Harry's Cowbridge in The Vale of Glamorgan

Harry’s is a favourite for after work drinks at the end of a busy week. Tonight we had dinner too. Wow ! I can’t stop thinking about my delicious meal! It was truly the tastiest meal I’ve had in a long time. I had the Sea Bass dish and I can’t wait to eat it all over again ( and again!) Dear chef please don’t change a thing! Thank you

This is a great little restaurant/coffee stop. Food was excellent and reasonably priced and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Thoroughly recommended.

Having recently visited Harry's and had an excellent meal at lunchtime, we were really looking forward to the same experience. Unfortunately it was not to be. My wife and daughter ordered the Burger Meal and I ordered Fish & Chips. The fish was small and the batter very light. However, the chips, although plentiful, were poor. They appeared to be pre-frozen, carried little or no taste and had very little potato at their centre. I pointed this out to two members of staff and they just shrugged their shoulders. This plate cost £18 pounds and was not good value for money. Will probably not return ... sadly. By the way, the same chips came with the burgers.

A very pleasant lunchtime visit. Welcomed warmly to this dog friendly venue by polite staff. A good selection of drinks, being a beer man it was nice to see Pollys and Deya amongst the choices. Main courses were all good - fish & chips, mussels and steak sandwich were all very much enjoyed! Followed up by Eton Mess & Afagato, enjoyed by us all. No negatives from me (or accompanying family members), a great, independent establishment with a wide range of standard and special lunchtime dishes, polite & helpful staff members. Thank you!

This is a terrific place. Huge range of beers, decent wine list with some crackers in there, and the food hovers between superb and divine. Ate there twice in a week and both times the same. Marvellous steak, great fish, and a chicken pie with pastry that is miraculous. The staff are lovely and dealt with a minor crisis perfectly on one of our visits. Just wish I lived in Cowbridge so I could visit it often.

Sunday Lunch on 10th March was outstanding!! We are regulars here and love all the food options but this was the best Sunday Lunch we have ever had. Cauliflower cheese was amazing! Harry's staff are all lovely, friendly and cannot do enough for you, providing a wonderful service making you feel special. Just the most perfect place to be with a superb atmosphere. What else can I say? Oh yes, Dog friendly. 🐾🐾

I have been there several times for breakfast (eggs Benedict), lunch and dinner. With family and friends. My mum (Italian) had a great fresh pasta dish. Delicious food, great atmosphere, large quantities. Great for a pre dinner drink with a friend, or a for a family lunch or dinner.

Beautiful cafe and bar. Looks small from the outside, but inside if has utilized all its space to create a cozy stylish bar Food was really nice. Wait staff were very attentive The only negative our table was by the kitchen and i think they have a music type of alert when something was ready. It did get a bit annoying so i would ask for a table in a different area However it does work because the food was really hot I highly recommend you try Harrys if you are in the area

Visited Friday before Christmas, it was a nice atmosphere and very busy. Despite this service was very good. We both enjoyed our meals and felt they were good value.

We have been here a few weeks in a row for business lunches. The food is superb, great coffee, beautiful decor and such friendly attentive staff. Highly recommend the Chicken Milanese - delicious. Have also had coffee and cake here - both fabulous also (highly recommend the brownies) Our favourite place to meet and eat in Cowbridge - so cosy and fab interiors.

another great breakfast at Harrys. been a few months since my last visit and quality of food and presentation was just as previous visit. Has to be the best breakfast in the Vale. Yes it might be a bit more expensive than the average but the atmosphere and surroundings more than make up for it. Host Stuart is always welcoming and ensures everything runs smoothly.

We dropped in hoping to grab some lunch, and Harry's didn't disappoint. The weather was foul but the welcome was very warm and the atmosphere was was friendly and welcoming. We both enjoyed our food and went on to order desserts, which were delicious. The service was friendly and efficient, so we felt relaxed and didn't feel rushed. We'll definitely return. I don't really like to post negative reviews, and we have been to Harry's Bar a few times before. But my husband and I had a special Anniversary, Thursday 14th and decided we would want to spend the evening at Harry's, I booked the table I wanted weeks in advance, but on arrival we were told our table had been occupied for the past 3 and a half hours and they didn't like to move them, so even though there were lots of other tables free we had to choose somewhere else to sit. This may sound petty but this was a special evening for us and we felt this was not very professional for a restaurant , personally my evening was spoilt, so sorry , but for many reasons I will not be recommending Harry's to our friends and business clients in the future.

As always food was excellent, the service and staff were amazing. It was my daughter's at home hen party,and they made our day. Highly recommend Harry's bar for any occasion.

We had a wonderful evening out at Harry’s. It has a relaxing, friendly ambience and we had excellent service from Stuart. The food was superb! I had a very generous serving of lamb chops, which were cooked to perfection and accompanied by lashings of the best tzatziki I’ve ever tasted. A really memorable meal!

Called in on the off chance with some friends - altho very busy they managed to accommodate us. It turned out to be a great find and we will definitely be visiting again. The restaurant and beer garden are top notch and very comfortable. A fantastic selection of beers/spirits. All the staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us,. Everything was spotlessly clean. The food we had - starter/mains - was cooked perfectly to our liking. Harry's bar just become a new favourite with our group...
