Prezzo - Cheam in Sutton

A disappointing visit to Prezzo in Cheam. The staff were not attentive at all during our lunch time visit. After our food arrived no one returned to make sure our meal was ok or to check if we needed any further drinks. We were also not offered the dessert menu. The toilet also had no toilet paper. The food was ok.

Our experience at Prezzo Cheam was fantastic. The delicious food, friendly service, and pleasant atmosphere make it a great choice for anyone looking for a casual Italian meal. I highly recommend it!

me and my friend regularly visit Cheam as we enjoy and find it good value, this time we realised it was a complete change in staff so just wanted to give a little shout out to Francis our waitress she was a lovely polite young lady, Great addition to the team!

Considering they were very understaffed, and training some newcomers, we had a great time. Great food. The menu has so much choice. That was the only issue, deciding what to have. Top dinner!!

Ordered a delivery via one of the apps and had an issue with my order. Ordered gluten free pasta and when receiving the delivery it was incorrect - normal pasta was sent. Being gluten free I was concerned as the pasta was missing the usual Gf label and was not the fusilli I was expecting. Tried to call the restaurant - took multiple attempts as nobody picked up (was not a busy time), and then when I did speak to someone they were rude/didn’t care/ didn’t understand the need for me to check what they had sent and ultimately hung up on me. More care to be taken when cooking delivery orders, especially if gluten free pasta is requested (and any other allergen is noted for that matter)

Approximately 2hours after ordering, unable to cancel as restaurant not answering 10 calls, packaging damaged and leaked all over hall way, not sure the order was totally correct ? The app was saying the courier was in the restaurant the whole time ?

About once a year I make the mistake of returning to Cheam Prezzo and it's always exactly the same. This visit was no different - horrendous service (over an hour and a half wait before we gave up on getting food). Young overworked staff crying in front of customers because there were only two waiters working. Absolutely outrageous to put your staff in this position - a disgrace.

Been served by D twice now here she is exceptional at her job friendly nothing is too much and the food is cooked hot and in a timely manner always with a warm welcome

Wonderful, friendly and attentive service from Dee and Jasmine for a birthday dinner!!! Food was delicious and very filling and the atmosphere was lovely. Definitely recommend!!

We did a take out for our daughter’s birthday. It was a personalised order, 20+ kids pizzas and some pasta for those who preferred. The entire experience was smooth and awesome! Food was great, nothing to complain. Georgiana was great in handling the order. Everything as we expected, well organised. I’d recommend you to use Prezzo for your catering needs. We are definitely going back for a meal next weekend. Imaadh

Having eaten at Prezzo before I was disappointed this time. Firstly, the waitress who appeared overly stressed from the start (understaffed??) was rather grumpy and impatient when taking our orders (we were chatting and in no rush). The portions are not large although the food quality is good and the meals are tasty. The menu has changed and choices are reduced. The biggest disappintment was the dessert range, comments were "dry and tasteless". I had an Affogato (ice cream with a coffee shot poured over it). It was served in a tea cup and was a lump of ice cream which had melted into a soup. The waitress said it had melted because the coffee was hot, but clearly it had been sitting a while. Desserts were £8 (Affogato £5.50.. for one serving of vanilla ice cream?} I always thought Prezzo was reliable and you always knew what you got for the money, but I woud now be wary of going back. I know prices have risen across the board in most restaurants and for this reason the service and qualilty must stay at a hgh level or customers will desert them.

The staff were kind, friendly, warm and professional. Unfortunately, the food itself was not good at all. All dishes lacked seasoning. Some pasta dishes were overcooked and some were slightly undercooked.

Great place for a quick lunch. Food is good not great. Staff are friendly.

Great dessert and reasonable vegan options

Efficient and friendly service, good quality food and a menu that offers plenty of variety. What's not to like? I had the burrata which I hadn't tried before and was actually really good, then the dolce e piccante pizza which is a personal favourite. What's not to like?

I attended Prezzo last Thursday evening with 3 friends. We hadn’t booked but were greeted with utter disdain. We were met by a female who scowled at us and told us we’d have to wait 5 minutes. We agreed and patiently stood by the bar area for some time. She then proceeded to tut and sigh while telling us how busy they were. The telephone rang on 2 occasions and she ignored it. She continued to bang around behind the bar and due to the appalling attitude we decided to leave at which point she muttered a sorry. I will not return after all there are plenty of other places to eat in Cheam.

the food was stone cold when it arrived not even a hint of warmth in the box or the foil bag. not very happy. and reheating it makes the cheese go rubbery

It was 2 unplanned visits to this place and was just there for a drink or two, so I can't make any comments about the food but the service was good.

Service was pretty poor and food unexciting.

We decided to go this Prezzo in Cheam because we are currently staying in the Premier Inn Epsom Town Centre hotel, because the Prezzo in Epsom has shut down, we went into the restaurant and everything seemed normal at first, we ordered drinks and then they came no problems, then we ordered starters 2 garlic breads plain, and our waiter came over with garlic bread with cheese, he said "Oh, you don't mind cheese on it do you, If not then I can send it back again to remake it." then we finally got our starters, and then when main courses came over we order the Seasonal Greens, and they didn't come and our waiter said, "Sorry, the chef didn't make them." We ordered them! And then he patted my partner on they back and said, "Oh! It's alright mate!" And then we tucked into our Mains, and my partner realised that the Marsala Chicken with Mushrooms, was raw. The waiter didn't even come back to see if the food and us were okay?! And then straight after mains we got the bill, and he said "Don't worry they removed the thingy." He was referring to the seasonal greens. And my partner said, "The chicken needed to be cooked a bit more, it was raw." And then the waiter said "Oh, you should have told me." And by then she wasn't hungry and started eating some of my daughter's pizza. We will never eat here, AGAIN! 😡

I have been to Prezzo in Cheam many times and I always love the experience! They have a great, various menu with different dishes and they are so tasty, great portions and well presented. The staff is never short and always professional and friendly . Highly recommend

Really nice lunch at the Prezzo in Cheam today. Pepperoni pizza was delicious. The Prezzo burger was cooked just right. Desserts of sticky toffee pudding & chocolate cake were a great way to finish our meal. The service was super as well.

I always recommend Prezzo and l loved its menu. So tasty pizzas.

Had a lovely lunch with twenty eight of our family 18adults/10 children. We'd planned it several weeks in advance to ensure we had space in the rear section of the restaurant which is perfect for larger gatherings. Dolcie, the manager gave us excellent service, right from booking the table, confirming with emails and taking our advance meal choices, to serving the food. Nothing was a problem, even with ten 2 - 8 year olds having 'fun' amongst the adults. Food was lovely and served on time. We were able to use our Taste cards which reduced the bill by a lot too. This is the fifth time I was hosting a birthday party for my daughter at Prezzo Cheam. This was her 18th, so a very important one for me. Everything was planned to a T. The girls had decided their menus well in advance. Even though the staff are extremely nice n friendly, we felt neglected for the most part of the evening. We were given the end table, there wasn’t a proper place to set her cake, n the wait for the food was looooong to say the least!!! Well all that planning n preparation that led up to the party had all gone in vain! Last year with a bigger group u guys had managed better. I hope this comment is taken as constructive criticism n u will try to improve on the customer satisfaction!

Took a while to get the bill at the end given there was hardly anyone in the place. Other than that, faultless. Great I could use my taste card and bring it to a reasonable price.

Great food as always. It's a bit pricey at full price but good value with Tastecard or Tesco vouchers

2023: I began with the beef raviolini at Prezzo in Cheam—visually appealing, but disappointingly chewy and seemingly reheated. The tres gusti pizza was decent, though when inquired about chili flakes or oregano, the waitress promised to check but returned without going to the kitchen, stating they were unavailable. The pizza seemed undercooked, prompting the thought of ordering it well-done next time. The highlight was the orange cheesecake for dessert—delicious and arguably the best part of the meal. While we might consider returning next year, it's not a definite decision. 2022: I think 3 stars is fair.. family Christmas meal. I had fried mozzarella for starters. Was tasty mozzarella. Tried both sauces the Calabrese ketchup was alright but the regular tomato ketchup tasted fresher. I also had the Dolce e Piccante pizza. If you like spicy this is the one to go for. I’d avoid the chicken on pizzas though as in my experience it dries out. For dessert I tried the orange chocolate cake which was like a big Jaffa cake. Very good. Although most of the staff were attentive. There were three times during the meal where my father had to go up to ask for something. This wasn’t down to being busy as the restaurant was empty. The final time he had to get up to ask someone to bring us our bill. Pros: good Italian food. Wouldn’t say any better than good tho. Good for large groups. Cons: need more attentive customer service.

Very disappointed ordered smoked salmon for starter and it was salmon flakes. Main was spaghetti with king prawns had so many chillies in unable to eat it. No-one asked if food OK even though my plate was full. Such a shame had been the week before and everything perfect.

Food arrived completely cold. Had to reheat all. Bad quality also. Not acceptable to order food that does come within time frame but its stone cold. Cant understand how that would happen.

Excellent service & food. We celebrated a 15th and 65th birthday and he was very attentive. The hardworking waiter was very friendly and speedy. More visits to come

Whatever happened to Prezzo?? Not eaten here in quite some time but extremely disappointed. I used to rate Prezzo’s Arabiatta as one of the best I’ve had but sadly it’s now overcooked and horrid. Pizza was so bad even my kids didn’t eat it. Sadly, just like Pizza Express, this chain has also gone downhill.

One of our family favourites dine in restaurant. Food was good, my children loves it. Warm welcome and friendly staff.

Visited here a couple of weeks ago after not having been for a while. The food was their usual standard, nothing spectacular, but was disappointed in taste of their lager Birrificio Angelo Poretti, Did not enjoy it. No idea why they've changed, but won't go back in a hurry as IMO you should enjoy the drink that accompanies your food. I didn't.

Very helpful in rectifying an Uber drivers mistake. When an Uber driver stole our order. The manager was very helpful in fulfilling our order free of charge and providing us with some extra items to apologise. I understand it was not the restaurants fault but I appreciate the efficient way the situation was handled. The manager was very apologetic and wanted to ensure we received our order so handed it to us personally. Will definitely be ordering again. The food was also very nice the whole family very much enjoyed it.

Unfortunately, the food was cold and not packed in suitable containers for transit. Soggy chips. Garlic bread was stuck to the bag. The pasta had no sauce and was not anything like it usually is in the restaurant. Prezzo’s can clearly not be delivered.

Fabulous local restaurant, with a great menu - including plentiful GF & Vegan options. Staff always provide a warm welcome, service is attentive but never rushed, and the quality of the food delights. On our last visit we were served by Annie, and she not only had plenty of chat and interaction with our kids, she got every aspect of our order perfect (right down to doing my son's burger precisely how he wanted - no mean feat!). One of new local favourite restaurants, for sure!

Been to this prezzo in cheam village before decided to go again. We had family of 7(2 children included 7&5, we arrived first the restaurant was empty but they put us in a area that was away from everyone else even though nobody else was there at this point, soon after our grandchildren arrived at which point the lady came over and asked us if we were ready to order, felt like we were being g rushed however she then said quite loudly infront of everyone ( oh my god to much noise I can’t hear everyone at same time but we were all talking, I then said could she give us a few minutes to look at menu as the rest of the party had only just arrived. She went off and we never saw her again instead a man came and took our order. One of the dishes that we had tasted like it had been reheated as the pasta was dry with no sauce. Not very happy with service. Have been there about 3 times but wouldn’t go back. Wouldn’t mind but honestly the restaurant was empty at that point certainly near where we sitting and to say we were noisy was so rude. Very unprofessional.

Had a lovely experience with large birthday party. The place is enormous and the food is scrumptulicious. And it's not just pizza, there's so much more.

I just tried to order from them via Uber eats. Waiting more then an hour and when it was showing me that the driver is on my street, went outside, waited for another 5 min and received notification that my order has been cancelled.. just like that. I was looking forward to try that restaurant and I was so hungry, but left with very big disappointment. Won’t do that mistake again..

Was at this restaurant Saturday evening. Staff even did their best to accommodate my mobility scooter, which I was somewhat self-conscious about and were very efficient and very kind.

we had a great family dinner last night.. stuff was friendly and smiley all night, atmosphere was comfy and we seated straight away and service was good. after the starters didnt wait to long for main course...my son loved his pizza and my pasta was tasty. thanks to the ladies (magda & suna)who pay great attention to our table and making my son smile.. ;)

Really bad experience at lunch today. The service was atrocious. Did not feel welcomed at all, in fact got some horrible looks from the staff. Didn’t get served at all, had to keep standing up to get the waiters attention even though they were clearly looking at us. Had to get and clean our own highchair as it was filthy and the food was all below average. All round an extremely bad experience. I could say much more but not going into detail about everything. Will not be going back, ever.

Everything tastes of rosemary, far too much!

We eat here every few months. Always comfortable and service is usually very good. Menu has a wide choice, altho like everywhere the prices have gone up. The food is enjoyable. Sadly no coffee with a mini dessert on the menu now. However there was a sign you pass by into the seating area (no mention by waitress until we asked and no notice on website) saying card payments only. I wonder what would have happened if we had only had cash on us - I doubt they could refuse, but….. Apparently, this is a new directive from head office that payment is by card only.

Starter nice, both main courses pretty poor. My spaghetti was not great and quite expensive to be prepared in the manner of something costing half as much..

This is somewhere I come to with friends for a catchup. We all love this place, the food and drink just add to the evening, helped by the wonderful servers, a great evening, one to be repeated many times.

Another wonderful catchup in a safe, comfortable and inviting setting. The choice of menu is too delicious and I am gradually working my way through it also the drinks menu. This restaurant is always my first choice and as a group it suits us perfectly.

We had a gift voucher. The evening was perfect. The service from all the staff was outstanding.

Along with a group of friends, I recently visited Cheam Prezzo. Well, what a great dining experience we all had! Everything we ate, starters, main and a pud each, was absolutely spot on. Portion sizes were great, the food absolutely delicious and the time allowed between each dish, just right! We were all highly impressed. It must also be acknowledged that the staff there were also outstanding, especially a hardworking, efficient and very pleasant member named Dolcie. Not only did she endeavour to ensure we were thoroughly looked after during our visit, Dolcie also ensured that the diners on all the other nearby tables were too. What an asset to the establishment she truly is! We have all agreed to return here again very soon because each and every one of our group loved everything about the Cheam Prezzo and our time there. Thank you Cheam and thank you Dolcie 😊

Glad I booked as fully booked on a weds evening. Food and service excellent, just very noisy which doesn't suit me.

Very good food and service. Had voucher for me and my missus for this restaurant and wanted to give it a try. Choice of food was okay on the set menu, taste was fine too. My wife Garlic bread and Pitta came out a bit burnt so she didn't enjoy that. Overall, good experience and will come and try a la carte menu next time to see if things are better.

Food was okay but had a tasted stail and went cold fast. Waited a long time from starters to main course. No one informed us it was card only until we payment then told us we could not get change as we was paying cash. Would NEVER go back. Staff very rude all having a laugh and joke with each other not paying attention to customer Not a happy customer!

I have orderd a Ham, Mushroom & Mascarpone pizza via UberEats at a ridiculous price of £15.5 and have been shocked to see the pitiful size and poor quality of my order. The dough was unchewable and so hard it could not be cut with a knife. Absolutely the worst experience so far. Avoid!

My chicken carbonara was very dry not much sauce and the calzone all 3 were very dry

What an amazing food and service we had this evening. The atmosphere is great, music is just the right level,not too quiet or loud. They were seems like very busy but still paid attention to all of the tables very well. Drinks and food were served relatively fast compare to the business and the quality of the food was on spot. Thanks again for this wonderful experience. See you soon again

Goodness me...where to start? There should be an option to give 0/5. We were a group of 11, booked a month ago. We are all nurses and were having our work Christmas lunch. We were all very much looking forward to seeing each other socially as work is currently very busy and very stressful. The room we were seated in was freezing. Most of us kept our coats on for the majority of the meal. It was so cold that this was a major influence of our food and drink choices. We asked them to turn the heating on, only to be told it was broken! They had brought in a small heater, which was completely ineffective for the size of the room we were in, and the cable of the heater trailed across the floor space thus becoming a trip hazard. The food was not good - portion sizes and quality were lacking to put it mildly. One of our party only received her main meal when most of us had almost finished. When we asked why it was so late, they said they had forgotten her order. It was such a letdown. Avoid!

Prezzo new menu is now broader taking in burgers as well as the more traditional pizza and pasta. As a family we had a good lunch, service was polite and attentive, food was quick enough and portion sizes good. In fact the Calzone was huge! My daughter and I had the truffle burgers, she had chicken I had the beef. Both lovely with a gentle touch of truffle. Lovely.

Arrived cold and only 2 pieces of basil....should be a pice on every slice .....very disappointed. I ordered before and thought ut was a mistake but obviously not.....seem to think 2 prices basil covers a while pizza. Doesn't reflect image if what I'm expecting

Pizza completely cold on arrival

As we went to pay we were advised that they do not accept cash. This was not made clear when I made the booking. Small, almost transparent sign on the door is supposed to alert you on arrival. Very poor

Just a shame this restaurant cannot be consistent. Pretty bad lunch today... Garlic bread was dry & unlike the yummy buttery/garlic portion I had on last vist.... Main course offered with mash was sent back as mash was grey & microwaved (who cannot do fresh mash?) & was told chef cannot "do" mash"..so why is it on menu with beef & veg?? Lasagne just tasteless...know is a Sunday but these busy days should show them at their best 👌 Such a shame...know they can do better in these hard times. Staff were lovely & took my comments on board. Thank you 🙏

Friendly service, great menu and excellent waiting staff

We've eaten here a number of times and have seen a gradual decline. On this occasion we were using Buy a Gift vouchers and were presented with a very limited menu that our party of four struggled to make choices from. Service was equally poor, with a wait of 45 minutes between our starters and main courses. In summary, average food but very slow service on a night when the restaurant was nowhere near full. So returned tonight very late (almost as the kitchen closed) and have to say the service and food were excellent. We'll come back again soon to make sure that they are back to their old high standards.

We visited to celebrate a birthday. Not overly impressed with the food but service was fine. A main of Lobster and Crab ravioli was so small it looked like a starter at an eye watering cost of £17.50!! The honeycombe smash cheesecake had no honeycomb taste. The lady on the next table complained and they bought out some extra honeycombe!! All prices have gone up which is to be expected in the current climate, but to receive smaller and/or substandard portions is not acceptable. We will not return to Prezzo any time soon which is a shame. Without the 2 for 1 Meerkat deal the bill for what you get would be ridiculous.

Having booked a table for 8:00 pm it came as a bit of a shock to be told before 9:30 pm that we could not order a cappuccino with our dessert because from today they close at 9:00 pm and they had already switched the coffee machine off. Asked if I wanted a tea, I said no and she very reluctantly agreed to switch on the machine again. At no point before had we been informed that you couldn't order after 9:00pm, and if they close at 9 how come we were "allowed" to order dessert and tea but not coffee, and why take table bookings for 8 if you close at 9. Ridiculous and also spraying tables around you when you are eating dessert not great. Will not be returning and certainly would not recommend if you actually want an evening out.

Kids spaghetti bolognaise was missing

Food was really nice, however, the service really let the place down. We were greeted by a friendly face and it went downhill. We were not asked if everything was okay with our food and it took the waiting teams age to collect our plates. It didn’t matter too much as we were busy talking, when the waitress came to collect the plates she didn’t ask whether we enjoyed the meal and wanted dessert. We finished our drinks and had to ask for the bill 20 minutes later with no further interaction from the waiting team. It’s a shame as the food was really nice but the service really lets this place down.

Both pasta bolognese didn’t have enough sauce on them.

What a difference the staff make! Our first visit in a few months having an OK experience previously. How different this visit was to be! I cannot praise Annie & Oliver enough. On our arrival we were greeting professionally and seated prompted. From the very moment we were seated Annie & Oliver engaged courteously and tended to a drink and food requirements. Both Annie and Oliver were charming; Exceptionally well spoken. Annie offered some endearing enchanting comments about my wife of which brought a smile to her face too. Annie and Oliver's table service also come with a smile. We felt like all customers should feel - like V.I.P's. The food was good and complimented the service by Annie & Oliver. Our visit was just perfect. Our next visit won't be too far off. Keep up the good work. Just brilliant. Thank you. Dave & Gill. x

My order arrived cold. Not impressed considering I live in close proximity to the restaurant compared to other restaurants I have ordered from in the past that a greater distance and the food always arrive piping hot I don’t understand how a restaurant that is close ends up delivering cold food
