Happy Wok in Northampton

When I initially placed the order it stated a wait time of 35-50 minutes. Once the order was placed that changed to 1 hour 10 minutes to 1 hour 25 minutes. The food then arrived 20 minutes late after waiting the full 1 hour 25 minutes. No word from the shop I had to chase a time on the app. Once the food arrived the complementary prawn crackers were soggy and stale so I'm glad I didn't pay for them. The chips were cold and soggy and the sweet and sour chicken wasn't great either. Rice was OK.

Great food chow mein was great and not greasy, loved the crispy beef , was perfectly crispy and the Chicken fried rice was perfectly cooked too very happy with our order

Friendly delivery driver dropped off quickly. Food was ok the black bean sauce doesn’t taste great but the kung po sauce is nicer(but not enough of it).The chow mein is perfect. However thank you so much for adding fortune cookies and prawn crackers for free, sending quickly and offering very large portions! :)

Best Chinese takeaway in Northampton ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We have been using the Happy Wok for the last 12 years. Never been disappointed! Food is absolutely great!

Really disappointed today everything was sticky because the syrup from pineapple fritters leaked everywhere because it wasn't bagged or sealed properly and they missed out my prawn on toast and everything was cold 😢

Have ordered previously and no problem, Sunday night went In and the person taking the order looked like he couldn't care less. Got hone and the order was wrong, so much so that my 75 year old mother couldn't eat any of the food as they got it wrong and delivered some really spicy food. Have sent numerous messages to ask them to rectify such a small problem and still no reply and didn't care.

Food was ok overall. The girls beef chow mein was great.my beef curry was tasteless and the rice was cold. Delivery time was changed to 35 mins later. I had already ordered an hour abd and a half or more before it arrived

Loved the ribs, sweet and sour balls were fab but sauce too vinegary, meat in mains were perfect but not much of it.

Food was great, but the delivery took more than two hours. I called the restaurant, who said they were waiting for the driver to get back, but we still had to wait 40 minutes after the call. The restaurant offered two bottles of drinks, and at least the food was still warm when it arrived. Still, it's disappointing.

The worst service ever and very poor customer service this evening .. 2 hrs for cold food and nothing offered back

First food was delivered to someone else and when we called restaurant for clarification, the staff responded inappropriate way and shouted at us and after posting late in just eat app they delivered the food. the manager of restaurant came to deliver and apologized... Really appreciate that. food was tasty

Our food was over two hours late. When I rang to ask about it after an hour after the scheduled delivery time had passed, I kept getting told the driver was on his way and he will be with me in the next few minutes. Well over another hour had passed when the food arrived so when I rang again I was pretty much laughed at down the phone and was told it's tough, they were busy and just to suck it up. Very poor all round as food wasn't great, average at best. Never again and defo wouldnt reccomend.

Ordered Chinese at 5.15pm to be delivered by 7pm, as diabetic need to eat on time, order confirmed by restaurant at 5.30pm. Phoned restaurant at 7.30 told it was on way and they updated time to 7.35 phoned restaurant again when is still wasn’t here at 7.45. Eventually turned up at 8.00pm. Restaurant phoned to check I had my order and was told manager would call but no call received. Would have expected at very least a courtesy call and at least the delivery refunded but nothing.

‘Enjoy your food’ what food? I haven’t received any food and I’ve been waiting over 2 and a half hours… safe to say I won’t be ordering from here again anytime soon.

I was really happy that the restaurant read my order note and cooked my chicken balls a bit longer due to me being pregnant, im very grateful for that. Food was very nice and hot. And just a bonus it turned up earlier than expected. Will be ordering again x

Prawns in both prawn dishes were cooked to perfection, I don't think i have ever tasted such scrumptious prawns in any Chinese restaurant, let alone recieve as takeaway, thank you so much! ❤️

Delivery was shocking. Order placed at 6:15pm. Wait time was supposed to be 30-50 mins. Called after 90 mins to be told order had left. Finally arrived after a further 40 mins. Food was only just warm. Was very unhappy having to wait over 2hrs. Very poor.

2nd time ordering from here, order arrived 10 minutes early and was delivered by a nice lady. Food was hot, tasty and fresh apart from the spring rolls which had a weird smell and taste, despite this I'd be happy to order again.

Really disappointed. Hardly any curry sauce on fried rice, curry sauce and chips in tray and the salt and pepper chicken is chewy.

Nice food. I am hoping to make my regular takeaway from happy wok. If the food is good in the future I will continue ordering from here.

Forgot orange sauce on order. Said they’d send it. Took over 90 minutes to deliver, refused to refund. Standard of food has also dropped right off in recent weeks. I’d heavily avoid.

Always takes ages to make and deliver. Such a shame as the food is good. Today it was 20 minutes after the delivery time which had already allowed 1hour 20minutes.

Food arrived 15 mins late (unable to select past 5 mins above). Chips were stale and with chilli flakes not salt and pepper. Prawn toast dry.

Delivery came quicker than expected before delivery time was given. Yummy food as always , my favourite chinese place to go to. The vegetable soup is always fresh & plenty of veg & hot , also the only Chinese i know that does a good salt & pepper chips & the springs roll were cooked perfect. And ma pot of sweet and sour to dip them in. Thanks for a lovely dinner

The food was fine. But if your tempted be the ‘salt and pepper chips’ don’t do it!! It’s literally just chips, with chilli flakes sprinkled over them… gutted !!!

First time ordering from this takeaway and I will be doing so again. The food was tasty and fresh and, unlike some chow mein, not the least bit greasy. The free prawn crackers were a bonus!

Thought I'd give Happy Wok a try and I was Very impressed. The food arrived at the time slot given. The good was piping hot and if you are hungry then order from these guys as the food portions are amazing and they go above and beyond for the customer. I would highly recommend and keep up the good work guys.

Can not fault happy wok love them the bbq rice is a personal favourite, and anything from the salt and chilli section is just wonderful. Bonus getting the free spring rolls very lovely.

Order veg soup & mini veg rolls x10 ( the mini veg spring rolls were a little overcooked but still tasted nice . And the veg soup was delicious. As for the salt & pepper chips i highly recommend. Lush and went down nicely

Let down by the delivery time (1 hour) for a place literally just around the corner - clearly due to the shortage of drivers. Not a criticism of the restaurant though!

Tried here due to the good reviews and hygiene rating but I'm afraid, Chow mein, rice dishes and chips that we ordered were not great, although hot and within expected delivery time . Will go back to our usual takeaway.
