Harbour View and Fraggle Rock Bar in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

So great to find a bar and cafe here on Bryer. Good selection of beers on tap, and owner good for a chat.

We always visit Fraggle Rock when on Bryher. Stunning views from upstairs or lovely in the garden. We've had lunch and evening meals - always lovely food and good service. Good selection of drinks too. We also enjoy the banter with the owner and staff.

A lovely place for a spot of quality lunch. Highly recommended.

Yet another business that can't be bothered to alter its opening hours on Google .Tried to call in today but you were shut despite your Google page stating you were open. Unprofessional and basically stupid from a business point of view.

We visited yesterday lunchtime. Judging from other reviews it must have been an off day but it was bad enough for us to decide we would not return another time. The service was off hand, bordering on rude. A request for a the cod finger dog to be served on crusty bread rather than brioche was met with a curt “No”. So we went for 3 crab sandwiches and the cod chowder. The sandwiches were ok but the bread was supermarket sliced stuff. The chowder was an unpleasant thick gloopy thing with a skin on top. We should have sent it back but my wife didn’t want to make a fuss especially given the brusque service we had already experienced. She wishes she had! The drinks were ok but the Doombar on draught was a bit flat. Obviously the location is lovely and we could enjoy the sunshine sitting outside but it was such a pity that the food, drink and service did not live up to the surroundings.

What could I say about fraggle rock , stunning food cooked with local gear .... Check ✅ Wonderful staff who were warm and accommodating ( even letting me and my friend in early for shelter from some not so nice weather) ...... Check ✅ And so many little details and displays showing bryher's and the Scilly isles history..... Check ✅ Me and my friend will most defently be returning in September ( with some better weather hopefully)

Beautiful little place for food and drink on this island

All staff at The Fraggle are really lovely and we spend quite a bit of time on our way to and from the campsite enjoying a drink or two here! Fish and chips on Friday are also a must, but remember to book!!

Didn't eat, but lovely garden, lovely people, lovely location.

Went to Bryher for the day and found this small bar. Went upstairs, sat down, took our jackets off as it had been raining. Partner had gone to use the facilities whilst I checked the menu. No cakes or sweet treats, no food being served. When he got back, we decided together we would go somewhere else. As we popped on our jackets about to leave, the male member of staff said "thank you for gracing my facilities" (as though we just wanted to use the toilet). I thought that was rude, especially considering we had obviously taken a seat to have food and drink and not to use the facilities. I was not expecting that on such a beautiful island. Based on that alone, we will not be visiting again in future.

A nice enough place to stop. The bar is on the second floor which for me I found really odd, especially as we had to navigate walking down those stairs with ice-cream and drinks. They also don't serve food all day which isn't convenient in the high season.

Love this place, simple menu done really well. An all time favourite for decades! Thank you for being consistently excellent and running a really tight operation 😎

What is there not to love about this place! Nestled at the top end of bryher overlooking Tresco, it has a beautiful outside eating area or you can just grabbed a drink and watched the crazy flock of sparrows that reside there. Food is very good, staff super friendly, facilities great! There's inside seating if the weather comes in with amazing views!

Fantastic food and reasonable prices. Run by a lovely young couple who give an excellent eating experience.

People think of The Mermaid on St Mary's, The Turk's Head on St Agnes or the Seven Stones on St Martin's as the best pubs on the Isles of Scilly. I think it's the Fraggle Rock Bar on Bryher. The setting is fantastic with sheltered views across the water past the rock to Cromwell's and King Charles' castles on Tresco. Food is simple but excellent and drinks include gins from the islands. Toilets are clean and serviceable and there is WiFi. Friendly and welcoming staff make this a place to go.

Good selection of drinks ( try Korev Cornush Lager) and food, you need to book for meals. Friendly staff and reasonable prices

The Fraggle Rock Bar is a must visit when on these beautiful islands. Situated on the magical island of Bryher call in have a drink and maybe something to eat and relax and soak up the atmosphere. The owner and staff are very helpful and want your visit to be enjoyable. I haven't stayed in the self catering cottages, but met some people who had, and they had already made plans to return next year. I would say to anyone out there, if you haven't visited these islands before, please do so, you will come back fully refreshed and looking forward to returning we certainly are and the Fraggle Rock on Bryher will be one of our first ports of call.

Perfect little stop off for good food and drink. It don't come cheap, but then, that view isn't cheap either, so I don't begrudge the price.

Not a particularly friendly place if you're a tourist

Fantastic little spot, luckily not far from the accommodation, fresh decorations, gorgeous view on a sunny day and a lovely little beer garden. Refreshing to meet the owner upon arrival, happy and smiling, fantastic! Feels so welcoming. Food was wonderful and fresh, the tiny tomatoes in the salad were so gorgeously sweet and perfect! We came back as much as we could during our stay on the island.

Nice location right next to the beach, a good lunch menu, airy upstairs cafe area and Troytown ice cream available

Typical cafe but with super cakes. Perhaps the furthest cafe from the landing stage but well worth the walk. Which should not put the less able-bodied from visiting. Typical Scilly Isles views, blue water and green landscapes. We did not stop for lunch but I doubt if you will need to book.

Food was nice, view stunning but service rather grudging. They were busy (generally reassuring, I guess, but if you are on Bryher there's not a vast amount of competition). We asked if we could see the dessert menu and were told we could but it wouldn't do us much good as they had none of the items on it. Ice cream only. Anyone can have an off day and it must be hard to source ingredients in a hurry but there are more polite ways to explain.

Friendly and welcoming whether you just want teas and coffees or a light lunch. Great views across to Tresco from the upstairs area or the outdoor seating.

Loved the cafe. Very hot day so had to sit inside for shade. First floor was modern and comfortable. Decor in typical seaside colours. Would go there again without hesitation.

It's absolutely lovely here, the staff are super friendly, welcoming and helpful. There's a very comfortable up stairs seating area which is beautifully decorated with lots to look at, with stunning veiws of the harbour and beach and plenty of out door seating. The food ia delicious! I had the fish finger sandwich, which was the best I'd ever had! Would highly recommend a visit.
