Harry's Bar & Brasserie in Newcastle upon Tyne

Finalmente encontramos un pub en Newcastle que hacía Sunday Lunch donde podíamos llevar al perro. Me dijeron que solo podíamos sentarnos en el bar con el perro - no el restaurante. Bastante bien. Luego le dijeron que no sirven almuerzo de domingo en el bar (sirvió todo lo demás) - tienes que estar en el restaurante para obtener almuerzo de domingo. Obviamente otros 5 pasos era demasiado lejos para caminar con el almuerzo del domingo, pero no demasiado lejos para nada más fuera del menú. Patético.

We chose Harry’s as it is directly opposite the Theatre Royal which we were visiting. Turned out to be an excellent choice. The ambiance was goos as was all the food and drinks that we had. What really stood out for us was the staff, who were all brilliant. Can’t wait to return

Very disappointing- ordered the special. Fish of the day with seasonal veg and potatoes. The waiter stated it was salmon. It was a small piece of white fish? Mash veg and a pot of what looked like vegetable soup?. Was awful- if anyone had asked how our food was I would have complained. My friend didn’t want to make a fuss so I didn’t say anything. Don’t recommend

My friend and I booked for Xmas lunch and attended today. The food and service was fantastic, bearing in mind the restaurant was very busy. We had a brilliant Xmas lunch last year but this year it was even better. 10/10 Harry’s ⭐️⭐️

Works do. Drinks took ages. Food was very poor. An animal died needlessly to provide the pork and the crackling was like rubber. Feel embarrassed for my boss. Merry Christmas

Please avoid this place as the door man has a power problem. I went out for a few drinks in town with family and I tried to go here and the door man refused me entry because in his opinion I had had to much to drink. As I had only Been out a couple of hours and had been for food aswell I think he had a problem with something else. I'm a grown man of 57yrs old so maybe it was my age but hey ho they missed out on our business and we won't ever go back and I will make sure my friends and family don't go back. Door man has a major attitude problem so do yourself a favour and don't go here.

Visited prior to going to see Disney on Ice. meals included the Classic Burger, Fish & chips & a gluten free carbonara. Haing had the carbonara the week before I was looking forward to it once again but sadly the pancetta or whatever the meat cubes were, were so, so chewy & at times despite my best efforts was unable to do so. Mentioned it to a staff member who stated I'll let the chef know. The other mains were very nice & the gluten free chocolate souffle was lovely.

Celebrating a Birthday,nice atmosphere the staff contributed to that. Davie and Rohan made our afternoon with the friendly banter ! Nice work lads we had a great afternoon . Both a credit to the bar!

Standards have most definitely slipped! We usually go here once a month for a general catch-up and food is usually fine. Today it was just say warm and staff not really interested when you point out the failings 🤷

Seven of us ladies had lunch here to celebrate a family member's 80th birthday. The Grill area is lovely; it had a great atmosphere but was not too noisy, and we had a good table. We all had differing things to eat ranging from pasta to Sunday lunch and everyone enjoyed their food and wine. No one could manage a dessert! The staff were excellent, not just due to their friendliness and the great service they provided, but above all they made a big fuss of our Octogenarian - all wishing her a Happy Birthday, taking photos of the group, and bringing out an ice cream Sundae with a sparkler for her before we left. They were genuinely caring and so welcoming - it all made for a great afternoon.

Absolutely wonderful lunch once again... we'll always recommend 👌 the staff and food are both amazing !!! Introduced friends, who day they'll also recommend...

Went for a meal to celebrate my husband's birthday on Tuesday night, the choice of food is amazing and everything we had was delicious. Service was great, staff were friendly and attentive and it was a lovely relaxing environment..just what we were looking for! Will definitely be back..

Looked inviting from the outside so in we went. Pleasant, helpful staff showed us to our seats. Loved the decor, however the plastic roses, for me were a no,no. Food was delicious, we had starters, a main and of course desserts. All were well presented. Will certainly return.

Went here for Sunday lunch , ordered pate and calamari to start , the pate seemed like it had been frozen was very crumbly and bitty , calamari was not crispy like it had been sat under lights too long after coming out of fryer , ate both as was extremely hungry, main came we had a pork and a chicken roast , wasn’t expecting much after starter but was surprised it was lovely would defo go back and just have a Sunday lunch main. Service was ok although as it was quite waitresses kept doing the same job so we were asked for drinks order and table checked on mains twice , then when it came to paying bill no waitress seemed to be available.

Excellent food and service. I would definitely recommend this restaurant, the staff were lovely and very attentive. We ( family of 6) had a delicious 3 course meal on the last day of our holiday which made a lovely end to our stay.

Superb !Superb! Superb! The service from arriving to departing was fantastic. A warm welcome, friendly staff, and delicious food, made this a wonderful Sunday lunch experience for our family. Special mention to the very friendly gentleman carving the meat and to the lovely young man who showed us the best accessible entrance & exit for the less mobile customer. He even said we could ring the bell outside and they would come open the door and help us in. I hope your management team read these reviews, they need to know they have some terrific staff. We will certainly be returning to see you all again. Keep up the good work.

First time here and really enjoyed the experience, we had food from the bar menu, fish coujons and chicken coujons, great value for money. We will def be back.

My wife and I booked Sunday lunch at Harry’s 16th June 2024. Busy day as also Father’s Day. My wife ordered the rare sirloin beef and I ordered lamb for myself. The meats are carved from joints on trollies in the restaurant and served with roasties and Yorkshire pudding on the plate, a dish of vegetables served separately. Much prefer that than having everything piled on the plate. What can I say, delicious and also very attentive serving staff. Don’t do traditional Sunday roasts very often - however always happy to indulge at Harry’s @ Newcastle

Had a roast beef lunch here today and it was delicious. The best beef I have tasted for months. Friendly staff made the experience even better.

I spent a week in Newcastle and couldn’t find a decent restaurant, and then….. I looked inside a very buzzy ‘young’ pub, and at the back they had a restaurant. Well…. I’m so glad I went in. It was the best fish and chips I’ve had for years. The cod was so fresh and the batter beautiful. It was a massive menu. Service perfect and it was very busy, usually service falls down when busy. I went there for the last 3 nights. Well done Harry’s bar.

Went for pre theatre lunch today. I ordered lamb chops cooked medium, no juices running. Unfortunately when I cut into one the blood spurted. I would have eaten it if I could, but really couldn't face it so rare. The lovely waiting staff rectified it immediately and all of them were so sorry about it. To me it's not a.problem if something is not quite right; it's how it's dealt with. They were impeccable. The lovely lady manager, don't know her name sorry, came over to tell me she had removed the whole cost if my meal from the bill, even the starter which had been perfect as had my husband's meal. They couldn't have been fairer. We have been there many times and intend to go many more.

My son and daughter-in-law introduced us to this restaurant when we were looking for somewhere to have lunch on a busy Saturday afternoon. It’s not exactly a hidden gem - I’ve just never spotted it before. It was busy when we arrived , but the helpful staff had no problems finding us a lovely booth and getting us settled. Fantastic atmosphere, great staff and an excellent menu. The waiter took our order and the food arrived quite quickly. He had mixed up my son’s order, but was at pains to get the error corrected as soon as possible and let us keep the wrong order, free of charge. All of the food was excellent and my daughter-in-law even had one of their excellent mocktails. It’s right next to the Theatre Royal, so we’ll definitely be back at some point.

Went here as our first port of call on our weekend Newcastle trip. Very busy and a great atmosphere. Ordered a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc at £23.50 - my wife says it is a good price. Bar was warm which was a positive since it was cold outside. There was a smell of burnt fat so wouldn’t order chips and this may explain the negative food comments. Toilets were great and background music to my taste so will be back - after I’ve eaten.

Enjoyed a lovely lunch here with friends opted for the set menu of 3 courses for £21 starter of prawn cocktail main of salmon and dessert of lemon cheesecake all 3 courses were very tasty and well presented well worth the money service was really quick and friendly would definitely return 😋

A lovely experience, visited the restaurant on a Wednesday evening, seated by a charming silver haired Frenchman, who took an amused interest in my mediocre French and taught me some pronunciations :) Then presented with the food; perhaps the largest fish and chips portion ever, crisply battered and very soft fish, with chunky chips. My friend ordered the prawn francesco; a less generous portion of only 6 prawns, but the buttery shallot sauce was delicious. A lovely Wednesday, will return to try more of the menu.

We went for a pre theatre meal. Even at 6pm on a Friday it was busy but there were plenty of friendly and attentive staff. There was a lovely atmosphere and we were quickly served. My portion of chicken fajitas was huge, though I have had tastier ones. Prices were very fair for the size of portions and location.

I felt I had to write this review. I usually do not like to leave bad reviews. However I visited Harry’s with 5 other friends for a birthday. We waited about 45 minutes , maybe more for our mains. Not one of the staff informed us why our meal was delayed until we queried this. We were sitting near the till area and it was very clear how the staff at till were too busy with other people who were not actually in the restaurant. No attention was paid to the customers in the restaurant. I felt it was very “clicky”!! Two meals were cold. Mine was tasteless - I had Harry’s ravioli. Awful!! Then our bill came and there was a £16 service charge. We refused to pay this!! Not on of the staff asked how our meal was or even thanked us on leaving!! Absolutely shocking service. I have been here before but this will be the last!!

Absolutely lovely meal as always very reasonably priced for quality food, especially when having the pre theatre special. We had prawn cocktail and potato skins. My husband had the burger and I had the best pork chops I have ever eaten. So succulent but crispy on the outside. Most of the staff are lovely, but our favourite waitress started her shift just in time to collect our empty plates. Despite only having served us twice before, she came over to us and welcomed us with a beaming smile. It really makes you feel appreciated as a returning customer when this happens, and these days it rarely does. Her name is Olivia and she a beautiful girl both inside and out. Real credit to your business. We always come before a theatre matinee and have many more shows booked! Look forward to seeing you soon. Thank you. Xx

Had two drinks here. The first drink was served by a very surly man with dirty nails that threw my drink at me. So 0 out of 5 for him and his dreadful attitude. Second drink - different bar was a totally different experience. Served by Jack, very smiley and lovely. Drinks top class and he definitely gets 5 stars. Thank you Jack. Redeemed Harry’s reputation.

We had a great time at Harrys Bar food was great and Fantastic service by Christina she made us very welcome and her service was great, cant wait to come back

Chaotic and intense, fought our way through a busy and very loud bar to get to the “restaurant”, loads of staff barging about, looking busy but not doing anything. We weren’t welcomed, and weren’t made to feel welcome either, waited ages for someone to take our drinks order, none of the staff would make eye contact with us, one waiter kept running past our table. Our waitress was OK in a bolshy/scary kind of way, when she took our order she had to come back to ask what one of our menu choices was (there were only 2 of us!), the food was mediocre. The waiter who brought the food actually threw my plate in front of me, he said the plate was hot (it wasn’t remotely warm!), I had to ask him to take away the plates from our starter. We had to wait half an hour for the bill. Wouldn’t go back, and certainly wouldn’t recommend.

Visited today with a friend. Paid £14 for lasagne, the smallest lasagne I have ever had. Only filled half the dish I was served it in, no garlic bread or garnish. Still hungry after, ordered a side of chips, £5 and got 6 chunky chips. £19 and still hungry after me food. The food was lovely, but not worth £20.

After a visit to the Theatre we went to Harry’s Bar for something to eat as we have done before Unfortunately I was really disappointed with my meal -Feather blade of beef which was too fatty to eat The restaurant manager asked if everything was okay with my meal as it was obvious I wasn’t eating it so I told her it was too fatty.She took it to the chef and came back and said the chef had said that with that cut of meat it can be fatty and did I want something else.As my friend had now practically finished her fish and chips which she said was lovely I said no thank you She could have taken the cost of the beef off the bill but she didn’t I left feeling very disappointed

We were up in Newcastle from the South East on a midweek break. Ordered our meal and it was just delicious. Our table had burgers, steak and pizzas as well as cocktails which were just great. The place is lovely but what makes it is the staff, they all are so friendly and very welcoming. We had a lovely waiter but didn't get his name, very professional and lovely manner about him. (Dark hair middle aged man). Anyway, next time we are up we will definitely be back.

Very good service, excellent food and drinks, and a wonderful atmosphere. We called in with 1 hour to spare (we had a train to catch). We were shown immediately to a very nice booth table, our order taken very swiftly, and we were served in under 10 minutes. The chicken wings were gorgeous! We will certainly be back. We visited Harry’s before seeing a musical at the Theatre royal.It was perfectly situated - just across the road from the theatre, which was perfect for my grandmother who has low mobility.The food was very good and came quickly, which I had been concerned about as I had read previous reviews saying it had taken a while. The servers were all very friendly and helpful.The only negative is that I was eating with two vegetarians and they felt there wasn’t many choices for vegetarians- and even fewer for vegans.

We booked here for a pre-theatre meal and had stated this.Our welcome was okay and drinks order quickly taken, but after that the service was slow. We had to request a vegan menu, and the choices for vegetarians and vegans was uninspiring. I opted for a Burrata salad. Our order was taken over 40 minutes after we arrived, despite us being ready for over 30 minutes and several other tables arrived after us, ordered and were served. I was then informed they were out of Burrata. It was substituted with mozzarella but this wasn’t reflected in the bill. We managed to order a second drink but didn’t have time for a pudding… won’t be recommending this to anyone at the theatre. It felt that if you were a table of females your were given more attention.

Having visited here a couple of years ago, we thought we'd pop in for a cocktail or two before we embarked on even more retail therapy.....and it was just as nice as we remembered it.Being lunchtime the place wasn't heaving and we were able to get a table easily enough. Drinks were ordered at the bar and delivered to our table. We also opted for some chicken dippers as a little treat, and were cooked to perfection and served with a generous portion of fries.Unfortunately there are no deals on cocktails, however, having tasted a slightly watered down version of Pina Colada earlier in the week, it was great to have a proper one at last, even if it did make the shopping trip a tad fuzzy!Staff were great, with our server giving us some great recommendations for a Chinese eatery.You won't be disappointed if you like a venue with a great ambience, and super background music.

My wife and I came down for a few days. We found this magnificent restaurant by chance. I really don't know where to start. When we arrived the staff were so friendly and helpful. The food was probably the best I've ever had in an Italian. This will definitely be on our to visit list again.

I was quite disappointed as I read a lot of good reviews on this bar. My friend and I came for lunch and ordered a pizza and a salad. Although my salad was quite nice to look at , it was the opposite.. to be honest very disappointing as it only consisted of a few tomatoes,mozzarella and few leaves which cost me £10.95. For the price it was definitely not worth it! My friend ordered a chicken pizza and it was basically a margherita where a few chicken pieces were thrown on. The only good thing I can really say was the service! We had a lovely waitress which was very friendly and always asked if we were alright ! Therefore look out for Sophie as she was amazing! All in all service was friendly but food not really :(

We love Harry’s Bar always manage to get our favourite comfy chairs near the window ,I’m Sure the lovely young lady who came over to see if we would like another drink was called Harriet ,very pleasant .It’s well situated across the road from the Theatre Royal ,so handy for drink or a meal or both .They do very good food ,and it’s a very nice atmosphere

Just been to harrys for the first time following a recommendation, we had about 4 cocktails each and they were all excellent and well presented. Joe at the bar was knocking them all up and he was polite and friendly as I asked probably too many questions as he was making them. Totally recommend harrys bar good atmosphere and staff.... we will definitely be back

Out with friends for our monthly meet. We were all so impressed with our waitress. She was exceptional with a lovely happy helpful personality. After memorising our drinks request she returned to memorised our food order without writing it down which was 5 starters and 5 main courses that were all different. We were so taken aback by her we started to ask her questions. She was born in Russia and can also speak Greek and English. What an asset she is for Harrys, a breath of fresh air. Kath and the girls.

Visited Harry’s for the first time on a visit to Newcastle. Staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming. The food was very good and really good portions. Would definitely recommend.

Not been to Harrys for awhile but decided to try the Sunday lunch. For a warm welcome from Gino. Starter of calamari was lively and light. We both had the roast beef Which was carved at the table by the lovely Sergio. The Yorkshire's were as light as a feather. Vegetables not overcooked and marvelous gravy. Washed down with two bottles of the cabinet aayvignon. Couldn't manage dessert was stuffed. And thank you to Mathilda as well. Will be back.Ed Rollo

On Friday 11th June myself and 5 others attended your bar where we had a table booked for my partners birthday celebrations. I wanted to tell yous that from start to finish the staff were fantastic. We arrived and were efficiently pointed out where to go by doormen outside, that’s when we were greeted by Emma and swiftly sat at our table where we spent the night. Throughout the night your staff (all of them) were nothing but efficient in taking our orders and bringing the drinks to us. The night was lively from start to finish which is exactly what we wanted. I wanted to mention Dan, Emma and Miro - these 3 members of staff were golden and a crucial part to our night being so enjoyable!We will definitely be returning and look forward to doing so. Well done on working so well giving these circumstances, it was fantastic.

Popped in for early evening meal (Monday, quite busy but able to get a table) We decided to share a few starters alongside absolutely beautiful sizzling chicken fajitas. Brilliant service, beautiful food. Loved it.

Good ambiance, lively given the current circumstances but extremely slow service- waited nearly an hour for two pinots, drinks that take only a minute to pour!

So never been before and had heard good things but not as great as i was led to believe. Food prices looked good, especially 2 course meal deal. Both of us as it happen, ordered the same starter and main. Potato skins with dips, followed by the chicken peanut satay. Drinks were slightly expensive but no great shakes, only one person drinking, one driver. Potato skins were great, satay, i have issues with. What i was served didnt taste of malay satay or chinese satay, ive lived in both places. Satay has a rich vibrant taste, not in evidence here. No nut taste, no evidence of peanut. What i could taste was thai coconut curry. It was well presented, just not satay. Rice was good. There was a 10 percent service charge applied, was not warned of this. All in all ok. Nothing bad, service very polite but not sure i would come back.

This place is well organised! A great atmosphere with excellent friendly accommodating staff. Great Covid rules without the feeling of a strict procedure. We had a few snacks which arrived quickly and the place was super busy! Definitely have a visit it’s well worth it,

Great service and great beer. The staff are under immense pressure and all had a smile on their faces. The lady on the bookings at the door did her best to fit people in if they didnt have a booking. It was an enjoyable afternoon.

Went to Harry’s on the off chance of a spare table ,staff were great to accommodate us especially the lady that looks after the bookings a lovely lady very polite .had a great day and night in Harry’s .

we came here as nowhere else was available and thank god we did the service by Deborah and Holly was outstanding they made our night perfect, and the food is really good. Overall a really amazing experience. Will be back!!

We visited Harry's yesterday for lunch. Could not fault the food and the excellent service. The prices are reasonable and there was plenty of choice. The best thing about this place is the staff, who are attentive and friendly. It was lovely to have a bit of normality and we will definitely be going back. We also met a real life hero who had saved a man's life earlier in the week.

Came here with a mask wearing friend for food and a cocktail lunch time. I’m exempt from wearing a face mask. Guy front of house came across as rude. Throughout this whole period of time I’ve never been asked to provide proof of exemption because a) it’s nobody’s business b) you don’t need to provide any proof whatsoever on any occasion c) check the government guidelines on this before asking. I did tell him I could google the exemption card from the government website and he said he was just doing his job. No. His job is to ask if you have a face covering NOT why or ask for evidence of this. Even if he wasn’t supposed to com across rude it’s absolutely none of his business. Staff in restaurant were great and fun however and food was lovely. Of course the covid police will be checking up but again if a person states they are exempt then leave it at that in future. Maybe at a time where people are supporting your restaurant you want them to come in and feel comfortable. I did see another older lady not wearing a mask who appeared to know all the staff. Who cares not my business but she seemed to get better treatment. Again, restaurant staff were lovely and friendly as usual. As we left in human error my friend forgot to put her mask on..she started reaching for it out of her bag in a little panic. We had a short straight walk out the door. The same guy told us to put our masks on. Yes to her but maybe a more human approach could do next time. Until there are no restrictions I won’t be back or be suggesting it to my group of friends/family. Other bars had more of a relaxed entry and common sense approach.

Went to Harry’s for Sunday lunch. Roast beef sirloin was delicious, nice and pink just right, service was also good. Looking forward to going back again.

Visited Sunday for some drinks and food. Couldn’t fault it the staff were great and food was nice however we ordered two of the chicken goujons one came out with 5 chicken strips the other with 3..

Not been to Harry's for awhile. They do a Sunday lunch carved at the table. The usual vivid restrictions applied. Had the calamari starter. Very light and not chewy at all. I had the beef pink. It just fell apart it was so tasty. Lovely Yorkshire's and gravy and vegetables. This was washed down with two bottles of Malbec. This was ably served by the lovely Gino. Nothing was too much trouble. Also spoke to the duty manager Mustapha. Thank you gentlemen. Ed Rollo

Uno de nuestros lugares favoritos, siempre ve aquí cuando estés en Newcastle, es el primero en la lista, es nuestra rutina Harry's Bar para comenzar nuestra visita a la ciudad, tenemos nuestros asientos favoritos en las cómodas sillas junto a la ventana, viendo cómo se va el mundo. por, G&T sentarse y relajarse. normalmente no comemos, pero lo hemos hecho en el pasado, y tengo que decir que la comida no decepciona. Es una buena configuración para las comidas y hay diferentes áreas en el bar, si quieres tener un poco de espacio para ti, lo cual es genial. El personal es excelente, nos atendió Serehce, espero haberlo escrito bien, era una niña encantadora, muy amable y servicial, hace una gran diferencia, y es por eso que amamos este lugar, tiene un buen personal y un ambiente agradable, lo siento para ver que el lugar no está tan ocupado como de costumbre en estos tiempos, ya que normalmente luchas por entrar, han perdido muchos negocios con el Theatre Royal cerrado, que está enfrente, y los asistentes al teatro que acuden directamente al Harry's Bar, Pero todo está en su lugar para mantener a los clientes seguros a su llegada, así que intentemos mantener estos lugares abiertos, estamos haciendo nuestro mejor esfuerzo

Visitamos hoy para el cumpleaños de mi esposo. La comida fue excelente. ¡El personal es simplemente maravilloso! Me sentí muy seguro. Tuve el especial de dos platos para 12. 95 la sopa de champiñones era simplemente hermosa y mi hamburguesa estaba perfectamente preparada. El marido comió un bistec y dijo que estaba delicioso. Definitivamente volveremos x

Normalmente no escribes reseñas, pero hay que hacerlo. . Estuve aquí por primera vez el sábado por la noche para mi cumpleaños. ¡Absolutamente increíble de principio a fin! ¡Sin duda uno de los mejores restaurantes que he visitado! El servicio era de 5 estrellas y la comida y los cócteles eran fabulosos. Realmente espero que la gerencia sepa lo increíble que es su personal, honestamente, no podría culparlos a pesar de que el lugar estaba completamente lleno (todavía socialmente distanciado), el personal parecía no tener problemas para mantenerse al día con la alta demanda. Recomiendo totalmente este lugar siempre y cuando no le importe el ambiente ruidoso y ajetreado. Volveré lo antes posible. Ojalá hubiera captado el nombre del camarero que nos sirvió esa noche, ya que era fabuloso. ¿¿Bien hecho??

Reservé una mesa en línea y fui a la hora asignada. No hubo seguimiento y rastreo ni confirmaron mi reserva (¿de qué sirve reservar si no la necesitan?). Estábamos sentados en nuestra mesa que estaba distanciada de las demás. Cualquiera que no usara una máscara que entrara fue desafiado (con razón). Después de un par de pintas, tomamos cócteles que fueron muy agradables (¡recomiendo el Espresso Martini!!!). El personal fue lo suficientemente amable y atento. Aparte de las preocupaciones anteriores, una buena manera de terminar la velada.

Harry's es ahora un lugar habitual para que las personas mayores vayamos los sábados por la tarde. Fuimos de nuevo ayer para comer y beber y quedamos muy impresionados por lo mucho que el personal hizo para mantenernos a nosotros y a ellos a salvo. Tuvimos que hacer cola para entrar, dejar detalles, nos llevaron a una mesa y tuvimos que quedarnos allí. Teníamos que usar nuestras máscaras cada vez que íbamos al baño. Nuestra comida era tan buena como siempre, aunque el menú es limitado y los camareros eran geniales. Me encantan los mojitos.

Fui a tomar una copa, pero me quedé por una porque me sentí incómodo debido a la falta de distancia entre las mesas en la barra delantera. Como Harry's fue una de las barras que se abrieron más tarde, esperaba que tuviera el espacio correcto en su lugar. En cambio, todas las mesas siguen ahí y se utilizan sin divisores, por lo que los clientes están demasiado cerca. Los clientes parecen incapaces de usar las máscaras correctamente y no se les recuerda que lo hagan. El servicio es increíblemente lento ya que el personal del bar se reduce. No volveré pronto.

Visited here on Saturday for the first time since it reopened and it was fab. The food was amazing and the service was good as always! Nice to see it back open

Tres de nosotros comimos aquí el lunes 21 de septiembre alrededor de las 5 de la tarde. Nos sentamos rápidamente y el camarero fue muy atento y tenía una manera agradable y amable. Tuve el tagliatelle boloñesa y mis dos invitados comieron el pollo supremo que ambos acordaron que estaba delicioso. Mi pasta también era deliciosa y todos los tamaños de las porciones eran abundantes. Todos los platos fueron cocinados frescos.Los precios eran los que esperaría de un restaurante en el centro de la ciudad y el restaurante estaba limpio y ordenado

Tomo lo que dijeron otras críticas sobre las reglas de Covid, pero estoy llegando a aceptar que la normalidad lo hace más relajado, sin dejar de tener precaución. Por lo que pude ver, nos dieron nuevos menús y, en general, el personal se mantuvo a distancia.Aparecimos aquí por casualidad y honestamente podemos decir que estamos contentos de haberlo hecho.El ambiente era perfecto, tanto que paramos para tomar otra copa.El asado del domingo se veía genial, pero solo fuimos por hamburguesas que estaban muy sabrosas.Todo el personal con el que tratamos fue excepcionalmente atento pero muy amable y conversador también, yo diría que estaba lleno en un tercio, por lo que no fue demasiado silencioso.Gran camarero amable (¿un manc?) Y el supervisor del restaurante estuvo en la bola todo el tiempo. ¡Debe caminar millas en cada turno!

Fantastic drinks at Harry’s. Covid complaint and all drinks served promptly. Idir was a great host and made sure all our drinks were topped up. Will definitely come again.

We always call here when we’re in Newcastle. It has a great atmosphere and the service is always spot on. We called 11.9.20, shortly after their Covid-19 reopening. It’s great to see Harry’s open again. At 4.15p. It was already buzzing. We hadn’t booked in advance but we were shown straight to a table. We opted to order our own drinks at the bar, and received the usual fast and friendly service. It felt wonderful to be back, can’t wait to visit again!

Love popping in to Harry’s for afternoon drinks. Great atmosphere and decoration throughout the whole venue. A must visit.

Cocktails before our booked evening meal. Pornstar Martini and Bramble cocktail were ordered and timed at 20 minutes to get the TWO drinks. Shocking Bar person had to leave the bar area on two occasions to get ingedients for the cocktails. Two other customers remarked on the service at the main bar area. Surely it isnt rocket science that the bar should have the irequired ingredients to hand for standard cocktails from the menu . The barmaid searched along the main area for the required liquids at other points and still no progress. Harry’s is advertised as a town venue for cocktails Poor service and a fellow customer wished me well and hoped I would be served soon as he left after a considerable wait too . Thing is the bar was not REALLY busy for a Saturday 14 th March at 5.15PM Disappointed at Best
