Really disappointed with the portion of large chips given the price. Incredibly stingy and really soggy. Will go elsewhere in future.

Wow........ best environment I've ever been in, I felt welcome & had great communication with the staff, what lovely people....🫣 It was like being in a funeral home. At least they use expensive potatoes 😁

Food is reasonably priced. Staff are quite nice, they also have a no staff abuse policy which I agree with. Food comes very hot. Only thing I wasn’t a fan of was the lack of decoration in the building.

Been using Harlees for years but recently they have seriously dropped the ball. This was the 3nd time in a row that the Chips have been appalling, looking like left overs from the day before and totally inedible 🤮 Highly disappointed so now its time to use Long John's in Wimborne 👍🏻

Nice, good tasting, fresh food cooked to order. You do have to wait a little when they're busy, but ordering on their app will lessen how long it takes. Really nice fish and chip shop!

Missing kids drinks, tartar sauce. For the money portions were small particularly when items were not received

I’ve never had chicken jerky before - Honestly looked like the ‘southern fried chicken’ was fried for an hour. Never again.

Having enjoyed previous good meals we were lookng forward to a decent lunch but as other reviews have said the cod and chips were well below expectations. Small portions of dark grey utterly soggy chips and fish that was tasteless, with cotton wool consistency making it totally unappetising. Such a shame, will avoid from now on, off to Long John's we go.

Delicious food especially the chips

Very expensive, waited a while for mediocre fish and chips. Was shocked at £15 each . Definitely not worth it . Whole place was ran down and someone in the kitchen called Ellie was having a melt down swearing while we were waiting

Very expensive, very small potions. I Had a savers meal and got about 10 chips for about £7.25. Then tried to say that they had already given me my drink and hadn't. I tried to buy another sashay of mayo with cash to be told they only take cash in emergencies and wouldn't take £1 cash for a 55p mayo. Food was average

The staff were really friendly and helpful, the service was nice and fast, and the fish and chips tasted lovely with great portion sizes.

Tried to order on line was told 7 10, 7 20, 7 30, 7 40 times were not available walked to shop only 2 people there ordered buy 7 30 nobody came to collect an order my order came went home and it was delicious but really annoyed that you have set up an app but it doesn’t work.

Large Chip portion was not value for money

Monday Lunchtime, thought food would be nice and fresh, waited for fish and chips to be cooked, went home to eat, opened up lge chips and cod and chips, how disappointing, chips looked dry and portion was full of small scrappy bits, regular cod was also poor, not very white and flakes, batter soft and soggy and very oily, the worst £15 pound ever spent. Is it really that difficult to cook decent fish and chips, Could not be bothered to complain and take them back, my fault I know. Will just vote with my feet and not go back.

Very small portions - lunchtime had cod and chips for £7.45 - poor value for money - usually get same in Wareham chippie and portion is twice the size for same price!!

Had two pies, that had very little filling and the pastry was like cardboard. A regular portion of chips that cost £3-30. They were cold and got about a dozen. To cap it all, waited 25 minutes. Very poor, wouldn't recommend. Today 5.00pm.

Fish missing from collection order. Overflowing with unordered chips. Whole order stone cold. Suggest better attention to what you are doing.

It's an excellent takeaway, good cooking oil, but atmosphere is not an issue.

Portions are shockingly small. A large chips is smaller than a regular in my usual fish and chip shop. The small cod was so tiny. The tiny fish tasted nice, but the chips were awful. Online orders are prioritised, so if you walk in you have to wait forever, but online orders have an extra fee added for some reason. Just a terrible service!

Very greasy fish, chicken burger chewy - nice chips and good tartar sauce though

I paid £14.10 for large fish and chips. Wasn't nice tbh. Think it's cheap oil and definitely don't get your money's worth , in my opinion. Me and my kids got 3 small portions. Kids , didn't eat all. So must of tasted off to them as my kids love chips and especially love a takeaway. Either way , lesson learnt on why I don't buy takeaway and only support Turkish food. Definitely should of read the reviews first, before buying as the reviews Definitely don't lie.

Thought I would try the fish and chip shop again, but just like the last time I was disappointed!! The curry sauce was far too thick and very stodgy, only a handful of chips and the fish still had the skin on and the batter was awful, full of fat and very greasy and soggy. Sorry guys, I did try again to give another chance but you are just not doing it for me!

Very disappointed with the speed of service. There was only one person in the shop when we arrived and it took them twenty minutes to serve us. I would have understood if it was a large order or there was a large order ahead of us but we only ordered 2 pieces of cod and a portion of chips and the order before us was similar. This seems a particularly long time. It was quite well cooked but rather too greasy for my preference.

Ordered a regular chips. I asked to look at both the large and regular chips to compare. The person explained that a large chips is half the bag and a regular bag was filled to the top. So I ordered a regular chips and it was not filled up and quite frankly I found it extremely stingy! I looked at google reviews when I got home and noticed that another costumer was not impressed with the portion size so maybe you should sort it out. It will not be ordering again.

Had a really bad meal here last month. Fish was very oily and the chips were soggy despite sitting down to eat it less than 5 minutes after getting it. They also got a bit funny when I asked if I could have a tartar sauce that wasn't red hot off the counter.

Fish & chips were okay, not the best you'll ever have but not the worst either.

Harlees is not what it used to be. The 2 servers were both young. You could clearly see they really didn't have a clue on how to handle the busy time.. not knowing who's order is who's. customers were complaining about the wait. We waited 30 minutes for just large chips, small haddock, and pea fritter. Food quality was good, but it still shouldn't take that long. Maybe making sure you have competent staff at the right time would help get through customer orders.

No pies and no to cash, card only outlet.

Absolutely discussed £4 for the worlds smallest portion of chips, served by a girl with long untidy hair all over the place and chewing gum. Will never eat there again

Ordering online is grt ..Turn up & yeah it's hot & ready ..had various ish 'n' chips and all 99%..lush is my word & I'm not wesh lol . OK have to remember that gone are the days of a cheap fish'n'chips ..fish in many varieties so prices will vary ..also Breadcrumb or Batter.. Just the freshest though .

Very unhappy about the portion size of a supposedly large chips! More like the size of a regular chips. So much unconsistentency in what constitutes large! Ordered a large chips from another chip shop last week and it really was huge. I don't doubt the quality just the amount you get for the money! Up your game Harlees....

The food was good and collection was on time the only problem was the food was a little cold

Very slick operation, friendly and efficient staff. Great quality fish and chips cooked fresh to order in a timely manner. Apparently, there is an app you can download to pre-order for collection? Prices seemed reasonable considering the cost of living these days.

This Fish&Chips place saved my life once! When I was just a poor little german boy I went on a one week exchange to the greater Bournemouth area. While there me and 3 friends were being severely underfed by our cruel and devilish host family! One evening as the 4 of us went out in this cold and unknown country driven by our scorching hunger we found a lovely oasis of peace and prosperity in the middle of this frosty landscape. Like angels the chefs descended in front of us and cooked the MOST PERFECT AND AMAZING FISH that has ever graced the tip of my tongue! It tasted as though our lives had been rejuvenated and we once again were filled with energy that we had only every experienced at home in the mighty city of Heidelberg. Only thanks to this experience did we manage to survive the rest of the week and make it back to Germany without starving at the hands of the evil host family. Even to this day 5 years after the events transpired I will never forget the kindness in the eyes of the man who sold us that fish! Long live Harlees Corfe Mullen!

Our first time here. Was not disappointed. Slick well organised and the fish and chips were excellent.

Bought a lunchtime fish meal but fish smelt a bit funny and wasn't very hot then turned out to be uncooked in the middle. To be fair they gave me a refund with no quibbling when I went straight back in and said something about their 'timers' being set wrong but it's put me right off going again. Staff friendly at least.

It's improved since a few years back, much better tasting food now. Recommend

Disgusting service waited 60 minutes for 2cod and chips as they were to busy leaving customers in shop while they fill a cupboard with on-line orders

Not impressed this time paid £40 + for food. Burger was burnt beyond recognition could not be eaten! One fish a chips looked as it had been thrown in to the box from a distance. Overall very disappointed. Used this Harlees as it was local, no way compairs with the for from Harlees on Poole Quay. Do respond with an explanation.

Waited for ever for fish and chips, staff so slow, and there more interested in doing telephone / email sales than over the counter. Finally got meal and what a waste that was the chips were dry and fish very rubbery, ended up bining the lot, what a dissapoint.

Shamefully priced £1. 65 for 14 chips. Big wait also.

Does not take cash for a bag of chips. So I have no idea what the food is like. Seems ridiculous to need a card to pay for such a small purchase.

This was our first time using this fish and chip shop and we were amazed at how good it was, the fish was a decent size, the chips were perfect and their curry sauce was just yummy. I'm looking forward to odering from them again!

My drink was missing, otherwise ok food.

Terrible chip shop. I have just paid over £20 for 2 X regular cod and chips. The meat on the cod was about the same amount as a fish finger, with the rest just made up of empty batter and the chip portions were tiny. Perhaps even less than you would get in a cone. The shop is definitely getting progressively worse. Avoid it!

Had to wait 30 minutes for our food. Of the 4 orders in front of me, the woman behind the counter managed to get all 4 wrong. Absolute shocker.

Had a call from the shop to say that they could not fill my full order as I had they could not granted that it was gluten free so I told them to cancel that part of the order but they cancelled the whole order so thank you for I now have to find some food for dinner for my family not happy with the service

Food was the same as you'd find at any other high reputation chippy. Can't knock it for that but the wait was quite a while on an apparently Wednesday evening which was quite a let down.

What a great chip shop! Cut their own chips, and the fishcakes are fantastic. Great value all round. Looks like they have an app to use for advanced orders too....

Food is ok. Service poor. I know it is cooked fresh to order etc ., But even on quiet days there is quite a queue. The most frustrating thing is almost every time we order ( which isn't very often) they get the order completely wrong. Even when the reciept clearly shows what we ordered, and the place is dead 🤷🏻‍♀️

First time using click and collect. So easy. Placed the order turned up and there it was. Nice hot and tasty!

The wait just for chips was unbelievable!

Haven't been for years, they used to do really good homemade fishcakes, but ones had today tasteless and burnt!

First off, food is great - no complaints there. The reason why this is a two star review is purely down to the laughably bad service. First of all, drove over there to pick up the order to find we've been given the wrong one, so drove all the way back to get the right order. Staff seemed unbothered by their error, then failed to get the order right twice over. On the third attempt, finally handed it over and unsurprisingly decided to look inside and check it before leaving...and it was still wrong. Unbelievably, it took three attempts in total for them get it right. So, if you decide to use Harlees in Corfe Mullen... check and double check the order before leaving.

Well what to say staff that seem to have short term memory loss with the attention span of a gold fish and if I wanted a cold microwave meal I would of gone into the Coop down the road just because you don't have any competition doesn't mean you can serves dog food to you customers

Chips were cold and like the scrapings from the bottom of the batch. Smallest portion ever, ordered the mini portion and it was just a handful of chips. Mushy peas were hard. Expensive food especially for the quality I received. Delivery driver was lovely though and punctual.

Fast delivery and great service but unfortunately let down by very dry tasteless chips and not very hot. Usually these are our favourite chips but today they were very disappointing and probably some of the worst chips we've ever had.

Actually, a bit of a disappointing experience. It was true to say, we were the first customers after opening, but the chips tasted like they were reheated and actually rather unpleasant. Thankfully the cod was fine, but the two of us pretty much threw the chips away. But it filed a hole, and service was friendly.
