Harris and Hoole in Kensington and Chelsea

Harris and Hoole is no longer here! You now go upstairs to where the clothes were and enter The Café and order on a screen! Food good but not a vast selection. Service quick and polite. The staff are super efficient and polite and attentive. Maybe some light music would help the lack of ambience. But it does the job.

The coffee was nice but the lady with dark hair and wet look leggings serving was so incredibly rude. I quite honestly can’t believe that they allow this kind of service to represent their brand. Could this be the reason for closure. I have visited Harris and Hoole in other locations and the staff are so friendly and welcoming. Even if you are having a bad day there is no need to be rude to customers spending their money. I’m sure H&H would be embarrassed to know an employee behaves in this manner.

Staff clearly hate their job - sandwich smells terribly off - they don’t have many items on their own menu - and the tables & seats r dirty - overprice & mismanaged (!)

Awful service. The barista makes you feel like you are inconveniencing her with your order and just continues to chat with the other barista. I had to ask her if she could please finish my order (they had no other orders) because she was just standing there with the milk in her hand chatting away. She didn’t even look up, just slammed the watery cafe on the counter. Bizarre…

It's a place for a quick coffee. There's nothing sophisticated about it.

Awful.How the mighty have fallen.Now has all the charm of an derelict train station. Weak coffee.Moody staff.Old furniture.Homeless people sleeping in armchairs.No crockery because the dishwasher not working.Empty shelves. Ugh.

I give up on this place, it’s near my house and convenient when I’m popping into Tescos but none of the staff can make a flat white, too much milk it’s always frothy? and tastes odd I also came in and said I had the app loyalty card and they didn’t scan it and took payment, and said they couldn’t scan the app after payment was took So I didn’t get any points on my loyalty card Over expensive and poor coffee, avoid !

Selling awful coffee for the specialty prices is nonsense. Any classic drinks with a milk is poor quality. Just burning milk. Baristas need to watch a video how to prepare drinks. The taste is worse than Costa’s vending machine.

The most vile coffee I have ever had from a coffee shop. I ordered a flat white and it appears Harris + Hoole have no idea what a flat white is! I was served a huge coffee with burnt, overheated milk. This coffee cost £3.95 but was undrinkable. The coffee shop area, and in fact the entire Tesco itself smells of raw sewage. Avoid at all costs

Honestly, the only downside is I don't live near enough to come here more often. Coffee Shops inside supermarkets are always a good thing, it's even better when it's a place that delivers a latte with the nice ratio.

Workers (including minors) are mistreated and forced to work with serious health problems

Selection of food but quite expensive. Surprised how much a single muffin cost and don't get me started on the sandwiches! Overall, nice seating area and bright lighting.

Called in whilst shopping at Tesco App did not work just scanning to collect vouchers not to pay and all I got from the manager when I tried to ask about it it is bad attitude Also out of hot food due to delivery problem - despite it being in Tesco with masses of food I won’t be calling again ! Shame used to be a good café

Disgraceful behaviour from a member of staff with black curly hair. Having grabbed a sandwich at nearby pret and sat in Harris and Poole I was straight away confronted by the man asking me to leave claiming that table is only reserved by customers of H&P. I said I was happy to order a coffee & something else and hence be your customer. He then said I must leave immediately in a very unpolite and frustated manner. I work in hospitality and know the value customer service. Be rude once, have a failed customer rapport in the future and make THE BRAND unwelcoming not only to that customer but to his acquaintances who would not consider stepping a foot in your establishment or its branches. Well done mate.

I'm coming here for years when I get my car washed. I like their coffee and some of their sandwiches; however, the kids prefer Prets' simpler flavoured offerings. Today, We have picked up a tuna sandwich from Pret for my daughter, and when I went over to Harris + Hoole to purchase myself one of their sandwiches and coffee, the tall employee with beard at the cash till told me, my daughter will not be allowed to eat her sandwich. When I pointed out to him that I am about to purchase their food and drink (paying customer), and my daughter doesn't like any of their sandwiches (trialled and failed over the years), he said he needs to pay rent too. So we returned to Pret, and I purchased my food and beverage from them. I am not sure how it makes business sense to turn away a paying customer when you have empty tables and no queuing customers. Anyway, we won't be returning to this particular branch again after coming here for years. It makes no sense to me how £3.5 sandwich is worth losing returning customers and getting bad reviews for bad customer experience.

Great place - love the coffee and the team headed by Simon. Jamal's always a laugh while he preps your coffee. An oasis of calm in my busy work day. Slightly addicted to their small skinny cappuccino with a half sugar and chocolate on top! Thanks guys/gals, great work.

Not go. The girl who served me tried to give me £5 note fake, when I asked her to change them in coins ,she refused, and I bought another item (which I don't want) to make her take the fake £5 note back. Don't go. Need to work on customer service. I would give less then zero.

One of the best Coffes i ever drink

By far the best coffee in the neighbourhood...crafted by skilled, diligent barista's. The issue here is two fold with some of the comments, that only a local would understand. Being situated inside Tesco opens it up to use by anyone and everyone, the staff cannot manage, If anyone has had a concession before will know. Also is a place that is frequented by local, elderly, disadvantaged people which is great, as the chains probably wouldn't allow them in. THE COFFEE IS WHAT YOU SHOULD RATE THEM ON AND ITS NO1 ALL THE TIME, KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK GUYS 💯🙏🙏

Im Harris and Hoole in London gibt es sehr leckeren Tee. Für eine kleine gemütliche Pause kann man sich dort in einem großen Lokal, welches über zwei Etagen Sitzmöglichkeiten bietet ausruhen. Der Tee wird in farbenfrohen Teekannen serviert. Preis/ Leistung ist hier optimal. Kann ich nur weiterempfehlen..

Best coffee i have ever tried, even i doubt its some special magical beans they using.

Plenty of seats. Just has sweets and treats, tea/coffee. It’s convenient for a quick snack.

Coffee is not up to other chains but it's a make do when shopping at Tesco

slow service and the quality of the coffee is either bad quality or burned as it tastes very acidy 3 sugar sticks for a single espresso and still very acidy had a sandwich and the cutlery was really dirty i said slow service but the guys are not rude or anything like that they are nice but slow

Needs thorough cleaning. Poor hygiene levels. The coffee, sandwiches and pastries are excellent. Fair service. It needs new, positive, friendly management which would make for a nicer environment. Someone down to earth and professional.

Although the cafe is in Tescos you do feel that you are not in a store. Coffee is good and reasonably priced at just £3.10 for medium sized coffee, staff are friendly, tables clean and wi-fi good.

We stop here for a coffee and croissant.one large soy chai tea latte and latte, it was all milk ! But the croissants were fresh.

Probably worth five stars for their expert service, great-tasting coffee & delicious fruity scones with butter & jam. They probably serve them with cream but not for me always, thank you. Oh, they do really delicious veggie dishes, hot & cold.

The filter coffee alone is worth the five stars. The food choices are typical of a small US coffee house.

Very nice coffee based in a Tesco so a little treat after shopping completed a little more expensive than most coffee shops. Ive heard quality of coffee differs with each site.

Good coffee and food, pleasant staff but the standard of hygiene has gone really down.. The tables, chairs and floors are very dirty. There's never a clean table, crumbs and sugar are just left. There needs to be a major clean and a system to keep it going. Ordered a much needed coffee this morning. At the counter the manager was argueing with a customer, she was rude and aggresive with the customer and eventually told her to 'sod off'.The staff are usually very nice but I find the manager highly stung, opinionated and curt in her attitude. Even when the customer had left the manager was talking very loudly to her staff about the her. Unproffesional, unpleasant, and spoilt the atmosphere. I think she needs replacing...

Best coffee I've had in a long time. Plenty of seats, large choice of food and very polite and friendly staff.

Efficient and friendly service. Good selection of hot drinks. Soft or hard seating and plenty of it. I use it regularly.

Very nice coffee at a really reasonable price, plenty of seating available on two levels, opens early enough to get a coffee before commuting or starting work, toilets inside tesco as well, pleasent staff friendly and happy, for me a decent coffee well priced and flavoursome

Best customer service & great coffee.

Staff o k. Not a great variety of food on offer. My toastie was only toasted on the top. The bottom was just soggy bread. Wd orob not eat there again unless starving.

Harris and Hoole are a great improvement to other cafes in supermarkets. The coffee is high quality and while it may not be at the level of the top notch third wave coffee places they are doing a great job of serving a good cup of coffee. The service at this branch is fast, friendly and efficient. They have plenty of seats as well but I mainly use the place for coffee on the go as I am not a fan of sitting having coffee at the supermarket.
