Been given a parking fine for using the pub car park. Should really be notified upon being served. Seen better atmosphere at funerals too, used to be a good pub

Many happy memories of The Harrows, visiting with family and friends over the years. The pub has undoubtedly suffered over the years with the supermarkets and their cheap alcohol sales. The pub isn't what it once was but manages still to be a reasonably amiable pub that does what it says on the tin. The food is affordable and perfectly ok. While the atmosphere is simply that of a typical pub and a typical pub. You won't be disappointed but you won't hurry back either.

Sunday roast was very good, the lady behind the bar, and serving us, was attentive and made us feel very welcome; despite being very busy herself.

Went for a beer on entering the carpark Uckps camera system in place WHAT pub does this only for kick back from these crooks asked the barmaid she said due to other people parking in there carpark they decided to do this stop others parking illegally we took photos for proof as we have had have had problems before this parking company are crooks wont be going back there due to this pub is basically run down no handryer in toliets no amsphere sorry another skint pub

Friendly staff, great food, good company :) Local friendly pub. If you want it a bit quieter, sit in the conservatory window section :)

Firstly let me say that we were grateful to find somewhere to have dinner that was walking distance from my mother's house. The local pub is dying and this is a bad thing. That being said, this is not a good example of a local pub. My pie was overcooked and dry. It reminded me of the cheap steak pies that I bought from Tesco as a student 40 years ago. The service was ok for me but my mum claimed that they were often rude and once they ripped her off giving her the more expensive dinner menu version of the fish and chips instead of the lunch menu version despite it being lunchtime. The locals were loud and were watching football in the restaurant area. On the plus side the prices were ok and the tables were clean.

Just went in for a drink with the husband, friendly bar staff.

We visited here for a meal whilst visiting family. We reserved a table easily and I had the steak pie meal with coffee. Really nice. Been before and would go again.

A brilliant pub with great staff and excellent food. Highly recommend.

Nicely presented food and very tasty however the carvery beef and veg was warm, had the hot apple pie and custard, it was not hot, will try again as staff are friendly and food is good, just needs to be hot.

Enjoyable time considering I was a total stranger

We dropped in for dinner . We had the specials deal, 2 meals for £22. Only a limited choice as 2 items were not available. The meals were good and well cooked. The pub was lacking atmosphere as hardly anyone in and was not warm. The member of staff was friendly and efficient .

We wanted to support our local pub so book here with friends, a nice clean comfy lounge. The food was good and came nice and hot and very well presented. Overall we enjoyed our experience, unfortunately we won’t be visiting again as long as the television stays in the lounge. We wondered why there were so many available seats and only 2 other customers eating. Part way through our meal we were overwhelmed with about 4/5 very loud drinkers watching football to the point that we could not communicate across our table, our pleasant evening was spoiled. A lounge shouldn’t have a tv in especially when food is being served. So good luck with your venture but until the tv goes we and numerous of our friends will go elsewhere. A pity as you’re our local.

Food is amazing, from snacks to Sunday dinners. A huge variety of drinks on offer, the staff are knowledgeable and go out of their way to help.

What a shambles, ordered fish & chips. Waited 40 mins before they arrived soggy batter, very small piece of fish. Chips passable. ( just). At 12.30 some things already off the menu..ordered apple pie and a cheesecake. It took a staggering 20 mins it say cheese cake off the menu...10 mins after that no apple pie. You couldn't make it up...felt very sorry for the bar staff.. left wanting! with a greasy after taste and a very poor experience. Never again....

Very good service friendly staff clean and tidy

First time calling in to this establishment, normally call at another venue managed by the landlord but currently not serving food. Menu was simple and basic nothing extravagant which is good to see. Food did take a while to be delivered seems we only had mains, but the wait was worthwhile as when it came out it went down a treat! Scored low on atmosphere as the pub was quiet

Wow great roast dinner and lots of it. Would like to have seen broccoli or parsnips though but that is just my preference the veg we did get was very nice.

Not a bad pub, far from great. Pool table is supposed to be free on Sundays, it hasn't been on the two Sundays we visited. One of the barmaids gets in a hump and moans very loudly at her colleagues if you order too many pints of Guinness and it's not St.Patricks Day, pro-tip to bar staff, don't moan about your customers drinks order, especially when they're ordering one of the most expensive pints most pubs serve!

Went for a meal on Saturday evening, the food was really nice for a basic menu, the staff were friendly and accommodating, but a little slow to serve drinks at the bar. (it was busy) The TV volume made it challenging to have a conversation, (and I personally feel having casualty on didn't add to the ambiance), but I would be happy to eat there again.

We have eaten here a couple of times before and the food has been fine but this time it was very disappointing. So much so, I had a couple bites of mine and couldn't eat the rest. The fish was like mush and the potatoes used to make the skin on chips hadn't been washed properly so you could taste and feel the bits of grit in your mouth. It wasn't just me though, the others in our party weren't happy either. One even said it was probably one of the worst meals they'd ever eaten. They did at least try to eat theirs though but only because, we had been waiting so long for the food to arrive, they were really hungry by the time it did. Now, like most people, we understand that everyone has an off day but the staff never even asked if the food was ok. Very Poor

Staff are amazing! Great food (brisket beef and blue cheese is to die for), good beer, brilliant staff. They helped organise a surprise for my partner. They were so accommodating and just 100% brilliant.

Have been to visit the pub today for the first time, the lady at the bar was brilliant with my little boy . Swapped his drink when he didn’t like the one we ordered, brought him colouring pens etc and a little chocolate - which she asked if he could have - having had allergies in the family it’s a breath of fresh air people checking it’s allowed. Service 10/10 let people have what they wanted on the tv, food fantastic! Will be visiting again

Absolutely brilliant meal from the bar menu, last night. It was good that we booked in for Sunday lunch before we left. Best Sunday roast we've had in years. Marco Pierre White reckons perfection is lots of little things done well and that's exactly what we got Every single aspect of it was cooked to perfection. Can't recommend highly enough. It's what this side of North Hykeham has been crying out for. Great stuff. We'll be back.

My wife and I decided to call into the Harrows for a drink after reading about the recent refurbishment. We had the misfortune to be served by possibly the rudest barmaid I have ever met. I asked for a taste of the real ale, she uttered not one word, she just slammed it down on the bar. We ordered our drinks, again no interaction from the barmaid. We decided to have a second drink, and after waiting for around five minutes to be served, she managed to drag herself away from the other bar, where there were only a couple of customers. I and another guy were waiting for a refill. I ordered at the left hand side of the bar, and she plonked them down at the right hand side of the bar. I asked where our drinks were , and she said over there! No attempt to bring them to us. I doubt we will return! It’s a shame as it’s a nice pub. I really feel that the bar maid in question needs to address her customer service skills.

My husband and I went on Thursday night,no bitter!!!!!! Went tonight no white wine whatsoever. Not good enough really . Staff we're very friendly and apologetic though,its not their fault.

Great pub, good drinks selection (currently 3 hand pull ales - Tribute, Hobgoblin and Timothy Taylors). Pub was clean and well maintained, service was fantastic, efficient and friendly. Prices are really good - £6.40 for two pints. We went for the first time last night not really knowing what to expect but had a brilliant night out and would definitely go back again.

Lovely pint of ale in clean and comfortable surroundings. With the added bonus of not having to book six weeks in advance, specifying your inside leg measurements and what colour pants you'll be wearing (unlike some other pubs).

Started our night outside and ordered through the app. Moved inside to watch the football and ordered our 2nd - 4th round without any issues. Then ordered round 5 and 6, at the same time with two different orders. One came and the other didn't. No problem, just asked the staff if they had our other order. Turns out I ordered it to the table outside, apologised and explained. They brought the drinks over and said they had asked everyone if it was their drinks. Found that one staff member was bringing us order 5 whilst another was looking around for our order 6. Again we apologised and explained we had started the night outside and forgot to change our table number on the app. Thought we were having a laugh and joke with the landlord as she said we would have to pay , I said my friend would be pay it's all good. Then she kept "joking" about paying again and we said oh it's cause of the poor service we must have missed our drinks coming round. Completely thinking we were having a joke with them as we had a good laugh with the staff earlier that night. Then the landlord came over and said she had spoken to her partner and we had to pay for the drinks. She said they had to throw away the drinks, even though earlier she had said her and a staff member had drank them already, so not a complete waste at all. Little bewildered at the lack of customer service. It was two bottles of VK they had "thrown away" and charged us twice over a simple mistake. I would understand if we had ordered a 6 pint round and no one had claimed it, but we have now paid double for our 2 drinks even though we spent all night drinking 5 rounds quietly to ourselves watching the football. Started going 8 weeks ago first visit pleasant, second visit 2 weeks later packed out not a problem went elsewhere some function, 2 weeks later visit 3 have we booked a table , no just coming for a drink , but got told no cant come for just a drink have to book table due to bingo but was told we could book for next time and would accommodate us in the nice side of pub, all in diary, turn up tonight a bar man very rudely turned us away said we couldnt have a table we could go next door in rowdy bit with workmen no comfort area to sit , so for an Autistic person this was traumatic and for me my old local put me off returning ever again, but the game keeper has come up trumps !! I wont support somewhere that us unfriendly to learning disabled!

Wasn't a very welcoming place , the bar staff weren't very attentive and we were the only customers in the pub now I know why. It wasn't very clean at all especially the toilets. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Landlord and Landlady really friendly. Made to feel extremely welcome

Stopped going there over 2 years ago landlord miserable and landlady would rather text than serve customers.. Also having kettle and toaster in the lounge area not very appealing.

The land lord is just outright rude. The landlady is lively makes you feel wanted its a shame he let's the place down. Makes it seem such an effort to get your order likes it's a chore you've gone there to recieve a drink I won't be going there again.

Walked in to feel unwanted. Was empty bar 1 other customer. Barman/owner had no customer service skills, made us feel very unwanted and uncomfortable. It was like it was an effort to get a drink and an issue being there. Is my local but I won't be back.

My ale was the first of the day from the pump ( instead of pulling a drop off first). To be fair the landlord saw me pulling faces and replaced it but if pubs are serving real ale staff should know how to serve perfectly. For me the ambiance was not there and lacked the friendly welcome that pubs need nowadays

Beer is good and the best pork scratchings in the region. More people should get in here to make it truly thrive. Then the star rating would increase.
