Pleasant situation, friendly welcome and good coffee, what more do you need. It was nice to sit opposite the quay and watch the world go by. Would definately go back.

We visited for an al fresco breakfast after registering our daughters birth. The breakfast is a good price with a large amount on the plate..it was tasty though there was no choice of egg types. Also I ordered juice expecting a glass but it was a kids juice carton! We actually visited as we assumed they would be doing the eat out to help out deal but after ordering discovered they weren't. When I look on the website it says they are takeaway but they are serving to your table so it's a bit confusing. It wasn't expensive anyway so not such a big deal. I'm sure I'll be back at some point :)

Had an amazing afternoon tea with a great selection of sandwiches, cakes and scones. The presentation was delightful and my nan had the best afternoon for her birthday. Staff were very friendly, helpful and attentive. Would definitely recommend and will be returning. Great value for money.

Visited for a Prosecco afternoon tea not knowing what to expect. We were offered a choice of three sandwich fillings which were freshly made. We chose egg mayo, ham salad and cheese & chutney. When our tea arrived the sandwiches were so plentiful they had to be brought out on another plate. They were all delicious but the chutney was a real highlight. On to the scones, which were homemade and a delight with clotted cream & strawberry jam... Feeling very full, we surveyed the final plate which held an enormous wedge of chocolate cake decorated with flakes, two cherry flapjacks and two brownies. We split the chocolate cake before conceding defeat and packing up the last two in a little box to take away. All in all, we were very pleasantly surprised, and left promising to return. The staff were all friendly and the food delicious and great value. We were also impressed by the little gift shop which had some great present ideas. See you again soon!

Owners have done a good job of turning a great barn of a building (previously a emporium with loads of stalls over 2 floors) into something your not lost in. Reasonable selection of food and not silly prices, .No menus, its all on the boards behind the serving counter. That said my scrambled egg on toast at £3-50 was hardly a bargain. I'm guessing one egg on the smallest toast I have ever seen. However the jacket potatos (£6-95) were large with a good amount of filling. Not the best of days, cold and rainy with only 2 other customers when we came in. I'm sure in the summer with the tourists it will be a lot more busy. May I make a couple of points? There is a massive amount of competition on the Quay. Pubs, restaurants, cafes, stalls etc covering all the choices of food anyone would need. I appreciate today with the weather etc it's hard for staff to motivate themselves but is it really that hard to say thanks to customers as they leave? Tourists are a double edged sword. From April/May onwards to Sept/Oct there are thousands, so buisness should be good.. We often think locals are ignored in the quite months because of this. It's something like not saying " thanks " that make us go elsewhere.

Called in here out of curiosity as used to love going into the Emporium, the previous place. And was early for the ferry! Pleasant staff, very willing to help. Food all looked delicious, my take away salad tasty, and various options to choose from. New decor very nice. Everywhere clean

We called in here purely by chance when looking for somewhere for a lunchtime snack. Grat atmosphere. Very relaxing. Good range of snacks and drinks. Sausage rolls were amazing. Cakes exceptionally good - especially Coffee and Walnut and Mandarin Orange. Prices more than reasonable. Deserves to to well. Highly recommended!

It's only the second or third time I've eaten here (since I live abroad now) but the service and food has always been top notch. The pub is part of the Sizzling Pub chain so you can accumulate very generous discounts, my dad had 33% off the entire bill. My own choice was the 8oz Sirloin, with a side of peppercorn sauce. I couldn't fault the meal and it was nicer than steaks I've paid twice the price for. I enjoy my Guinness and on each occasion that has also been spot on. The pub isn't in the plushest location in Poole, and is populated mainly by locals one would imagine but I like those places. Big shout out to the young lady who took our orders, she was fantastic.

I visited this establishment recently, the food we had was good, I definitely recommend the burgers, definitely better than your average run of the mill pub or bar. The staff and other customers were friendly and welcoming. We all had a great evening and are going back for Sunday carvery 100 percent !! Roll on Sunday

Once again with great joy we were welcomed back to the Portsmouth Hoy on New Year's Day! What a lovely place with fantastic owners. They never fail to go above and beyond for their customers. I'm truly blessed to have such a nice place to enjoy. I only asked for a hot chocolate as my blood sugar had dipped and see what I get 😁
