coffee’s. Its not cheap - but then the food and the staff are well worth it. You will need to book in advance especially at the weekend. There is also some parking outside - but a huge car park across the road that is free after 18:30.

We have eaten at this restaurant with our son a few times. We always know that we will have lots of choice with fresh food cooked to our liking. The staff are always friendly and attentive without being too obtrusive. We love the menu here which is so much more than just pizza and pasta, although you can have that if you want.

Visited early June to celebrated my significant birthday with 6 friends. This is a long established restaurant in Cheam Village which can cater for large parties, as ell as just couples. The menu is huge with lots of specials with a wine list which, although not extensive, does have a selection to suit most palates I'm sure. The prices are outstandingly good value and my advice is...….do go hungry!! The portions are huge. I can't say it's a romantic place to dine though as the lighting is bright and the tables are very close together. The tables are laid with good quality linen which is always a plus. The service is efficient and not overpowering. I went on a Wednesday evening and there were very few other diners so it was comfortable for us to chat and catch up with each but I imagine at weekends it would be very busy and would therefore be too loud for me.

We were a party of 30 for Christmas Day lunch. We had a fantastic time. Choice of traditional Christmas lunch with trimmings which I had, there was a good choice of other meats and fish. It was all delicious and generous portions. Everyone was really happy and the price per person was very reasonable too! Would highly recommend:)

I hired Mimi E Coco for my husbands surprise 40th, we ended up with over 80 people coming, and we had brilliant night.

I went to mimi e coco last week and the week before and these were my first 2 times there. The place is absolutely quality, starting with the staff who are humorous and all round just give a great service.

We went in a group for 20 people on a Tuesday night. The restaurant was pretty quiet until we arrived.

We went as a family of 8 to celebrate my birthday. Our ages range from 4 - 53 with one vegetarian among us.

I had not visited this restaurant for over ten years and was not disappointed, I had forgotten how good the food was.

Visited for the first time after a recommendation. We booked which seems to be a.good idea. The menu is full of lovely sounding dishes and not overly expensive. On top of the the normal menu is a chalk board which gives the specials. The three of us shared the brushetta calamari and king prawns..our mains were plentiful. The spaghetti Bolognese , the seafood pasta and the sea bass cooked with have the ocean. The desserts we shared were the home made chocolate moose and the creme brulee. The portions were plentiful and the meals cooked to perfection. The service from Frabrizio and his colleagues was amazing. True Italians. The atmosphere was brilliant. I can't think of anything wrong. When we first arrived we chose to sit at a table which unfortunatkey my elderly companion discovered a draught. We asked if we could move and this was done for us straight away. During our meal the resturant filled quite quickly...with a couple of large tables. For the first Friday after New Year it showed its popularity. I would definitely come again. In fact as we speak we are looking at regular visits in order to sample more of the menu.

We held a big family lunch here for a special occasion. There were 15 of us ranging in age from 6 to 80. The staff were extremely accommodating, adding extra places when unexpected guests appeared and keeping on top of a deluge of orders. The menu is vast and there are a range of specials as well. Everyone found something they could enjoy and all food was served promptly, fresh and hot. There is a particularly impressive choice of seafood.

I have been going here with friends and family for years. It is the most delicious home cooked Italian food, lovely owners and a great vibe - amazing wine and it is always our happy place. We have even had our Christmas Day meal here! Oh Yeah!

Newish to the area, we went for wife’s Friday birthday dinner. I wasn’t expecting that much after indifferent views of a couple of local mates, but we were pleasantly surprised. Crisply fried whitebait and classic chilli gambretti were both excellent and the bottle of Gavi one of the nicest I’ve tasted. Sea bass in foil with mussels and clams was delish and the chicken in parma ham with a salty streak of gorgonzola was alarmingly covered in brown gravy, but tasted fab and I could have licked the plate. Big portions too, so we didn’t really need a side veg (the pasta plates are big too) that by the time we had shared a sticky toffee pud (no complaints) we were stuffed. OK, so we had a blowout and did the menu (a small glass of prosecco each to start was by the small bottle, oddly), plus coffee and stickies, and it was comfortable north of 100 quid with extra wine, but I would happily go back tonight. Atmosphere OK, too, altho it's a little echoey as it's a biggish room

Excellent service from start to finish. The staff were super friendly and very efficient I had the grilled sea bass with mash and side vegetables l would definitely recommend this restaurant to my family and friends and will definitely return the next time I’m going to have the steak because my partner told me his steak was divine. The deserts are also to die for.

Visited this evening,restaurant very quiet for a Saturday, has a very dated feel, starters bought to our table that was not for us, I asked for plain grilled sea bass and salad came out covered in oil, my husband not asked if he would like any sauces with his steak,no Parmesan offered for pasta, not checked if we wanted more drinks,restaurant empty by 10.30 asked for more drinks and bought us the bill! Felt like staff couldn’t wait to get rid of us to go home, have visited a few times and always been packed with a buzzy atmosphere and food always good, big let down tonight will not return or recommend, much better restaurants and service around for the same money!

Visited here with friends who live in the village and often use this restaurant. The menu is fairly extensive but being a fussy vegetarian I opted to go off menu and make-up my own pizza. When it arrived it looked and smelt amazing and it tasted even better. I'd even go as far as to say it is the best pizza I have ever had in a restaurant. Everyone else enjoyed their food too and the service and setting was fabulous. Prices also reasonable. Would definitely recommend.

When a restaurant is popular with Italians, and lovers of Italian food, you can't go wrong. A good atmosphere and selection of food and wine are all you need at any time of day, and for any celebration. Most enjoyable.

Went for a meal at this restaurant yesterday and was really disappointed. I have been really bad through the night feeling very sick and really bad diarrhoea. My husband had something different to eat and he’s ok but I have to say the meals we had were awful.

Went for Mother's Day for lunch. Lovely atmosphere. Great staff. Tasty food. Large portions - we should have asked for kids portions for the kids as we had to take half of their lunch home with us. The adults tried the specials from their specials board and the kids had pizza and pasta. Great find local find.

Six of us had a birthday celebration, The food was super delicious, the staff were very good .How we had two tables with children around us and we couldn't here ourselves think.Will return midweek ,not on a Saturday night. I guess we were just unlucky, don't let that put you off.

went here for birthday celebration dinner & had good food in a jovial atmosphere ! The Manager is quite a joker & we exchanged greetings in several languages but he couldn't reply to my Japanese phrases - Ha ! His charming daughter was serving on this occasion but I didn't find out who was Mimi or Coco! Plenty of food choices which you will observe when checking the website but the only mild criticism is the option of £2 for "vegetables" with main courses - on this occasion the dish consisted of a few small roast potatoes & carrots - no crispy courgettes to be seen. The place is in 2 sections & you should watch your step literally if seated on the right hand side as there is a step up - important to remember if you have had a few drinks before going to dinner! There are several large figures dotted around & my favorite was the waiter in the entrance way (see photo). Good selection of wines - Barolo for £38 if price is no object but the House red is fine. Parkin wasn't too bad on a Friday but I imagine it might be harder on a Saturday. Not too crowded on this occasion but can't comment on weekends.

We visited here at the end of January for a birthday meal. Was lacking a bit of atmosphere (it was a Tuesday night) but the waitress and manager were very friendly and the music in the restaurant was just right. The food was very good but one of our group had a pizza which took longer than the rest of the mains to come out and was a little underdone. Price was a little high for the quality of what you get but can't complain about the portion size or taste. Free shots of limoncello with our bill. We will visit again soon.

Mimi e coco was introduced to me by my boyfriend and his dad, this is their weekly regular to eat and it is honestly one of my favourite places to eat! Never a bad meal, food that tastes amazing! Give it a try!

We came for the second time back in September we had a lovely evening fabulous food one of the best lasagne's I've had !!! Would recommend mimi e coco well in fact that's what reminded me to make a review as was telling my colleague to go today.

Meal was overall okay but once we had paid the bill the staff never even offered to get our coats. Crab starter was bulked out with sweetcorn, would have preferred a smaller portion without anything added! Three of us had steak and Cheese sauce (which admittedly was not on the menu) but £25 per steak with nothing included was a bit steep, would of expected chips or potatoes or at least a veg of some sort. Also thought it was a cheek that service charge was added to a party of four, isn't that usually the case for six or more? Also, one of our party had sticky toffee pudding and custard (you had to look hard to find the custard).

This restaurant is a very family oriented one. One of the reviews is really out of context, "the food and the service are good but not the decoration" please. Decoration is something you can not discuss since everybody has their own taste. We are reviewing a restaurant, where you go to eat and enjoy the food and the service, and this restaurant is one of the best I have been to,child friendly, good food, fantastic service, and the man who shouted is Italian, he can't help it, it's his nature.

First impressions wasn't good for me, feels like a mix match of different things.

Bums had just touched the seats and we were asked what we wanted to drink. Asked for a wine list that kept being taken away from me as it seems i wasnt being quick enough. Three times they tried to take it away from me. We were were brought the meanest portion of complimentary bread i have ever seen. I didnt know loaves came that small or could be sliced so thinly. I ordered chilli and garlic prawns to start at £8.50. I cant argue with the description - some prawn with some garlic and chilli put in the oven and taken out again. Underwhelming is an understatement. Badly presented with more of that thin bread broken up on top. My steak main was raw (but got sorted and was tasty)and the side salad was pathetic and looked like it came from the bottom of the fridge. After the weird wine list thing i asked to be recommended a large glass of wine to go with my steak. 'The House wine is good'. Well, thanks for that. It wasnt. Couple next to us only stayed for a main after her gnt came with a free fly floating in it and the guys steak looked awful. Service far from warm. Charged for two glasses of that wine instead of one. The artwork on the walls is entertaining though and the atmosphere was decent. Its another outdated and quirky suburban Italian which im sure serve a core of locals well. Wish we had a Strada near us.

We booked for a Saturday evening and was pleased to find it busy but not crowded. It's clearly a family business. The staff were friendly and chatty. The environment eclectic - such a nice change from chain restaurants. I had sea bream with mussels - delicious! I think there were meant to be clams in it as well but I didn't check against the menu. My dessert was panna cotta - again I was very good. The restaurant is open for lunch on Fridays and Saturdays so good to check if you want lunch.

This was only my second visit (first time with my girlfriends) had amazing mussels to start followed by a vegetable pasta that was fantastic - the food here is wonderful, great friendly service - a real family restaurant - great food and wine - would really recommend it - and can't wait to visit again.

We recently visited here celebrating my partners birthday with family. The service was ok but slow when it came to paying the bill. I ordered a chicken salad with avocado that tasted yummy, but had no dressing. The rest of the food was OK, but didn't have the woe factor.

Lovely food and lovely ambience at Mimi e Coco brings us back regularly.Food is great especially mushrooms farciti (starter) and the steaks. Service is great with very friendly staff. Oh and the toilets are very clean, though you might get a surprise from the life size Elvis figure on the way.

I visited this restaurant 2 years ago for my birthday celebration, we went on a Saturday night and for us it was far too noisy with children running around and so I haven't been back since but a friend booked a few of us in last night (Tuesday) much, much better, low background music which was nice, on a personal preference I would prefer the lighting dimmed but the food and service were excellent, friendly and good service. I had lasagne, not something I would normally order when out but I was drawn to it and it was very good, possibly the best I have had and it was hot until the last mouthful. Good portions. I think as a group we will probably return in the not too distant future as everyone was pleased.

This is my favorite restaurant by FARR! I should of wrote a review sooner, every time I visit this restaurant with Friends we have a fantastic time, background music, great atmosphere, Brilliant wine, 10/10 food, attentive staff. We have been going to Mimi E Coco's since they opened, it must be 10 or more years ago now. We have always had hot, fresh and tasty food with that true Italian flavour. Last Saturday I had the nicest Halibut in a sauce that I have ever tasted and really can't complain about a thing. Unfortunately during the evening a customer who I imagine wasn't a regular made the most awful scene, I believe it was a query about the bill or something. The issue was resolved but the man left the rest of his very embarrassed party, shouting aloud as his left the restaurant. Such a shame what was meant to be an enjoyable night for them must of been totally spoilt by his behaviour. I have to say I think the menu has a great selection and a specials board and not like a restaurant chain, it is a family Italian business they go out of there way to please. Also although we were there as a couple, it is a great family restaurant and nothing is too much trouble to accommodate your needs.

Overcharged my card and refused to refund instead insisting I took a £20 voucher. They had overcharged 4 couples in our group. I had to cause a somewhat embarrassing scene to get them to refund my card. They stated that because it was a Saturday night we had to pay extra than what was written on the menu.Food was dry and not great. Will not be returning

A friend took me and I was very pleased to see that the staff were friendly and capable. The food was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Good wine and food at a fair price. I would go regularly if I lived locally.
