Hard Rock Cafe in Edinburgh, City of

For music fans, HRC is a must when visiting Edinburgh. The food is very tasty and the portions are generous. The service is always excellent with friendly, helpful staff and food brought out in good time. HRC is truly a unique experience with rock music memorabilia as decoration and rock music also playing on screens throughout your visit. The restaurant is always very clean and tidy. There's also an amazing gift shop that you must check out too.

£9.20 for whisky, admittedly a Balvennie malt.

It's cozy there, but we only went there for a T-shirt for the daughter. And the shop was very small and the wait was long. But the man was super friendly. Which means the wait wasn't that bad.

First time here and maybe my expectations were too high. Food was ok. Atmosphere ok Not impressed by service charge being added. Expensive enough

Went there recently with the family, was interested in seeing the memorabilia, but the floor plan of the dining room doesn’t really help. Our server was really good (names starts with R, Italian), very personable, quick to any requests, conscious of allergens and good with the kids. The food is inline with other Hard Rock Cafes we’ve been at in PR, NY, ATL, Orlando, etc.

Bought a t-shirt first class service from the lady in the merchandise shop (sorry can't remember her name) This is the 3rd visit here and will be coming back.

Awesome place and staff, brought a pint glass from them at the start of the year, flew back to New Zealand and it had cracked. Got in contact with them and they sent one over no problems at all.

Food was quite good in this HRC (the portions were a bit small for the price) - but you could sit outside quite nicely in pleasant temperatures (by Scottish standards ;-)

Food was good, had a table booked but felt that they were pushing us out the door. Wanted to let our food settle a little before ordering dessert, however 4 members of staff approached us offering us to get the bill, despite sitting still looking at menu's.

Absolutely amazing food and drink! The staff were super attentive and kind. Luckily we had no wait time before being seated. Only slight gripe was that the music was very pop-ish

Visiting a Hard Rock Cafe in every city for a quick one or a meal is great fun.

Just had Lunch, fantastic as always. Great freshly prepared food, great atmosphere, professional service and scrupulously clean. Special shout out to our server, human, John. John went beyond and above during a kitchen issue and still took great care of us with a smile, a great credit to your restaurant. Go on in you wont be disappointed.

Too expensive for what they offer, hundreds of bars in Edinburgh where you can enjoy a good pint with good music before this one.

Stopped in to see if there was any music at the venue that evening (there was none). The greeter at the door was a pleasure to meet snd who gave us info on close music venues with live music starting near the time we were there (around 8 pm). Ended up at her first suggestion, Elios, which was just down the street. Liked the bar and the music that we visited a second night. Our greeter had a lanyard of HRC pins from around the world that was incredible and she allowed us to check them out.

Here as everywhere else in the world: Anyone who goes to an HRC knows what he or she is getting. Cohesive atmosphere with music devotionals on the walls and food and drinks based on the USA model. Of course, the souvenirs with local imprints that are only available here and not online, for example, are particularly nice for collectors.

I come in whenever I'm in Edinburgh, usually more than once. Characteristicly wonderful staff, great food and a fun atmosphere.

Friendly staff and food was almost good Delicious hot wings beforehand, but the chicken afterwards was on the dry side. The fact that they added a 10% tip was a downer. This seems to be normal there.

Very very good, John the server was very nice, the bacon and cheese fries were amazing, although i do have a really sore stomach now

We went to the hard rock cafe for the cocktail masterclass. We had Misha she was great, she explained everything to us as we both knew nothing about how to make cocktail and it was just the two of us. We got to pick the cocktails we made and Misha was so good at explaining everything that we were doing even when the cocktails were nothing alike. Misha even gave us tips and tricks to make better cocktails and the full bar was jumping in with help. 10/10 experience and will be coming back.

A place for all fans of good music! The cuisine is quite simple but good. We were served by a very nice waitress and the team was great!

Extremely busy but booked ahead so got a table right away. You could tell the staff were all rushing around but can't fault the service, our server was extremely friendly and took the time to chat away but apologies I can't remember his name. Food came out quickly, can't say it's anything overly special but as far as a burger goes it was very tasty. Seating feels a little crampt so hard to navigate to the toilets and pity you can't see much of the memorabilia on the walls.

Was very busy at the time we were there. We felt very crowded stuck in a wee corner, wasn't the nicest experience. The food was nice, the steak although had a weird taste to it.

We ate here for our son's 11th birthday, we all enjoyed our food. We are all vegetarian and our kids had the vegan burger and we had the vegetarian fajitas. The food was really tasty. A member of staff called AJ sang happy birthday to our son and got the whole restaurant involved. It really made it feel extra special and he enjoyed his birthday ice cream. Thank you!!!

Was here with my boyfriend to celebrate my birthday. This was my first time in a hard rock cafe but I will definitely like to return. Andrea was our waiter and he was lovely, checked on us periodically, gave me a free birthday sundae and also asked if I wanted a displayed birthday celebration or to keep to ourselves which I liked as I'm a shy person and was happy with keeping it on the DL. Basia was our host and as well she was splendid, asked us on the way out how our food was and gave me my free glass for getting a large drink. Its awesome BTW. Andrea also answered my bfs question about the badges on his lanyard which was kind of him as he was busy but still took the time to answer. Would definitely recommend this restaurant and I hope to return.

So relaxing and great vibe, great location, close to all attractions. The music was great and so relaxing. Definite visit for a meal.

It's a Hardrock Cafe so the interior is themed like others. Polite staff and our food came quickly, ate breakfast there on the weekend, Pancake stack, bacon and maple syrup and enjoyed every bite. 😎 Good sounds played all the time...

We always enjoy visiting Hard Rock in new cities, really enjoyed our food here and the wait staff were very friendly. The bbq burger was tasty and the salmon was also pleasant, the green beans seemed a little stale but otherwise we enjoyed the whole experience.

Food was nice and atmosphere was good, just the service wasn't great. Was my wife's birthday and they told us they were going to bring out some ice cream and sing happy birthday, this just didn't happen. Understand we aren't entitled to this but if you offer something it's bad form not to follow through. Waiter took ages fetching drinks and forgot us at one point, then got a bit confrontational when we asked for the service charge to be taken off.

Hi there, I’m still waiting for an answer. These on going issues are unacceptable for a venue like Hard Rock Cafe. I have been one of their regular customers throughly Just Eat website and I never had issues like this. They may have had a change in staff but clearly they do not pay attention to their customers. Because of placing ice cold cans of coke on the same delivery bag, these are the issues I’ve faced: safety: as our burgers were ice cold I have to microwave them. There is nothing in the description of the food that the wrapping they used it’s not microwaveable. I had to call the venue to double check Experience: what a disappointment to find some hot food places next to iced cold can of juice. Really, it’s not rocket science to realise the food will get cold. If they want to save money on paper bags. Place room temperature cans, rather use ice cube on my drink than microwave sandwiches. Taste: when you microwave meet and bread everything become over cooked and dry and it’s very much not enjoyable. Customer satisfaction: well… they don’t really care about us as we are not face to face customer financial impact: another waste of money as half of the food ended up in the bin. Overall satisfaction it’s pointless to tell them anything because no one really cares about non face to face customers. You even get called “Sir” eventhough I introduce myself as Erica. Please refund my purchase and I will stop using this restaurant and put this same quality update on all website to make sure no one blows themself up by microwaving their Hard Rock Cafe burgers Regards Erica

Everything was fantastic loved everything about the Hard Rock Cafe only the stake in my mains wasn’t great cooked to perfection but more that half of it was fatty like had to spit it back out again (sorry ) that’s the main reason for the 3 stars for food I had the steak salad but the service was first class

Had a great time Saturday night at Hard Rock Cafe Edinburgh. Our waiter Romeo was an 11/10 waiter; kind, charismatic, and respectful. Awesome food, awesome service.

The pictures of the food are misleading. The burger I chose had a fried egg on top but I didn’t realise the egg was extra until I saw it on the bill. The fries portions are very small and don’t last long. The burgers are very thin also. I can’t fault the staff they were very courteous it was sixty pounds for two burgers a pint and a vodka and lemonade. I think that’s pretty expensive for a burger joint.

Great staff, they were all very welcoming. Food was delicious. Even managed a pudding when I really shouldn't have done 😂

The best aspect was our enthusiastic server who provided great attention and checking and the floor staff. Sadly the food was below what we would expect. The nachos had such a small amount of topping and 'extras' such as guacamole, salsa etc were an add-on cost. The salmon noodle bowl was quite nice. Thinking perhaps a revamp of the brand may be needed. It was a quiet night so the atmosphere reflected this.

Great food, great atmosphere and brilliant staff. All team members were friendly and attentive. Explained everything really well and gave some good recommendations. Live music playing, which was good to hear. Would return.

We had a lovely lunch here! It is quite pricey but I always expect that at Hard Rock Cafes. We had the best service here compared to any other place on our weekend trip the Edinburgh. Andrea was a fabulous server, if only all hospitality staff were like him, what a nice man :) we did try to do the hard rock survey but for some reason it was crashing whilst we were trying to fill it out. I ordered chicken tenders with mac & cheese, my boyfriend got the chicken fajitas, very yum!!

The food is very basic and you pay a lot for it. There is nothing special about food that warrants the price tag Maybe 10 years ago but there are so many places now offering nicer food Staff are also very annoying at this place, literally stand over you trying to clear plates and glasses before your finished Also constantly hound you to buy the glass your drinking from - gets confusing, have I come to q restaurant or a shop!

I have only given it 4 * as we did not eat here, but the bar tender makes a fantastic gin. The waitress sevice was great pleasant friendly and promt and great atmosphere.

Really enjoyed the food, despite this being busy, we did wait a short while for drinks and weren’t offered any additional drinks. Did miss a few items from the table, but was given a bit later during the meal.

For such a well known brand and a great location on George Street, I was excited to be visiting the Hard Rock Cafe. After a great welcome though, things quickly went downhill... The place is expensive and menu range pretty poor. Everything is an upsell opportunity for staff - from extras with the nachos, or a fried egg with the burger, or cheesy fries instead of regular. An £18.95 burger is suddenly now almost £25! The quality of food is poor. The shrimps are smothered in a gloopy sauce; the Messi Burger served looked completely different from the pictures in the menu. Everything we ordered could have been better :( Unfortunately though, poor quality and expensive food wasn't the only issue.... The gents toilet was in a very poor state - the floor was awash in water, the sink area was really untidy and toilet paper all over the staff floor. For a restaurant of this supposed calibre, this was really poor. I don't expect to return.

Another wonderful Hard Rock experience! Lovely staff that want you to have a great time. It's one of the smaller HRC I've been to, but it had its own special charm and character. Great food and drinks, as always!

Visited as part of our trip to Edinburgh for my fiancés birthday treat. Food delicious as always and great drinks/cocktails (need more of a selection of mocktails!) Shout out to our server Will for looking after us for the night. When we’re back in Edinburgh, we will defos be visiting again! Ps for the other tribes winging on about the 10% service charge is clearly stated it in big write on the bill that it is optional and doesn’t have to be applied. Get a grip as 10% isn’t even a lot for a tip and people who work in the industry (us included!) work extremely hard and miss out of nice holiday things because they’re working, be a polite about it.

Hard Rock Cafe is my kind of place wherever it is in the world but service in this one was exceptional. Friendly and helpful staff made effort to ensure our experience was flawless. Food was good too, one of the nicest vegetarian burgers I've eaten. Not the kind of soggy, soft weird patty you often get in vegetarian options. It was a pleasure to visit, thank you!

Watch out for 10% service charge on receipt. Our waiter was nippy and had no patience with customers' orders . I asked for a white white glass of wine, he kept on stating red , Our main meal missed onion rings , and we had to remind them and then wait for them to arrive . Worst service in HRC

Took my 11 year old for her first ever visit to Hard Rock Cafe and it didn’t disappoint. Our server ( Kerry Ann? ) was wonderful , so friendly and fun. The restaurant was busy but she took the time to help us choose and explain our options to us. She also took some lovely photos for us, which was very kind of her. The food was so good and we enjoyed our evening very much.

It was great we all really enjoyed our meal and time there.

My birthday dinner was pleasant, but the bill was a slap in the face . £106 for 2 burgers and 4 drinks, with an unwarranted £10 gratuity. The audacity to justify such prices is laughable. Such a shame.

Delicious food and wonderful staff. Made a 7 year old ACDC fan (and spiderman obsessed 3 year old) very happy 😀
