always excellent, always quick delivery - best chinese in town.

Forgot orange sauce on order. Said they’d send it. Took over 90 minutes to deliver, refused to refund. Standard of food has also dropped right off in recent weeks. I’d heavily avoid.

I can honestly say this is some of the best Chinese food I've had in a while, highly recommend, will be back

Great food, we usually order a delivery and can not fault Happy Wok. Our favourite take away in Northampton. We would l in e to thank all the staff for really great food and service. Well deserved 5 star all round. Thank you guys.

Well it took a bit of time has I had to repeat the order twice and they still got it wrong

That is so bad restaurant you spend your money and you didn’t enjoy and they give burn food shame to this restaurant

This is my go to place, but I have to admit that the chips I got last week looked like they where fried a dozen times, and I had to throw out half of the bag as they where inedible. Apart from that, usual great food. But seriously, give us fresh food please!

Have recently made Happy Wok our new 'go-to' Chinese takeaway in Northampton. Primarily we ordered due to the 5 hygiene rating (very rare to find for takeaway in town) and for the reasonable prices. Food is always delicious and fresh, delivered quickly too! Great menu with lots of choice, cannot fault!

I think a lot of the reviews are very unfair. Sometimes the food from here is outstanding and very good quality. Other times it's preheated and cold and not that great. Sadly I think they're so tired of bad reviews they just don't give as much care to the food. Please get rid of stuff that's cold or preheated As I've noticed it's gone downhill recently.. especially.. and I'm very unhappy about the price increases I get that it's expensive to buy the ingredients but try to level it out fairer as this was a nice treat for us that we really can't afford now and i noticed less much tofu than usual which was really sad. !. Overall I'd say this place sells average to good quality food. Been ordering from here for a few years now and always delivered on time and enjoyed most of my food. Apart from recently!... Please don't let down the loyal customers.. like me..

Really surprised at the negative reviews, first time ordering ftom here and as others have commented I also checked the Google reviews after ordering and was a little concerned however I really enjoyed my food! It's a good old fashioned English Chinese take away, the pork with cashew had lots of veg in it whuch I liked, pots of sweet & sour were a good size and the egg fried rice and prawn crackers weren't greasy. Food was hot and delivered within the time scale given by Just Eat. I spent £25 and a small bag of prawn crackers was included but not sure how much you need to spend to get them for free. Will be happy to order again in future.

wouldn’t have gone if we’d read the reviews if you haven’t got tastebuds this Chinese is for you. Everything has no flavour, everything tastes like it has been reheated or cooked from frozen, quite possibly the worst Chinese takeaway I’ve ever had.

Walk in pick up and the food was lovely, huge chucks of veg and meat, yum. Very happy with the service and great quality.

I've been ordering from Happy Wok for a while and generally other than a few instances of rudeness when mistake with order they've been pretty good However I ordered from them a couple days ago, and have had the worst case of food poisoning I've ever had....been unable to work for 2 days solid and they won't even give me a refund. Definitely will not be using again and the whole experience has put me off Chinese food for the foreseeable.

Pleasantly surprised, ordered from the wrong restaurant buy mistake but when I got the food home it was so fresh and tasty, 9 out of 10 - will go back

Didn't think I would ever have to give this place a negative review... but my food was over 15 minutes late. Chips had gone soggy and had burst into the carrier bag my battered prawn balls split open when I tried to take them out. None of my food was delivered to temperature. Immediately felt sick after eating a soggy lukewarm battered prawn ball. Was not a good eating experience.

Ordered a delivery at 18.30 delivery was supposed to be for 20.00 now 21.00 and still no food...not impressed

Ordered at 5pm via just eat for a delivery at 8pm, it’s now 9.15 and still no food. Rang twice, first at 8.30 to be told 20 mins and then again at 9 to be told it was on the way.

Waited 2hrs for lukewarm food, when rang to chase order, they couldnt care less. Wont use them again.

I ordered my food some of it didn’t turn up so I rang up to ask where it was and said it did not arrive and was greeted with shocking customer service and was questioned why I wanted them. Then proceeded to ring me back after I asked for a refund pretending to be a different worker asking why I cancelled it. Never ever again food was hot but no flavour or over done, customer service poor, contactless delivery rubbish as delivery driver proceeded to stand right infront of my door and was trying to hand it to me with no mask or anything on.

This is one of the most consistent quality Chinese restaurants in Northampton and always take full notice of special requests

Shocking delivery, was told 1 hour, then after 1.5 hours we were told it was going to be another half an hour. Then after the half an hour we were told it was going to be another half an hour. Awful.

We always order from happy wok me and my girlfriend love them, food is always great good portion sizes and always arrives on time if not little earlier. Highly recommend them

An average place, cheap but acceptable. Chicken balls and spare ribs were nice. Curry sauce consistently good. Prawn toast needs to be reminded about prawns and wontons were flat. Satay sauce tasty though.

Iv used this takeaway several times n not had a problem... But now il have to find a new one they won't deliver under 15 pnd anymore even if you pay delivery. Their loss.

A good local Chinese takeaway, always reliable. My son loves the Satay chicken on skewers.

We normally go for delivery but everywhere we tried had a 1-2 hour wait so decided to collect from a local takeaway. This was the first time we had tried the Happy Wok and will definitely do so again as the food was great.

It's been a while since we've last used this place and it will definitely be the last! We ordered our meals and told the food would be with us in just under an hour...an hour and a half later still no food. After a phone call we were told the food would be another half an hour, so two hours in total. Totally ridiculous, they shouldn't be taking orders if they can't provide the service. The person delivering said only one driver was working on a busy Friday night and they were still taking bookings. I felt sorry for her, being moaned at by customers waiting hours for food. They should be doing walk in only, dreadful service on their part. Food was mediocre compared to our last visit, maybe it's changed hands?

Wouldn't recommend food below average and the last nail in the coffin find a metal dish scrub in my special fried rice avoid!!!

Ordered on Just Eat and was told 45-60 minutes for delivery but we waited 1h20. We love Chinese food but this food was terrible & more than half of it went in the bin. The chicken smelt off and was very cheap quality! Never again.

Until today I actually rated this Chinese, we order from there every week or 2 and never had a problem until today... Whilst putting chicken fried rice on our plates I noticed a thin sharp price of metal about a cm or so in length. Luckily I spotted it hit my plate but I'd just given some to our 6 year old! Called up to make them aware, the lady offered to send a replacement and give £5 refund. I declined both, she didn't seem to think it was a huge deal. Can only imagine if one of us had swallowed it!

Good food overall, tase good generally . Nice varieties and you get plenty of meat on all dishes unlike other Chinese takeaway s. Small portion of chilli source is 1.50 which bit disappointing fore personally.

Good for cheap prices , cash only though , good A1 set meal for one with a choose of curry rice and chicken balls and sauce for £7.50

Really don't know where to start.... Salt & pepper chicken and salt & pepper chips had no salt & pepper on them, chicken balls seemed like they had been fried twice, probably to re-heat them. The chips tasted rubbery and were also likely re-heated. Genuinely one of the worst Chinese takeaways I've ever had.

Hot and tasty with large portions. Satay chicken was a little dry but the rest was great! Will use again.

This would have been a decent meal if it wasn't for the stale prawn crackers that unfortunately put me off eating any of the rest of it... who knows what else could have been 'off'. Very disappointed.

The meal was fined with the exception of the Garlic Fried Rice (or Garlic Fred Rice as the website quaintly states) which tasted like normal fried (fred) rice without the garlic.

Delivered on the time restaurant stated. Fold was very good, not greasy. Definitely will order again.

We recently ordered a large takeaway on a busy saturday night, the delivery turnaround was rapid and the food was piping hot, they gave us a free bottle of fanta which was a nice touch, the food was ample and everyone was amazed by the portions, we would highly recommend ordering from here, we have never had a bad meal and will always choose these first when ordering a home delivery

Me llamó de vuelta a pedir cortésmente reembolsará como la calidad realmente me molesto y bastante frank arruinó mi sábado por la noche. Nunca he estado tan enojado en la calidad de la comida para llevar. Aconsejaría a cualquiera que teniendo en cuenta que el fin de este lugar simplemente para ir a otro lugar.

This takeaway has ruined my saturday night. I have now had to make a needless phonecall to request for a refund which the manager declined. I urge anyone who takes time to read the reviews before ordering to not order from this place. Absolute disgrace, never have I been so dissapointed with a takeaway.

Food arrived quickly and hot. Everything was delicious and good quality. Portions were big....enough leftover for next day. Noodles weren't very greasy which is great as too much grease puts me off eating Chinese. Would definately order from here again 😊

Order was meant to be delivered and the time was then put back half an hour, it then did not turn up for another half an hour. The food was ok, some of it was burnt. Restaurant gave fortune cookies as recompense for the hour wait, not great. First time ordering and never again!

Food was delicious and portions were big! Even had the chance to freeze what was left and eat it another day. Would order again from here!

The food took over an hour to be delivered and was cold. The chicken balls and omelette where stale and not tasty at all. Very disappointed and will not be ordering from Happy Wok again.

Fast delivery good quality food, spare ribs and green Thai curry with king prawns in our case, and £3.49 off the bill via EE voucher, what more do you want? Pretty sure I will order their food again at some point

Good food with big portions. Stuck true to the delivery times. One down side was it's wasn't very hot. Other than than, happy with the take out.

I've never had a bad complaint for this restaurant until now. I asked for specific ingredients not to be in the food I ordered however this was ignored.

10 minutes early. Which is not ideal as friends not over yet. Food cold and sesame toast overcooked. Watery sauce in triple happiness. Shame as normally our favourite Chinese.

The venue didnt smell very pleasant which is quite off putting. The food wasnt bad. Sweet and sour chicken was tasty. Shredded beef tasted strange, almost tasted old like it wasnt fresh. although, I this is the 2nd time ive eaten from here and the 1st time was much better, would eat from here again.

I ordered a selection of dishes, the Kung Po chicken was delicious, so was the sour and sour chicken balls, not greasy at all, and chicken fried rice was good, I was extremely disappointed with the house special chowmein it was slightly over cooked and the meat was dry and burnt around the edges.

Not as good as other chineses in Northampton. Won't be ordering from here again.
