Good variety of plants. Staff helpful. Pleasant to sit in cafe and look at the view Food can be very hit and miss with the soup a tendency to be very bland.

Fab little garden centre great coffee shop

Such a lovely place to visit for a day out. Amazing to see all the different birds and animals. We got to see them being fed and the staff were so friendly and lovely to talk with. Food was amazing, great value as well, fresh and tasty coffee and a huge selection of sweet treats. Will definitely be back soon.

Mother's day Sunday roast .mushy peas on a Sunday dinner is a no no for me.No broccoli ,but on paying there was a tourine full.Beef poor quality ,service too long . we'd booked a table so surely they knew how much veg to prepare.Not a good experience ,won't return or recommend

Overpriced undercooked cooked food. Kids meal was £8 with no drink, red hot plate, undercooked chips. Chips were dripping with oil and undercooked. It’s a real shame, they’ve put so much work into the grounds and have an amazing array of animals to see. But the cafe just really lets it down. Second visit I’ve had where I’ve been disappointed. Gutted used to love coming here, but doubt I’ll be returning now, following 2 disappointing visits.

Very slow service Overpriced kids meals I don’t recommend the fish finger sandwich and chips. No tartar sauce no side salad. I think they should tell you they have ran out of a dressing when ordering.

This is a little treasure. Coffee shop is fab - really lovely selection at very reasonable prices. The setting with outdoor seating is lovely too. Plant nursery part is really good. We will definitely be back when ready to plant more stuff in the garden - nurseries are notorious for 'great if they have stuff you want' - this place had loads of stuff we actually would love in the garden

Los alimentos solo se pueden describir como OK. Patatas fritas triples cocinadas nadando en grasa/aceite. Los cambiadores para bebés son un cambiador que tienes que arrodillar en el suelo para usar. Han gastado una gran cantidad en extender el café - ¿no podrían haber mejorado los baños también! Había muchas familias allí con niños pequeños, así que no puedo ser el único afectado. En el lado positivo mi nieto disfrutó de los patos.

Nos encanta Harperly y hemos visitado muchas veces a lo largo de los años y lo hemos recomendado a tanta gente, pero nuestra última visita y ayer fueron decepcionantes. Sentimos que ahora es solo un poco más caro. A mi marido le cobraron 10 libras. 95 por un trozo de quiche que había tomado con una pequeña cantidad de ensalada y una pequeña porción de ensalada de col. No tienen ninguna facilidad en la caja para cambiar el precio si no tiene fichas. Cuestionamos esto y el propietario nos preguntó cuándo estábamos saliendo cuál era el problema. Estuvo de acuerdo en que él también estaría decepcionado por haber cobrado esa cantidad, pero no hay manera de que el personal pueda cambiar el precio en la caja. Él estaba extremadamente a la defensiva y simplemente no escuchaba ni aceptaba ninguna aportación nuestra. No es el mejor nivel de servicio al cliente. Muy decepcionado

Este es uno de los favoritos de mi hija y yo para las comidas y aperitivos. Estuvimos allí por última vez el 14 de diciembre de 2024. Excelente servicio amable como de costumbre. Las opciones de comida son razonablemente amplias porque no es comida producida en masa y tiene toda la delicia de la comida casera. Deliciosas tartas y quiches y deliciosos pasteles. Su sopa es celestial. Es comprensible que se queden sin artículos hacia el final del día. Después de haber estado 10-11 veces en los últimos dos años, nunca nos ha decepcionado. El interior del restaurante es agradable y se mira hacia el bonito estanque con mucha vida silvestre para mirar. Muy relajante. ¡Todo lo que pediría es que consigan más sillas cómodas para la terraza! He enviado algunas fotos de hace un tiempo el paisaje es aún más hermoso ahora. Vimos algunos pavos reales, una cabra y una familia de buen aspecto, y estoy bastante seguro de que había algunos wallabies blancos en el lado opuesto del lago! La terraza es apta para perros que nos encanta.

Only popped in for coffee and didn't eat anything but the smell of Sunday lunch and home cooked food was lovely 😋 nice outlook of the decking Infront of a large pond. Looks like a good selection of plants and garden accessories too. I'd definitely return..and next time sample food!

Me encanta este pequeño lugar. A menudo voy solo por café, me relajo y me siento con los patos. El personal es encantador, la comida en la cafetería es buena (Teníamos caldo de jamón y sobrino tenía sarnie de ternera con patatas fritas de aspecto encantador) Los precios son promedio para este tipo de lugar. Bueno, es invierno y creo que el lugar es bastante nuevo. Visita en primavera. Realmente espero con ansias el almuerzo del domingo en la parte del restaurante.

Lovely cafe all home cooked food . Lovely grounds and gift shop

This place was recommended to me a few weeks ago and we have been back three times since then. The view over the lake from the cafe is lovely. The food in the cafe is lovely. The service is good. The people are friendly. We like the 'quirkiness' of the place with hens, peacocks and ducks wandering freely. The goats, alpacas and wallabies just add to the attraction of the place. I've heard that the Sunday lunch in the restaurant is good too but we have only been to the cafe so far.

I have no complaints at all about this nice cafe. The staff were efficient and pleasant, the prices and quality of the food was good and the view over the lake is an added bonus whatsoever time of the year.

Poor selection of unhealthy plants, centre looks run down. The cafe might be worth a visit but we wanted plants, waste of time.

Fuimos a visitar la guardería hoy, era nuestra primera visita, nos recomendaron ir. Al entrar no estaba claro dónde entrar. Parece ser un laberinto de caminos diferentes sin una ruta clara. Entramos y salimos de algunos politúneles que estaban en muy mal estado. Parecía que no habían sido limpiados y nada estaba en ningún tipo de orden o en su lugar, así que pospusimos la compra de cualquier planta. Ni siquiera estaba claro si deberías estar en los politúneles. Buscamos en el aviario y había algunos pájaros pero muy sucios. La tienda de regalos no estaba ordenada. Estaba bien surtido, pero tienes que negociar muchas cosas. No hay un camino claro a la tienda de regalos. La cafetería podría hacer con alguna señalización, ya que asumimos que la habitación al lado de la tienda de regalos era la cafetería. Esto tenía una función privada por lo que estaba cerrado al público. Casi nos perdemos la cafetería por completo. Por casualidad nos caímos sobre ella, ya que podíamos oír patos y los estábamos buscando. Una vez que encontramos la cafetería, estaba en una ubicación agradable, muy bien ubicado y limpio y ordenado. Compramos tres trozos de pastel, una lata de pop y dos tés. El té no es muy bueno y la olla que nos dieron solo hace unos dos tazas, y esto era para dos personas. los pasteles estaban bien, aunque todo el asunto era un poco caro en £ 19. No volvería a visitarlo.

Terrible food and well overpriced... we ordered quiche and chips with cheese pie and chips and a coffee and glass of wine which they overcharged me at £33.40 when I asked for the reciept they realised they had overcharged me and paid me back the difference from the £29.00 it was. Very overpriced for the substandard food they presented us with serving us old dry brown withered chips that felt as if they were microwaved prior to serving them.... when we payed at the till we asked for some salad and coleslaw and was told yes it came with it but it didn't come with any so we asked again when the food was served and the waitress complained saying it didnt come with any as standard but came back with a tiny bit of both on our plates as if it was a chore when they should of been more than helpful after robbing us. Overpriced, terrible food and terrible service we will not be returning...

It has a very beautiful nature. It has a cafe with tables by the river. There are chickens and ducks that come to the children. You can also see white kangaroos and peacocks. There is also a beautiful gift shop. You can find many fruits, vegetables and plants. There are free car parks.

Visited this Garden Centre. Hadn't realised went cple yrs back. Quite a few new bits of building work carried out. Used the cafe this time overlooking the duck pond n the Lamas n Pigmy Goats. Was such a lovely relaxing area n a very extensive eatery... The plants all v well laid out n good value prices too. Looking forward to returning very soo.. fabulous hidden gem which looks un assuming on arrival, but a definate Alladins cave!!.... Excellent!!

Tea was served first drank our tea before our toasted tea cake arrived as it would of been cold by the time we waited for the tea cake . My tea cake was pale and white and not toasted very well.Service was slow.

It was a lovely place to go to, however we waited a long time for two toasted tea cakes, when they arrived one of them was hardly tinged to say the least, the other one was toasted, not impressed at all. Waited almost half an hour, Not good.

Brilliant place to visit, even the added touches like the Lakeside Tea Room , Gift shop and the newly built vinery which serves Sundays dinners now, they are to die for, well worth the visit.

Nice nursary with really good selection of herbaceous perennial plants many that were new to me. Reasonable prices. Very nice cafe overlooking a lake populated with amusing ducks. Very nice coffee and cake . Will definitely go back again.

It is a wonderful garden center that seems to be family owned rather than all the chains we are used to. A great selection of plants, which all seemed to be in great condition. We had Sunday lunch on the decking outside the Vinery restaurant, and the food was lovely and in an idilic setting.

Off the beaten track and worth a visit. Overlooking a Duck pond the Cafe is well stocked & Comfortable with Disabled Amenities. A Plethora of Garden Shrubs & Plants abound. One can drive through with walk restricted Disabled.

Came here initially to see where Stanley zoo was once located as visited as a kid. Stumbled onto this place with my elderly mother what an absolute gem of a place food beautiful with fantastic surrounds . Will certainly return plus lovely friendly staff 😊

Large variety of plants but not easy to navigate if you've got a pram with you.

Took the little in. To the garden centre and tea room. Had a nice kids meal scoffed all but his chips as some where still hard. But was happy none the less. Then we had a good wonder around picking up bee freidnly plants. Had a look in the shop for a bee ornament to. Then asked the staff for some more bee friendly plants. They spent time with the little in telling him which plants bee like and then seen a bee in one. The staff are friendly and happy to help.

Lovely little tea room. Plenty of choice and not over priced.. only problem was clothes smelled of cooking after been . Think next time I would sit outdoors, Lovely area if weather's nice. Had a quick look around gift shop, nice gift ideas. Will definitely return.

Lovely family garden centre with a realy nice tea room lovely setting.

The tea rooms are in a lovely location. But nobody in any area was welcoming or friendly. Neither in the tea room, the gift shop or the plant nursery. They only spoke when necessary and prices were high in the tea room. We will not be returning. Other nurseries and tea rooms locally give a much more welcoming service.

Visited the Vinery for Sunday lunch. 4 adults and A2 children, the food was very good and value for money was excellent. 9, yes 9 vegetables and all were well cooked. Although it's a 10 mile trip for us,we will be back. Tony especially was a gem!!

Nice garden centre but the best bit is the beautiful cafe with outside decking area (dog friendly) overlooking a stunning pond with a vast array of ducks taking advantage, it is such a lovely serene setting & the staff were lovely as was the breakfast, flawless!

Fantastic section of plants, shrubs etc at a genuine nursery with a Great cafe selling homemade cakes, pastries and meals. Addition of a lovely gift shop too. Great value and dedicated staff.

This place is a little oasis of loveliness! Having a cuppa and piece of cake by a beautiful lake where ducks paddle silently past and dragonflies hover at your table is a delightful opportunity to snatch some me time and reflect on what a beautiful area we live in. The landscaping and planting is whimsical and thoughtful, as you may expect from a nursery. The polytunnels and outdoor plant stands are well maintained and offer a broad range of species for all types of gardener and the gift shop is a wonderful, magical way to complete your trip. If the gift shop is the icing on the cake, the new country diner style function room, complete with licensed bar, is an absolute cherry! I can't get enough of this place, it just keeps on growing!

Staff are warm and welcoming. Food in the cafes is absolutely tremendous. Reasonably priced, great portions and home made. The grounds are breath taking and bulbs and plants extremely competitively priced

A lovely little hidden gem. Enjoyed looking around all the plants then finished off with some lovely homemade quiche. Lovely outlook from the quaint coffee shop and the added cuteness of the ducks roaming around 😊

First visit to this lovely plant centre, which had a good selection of plants and hanging baskets. Also a well stocked gift shop with lots of different very pretty gifts. Had coffee and cake, which was delicious, in very clean tea room. Staff were very attentive and helpful. We will definitely be back.

Loved plant centre, gift shop and location of coffee shop but very disappointed that 4 orders of food sold out one of which was just fish fingers.Had a cheese sandwich which came with a very small amount of salad hope this can change

I love this garden centre and the cafe with the lake view is really good.They had a good selection of plants that were very healthy. Prices okay. Think if I had to fault them , I would say I like how the plants in the indoor area are at a better level to look at and handle. The plants in the poly tunnels everything on the ground and at times it was quite tricky getting to some of the plants but that's just me not picking. Staff friendly and some quite knowledgeable abt the plants . I have bought lots of plants from them and they are all doing well

I went there last year with my cousin to pick up Christmas Wreaths I thought it was beautiful with great food and incredible deserts , staff were so friendly so I took my wife back yesterday as we were in the area she agreed food was terrific and we will definitely be going back again

Called in recently...the cafe must be really popular as the car park was nearly full and there was only me in the garden centre! Prices have increased as expected however the place is looking quite smart now. Only complaint would be most plants have no price corresponding to them... however must say staff here are very approachable excellent...all of them . Would definitely recommend and return.

First time there. The range of plants 🪴 is great. Poly tunnels just right.. The new gift shop is fabulous so I had to buy myself something. The cafe near the lake was very special 👌food and service great will definitely return ..can't wait. Only minor comment is some displays could be improved by design. Wheelchair accessible too but not too obvious on way in. 😉

Slippy surface on the decking was a sign pinned to a post but something needs to be done about mossy surface where the outdoor seating is disappointed none of staff checked a customer was OK after slipping and falling should have been added to the accident book still jo true apology after approaching staff disappointing experience

I only live 5 mins away my first visit food was nice but like most of garden centres not cheap dont like cheap tea pots As for food like I said good portions well cooked and place was clean
