Great food. Very friendly staff and good service. Pity about the crap pop music that played. Not sure how TLC, Destiny's Child and Taylor Swift class as "Hard Rock"

Food and drinks were great, albeit a little pricey for the type of food but would fully recommend it.

The steak cobb salad was very good. The steak itself was surprisingly tender. The service and atmosphere was excellent!

Great night, Mallory was an amazing server. Was my daughters first visit and she was made to feel really special. Food was awesome. Would have loved small plate options as I cannot eat a lot and honestly I would have managed a kids meal 🤣 Only slight negative we were seated next to a large school group and couldnt hear any music from the tracks that Mallory had played for us. My daughter had to put ear buds in due to the noise. Not a complaint at all just made her first visit a bit stressful!

The staff were incredibly friendly & helpful from beginning to end. The food was absolutely delicious and very big portions for fab prices. I had the Bacon Cheese burger, cheese fries and we shared the hot fudge Sunday dessert as it was HUGE! Fantastic evening out 😊!!

Shocking. Food was dire and overpriced for what it was. Waiting staff seemed not to know how to serve. Skipped dessert because a) we weren't supplied with a .enu (despite asking/ being offered) b) if the mains were anything to go by, we weren't missing much and c) lost the will to live. A brand/ experience resting on its laurels, knowing that it doesn't have to compete for trade in this tourist rich city. Shame - used to be a brand you knew what you were going to get.

Mattia absolutely made our Valentine's Day! From the moment we arrived, his warm and welcoming demeanor put us instantly at ease. We had a disappointing experience at Hard Rock Cafe Edinburgh. I had made a special request to congratulate my wife, but it was completely ignored, and the staff seemed indifferent. The biggest issue was the misleading information from our waiter. We specifically asked if the Valentine’s special, Just the Two of Us, included two portions, and he assured us it did. In reality, we were served four portions and charged double the price. When we raised the concern, there was no effort to resolve it. To top it off, a tip was automatically included in the bill, despite the poor service. Definitely not the experience we expected.

So maybe I’m over-thinking this. I love Hard Rock Cafe because of the nostalgia and my love of music. It was busy (which is good, I guess!) and the music was blaring at times. Because of how busy it was, the turn around at tables was quick and could have been more efficient. We spent a fair bit of money, which makes sense given that we were in the middle of the shopping district, but hard to justify after the night was over. Oh! And we could only have our table for 90 minutes from the moment we sat down!

Very good food and very friendly, but unfortunately also very expensive

First experience at a Hard Rock café and it didn't disappoint. Greeted by friendly service and warm service who wanted to make conversation about our stay in Edinburgh. Food and drink menu had so much to choose from, the boneless wings and chicken sliders were so tasty. We had a lovely waiter called Michail, who was attentive to us and other tables. The atmosphere is really cool and was worth every penny.

Amazing nite out in the hard rock ,food epic service beyond perfect, atmosphere electric, our server Taylor couldn't have done more . Food cocktails service all on point ,if you ever had any doubts about going forget them its the place to go

Food and service were great, but on arrival the music was terrible, everything but (hard)rock. We find that strange. After our questions, the music changed and we enjoyed some Metallica and ACDC.

We went for lunch to celebrate my Hubby Bday. It was a wonderful experience from the welcome at the entrance to the nice service from Vito to the ribs and the burger and the wonderful brownie! A lovely Saturday meal in a fantastic location with delicious food! Definitely recommend!

Delicious food, as at any Hard Rock restaurant. Food was delivered quickly and the service was great. Had a negative point with the food, mentioned it to the waiter and he resolved it nicely! Very satisfied

Nice place to have a drink and a snack in Edinburgh. Very Central to the train. Scott rail is very nearby and they are a typical hard Rock Cafe but they have good service as all places in Scotland I found do

The food is always fantastic and the service is always great too! They have a great range in the Rock Shop, even though it’s quite small, they definitely maximise the space.

The atmosphere is cool and the food alright but I feel its a bit over priced for what it is. Good to go once maybe.

Anyone who knows the Hardrock Café will feel very comfortable here. Very nice restaurant, the food is of the usual quality and so are the drinks. Nice memorables on the walls. And the location is good for moving on to other bars and pubs afterwards.

We had haggis spring rolls and nachos and steak salad and pulled pork buger it was all amazing and can’t wait to go back

It was open on a stormy day, we sat there due to the bad weather, because almost everything else were closed. We had a Caesar salad, fajitas, grilled salmon and a messi burger. Everything was delicious. I loved the juicy salmon and the desserts were enormous. Friendly and helpful staff!!! Everything was great!!! I totally recommend it!!

Went for lunch today, vibrant atmosphere, tasty food, delicious cocktails and great service.

The food and the atmosphere were as good as it gets at a Hard Rock, however the waiter didn't live up to our expectations. First he didn't know what we ordered, then after we finished eating he was hurrying us to leave, especially after we paid. Also, he barely spoke English.

Been in many Hard Rock Cafe and this doesn't let the chain down. Great food, friendly and attentive staff, quick service.

We are regulars at the Hard Rock Café everywhere we go and it is by far the best we have ever visited.

Staff were friendly, however didn't know the menu/quoted the wrong price for something, brought me the wrong food - then took it away after I started eating it, then after I had already paid (without grumbling about the errors or higher than expected price) another member of staff wanted to check if I had paid before letting me leave. Emailed about the overall poor service and extent of the response was- sorry & we'll make the team aware. Clearly don't care. I've been before - like the food & would like to have been able to go back for it, but if this is the quality of their service & extent of their response - I won't be back.

I didn't want to, I swear I didn't want to be the usual capitalist tourist who eats at the hard rock and buys t-shirts. And yet... it happened, and it was too good. After all, it's hard rock.

Loved little seating area with a view on a street. Especially great Christmas time. Sadly in our hour and half sitting we havent experienced much of a hard rock music playing. But thats a bad tendancy that spreading over all franchise

My partner took me here for my birthday breakfast, and I could not fault it! John the waiter was friendly, attentive and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. The service was speedy but done with care, and the food was amazing. Could not recommend this place enough! The decor was great and music even better. They also have a lovely gift shop full of clothes and trinkets to go home with. Perfect meal.

Lovely atmosphere and service from Scouse John was without fault. My only issue would be the cost, it can get pricey when you start adding drinks but at least you can check the menu online beforehand. We were 2 x adults and 2 x teens and it was £160.

Interestingly enough, we went for dinner here and the waiter forgot to press send on the till, so the kitchen never made the food and an hour and a half later we asked and got told this. He then “apologised”, a simple oh sorry I forgot, and then the food was out in 15min. We then finished our food (which has quite big portions, but for edinburgh the prices are also in the higher side) and took around 20min to be able to get a waiter to come and bring the receipt because they were all actively avoiding our eyes to let the assigned waiter do this. (bit ridiculous that they didn’t told him we needed him, instead of just avoiding us) We then get the bill, and the waiter did this lovely thing: He reduced our bill by 20% to apologise for the service, but also left added the 10% of service charge. Therefore the discount was actually 10% We paid the same as if he had just taken the service charge off, the difference is that the money we paid went to the trunk and the company lost profit, because of how that was applied. The waiter made an error, still received his service charge payment, and the company lost 20% of the revenue. I wouldn’t have noticed but it’s within my job description to notice this things, so it really seemed the worst way of managing a complaint. I wont be back, but who cares. Who’s ever back at a hard rock in the same city? Ps. The waiter had the audacity to hand write his name on the receipt, which I think is brave (stupid really), knowing there was an obvious complaint and he wouldn’t get mentioned on a review for anything positive. Anyways, enjoy the big portions and poor service.

Is absolutely awesome. We ate here i think 4 times in one trip. We tried different things from the menu and everything was so good, great service and the atmosphere was lovely. Every single time we came back no matter if it was the afternoon or evening.

Staff were great as always in the HRC, but the atmosphere is odd. All the amazing rock and metal memorabilia and they play soulless chart music.

They took a long time to serve us. Luckily the company was excellent and more.

I had a reservation for one person at this restaurant on January 7th at 9:00 PM, but unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. Upon arrival, I was greeted with great courtesy and professionalism by the woman at check-in, who was very kind and helpful in showing me to my table. However, my evening was ruined by the behavior of a male waiter, who was insistent, rude, arrogant, and dismissive. This waiter, a man, repeatedly came to my table uninvited and invaded my personal space by unnecessarily touching my shoulder. He insisted multiple times that I place my order, even though I had clearly said I needed more time. His attitude was scornful and impatient, and he later escalated his behavior with inappropriate jokes and offensive remarks about why I hadn’t ordered yet. I felt so uncomfortable that I had to leave without ordering or eating anything. I reported the incident via email, but I haven’t received any response from the restaurant.

We’ve been to many Hard Rock Cafe’s Around the world, And always had an excellent experience. Unfortunately we didn’t at this one! Food wasn’t cooked, and service wasn’t great , Really disappointed!!

Went for dinner had to wait at the bar for 35 minutes as we didn't have a booking the staff were so accommodating bar staff looked after us with dri ks and conversation . Food was very good . love the rock .

Can’t book for New Years as you have to prebook online only. You also have to pay up before you even go for a set menu. Which translates to you’ll get a minimal meal on the day as they already have your money. Expensive prices not worth it. Therefore will try a nice Edinburgh pub instead. Who comes up with these ideas? Just take customers bookings as normal and serve the old fashioned way.

Food and service typical of the Hard Rock chain, but with a less spacious and comfortable environment.

I have been to Hard Rock cafes in many parts of the world. But unfortunately the staff here is indifferent. We went last year by making a reservation as a large group, and they neither helped us when taking orders nor did we receive the correct orders. On top of that, they demanded payment for the faulty menus they overproduced. Menu sizes are much smaller than other Hard Rock cafes. Fries were dry and cold. No sugar-free cola. You make an extra effort to buy ketchup and mayonnaise. It's sad unfortunately. It closed before it became a shopping side. The guests in my group were unable to shop and were treated rudely. And finally, I was held responsible for these and an e-mail was sent to my company, with unfounded slander written about me. The company was threatened that if that person comes again, we will not make a reservation. Frankly, they even played with my job. The reason I wrote late was simply because I wanted to relieve my anger. Sorry about Hard Rock Cafe Edinburgh. It deserves better places. Hard Rock Cafe lover.

Amazing food and staff are really friendly

We visited Hard Rock Cafe in Edinburgh and had a relaxing time as it wasn’t very busy. The atmosphere was very chill, and the rock music added to the vibe. The staff was friendly and attentive. We ordered the fajitas and a steak, both of which were delicious however the combo fajitas (the beef/steak) was over cooked and too tough to eat. The cocktails were amazing! Overall, it was a chill spot for a relaxed dinner again as it wasn’t very busy at the time. and we’d definitely come back again. A good experience all around!

Wow, the food is delicious, especially the beef burger, and the service is more than wonderful from the nice person, Malari, who welcomed us and took our orders.

Great location, really delicious food as always and really polite staff, perfect design and decoration. I strongly recommend this place for food and drink.

By far the worst place I have ever eaten out. Me and my girlfriend went here for some food. We waited 5 mins at the door whilst the servers had a little chat. Then once we were given a server she told is to just sit there. We both weren't happy with the seating arrangement so asked to be moved. Our server left and didn't come back untill she asked do u want a drink we then waited 15 mins to be served a drink so by that time we didn't ask AGAIN to be changed tables. We ordered food and I had mine chucked Infront of me and I was snarled at whilst my partner had her food placed down in front of her with a smile and I hope you enjoy darling. We both found this to be out of order. Once our food came my girlfriend laughed as it looked atrocious . The chicken was pink Greasy and inedible my burger was the same not even placed in the bun properly and tasted foul. We both ate 1 bite and decided it was vile. We made a complaint to the server who seemed to be much too busy to deal with us....we explained food wasn't right and again she disappeared. We waited with a dissatisfied look on our face but the server never returned. We got our things and headed to the door where we were met by another server who asked was your food ok. I proceded to tell the server about complaint previously made to the thing serving us. I told him of my disappointment and that if he looked at our table he could tell we hadn't ate any of it or even drank the drinks as they tasted funny as well for us both. The manager said oh that's really bad and handed me the payment machine. To save embarrassment we just payed the bill and left, I don't think we should have payed a penny as it was so bad and I am requesting a full refund! Ps the thing that serves us was very rude and didn't even present as a server she presented as just a mess and had very little idea how to help us. To slam food down in front of someone as if I had done something wrong then to say to my girlfriend hello daaaaarrrling is there anything elce I can do to help you... Then snarling at me like an angry cat ,is out of order and action needs taken. I would avoid this place like the plague. Go to wether spoons and get a better service for about £30 cheaper. Never had such bad service in my life.

Another great Hardrock Cafe. Good location and plenty of space inside. Service was a bit slow to begin with however soon picked up. The food was tasty and in whole, was a very enjoyable experience.

Everything was really fine. Better than most HRCs in the Mediterranean area. Alexander did a really good service job. After a stressful day perfect place to have a good dinner.

Food was not even average, Mac and Cheese was plain pasta with cheese on top put in the Microwave for 5 minutes. Another person i was with had the New York Strip and within not even an hour of leaving was severely ill with food poisoning.

Loud, rowdy and unpretentious. Went on a Tuesday nite and it was packed. In the end got a table pretty soon. Merchandise can be better stocked with bigger varieties

Fantastic Christmas Dinner and Pudding. Friendly Hard Rock Greeting and Service. Restored our Faith in the Hard Rock Experience after disappointing Service at Hard Rock Piccadilly. Will be definitely going back many times next year to The Edinburgh Restaurant and will try other Hard Rock Restaurants again too.

Went for breakfast ,Customer service was top quality,friendly interested in their Work& attentive to customers,food was fabulous.

The place was excellent, the music was great, the service had some points for improvement, It would be great if the hard rock sign had the name of the city...(like the other hard rocks I've been to)

Family " Treat" for Grandparents from family turned into a complete shambles and nightmare. I shall set the scene, booking made for 4 x Adults and a child aged 10 month with a pram. We arrived at allocated time to firstly be told pram had to be folded and left near the entrance which we did. Escorted to a table where "Live" music was being performed at level 10+++. We couldn't have been allocated a worse table of we had been up on stage as it was less than 20 feet from a speaker blasting the music directly at us. We tried making ourselves heard to the staff and we were moved around the corner from the performing artist and speaker. A high chair was brought and eventually our drinks order taken together with our food orders although they were shouted rather than asked for due to the ongoing volume of their live performer. One order was for jack Daniels ( double ) NO ice with a shot of coke. Eventually our drinks arrived and I was presented with almost a half pint of coke and jack Daniels. I managed to attract the staff attention and explained I only wanted a jack Daniels (double) with a shot of coke NO ice. The staff member walked away shaking his head. When the order returned it was indeed a double as requested in a proper glass but low and behold filled with ice !! I could not believe it, they had cocked up again !!. I began removing the ice and placing the cubes in a napkin a member of staff saw this and came over. She said she would get me another but I declined as I had already waited 25 mins for my drink and I wasn't risking them removing it and cocking the order up again. The food order eventually arrived and it was "average" quality and certainly overpriced. When I asked for the bill and card machine a staff member arrived with it minus the card reader so he said he would return with it........... You guessed it he did NOT return so having waited and waited I eventually asked another staff member for the card reader to pay our bill. By this time our 10 month old was extremely agitated and we were all stressed due to what can only be described as a awful evening. I saw the staff member who was supposed to return with the card reader at the bottom of the restaurant cleaning tables !!!. When the staff returned so I could pay our bill I pointed this out and also made a point that at no time when the booking was made did anyone say there was any live music on and also to try and sit us,together with a 10 month old child in DIRECT line of a speaker 20 feet from the performer was completely incompetent and downright dangerous. I'm sure if any of the staff have young children of their own they would NOT accept such a position. Having been in many Hard Rock establishments worldwide, the Edinburgh branch was without doubt the most incompetent and a complete disgrace. If I could have given a minus on rate your experience I would have as this establishment deserves that.

Hmm, have had better at Hard Rock particularly in Tenerife. Our waiter was attentive, but front of house was just too interested in her own banter to listen to me. It was our 46th wedding anniversary and when we booked we were asked if we were celebrating anything, why ask if you're not even going to acknowledge it. Maybe I'm just getting old and cynical. Even the videos on screen looked worn out. We are in a digital age of 4k vision even 1960's era video can be refurbished.

Another nice visit, food was to spec though must be honest the cocktail drink wasn't quite. Our server was pleasant and under pressure as it was very busy. The rock shop was very small but it had everything you could hope for. Bit disappointed that they forgot the birthday thing but as I mentioned they were busy. Happened last year at Dublin too and I gave them 5 stars so it's only fair Edinburgh get it too :) Overall good experience!

Last time i came here was when we was in and out of covid lock down and I was very disappointed, this time however was brilliant food was amazing, staff were amazing aswell.and so was the atmosphere such a huge improvement since then. I had the messi burger which was amazing would highly recommend to anybody. Food is a bit pricey but it always has been.
