Called to make an enquiry and the phone was answered by someone who continued talking to someone else for a while, then yelled TAPAS at me a couple of times. He proceeded to answer my question in a flippant and surly manner while eating all the time. Decided not to go.

Cosy place in the heart of Whitstable with friendly and attentive service. Small portion sizes for the price however make this place quite expensive. The cooked pork was also a bit dry

We love the Harbour Street Tapas and go often. The food is amazing as is the service and wine! This Sunday we did their Sunday Feast. It was absolutely spectacular, amazing chicken and fish but the start was the carrots in butter bean puree with honey..still dreaming about them now!! I’m looking forward to the next one!!!

Great Tapas restaurant in Whitstable. Well, it's worth a visit if you are in the town.

A great restaurant! We always come here for dinner during our twice yearly visits to Whitstable. The staff are super friendly: in the past they have been very helpful with making the place accessible to my frail in-laws who are in their seventies and - more recently - were great about accommodating our pram so that our 5 month old daughter could be tableside whilst we dined. We’re big fans of all things Spanish and eat tapas regularly. The meatballs, chorizo, and patatas bravas are the best we have had in the UK. The Basque cheesecake is utterly incredible and so soft that it’s akin to eating a cloud!

What a lovely find in Whitstable. We stumbled across this unassuming looking restaurant tucked away, and we couldn't be happier. The service staff were welcoming and gave great advice with what we should pick and how much. The stand outs for us were the lemon chicken, the honey glazed chorizo (incredible, but definitely a dish to share, the honey sauce was delicious), and the basque cheesecake was wonderful to finish on.

After looking for spanish restaurants in the área, I have to say that this is the best one that I found so far in Kent. The food was amazing, I started with the ham croquetas and they were really authentic, delicious have to say, even better than in some places in Spain. Then I tried the bravas, although they were good, i don't think is their best dish, the tomato was dominant in all the sauces, however in a real ones, there is a mix of spicy oil/tomatoe (thats why they are called bravas) and alioli, the alioli they were using was pretty flat and didn't have much taste, I think If they change the sauces it would be brilliant. Then I tried the octopus and potatoes wich was nicely cooked, only thing to say is that there wasn't too much octopus in the portion, which is a bit disappointing looking at the price. And finally I tried the Spanish tortilla, they do it in betanzos style and it was good, however due to the price I was expecting a bigger portion... but not complaining is an amazing spanish restaurant that I would really recommend to try. We had a lovely dinner at harbour street tapas this evening, staff were friendly and welcoming food was absolutely fantastic with a great selection of wines. Great way to spend our first evening in Whitstable, would definitely recommend!

Came here for lunch following a recommendation. We had booked and the place filled up quickly. The food was fantastic. The prawn croquettas were particularly good as was the Iberica ham. The fried squid was probably the best we've ever tried and the pan fried squid special was absolutely delicious. Really lovely service. Can't wait to go back

I was recommended Harbour Street Tapas ages ago and I finally got to visit and WOW I was not disappointed!😍 First of all, the location. It’s right on the coast in North East Kent, so the great place to eat on a day out. Secondly, and most importantly, THE FOOD! Everything was delicious. And I must say, the best chorizo I’ve ever had😋 We managed to get a walk in table but it seemed to get pretty busy after us so I’d recommend booking! The Octopus dish was possibly the best thing I've ever tried, recommend this place for a visit if you're in town!

This is our favourite go to place don't get out much 😒 so it's always an occasion last time about 2 weeks ago it was our anniversary again fab as was the service unfortunately didn't get the waitresses names so can't give a shout out to them but highly recommend u do have do book as this place is very popular hoping to come in November for my birthday xx well done everybody u do Whitstable proud!

Went here as a walk in and wasn't disappointed! Food was excellent and staff very attentive . We had the ribs, prawns , potato braves and croquettes and hummus , waayy too much to finish between two of us . Made room for the delicious cheesecake though ! We are visiting whitstable for a week and plan on returning before the week is up !

Had lunch here and savoured many dishes from fish meat salads hummus and breads, nothing less than outstanding! Fresh ingredients staff attentive service impeccable! Will be back for sure!

Came here for lunch on the fly and had a seat upstairs. Not quite as nice an atmosphere as downstairs which was bustling, but happy they managed to seat us. Everything we ordered was great, including the tortilla and the great drinks options.

Top tier tapas - as good as anything I have had in London or Madrid. Our dishes were absolutely perfect. Great service too.

Great food at reasonable prices. The tapas were really nice and the tortilla was one of the best I ever had. They have a decent selection of wines and if fancy a beer try the Estrella Galicia which is a great lager. The staff is also friendly which is always a pleasure. Don’t miss it if you’re in Whitstable.

I think a lot of reviews have covered what's great about this spot - the food is DELICIOUS. A range of the tapas dishes are very, very moorish... and very dangerous for this reason! It's easy to keep ordering and ordering! This is a place a lot of locals know and hold in high regard, and it's no surprise at all. Highly recommended!

Menu is varied, so there is something for everyone. Not heavy food. The tortilla was fantastic. Reservation is a must because they are always full.

Authentic little tapas place in the heart of Harbour Street, serving delicious dishes such as Padron Peppers, Patatas Bravas, Fried Squid, Chorizo and Lamb Cutlets. The olives were big and well marinated and the house red was fantastic. Service was fast, attentive and friendly. Would have given it 5 stars but it was frustrating that they have a no dogs policy. I will be back but not as regularly as other places in Whitstable that do allow dogs.

There are times when you're having a great time out for a drink. Then you want something to eat and continue the good feeling. That's what happened in this eatery. The atmosphere was great and relaxed, the food was just so enjoyable and everybody working there, was so friendly and great. As I'm writing this 4 days later I still have a good feeling

Absolutely fabulous food in a clean and modern setting. Menu is focused and really well executed. The staff were also incredibly accommodating, particularly since I turned up as a party of 8 with 3 young kids and my dad with mobility issues. Really hope I can come back.

Lovely spot! They made such a good effort to get us in at the last minute. We had our dog with us, and they accommodated him really well (as he is quite long being a greyhound). Food was exceptional too- loved the croquetas and the cheesecake!

It was awesome. Nipped in on the off chance, as couldnt get in somewhere else-we should have come here first. Large plates, so flavoursome, delicate, yet filling, bursting with flavour & great service too. We will be back.

An amazing little restaurant/bistro, very casual dining and the menu was amazing!! Had ALL the fish dishes , sardines were bomb! no fishy/gamey smell, seasoned perfectly. Although some salad (even that was good) is needed or little carbs to go with the meat and fish . The one to leave a lasting impression was the GORDAL MARINATED OLIVES, it was excellent! please give it a try. my only regret is not buying more for takeout. Reasonably priced. Reservation is needed. The staffs are very friendly and attentive too.

Best meal I have had in a long time. Service was great. The waitress that served us was very welcoming and clearly understands what good hospitality is (an understanding that isn't shared by a lot of people in the hospitality industry these days). The tapas was some of the best I have ever had. The chorizo and croquettes being the highlights of the meal. 100% recommend and will definitely be coming here next time we are in Whitstable over any of the seafood restaurants!

Incredible food! Lovely atmosphere, great staff and really good music. Would highly recommend the jamon croquetas, the chicken thighs in romesco and mojo, the chorizo in red wine and honey was to die for...such a lovely experience. Will definitely return when in Whitstable.

Harbour Street Tapas is a must if you’re visiting Whitstable. Squid, lamb cutlets amongst many other dishes were so very tasty and really well cooked. Staff were really welcoming, friendly and helpful.

Such a great place! Very friendly and chilled atmosphere, with the owner of the place at the bar. All the tapas we tried were amazing. Their tortilla is the best I've ever had. We absolutely loved it and will be back when in Whitstable.

Loved the food here. Specially the ham croquetas which had so much flavour. Chorizo in red wine and honey was also fab, as was the goat cheese with honey. Each tapa is enough for 2 to share

We have seen this restaurant every time we go to whitstable but have never been.gave it a go today and was not disappointed,friendly efficient service even though it was really busy and the food was amazing could not fault the whole experience.we will definitely be returning with the rest of the family.

Cosy, intimate little tapas with a limited menu. That said, few dishes were outstanding, chorizo being star dish of the meal. Friendly, good service, can find better tapas for less money!

The food was good but the portions much too small for the price. The octopus in particular they gave us two tiny bits, even less than the other tables around us. Quite rude as well.

If you are looking for an exceptional restaurant experience within Whitstable then this would be my choice of venue. The food was wonderful and tasty with a good selection to choose from. Don’t miss out! My only gripe is due to the size of the venue, it is sometimes difficult to get in. I would also like to see a ‘specials’ menu offering new dishes for a limited period.

We were delighted to get a table after being unsuccessful last summer and were not disappointed! Service and atmosphere were great, and the food was fantastic - large portions, very hot and fresh, came quickly and was all delicious. Would recommend the squid, chorizo, patatas bravas, tortilla and padron peppers in particular. Do go, but book ahead if you can - they were turning people away.

My Husband and I visited here for lunch - luckily we pre booked and got a table ! The staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome. I have been fortunate enough to live in Spain and as such, so often in the UK tapas leave me longing for the real authentic taste of Spain.Tonight I was transported back to the Med... We booked the Tapas bar weeks ago as last time we where in Whitstable we couldn't get a table... I'm glad I was so organised..For just £40.00 a head which included 2 glasses, of Chapel down sparkling wine I had some of the best tapas I have ever tasted.We didn't go mad but ordered.. The bread oil and balsamic, a salad, calamari, and chorizo... followed by prawns and sardines...To be honest it was all pretty special but the chorizo and the sardines were of the scale... I have not had sardines that good in years and years....My other half loves his food but even he was full so when the time came for pudding he almost passed up the offer.... Thank goodness he didn't... If you never eat pudding again please do not miss out on the basque cheesecake too score this 10/10 would not give it the credit it deserves.. This cheesecake is like no other and is alone worth a trip to Whitstable ..Try not to leave this beautiful Kent seaside town without spending just a little time pretending you are in Spain... You definitely will not regret it...Throw into the mix the most lovely staff and a fabulous laid back sound track in the background and you have the most perfect of evenings.Don't miss out on this little gem...

A delightful and authentic experience of Spanish tapas in Whitstable! We loved our time here - delicious food (oooo the jamon croquetas and the squid!), excellent customer service, and chocolate ice-cream that is really good superb chocolate (can you tell I loved it)! A must-visit. Recommend getting a reservation if you can as this place is popular and usually booked up ahead. Enjoy!

Visited with a group of friends and we chose a selection of tapas from the menu. Every single dish was tasty and we left just empty plates behind. Friendly staff.
